Great pub great beer and great staff. But only down fall are the doormen. They are bullies. Hitting and pushing customer out and kicking him in the head whilst on floor.

Really nice friendly bar, quite dark and rustic but deceivingly big. Haven't spent enough time here to have a proper educated opinion but I'd definitely return and had a good time when I've been.

We loved visiting this quaint little pub on our recent trip “over the pond”. I was first struck by the overwhelming customer service skills of the bar maid, she was quite a Jewel. The type of bar maid that makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. Then O’boy don’t even get me started on how awesome the bar man was! They are on our Christmas card list for life, I don’t even care that you have to pay extra and actually go inside the post office to buy an international stamp. The connections I made in this place are worth it! The sprits are strong, the service is stellar, and the bathroom cleanliness is beyond reproach.

Really good place. Nice atmosphere, and pleasant bar staff. Been my local for a few years now. Only thing that lets the place down is the owner. When he’s in drinking with his pals, he’s incredibly hostile towards custoners. Couldn’t believe it. Guess nowhere’s perfect!

This place needs a bit of a spruce, but it's decent if you want to sit down with a drink or have a boogie due to the different spaces available. The tunes can be a bit hit and miss at times.

Good: This place has a nice outdoor area, there are pool tables at the back of the pub, Their are plenty of screens to watch sports on, lager tastes nice and is nice and cold. youthfull, Friendly bar staff. Bad: Music was not to my tastes, it all sounded the same and had very slow plodding bass lines very dull, and worryingly was turned up so loud towards the end of my evening it was clearly straining the speakers which looked expensive to replace if damaged from this foolish DJ. A man who spent most of his time looking at his phone while the music somehow mixed itself without him even taking his eyes off the phone! they may as well stick a mannequin in the dj box instead and stick the music on shuffle play same as he is doing and use the saved money to buy some toilet blocks! , Disco lighting was not very good and the acoustics in the room are terrible due to the wood flooring and bare walls the sound echos off of! Drinks are not good value for money The toilet i went to smelled utterly vile of urine obviously as there was no toilet blocks put in them to absorb the smells. Not a good dance venue, would be great for watching sports in the daytime or to hire the 'disco room' as a wedding or function room but not a great nightspot in my humble opinion.

Probably the most popular pub outside the city centre. There is a good choice of traditional ales and prices are reasonable. Lots of bar staff but can have to wait a while at peak times
