Reviews of The Orchard craft beer bar

Great place to enjoy the sunshine and catchup.
The Orchard is a small but pleasant pub located in Preston indoor market with a plethora of options in beer and gin.
Simple interiors with innumerable coasters adorned on the walls give this joint a welcoming vibe.
We had an interesting blueberry pastry stout called Muffin else matters and a hazy pale ale called Steady Rolling man.
Refreshing flavours.
The bartender was courteous, helpful and offered us a sample helping us choose our drink.
With no television/screen competing for your attention, this seems like good place to catch up and converse.
Recommended!

Great atmosphere and lovely bar. Wide selection of beers on offer
R. B. J.
Welcoming, knowledgeable staff, lovely outdoor space. Had some epic Sunday afternoons with friends here.
As for summer Saturdays... There is simply no better place in Preston to watch or play an outdoor gig.
Very special place. Must be experienced.
P. K.
Great little bar on the side of the old Victorian Market, a selection of craft beers and ale to be had.
My best mate and I often sit outside and put the the world to rights enjoying a couple of beers.
Well worth a visit.

Excellent quirky venue making use of the Market space outside. A little short on space inside now the cold weather is upon us. The cask ale I had was very acceptable also.
K. H.
Good little bar inside the market. Wide selection of ales and local spirits. But… no chilled champagne! Looks great on the shelf but would be more tasty in my belly. Next time 😉
P. C.
Quality selection of craft beers + 2 ales on hand pump. Situated next to food market. Outside seating + covered area for poor weather. Live bands on certain Saturdays.
L. P.
Great little ale house. There was a wide selection of beers and spirits. They also had live music on the night we visited ☺️
C. E.
Such a little gem of a place, great selection of ciders and beers, and super friendly and helpful staff who make the experience a great time.
K. Q.
The only dedicated Craft beer bar in Preston. Really good selection of Ales, fantastic staff and a great atmosphere 👍👌
A. G. V.
Lovely cosy craft beer bar, gentleman behind the bar who served me was a delight to speak to. I had a crackin’ pilsner while I was there.
We need more places like this in the world.

Another cracking addition to the pubs in Preston.Sister pub to the Guild Ale House round the corner. The beer range is very good also and bar staff are too, good conversation and a fab selection of music, not to loud.Spirits sold here,so a choice for beer lovers or not.Great place for people watching too.
J. G.
One of best bar in Preston good range of ale and lager friendly bar staff recommend highly
A. W.
Great little bar. Excellent well kept cask ales. Friendly staff good gin selection. Rose loves the salted caramel flavour. Ideal stop off if going to Preston Market
A. H.
Love the Orchard. So much choice of craft beers and ales. Great atmosphere. If you're into alternative beers, this is the place for you.
M. P.
Payed a visit to the Orchard at lunch today, the gentleman that served us took time to find our tastes and offered a couple of samples of beers that he thought best suited my palate. The beers were spot on, service was great. Great place to sit and watch the world go by with an unfiltered session ale 😋

Based in Preston Market, this small establishment serves a large range of craft beers and ales. The staff are friendly and in current circumstances (covid) they will take your order and deliver to your table. Good knowledge of what beers they have on tap from the staff. Might be a little cold in the winter with the market having no heating. Will have to wait and see.
L. A.
Lovely place and interesting beer selection! Recomended!
R. G.
Great little bar in the market, nice man behind the counter that was very knowledgeable and there was a great choice of beers, cider and gins.
R. B.
Great. Market stall bar. Busy Saturday afternoon. Really good pint of Brewsmith, Oatmeal Pale. We'll worth a look in.
M. T.
Superb micro bar, with a stunning selection of pilsners, IPAs, Ales and Stouts. Definatly worth a visit.

A really great place to visit in preston. The staff are really great. The bar is very small and can accommodate about 20 people, there is outside seating, alright for the summer days.
The flooring is slanted as it's built under the old Preston market canopy.the beer prices are very reasonable under a fiver or less.
I would give it five stars as when the market closes you have to put a code in to access the toilets. Other than that a great micro bar.
T. P.
Great selection of beers and spirits as well as having friendly staff, cute little bar around the back of the market well worth a visit.
d. b.
Went to see a rock band in this relatively new venue (under cover in old market. This new bar sells great craft beers at reasonable prices and the staff are very friendly welcoming and helpful. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others of all age groups
O. M.
Nice cozy ale place with some good music
S. F.
Nice little bar, in keeping with the modern style of bar in the UK, the style which will eventually sweep away the older "traditional" type of pub. So much has been spoken about smoking ban hitting traditional pubs, in reality I believe it's that younger (and some older) people really don't want that style of bar any more and are willing to pay a little bit more for an interesting experience in place of same old-same old.
D. D.
Great place for a pint in warm weather
D. T.
Smashing little bar, smaller selection of ales than it's sister bar (the guild ale house) but nice selection of gins rums etc...so smashing if you've got the missus tagging along.
m. b.
Great selection of quality craft ales.
A. T.
Great little beer outlet on the edge of the covered market in Preston. Good selection of real and craft ales available.
m. e.
Good range of beer, great staff be nice if the outside space in the market could be used fir local bands
S. R.
Good selection of craft beers, friendly atmosphere
C. W.
Only small inside, but plenty of seating outside.
Last visit of the night before the group went separate ways to home; great bar, lovely staff, very knowledgeable, interesting selection of drinks; beers and gin from across the globe.
Worth a look in. 👌😁

Long awaited, first craft micro bar to Preston City Centre from owners of Guild Ale House. Great set up and good use of small footprint-cosy, well designed bar.
Toilets are seperate and shared with new market facilities which is slightly disappointing- requires access code- though still clean so hope they keep that way!
Amazing beer selection including offerings from Tiny Rebel, Lervig & Cloudwater!
Great addition to Preston bars and 2 new to come very soon!
V. R.
Great little bar, great live music 🎵 great staff
F. 1.
Great bar in Preston Market. Food shopping and then a lovely beer to round off the trip. Beats a trip to the supermarket.
P. H.
Great choice of real ales, served by professional staff willing to give advice on the beer 🍻 of your choice. A must for beer lovers
M. 9.
Quite a nice bar. Though it is basically a shed, it fits nicely into the revamped market area. The size of it kind of forces you to talk to people so possibly not one for the introverts.
M. W.
Good selection of beers. Nice place for a sit and drink if in centre of town.
m. c.
This is a great bar, full of great beer. The menu changes often enough to keep it really interesting. Possibly my favourite bar in Preston.

A great addition to the Preston ale scene. A good selection of keg taps and two cask taps, fully heated and now part of my personal all PR1 pub crawl!

C. S.
Great beers, reasonable Prices, nice clientele and a really nice vibe about the place. Only thing wrong with this place is that we can't move it to St Anne's!!!
