The Moorbrook One word: Pizza! Short review : Stunning pizzas. Beer garden. Great selection of beers. William Morris wallpaper. Again... Wow pizzas! Detailed review: We happened to be near Moor Park and the Preston CAMRA guidebook led us to this hidden gem. I am surprised not many people talk about this place as it's wood fired pizzas are so astoundingly good. What greets you when you enter is a standard English pub with wooden decor. There are two rooms with strawberry thief wallpaper, simple furniture, multiple books & games, a few screens playing Sky sports and an impressive selection of beer on tap. We were told that the beer garden is good but we were comfortable indoors. We had a tough time deciding on the beer, cause there is quite a bit to choose from. I guess it's OK to make mistakes and discover new flavours. The halloumi fries were simply fried halloumis which were understandably salty but were well balanced with the exceedingly sweet chilli dip. An extreme flavour battle. We had the "Buffalo got beef" pizza. Stunning! The amalgamation of mozzarella, buffalo chicken, pastrami, chilli and blue cheese was extremely satisfying. Refreshing and tantalising us for more. The pizzas tasted best hot. Gluttony is a sin and we indulged in it by devouring a portion of loaded fries, which stuffed us and gave us a salt-moreish overload. The beef chilli loaded chips with guacamole, sour cream & salsa could be a meal in itself. Interesting flavours, but the pizza was the hands-down winner. Possibly one of the best pizza in the city. Highly recommended! Great pizza & beer..perfect ingredients for a good life /evening.

Absolutely loved it. Not at all as it was back on the day. Now a heaven of real ale and authentic pizza from a wood fired oven. Inside its an old school looking bar with a wide selection of beers. They will let you try before you buy. They still have the old school rooms and cast iron tables . True to the pubs heritage. Round to the rear, past the free to use table tennis table ! Random but works, and large outdoor/ cover area with seating for plenty. Had pizzas the were cooked perfectly. Loads of choice. Plus the toilets were clean too. Would highly recommend a visit.

Great place with possibly the best selection of roating ales in Preston. Very reasonably priced drinks and great pizzas! (real stone oven). Also a huuuuuge beer garden. Perfect for student night outs or for bringing your family. 100% reccomend. Oh…also…doggo friendly!

The Moorbrook is an amazing little pub which has undergone a massive refurbishment to make it an even better place than it already was. It has a small indoor seating area but due to covid they have built this wonderful & big outside area, with lots of cushions and seating and a great vibe. Their food is second to none for a pub, the stone baked pizzas are some of the best you'll get in Preston (served with a local ale!) and their halloumi chips are extremely nice too. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Easily the best pub in Preston.

Best pub in town by along way, quality selection of beers and ales the pizzas are top notch and the staff are some of the nicest people you could hope to meet, I think dunc must have had a bad day at the bookies and should stick to weatherspoons.

Ordered the weekly pizza special "You Had Me At Harissa" sticky Harissa Chicken & Halloumi, finished with pomegranate, rocket and saffron infused yoghurt, parmesan chicken goujons, and the Jerk wooden fired prawns. Food never disappoints with a quick delivery.

Real pubs seem hard to come by, the moorbrook is unsuspecting but genuine as you like, love the moorbrook for being just that. Sit at the bar, chat with locals and very friendly staff, tuck yourselves away in a cosy corner, or enjoy the covered outdoor area, basic but comfy outdoor seating beer barell tables etc all add to the charm. Ales are superb, cracking Guiness, there's a wood fired pizza oven, great range of pizzas, chips, onion rings, halumi fries all go down well with a pint. Not too far from town, it may not be in a picturesque location but that's probably why it's not been taken over and turned into the usual artisan gastro chain! Really good!

What a fab place. Cosy, traditional pub, but then when you venture outside there is ping-pong, a cosy area, and large comfy sofas to watch sport on the large screen. On the night we visited, there were 3 DJ sets, it had a winter ski holiday/Ibiza vibe. The pizzas were amazing too and were cooked in the outdoor pizza oven. I will definitely be going again.

First time at this popular pub for a mate's birthday. Excellent venue, a mix of traditional old little rooms and an extensive outdoor covered area. I have serious pizza oven envy... And, of course, the main event - the beer. Beautifully kept cask. Although it's the wrong side of Preston for me and I had a little panic when the bus station was closed- yesterday Stagecoach app was telling me that's where I catch my last bus home - I'll certainly be back.

Nice pub, traditional look on the inside which looked well maintained, although this was after a few beers. Friendly staff who clean and tidy regularly. Outside space has been used well to accommodate the covid years. Plenty of superb ales for you to choose from if you love your independent beer companies. Missed out on a pizza from the on site oven by 5 mins, gutted as they looked good.

We visited The Moorbrook last night for the first time and as a young couple this place filled our every need. A great selection of real Ales and some locally brewed Gins all served by a fantastic group of staff who were very friendly and informative. Great local pub with an excellent selection of real ales. George Lee would heartily approve were he still with us. Better yet, they serve probably, Prestons best pizza. This is the most authentic Italian tasting pizza we have ever had. We had it delivered, and it was red hot and beautiful. The garlic bread is to die for too! Our compliments to the chef!

One of the greatest pubs in the North West, possibly the entire world. Amazing selection of cask, keg and bottles and they're not snobby about their ale. Amazing service from knowledgeable staff and always pleasantly busy. Sit either outside or in the snugs, there's always something new to try... and I've not even mentioned the bar snacks or the most sublime pizza this side of Naples or New York City! Posh Ham & Caramelised Pineapple? Tastes as good as it sounds!

Simon the Pizza Man and the rest of the staff are some of the nicest people I've ever come across. 24 hours in Preston by chance and it was like walking into a TV set at how friendly everybody was and interacting with each other. Often the staff are what keep somewhere in good reputation this is no different. Simon keep on the creative path my friend, hope to see you again some day.

I highly recommend this place. (Original) Mega ładne miejsce, przestronne, można zagrać w ping-ponga, jest pieczona pizza z pieca gdzie możesz zobaczyć jak piekarz ją robi, miła obsługa, interesuje się klientem, gdy ci zimno możesz pożyczyć koc I się okryć.
