Food: Goosnargh Chicken in a Tarragon Sauce with Veg. Price: £8.99 The chicken was moist and cooked just right. It is perfectly complemented with the sauce (creamy but not too heavy) and the baby veg. I shall definitely be ordering this again! The new chef, Ash, has really stepped up the food standard.

New menu is wonderful. Great range of food at good prices. Had a great lunch and going back this weekend for dinner. Sadly missed this weekend's great weather as they have a great beer garden. Spring/summer diet is on hold ;)

Needs some TLC. Could be a gold mine. Was virtually empty yesterday afternoon . Less than 2 miles away the Hunters we had to que to try to get as its 200 seats were full. Needs investment. Staff and drinks were good.

Best pub in Penwortham staff are very welcoming and easy to talk to, there polite and friendly. Foods is really good. New menu is up in a week or so after they finish there refurb. Definitely worth a try if you havnt yet, dogs aloud in but not in the restaurant bit.

I had a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife here this week. I asked them to supply a buffet for this. It was just the best night ever !! Everything was perfect ! In fact better than ! Thank you Sarah & Tim . Thank you Jake, Steph, Heather and Mike ! You were all perfect hosts. A wonderful night that has fantastic memories. Chris & Rachel.

Nice pub to grab a quick beer either inside or out in the beer garden in summer. Food used to be excellent here, it's now hit and miss as to whether food is being served or not as it seems to change on a weekly basis.

It's a nice local pub what more is there to say the drinks are reasonably priced and the bar staff from my experience seemd very nice and helpful. The beer garden round back is pleasant and spacious with a sheltered area and open grass seating. Inside their is a pool table and both both and chair seating. Food is fine and very cheap in my opinion. Over all a nice place to go!

Small car park at the side. Was extremely busy due to firework display acoss the road bu lots of friendly staff available so not a long wait. Was £3.75 for pint of fosters.
