Only let down would be the regulars, an older group that should know better being loud and shouting across the pub to each other.

C. G.I went with my mum after Christmas for tea. We hadn't been for at least 4 years because the last couple of times we went, the food was absolutely awful.
It's a real shame because we used to go every couple of weeks for tea
when the children were younger.
Anyway, it has been recently refurbished and it is really lovely inside. Rustic & contemporary decor throughout with friendly staff.
My mum ordered a medium rare sirloin steak with chips. To my pleasant surprise it was near perfect. The chips were good quality and hot.
I had hunters chicken and jacket potato. Again, very good and clean quality.
The pudding was also good quality and a fair size.
We are looking forward to their steak and curry nights. I just hope they keep this standard up.
My only reservation is the load swearing customers on the other side in the pub but that's the area I guess. Also, there was what seemed to be a 7 - 8 year old boy sitting against the bar on a stool with his mum interacting with the bar staff. Surely this is not legal? Even if it is, it just doesn't look professional or even ethical.

T. T.The drinks were nice. The building was well organised. Kids are allowed in. Overall, it's a lovely place for a night out. The only problem is that the fake grass is quite dirty and my friend slipped. Indoor and outdoor tables available.

J.Called in a few times and found it an ok pub. Not eaten here under new management but food was ok previous. Beer ok. Warning though don't walk into gents too fast or you will fall in sink. Whichever idiot redesigned the pub toilets for Marstons needs shooting. Outside beer garden but on a busy road. But you get to watch the people play russian roulette wih the worst ever placed zebra crossing.

p. w.We have just had the most enjoyable time at The Hesketh. Today was our Aunty Lilys 104th birthday but unfortuately she passed away on 18th January 2019. We had the funeral today 2.2.2019 her birthday then celebrated at the Hesketh where we celebrated her birthday for the last few years. We would like to thank all the staff for the hot pot and hospitality. Everything was just right. Thank u.
