T.It's a good upstairs with snooker, pool and table tennis. But the beer is expensive, especially the Guinness. Not to mention they didn't even bother to have the barrel filled when I asked, even though they had seven nations signs everywhere with Guinness on them.

J. B.Recently visited Roper Hall for the bottomless brunch and I wasn't disappointed! Very good value for money, £20 got me a breakfast and all the booze I could drink in 90 minutes (had 10+ glasses of prosecco). The staff are friendly, especially Phil, Ben and Corky (I think they need a raise). Only negative was that my breakfast was missing beans, but the bar man was more than happy to go and get some from the kitchen when I pointed it out. Would highly recommended Roper Halls bottomless brunch deal! Good food and good value for money, friendly staff 10/10

S. H.Visited Roper Hall last night. Had a few drinks with friends and ordered some Angry Chicken Wings. They were cooked nicely and tasted great, although they weren’t very angry....more slightly ticked off 😄
We just put more hot sauce on and they were much better!
I’d recommend visiting if you’re in the area. They have some great beers on tap if you’re into trying something different.

J. A.visited this venue on Friday night for a friends hen - the host was very welcoming and got us seated together (on seperate tables following COVID) - which previous places could not do.
The female waitress who first came over to take our order seemed very stressed like we were an inconvenience, however the male waiter who took our orders and made our drinks was great! Constantly coming over and making sure we were okay for drinks and making us feel very welcome.

The chef Kristen masks great food, and Beth and Jamie at the bar are friendly too:) it's been my favourite place for 4 years in uni here and it's still a place I would choose to hang out with my friends still

L. J.Popped in today to relive my uni days and the new menu had just been rolled out, I ordered the Smashed Avo Crumpets and found them to be quite delicious! The staff are all lovely, especially Ian.... I think that was his name. Will be calling back again for sure.

R. S.Comfortable and friendly watering hole providing a wide selection of draught real ales and lagers. Numerous and varied events throughout the year - music etc. - plus weekly activities. We didn't sample the food (because there is so much great competition nearby) but the menu offers a fair range of regular favourites, burgers, ribs and the like. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

I was a bit disappointed when I was told they were out of beef patties but enjoyed the chicken sandwich I picked instead. Great drink selection and the bonus card where you can accumulate points is a nice touch.

B.Food was pretty good but 3 stars because there's no baby change facility. Had to change my 3 month old on the toilet floor. Might be advertised towards students but it's still open to general public and should have the facilities to match. Not even sure there was a disabled toilet, if there is a disabled toilet then there should be a baby change in there. Not happy with this at all would have gone to eat somewhere else if we hadn't already ordered food.
R. G. (. E.A big group of us went in for vegan food.we all got to sit together on a big table. It was a really nice venue. Relaxing, clean and homely. Staff were fab and helpful and the food came out super quick. There were lots of vegan options like hot dog, cauliflower wings, curries, burgers and more. My hot dog was delicious. I will be back.

Food is amazing, cocktails are amazing.
Only major down sides are that the disabled toilet is currently in a bit of a mess and the room needs a few things fixing, and that the disabled toilet room it’s self is too small for a wheelchair & person to get in and out of the wheelchair safely.
Also if someone opens the main door while someone is upstairs in a wheelchair - they struggle to get out as the main door blocks the lift door, meaning you’ll end up locked in if you’re on your own.
Oh. And the pool tables are slightly uneven.

John was very efficient and very clued up on the menu of both drinks and food and left me with no questions or queries, He even had a few recommendations wich didn't go a miss. However Kirsten the chef was absolutely outstanding, my food was incredible and she was very consistent through the courses I had eaten. 1000/10 would go again!

R. 7.Roper hall is an ideal spot for a quick pub lunch, or to play a game of pool. Popular with students in the evening so quite busy, but through the day it’s generally relaxed and chilled out
R. A.The staff are always friendly and up for a chat, adding to the already chill atmosphere. The rotating cider and beers if great if you like experimenting with alcohol (the Lily's Cider is to die for). The quiz is lengthy but great fun, and the food is yet to fail me or my friends.

A. A.I went there recently and order the chicken salad and some wine. The food was really good and they have excellent offers! They've changed the manager recently and they have upgrade their menus and the quality of their service. The bar staff was really friendly and helpful and the toilets were clean.
Y.I went do an event for Uni. At the start there was only 1 male staff, who seemed very confused of the location of the beer glasses and the types of drinks they offered. Luckily another staff came in who looked reluctant to be there but was very knowledgeable behind the counter.
B. H.Quite an eccentric pub with a character all of its own . Good food at reasonable price that come with drink offers plus has a point collection scheme with a MORE card where you warm pounds for points towards another drink or meal. TV not so intrusive as other bars and thr muzak is good

Upstairs area with the dark room for uclans film society and a 2 bar areas. Games room with a few pool tables and arcade machines aswell as a huge projector for live sports. T.The pub has grown increasingly unpopular in recent years. The prices have increased due to new renovation work and the staff choose who they want in depending on who they like
T.Decent guest beers, always have guiness as a fallback.
Keep an eye out for food deals early in the week. Good way to get by as a student.
D. M.Though i like Roper Hall, i dont think it is as good since they renovated it. They have made it feel a little posh, were i quite liked the charming down to earth feel that it had. Also removing the pool table to me is a holy sin. All pubs by law should have a pool table. If only i was in charge, life would feel like paradise. The pool table they did have was awful though, the ball just kept going once you had taken your shot. It was like the laws of physics did not apply, Einstein would of been left scratching his head. Still a great place though to chill and get a drink.

C. H.Good food, and a good selection of drinks. There were interesting items on the menu, and it was all really well presented, though the portion sizes were a tad too big for me.
S.Food a bit expensive for what it is and £4.60 is a bit pricey for a Birra Moretti, would rather they’d have kept Estrella on draught as it was one of the only places in Preston to serve it on draught they do still sell it however! Quiz is a laugh though and worth the £1 entry per person, never had a bad experience here! Love roper!
P. C.Great bar, good range of drinks including draught beers. Staff are few but efficient. Lots of entertainment here. Games room very popular.

Z. H. (.Went to a DNB night (Jumping Jack Frost) had a really good time apart from a couple of people pushing, I cone here during day too and its a nice relaxed atmosphere prices are reasonable. You mostly get students in herw.
A. C.Great pub, but what seriously let's the place down is the stench in the gents toilet. There is some form of ducting in the toilets but it appears never to be on. Hold your breath whilst you go in there.
A. W.Used to be great but was bought out and they hiked the prices right up. Big projector upstairs for watching the football, just be prepared to pay £4+ for a beer (IN PRESTON)!
C. S.Only been on nights out so no idea about the food. Usually a good place for "alternative" people. The usual trouble can occur when you have a load of drunk people together. Prices are reasonable for the location.

A. M.They've got wifi and a pokestop. That's good enough for most, but drinks are a bit pricey for a student bar. Don't forget to get a points card.
A. P.What a surprise, the best vegan breakfast in Preston, enjoyed the atmosphere 2pm and fairly quiet, nice place to sit, easy and chill and very reasonable pricing
