We really enjoyed our rendezvous at the Stag's Head last Friday evening. Our food was delicious and the service was excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Our table was ready for us when we arrived, a table for four by a window at the front of the building. It's a few years since we last visited this place and each of us agreed it was a great choice. Thank you to all concerned 👍🏻

Beef like sandwich beef, cabbage tough, Yorkshire pudding perfect and so were carrots, roasted potatoes were fine. Asked for more gravy, staff member was happy to help. Nice place and staff lovely, food ok. Good for one off!

Fantastic play area. We could sit back after our meal and relax whilst the children played safely. The food was good and the staff attentive. The manager came over to check we were happy with everything. We had ages in our party ranging 80's, 60's 30's and children and we all enjoyed it

This was close to 3 stars but the food was good so it scrapes a 4. Let’s start with the good stuff. Like I say food is good. A tad on the expensive side but not too much. The surroundings and general ambiance was nice too. What let’s this place down is the service. It’s not great. Full of young people who have no or little interpersonal skills. We spent £70 on a starter to share, a main course each a bottle of wine plus two alcoholic drinks and not once did anyone ask us did we enjoy our food. Not during nor after. It has the feeling the staff are either under trained or don’t care. Shame as it deserves better. Had the service been good we would definitely be back but as it stands we wouldn’t.

Wonderfull sceneery in a beautiful location. Never been here before missus asked to stop we did and the staff were marvellous best service in years i did 13 years in food and catering industry travelled the country and never seen so many smiles and greeting the environment in here for out standing and when im in goosnargh again i will come and visit....... Cheesebacon loaded fries went down well ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The cheddar and chutney Well presented and styled ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I would like to thank the staff and crew for a great Easter Sunday lunch for all our family. Brilliant. Universally delighted. The staff are welcoming, make eye contact, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They smile. Good pub food and we had a really nice 'private' room to enjoy our family get together. And - welcome packs for the little ones plus Easter surprise packs later. A decent field and play park. No wonder the car park was bursting. The atmosphere both inside and out was amiable and laid back. Also, draught non alcoholic beer is a super offering. Yes, we will come again - especially as you can cope seamlessly with our little horrors!!!!

Food was good but portions far too big. Not everyone wants to be over faced with enormous meals. Pub not very clean and was disgusted to see dogs sitting on chairs being fed by owners. I for dont want to sit on pet hairs or smell wet dogs while eating. Very healthy.
