Great pub, friendly atmosphere & staff. Great to see it still had a pool table away from the main bar. Enjoyed the live music, space to dance. Would recommend for a night out on the barbican. We went to other venues, they all lacked the same atmosphere.

Great place! Really friendly and helpful staff. Portion sizes are huge. Ordered a sharing platter for starters between two of us and it was enough for four people. Should mention it on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious though.

Have been going in the Navy Inn for a number of years, always seems to be reasonably busy which is a good sign, it's now known as a bit of a 'lobsters' pub (I use that term in the 18th century military meaning).

The famous 29 Commando bar. Whenever I am in Plymouth I always garb a pint in here. They have decent beer on tap and selection of hard liquors. There is a pool table, slot machine and they always have the sport playing. Can get extremely busy at popular times. There are loads of military photos dotted around the bar and pictures of those who have fallen. I haven't tried the food yet.

Great bar, televisions screening football, rugby and other sporting events, also serves good food. Second level has a restaurant area and seating outside.

Huge thanks to Jeanette, India & their lovely team of staff for the professional & caring way our family were treated during our Dad's wake. Jeanette, your efforts in ensuring all guests were greeted with a "toast" to dear Dad, along with an excellent buffet, beautifully presented in the lovely 1st floor function room, was appreciated. Equally important, was the attentive service from the ground floor staff, who had to accommodate us in addition to their usual customers. Toilets represented the finer attention to detail where soap, paper & cleanliness is high in your priority. Having visited here for the first time (seen on many occasions from outside but never been inside), the Navy Inn has pleasant decor, with a 1st floor function room & large beer garden. Highly recommend & will be returning next time I take Dad's Bobber out for a ride with his dear Biker Pals xx

Good pub atmosphere. Service at the bar was a little slow but it was busy and there was only 1 person servicing, so no complaints. They have a pool table that is in decent condition, £1 a game.

Never expected this at all. We all intended to have a couple of beers and leave. Saw the food menu and thought we'd enquire. Ended up with 3 OUTSTANDING meals. Great sources well seasoned inc herbs !! ( pub grub) smothered chick home cooked chips and a fresh tastey salad. One of the guys had a stake he paid twice as much for down the road for two weeks ago " this one's so much better" . Cheers for your friendly service and cracking food.

Great sizzler steaks at very reasonable prices. Can get a bit lively in the bar area especially on match days. There is a restaurant area upstairs but you have to order drinks downstairs.

Lovely lunch of Scollops with bacon and a sauce starter. Crab salad, I had briefly, mushroom and cranberry pie delicious. Eat out on roof terrace in the sunshine. Good value prices.

Gets very full and very noisy, if you are looking for a quiet evening drink I'd suggest you steer clear of this place. The drink prices are a bit on the steep side as well.

Normally a good night out with a visit to this pup, beer a little expensive but it does pull a crowed, they often put the football or rugby on for people to watch, you can get the odd fight in here but it's always had a rep.
