Another greta Sunday lunch! Back again! Traditional pub, no frills, just 'nice'. Love the 'background music' playlist! Good selection of taps and decent wines at a reasonable price. Really good roast dinner, with a bucket of gravy. Go out of their way to cater to your dietary requirements. Excellent value. Best of all - the staff!!!

Food was amazing. Saw great reviews on trip advisor but it seems quite a trek from town initially. Well worth it though especially for the nachos. Only minor point would be burger seems a bit small especially as chips were extra. Nacho portion was wonderful though. Half wonder if we got a kids one though as my son ordered. Not meant in a disrespectful way at all but possibly our error.

Absolutely amazing vibe, good selection of drinks. Winter they have a cozy fireplace, the garden is beautiful in the summer also! Great little sun trap in the evening. Their food and drinks can be a little on the pricer side unfortunately, however they have vegan options which is awesome! The quiz they do every fortnight on a Sunday is great fun, £2 an entry and great selection of questions for all levels of expertise.

We didn't get a pizza and wish we did, they looked and smelled amazing and had lots of good looking vegan options. The local beer was very crisp and refreshing, the staff were polite and very careful to be hygenic, and the garden was really pretty and catches a good amount of sun in the evening. :) Would love to go again for the pizza.

Had a fab evening here last night. The place is inviting, very cool decor, and the staff are lovely. Incredible food - go on Taco Tuesday and you're in for a treat. Also the churrous and dips taste phenomenal. They have a selection of games we had fun with. Will definitely be paying another visit here before we leave Plymouth.

This is a picture of my Devon ruby red roast beef with all the trimmings. Lord High Admiral you did good. Food was excellent and so was the staff. I can't say a bad thing about this place, I eat here every few weeks and I always enjoy it. But i do keep missing the scotch eggs you do, hopefully soon I will get one. These guys are worth a visit and honestly the food is great, drink choices are fantastic... Mulled cider do I say anymore lol. Sunday roast is great and so is the normal menu. Great staff and atmosphere. Good pub grub, usual selection of commercial lagers but also an IPA beer from Totnes' NewLion brewery, and Tribute from St Austell's brewery. Unfortunately I was looking for an alcohol free drink but was mistakenly served a BrewDog Nanny State (from Bristol) which was only Low Alcohol. A small point maybe, but not when you're on antibiotics!! Otherwise it's a great friendly pub on a quiet street. Recommended.

Had the most delicious veggie roast and my family had the beef which they also loved. Desserts were fab, too, and we have rolled home. Great portion sizes, very full up and happy. The staff were lovely and the right level of attentive. We can't wait to visit again!

What a difference ten years makes. Used to be an old fuddy buddy pub has now a great new old vibe to it.

What a cracking place this is! Tucked away from the main roads, this hidden gem has a real log burner fire, warm and welcoming atmosphere, and friendly, attentive bar staff. I need to return to try what's on offer on the new menu!

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, when attending I often spend the majority of my time in the outside 'smoking area'. The staff are brilliant, friendly and extremely productive. It's a cosy bar, which plays quirky music. A modern, trendy pub situated near the city centre. This pub is wonderful and I cannot praise it enough.

This was a good place to visit. Friendly staff, good atmosphere end good food. What more could one ask for? Plus the meal prices were very reasonable, and the portions more than filling. Quiz night, Thursday of our visit, are good fun. Trouble being is that the quiz answers differ from most people's efforts! The ONLY negative aspect was that I felt that there were TOO many tables crammed into the small confines. Especially on the top tier section where we were tabled. Really confined for people leaving or joining. Perhaps that was the idea behind the design!! Don't know myself. All said and done though, a good place to visit and have an enjoyable meal amongst a friendly banter filled pub. 👍👍👍😁😁😁

Nice pub, more fitting for a trendy area rather than the bottom of Union Street. Nice atmosphere, only came in for drinks but they had a good selection of spirits and local beers. Seemed like the outside area would be nice in the summer.

Really nice pub with good food. We had a Sunday nut roast which was tasty with good portion sizes. The nut roast was more like a thick dhal than a firm nut roast but it was great nonetheless. I think it's a bit of stretch to say this place does craft beer as most of the taps are from the Heineken group; birra moretti, Beavertown, Guinness etc. Though there are some taps from harbour brewing etc on the real ale side of things. The beer garden is lovely and the staff are great. Overall a really good pub!

Finally found my local.... This pub is EVERYTHING. The staff, the sevice, the food - all killer no filler. The atmosphere is always super friendly, with great music and cosy booths and tables, oh and a REAL fire! Sunday roasts are the best in Plymouth, the veggie burgers, sweet potato fries, soups and desserts are to die for. BUT if you can’t choose, the Chicken Katsu Burger is always a winner for me. Awesome selection of local beers & spirits and good wines. Mid week foodie deals are insanely good value too. When can I move in? Cheers 🙌🏼

A great place to visit. The food is excellent and staff and service is excellent. A quirky " homely" pub with really nice beer garden. Gives the feeling of a country pub , but in the city or very close to it. 10 of us went there for a family birthday party and we were not disappointed. Definitely recommended and will be back.
