Absolutely lovely meals. It was our first time here, my daughter lives near and suggested it. Wasn't dissapointed with the meals we all enjoyed them. I had the large roast dinner and one of my daughter's did, it was so tasty the beef was lovely. Very colourful plate as there was Savoy cabbage and carrot batons and the cauliflower cheese was lovely. Homemade roast potatoes and two big homemade Yorkshire puddings. My partner loved the salt and pepper chicken and chips. Would definitely go here again, lovely inside and the staff so attentive, couldn't fault it

The kingfisher is definitely worth a visit! The servers are friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and home cooked and the portions are generous!

Visited The Kingfisher for a first time today and we were pleasantly surprised how nice is the place. It's a very big and spacious pub with plenty of seating inside as well as outside. The service was quick and the staff were lovely. We had Camembert bites and Fish cakes for starters. Also, Steak and Ale Pie and Fish Pie for mains. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Very reasonably priced too. Didn't get to try the puddings as we were too full. We also enjoyed the Manchester Craft Lager. All in all it's a lovely place with delicious food and good beer. We'll be back!

Good food and bar/serving staff very friendly. We went on a Sunday and the place wasn't that busy. We were greeted at the door by a chap who wasn't particularly Welcoming who asked us if we had a reservation. As we assumed they would do walk-ins as it wasn't that busy was surprised when he basically rolled his eyes she made us wait. We did eventually get seated and other staff were lovely and we had a great meal. It is a nice place generally and we would go again.

Eaten here a couple of times as a family of six people including one adult with limited walking, one child with autism and one child in a wheelchair. Access is good. Music playing in background is not too loud. Service is swift and pleasant. Most importantly, there is a great selection on the menu for all tastes and ages and at reasonable prices. We've eaten a mixture of vegetarian, kids meals and steak. All food has been delicious and we've had no reason to complain on either of our visits. Portion sizes are very well judged. We've left a full set of empty plates, but also departed feeling full. For anyone staying at the nearby Ribby Hall Village, this is a great alternative to eating on site. We will hopefully return here again soon.

Great pub. So welcoming and keen to help. We based an event here for about 30+ runners and the staff were great. Food was excellent and just different enough not to be the rather boring standard fare- loved my fresh veggies. Beer was pretty good too

Guy on front of house was about as welcoming as a hungry rottweiler. Had a couple of drinks and hubby had the best steak pie ever, although it initially came out cold in the middle, it was re served and he loved it. Waiting staff were so friendly and pleasant

Lovely clean pub/restaurant with very friendly staff. Highly recommend the Steak and Mushroom Suet Pudding which I had on our first visit, it was gorgeous, I had scampi on our second visit which I enjoyed,my only criticism would be the tartar sauce which was in sachets, not a fan, this dish would definitely benefit with a side dish of homemade tartar sauce. 🙂

Lovely food and friendly staff. Had double bacon cheeseburger and was blown away by the taste. 2 smash parties perfectly charred, bacon on top of and in between the patties and grilled cheese to top it off. Soooooo tasty. And the honey, soy sauce and sesame seed chicken wings are to die for. Wife had the lamb shank which was huge, meaty and flavoursome. Will definately be back.

went for a Sunday lunch with family and friends. unfortunately git held up in traffic which meant we were 10 minutes late for our booking. greeted rudely by the male manager before being seated. all other staff were very polite and friendly. Ordered food and drinks (roast dinner) but unfortunately the food wasn't great. beef was tough and overall nothing to rave about. All in all, quite underwhelming and probably won't visit again.

We visited the Kingfisher this afternoon and was pleasantly greeted by a nice friendly man who showed us to our table. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and a generous serving. I can highly recommend the fishcakes and the tikka masala. Staff were kind, curtious and a credit to the owners. If you get chance to visit especially if your based at Ribby Hall I recommend you try the kingfisher, you won't be disappointed x

We recently visited The Kingfisher for an all day get together of various family and friends from the local area. I made the booking from Canada and turned up not knowing what to expect. I was blown away. The place was lovely spacious and we had a great table set for us away from the rest of the pub. The drinks and food were great, service very good, and the owners absolutely lovely. I would have no hesitation in coming back here again the next time I visit home! Top marks all round. Thank you!

I have visited the Kingfisher three times now, it is very welcoming and staff are very proactive in their customer service. I have not been disappointed with the food I have chosen which includes starters, main courses and desserts. I Have enjoyed my visits and have no problem in making this a regular venue for lunch or tea.

Took my family out for a meal on the here on the 8th April. First time I have visited The kingfisher, as I have heard my daughter in law mention, she has been with her grandparents. Really good service and amazing food. We ordered chicken tikka masala which was nice and a side of mash which was just amazing. We read some of the reviews prior to going and nearly didnt but we felt some of the reviews were a little unkind. We came as a family today, we booked it over the phone for about an hour after our call because we weren't sure if you had to with COVID and it being close ish to a tourist area. When we got there we needn't because it wasn't that busy. We were greeted by a smartly dressed young man who showed us to our seats. I asked if we could have a seat near the park so we can keep an eye on the little one and he said he'd already done but I imagine changing wouldn't be an issue. The arrival of menus and drinks was standard speed. The park was a climbing frame, slide with wood chip floor. It was fenced off with only one way in and out. The only snag is the exit door wouldn't have been openable by little ones wanting to come back in as it was rigged as a 1 way system and would need watching constantly by adults (which we should do anyway). The food arrived in good, normal time. I had veg lasagne, wife had roast dinner (they only do this on Sundays), girls had salt and pepper chicken and youngest had pizza, peas and chips. Portions were good and quality was good. The roast dinner was actually extremely good. All the vegetables were full of flavour. I cant remember the price but it would have been about £60 including drinks. We spoke to several staff and they were all friendly and helpful. Good experience and we went back the next day but were gutted they only did the roast dinner on Sundays. For that they lose a star. Only kidding...

Visited on a Saturday at 4.30pm. 17 of us including 9 children. They gave us use of the function room and provided the tv remote. Very pleased. After a wait which they advised us when ordering all food served together which was nice. majority of food good(Hunter's chicken did not get good feedback from party but rest was good). The pub has a nice feel and service friendly and there to help. Impressed how they coped so well with our large group.

We booked the Kingfisher for my 50th Birthday celebrations with my family. There were 12 of us which they accommodated within Covid regulations. The staff were so lovely and could not do enough for us including decorating the area for us. We food and drinks were excellent never had to wait too long. Food very tasty and filling. Anthony was the point of contact for my wife and went above and beyond. We are so glad we chose the Kingfisher to celebrate at. Thanks very much. Xx

This was my second visit and we weren't disappointed. We were made to feel very welcome drinks order and food order was quick. I had Katsu Curry and my friend had poached salmon salad. Extremely grateful to all the staff for accommodating our large group (8 adults and 9 children) on the spot on a Saturday tea time after we had been to Ribby Hall swimming in the afternoon for our daughter's 10th birthday with her family!They managed to not only find space for us all to sit together but also bring out all the meals at a similar time so we were all eating together. Also, they managed it so that we could pay for the meals on 4 separate bills easily, allowed us to put music/children's TV on in the room to entertain the children whilst we waited for food to arrive (which wasn't too long considering the number of us) and set up & brought in the birthday cake we had taken for the birthday girl! Plus, everybody enjoyed their food!!!A huge thank you to all the staff involved - would definitely recommend!

Tried this place today for the first time. Quiet, very spacious and pleasant interior. Very tasty roast meal had by all at a fair cost. Crisp vegetables (not watery like some of the other pubs we've eaten in). Minor critique is they could improve their gravy. We will definately return again.

We came across this pub driving. We were greeted by a very friendly welcoming team. Very clean n fresh inside. Table service was great. We ordered the big mixed grill food was great and a good portion for money. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Really attractive pub/restaurant under appreciated probably due to its location set back on the Kirkham by-pass. Its a real shame that it's not better advertised as the decor is beautiful, it's a very comfortable modern place and the young staff are attentive without being overly so. They have a decent menu using local produce and presentation is very skilled, they obviously care about their food. The prices are a bit in the high side but I'm sure this is due in part to lack of customer volume. We both think it's still good value for the quality. They offer specially priced items for mature customers and specials which I'm sure are updated regularly. They used to offer the very well priced buffet but this is now gone as I suppose it was not economic for their level of customers during the day. There is a large free car park, outside seasonal seating and deserves to be more popular. As the saying goes 'Use it or lose it' so if you are in the area between Kirkham and Blackpool or visiting the new football stadium or shops pop in for a very tasty meal and a drink.

I came here for my twin girls 5th birthday with family and friends. I can not express enough how impressed I am with the service and the food. I used to come here before this management change and I highly recommend it. The presentation of the food as well as the taste was just perfect. I will defiantly be coming back here again. Man, your food is next level, when compared with like a chain pub i.e. Brewer's Fayre or Marston's I mean, you've just upped the game here. Your food was so much better in terms of quality and taste plus the pub had a much nicer feel/ atmosphere as to your normal chain pub. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend the Kingfisher burger which exceeded my expectations :) You guys have just nailed it with everything and the 2 for £15 deal is the cherry on top! The staff are great too! We will most likely visit again after a day out! Cheers

The Kingfisher is a laid back relaxing place. It is family friendly. There is a children's play area, free parking. You can eat outside and inside.

A party of 6, we visited the Kingfisher without a reservation on Saturday 2md Feb. It was no issue as there was ample of seating available. Having not visited the KF for many years it was a pleasant suprise. My family had mixed reviews, but due to the locality and other factors they decided to give the restaurant another try. By the end of our visit we were already arranging.the next visit. The service was exceptional. Alan, the gentleman that waited on our table was an absolute credit to the team. Any questions on the food, drinks he not only had a response, but he clearly knew what he was talking about, especially the craft ales and wine menu. The menu offered some lovely choices including 'pub classics', nice array of specials, a delightful and varied deserts that anyone would enjoy and no doubt struggle to choose. We ordered, Fish & Chips, Gannon (on of the best I have had), KF messy burger (cooked to perfection!), the deserts were also highly rated especially the ice cream. Not only a large choice of flavours, but just as delicious. Over all we had a lovely time, great food, drinks and fabulous service.

The burgers are very nice and a good selection of Ales. Nice atmosphere and a play area for the kids outside. Update: the food is amazing here and the price is almost unbelievable a table of 3 can eat and drink for less than 40 quid.

Coming from Preston to see the illuminations, we thought we'd stop off for tea. Not been in the Kingfisher for a long long time. Myself, my wife and our 2 boys were greeted very warmly and went to our table. The customer service was excellent especially from the very nice gentleman who took our order.(sorry, no name badge). He was very knowledgeable and gave us recommendations. As for the food, it came very promptly and each dish we had was hot and very tasty, especially the liver and bacon which my wife had and the tikka marsala which was just perfect for my 13 year old. As for the Kingfisher platter (mine), the batter was perfect and as for the messy chips, they were new to me and were delicious. Overall, everything was faultless and we will visit again soon and hopefully it's just as good. Thank you The Kingfisher.
