Reviews of The Twelve Tellers - JD Wetherspoon
R. J.
Big shout to the female Manager on New Years day who went above and beyond her duties by proving a safe space, care and kindness to a woman who'd been attacked and wandered in the pub in an incoherent fashion.
The ambulance response time was 4 hours. 999 explained that they were currently only attend 'not breathing' cases due demand to and the police said they had a guy in custody but couldn't impact the pick up time for the ambulance!
She ensured the ladies safety, dignity and wellbeing for about 2 hours before she was transported to the hospital in a taxi by concerned patrons.
In a world where you can no longer get a ambulance for 4 hours after being assaulted, sat in your own excrement whilst being told not to wash by the medical team on the phone, we can only hope that there's other people like this lady, willing to go the extra mile when the services there to protect us are letting us down.
Well done
D. C.
Reasonable wheelchair access once inside but you will need to ring 5mins in advance and they will put out the ramp as there's a couple of steps at the entrance.
Good place for a coffee, £1.98 bought us 2 coffees with unlimited refills during the day. It wasn't the best coffee but certainly wasn't the worst I've tasted. It all comes from a self serve machine with a good selection including decaf.
J. A.
Been there twice in 2 days, the first time was on a Saturday afternoon and it was a match day in the place absolutely boned but the service was really good even using the
The second time was on a Sunday night and we ordered some food from the three starters for 12 quid menu. Unfortunately the app crashed and I had to redo my order and I didn't realise that I only ordered one portion of chicken wings, when it arrived the girl was really really unhelpful and said all that we could do was order another portion and would miss out on the offer.
Thankfully the duty manageress was much more helpful and resolved the issue very quickly
Big airy bar, which doesn't suffer from echo
G. “.
Lively pub as you would expect...caters for everyone...except those needing to go to the loo urgently. Not sign posted very well. I made it just in time..lol...but another 30 secs would hv been a disaster. Still would recommend for a good night out and a bit of food.
d. h.
Great place for Sunday breakfast. Space well managed, covid etc. We have family a g m some way to catch up with our boys and sometimes grand children. Food always good. Coffee top up makes it even better value.
G. R.
Food lovely. It was quiet, there was a lot of tables uncleared think we just missed the rush. Ordered via the app food arrived in about 15 minutes, drinks however arrived 25 minutes after ordering not ideal. Also seen as they don't have straws/stirrers it would be great if they could mix the cocktail before it arrives.
R. D.
Had a lovely meal at this establishment, me and my family came for our anniversary dinner, met a lovely bartender, quite nice for a family outing, would visit again.
K. T.
Huge witherspoon pub, really great layout, one of the best I've been to! Great range of cask ales, good fare at good prices. Usual well trained, efficient, pleasant staff. Visited several times, definitely recommend!
J. E.
This spoons has a great overall atmosphere and the food is a lot better than the grey frier (the other local spoons). Service can be slow when busy or on the weekend but what more can you expect. Good size beer garden too, only rated 4/5 because like most spoons, the toilets are usually a bit grim.
A. J.
Your standard Spoons, average food at cheap prices. The building itself was an old bank and some of the smaller areas mean you're sat in an old safe, other than that it's a spoons. At weekends the seating areas are removed and a dance floor is made, which is usually a sign for us to leave!
Shame the owner is one terrible human.
L. W.
We didn't catch her name but we were served most of the night by the same lady who was super lovely and friendly, she was working when we arrived at 6 and still on shift when we came back later that night, if you could pass this on to the blonde lady with glasses working tonight that would be great , thanks again (:
M. W.
Very nice inside the toilets are hard to find even by 'spoons standards.
A noteworthy point is that I saw a notice that of you feel threatened outside your welcome to sit in the pub without buying a drink.
R. O.
My drink arrived quickly and my sirloin came shortly after but the mushroom and onion rings were missing from my plate. After eventually finding a member of staff I mentioned that these were missing but they didn't arrive until after I had finished my meal. Also, disappointed that there was no English mustard sachets.
S. B.
Staff was amazing, I had got myself stranded in Preston need to get back to Southport, she ordered my a taxi to get home on her own phone.
C. D.
Nice venue. Our food arrived barely warm ... after the server apologised for the delay we assumed we had waited for the food to be prepared ... Clearly not the case, the food had been left sitting around. My partner had only ten chips on his plate, my portion was more than twice that size. We asked to speak to someone, who said they would ask the manager what to do! No apology was proffered by management for the state of the food. It was finally replaced with a fresh mall which was ok, but by that time we were frustrated. A disappointing visit on this occasion, although a couple a years ago, pre pandemic, we enjoyed our meals here. Hopefully things will improve.
A. W.
Lovely lunch time pub, if you want a quick meal, can get very busy, with most meals you can get a compliment drink, but if you bye a drink you might get a free refill, just depending on what you order.
R. L.
Non alcoholic choices are a winner when I have to drive home
S. M.
Terrible food service from a server who was as enthusiastic as a dying goldfish. Items forgotten to be brought out. No indication of condiments location, had to ask at the bar, another customer assisted.
Table next to me also had to repeatedly ask about when their drinks would arrive.
At least the food was hot upon arrival.
D. N.
Just a proper solid spoons, got some proper nice interior design and some decent drinks. Food here is also proper, so it's a great place for a cheeky lunch and pint :)
D. W.
Brilliant place nice food for a typical weatherspoons stop off, lovely staff very helpful lots of places to sit also there's an outside seating area which is great, plenty of slot so 4 stars on too many gambling machines inside other than that nice place
J. R.
Good food although chips were a bit dry. Nice burger and onion rings. Price is perfect.
S. “. W.
Food OK but it's what you pay for perfect for lining your tummy before going on the ale! Massive pub, lots of seating & always a good service
M. C.
Lovely building, and an open fire too. Absolutely the best value anywhere on the High Street. Champions of the everyday!
P. K.
Good Wetherspoons prices, but sometimes slow 🐌 with food and last time food was only just warm - definitely NOT HOT.
M. R.
Usual standards you expect but sticky wooden floors need a good going over with a steam mop, tables similarly sticky, but clean looking at least. Service was quick, didn't wait long for our food after ordering.
B. J.
Very busy but served quickly. Had the small mixed grill very nice too.
C. D.
Very nice Chris one of the bar managers is awesome. Very helpful, polite and sorts problems out using his initiative. Having owned pubs for many years myself, I would fully recommend him for promotion and would put forward this pub as one of the best pubs to go in Preston.
S.
Not bad food not the best quality but ok. Service was quick to say it was sat afternoon and busy.
t. a.
Proper pub atmosphere wonderful staff and a open coal fire
M. R.
Yet another incredibly beautiful and interesting Weatherspoons pub. I admire this company so much for saving these old buildings and then making them a successful business. That is my only complaint. This was another Spoons that was very busy, and needed a bit of housekeeping. But, yet again, amazing toilets.
A. C.
Great value for money and very spacious too. Seemed to be very clean and tidy, will be visiting again.
C. D.
The drinks are always great, the food is really nice, everything is, pretty cheap 🍲👌
O. C.
Lovely friendly staff, good roasted veg portion, well kept ale ... 6th visit ... 👍
M. S. C.
This is a large venue in a repurposed bank. The décor and general visual appearance are very appealing. Tall ceilings and a number of original features from the buildings past life, has create a novel venue and a great place for a special event/party celebration. This establishments staff were courteous and timely, in regards to table service. I would recommend this pub to all, it has everything from large open spaces for large parties and smaller areas for more intermit meetings. This is definitely one of Preston's highlights and a must if you want a quick meal or night out or just a quick pint and a chat.
A. H.
Good pub, lots of space, never enough bar staff serving. Quite a wait
D. T. (.
Couldn't fault this place. Got a banquette by the window with power sockets including USB, used app twice for food and drinks which were served promptly (the food itself was bland but that's standard issue at Spoons). Toilets clean, beer garden looked nice. Great job!
S. Y.
Great food and service and a relly fantastic price. Perfect place to catch up with family
B. H.
Nice quiet pub but gets The Party Stared At The Weekend. Good Vibes. 🎄🥳🍻
K. G.
Typical wetherspoons. Food was fine. Drinks service a bit slow. Lovely log fire
G. M.
Shared my 1st afternoon with my new Mrs watching errrrr football of all things but she like this stuff so went along with it , was worth it just to spend the time with her xx
P. C.
Beer festival on & a cracking selection available. Good service on this busy Saturday & beer quality spot on.
M. J.
One of the better and distinctive Spoon restaurant Id visited. Food and service were good.
M. D.
Good breakfast at realistic prices. Nice friendly staff.
B. S.
Called in for a breakfast. Hard to beat the 99p coffee with free refills and the breakfast is great for the price. It's an old bank, some features retained, and they've kept the plastic screens with plenty of separation from the Covid days.
S. H.
Table service was polite, friendly, prompt, and timely. A lovely atmosphere for a Saturday afternoon.
No checks on how is your food...which personally I'm thankful of...I just want to eat and drink and not be bombarded with questions...so was fabulous as always
A. S.
Another in the series of pubs in interesting buildings. Very spacious and not on the major footfall area.
G.
Wetherspoons, the perfect start to a night on the town, as with all Wetherspoons food and drink is pretty cheap but is still top quality.
This place has a great atmosphere and ample space, friendly staff and is super easy to get to as its in the middle of town and on the high street not hidden away down a side alley.
If you're out in Preston this is a brilliant place to have a breather or a great place to kick off the evening with mates.
P. S.
Me and my partner had a cold full English breakfast again... Its a joke.... Not happy with the service... AGAIN.
P. C.
We had to wait ages for someone to come to us as the app menu was not working and it was table service only and when food arrived it was more basic than basic. Steak was cooked nicely but was just steak and chips, no veg, garnish, salad etc. But it tasted okay.
J. R.
Just had a drive thru burger & chips and drink for £7-75...which represents good value burger was tasty ...cant complain better than a big mac & loads of gerkin too
M. D.
Food was extremely tasty, and was quick once we'd ordered.
K. H.
Standard Wetherspoon drinks and food selection and prices. Wasn't the best if you're wanting a club feel as there wasn't any music when we went but it was great if you're just looking to chat and have drinks with a group of friends.
C. T.
Very pleased with our visit today, the staff are friendly and helpful and it was very clean. Food was lovely
S. H.
Only had a coffee, or was it three. Good flavoured stuff.....Real Italian coffee.... Lavazza.
D. A.
Well spaced out under the restrictions. Fairly fast service. Advised not to use the app to order. It is easier for ordering but takes too long to be served using this
C. M.
Great choice of beers at a very reasonable price
J. C.
Food tasted great beer nice and cold. Menu is not as good as it was.
C. J.
This is a Weatherspoons, you know what your getting. Certainly one of the nicer ones and worth a visit.
S. R.
It's a Wetherspoons. Cheap beer and food and always busy.
I. A.
All the usual Weatherspoons choices set in one of the best buildings in Preston.
S. B.
Good range of drinks, nice and busy on a Friday night.
W. A. a. H. C.
Another superb wetherspoons pub, with beautiful interior finishes and intriguing vaulted restrooms. As always, superb quality beers at amazing prices. Highly recommended 🍻👍
A. B.
Enjoy the good food, not expensive. And good staff
B. L.
Not crowded. Small brunch good. Staff pleasant.
M. M.
Great spoons, service was quick and staff were friendly too. They had plenty of vegan/ vegatarian options for myself and my partner which was brilliant :)
E. 1.
Was ok, food looked like it was slapped together hastily- had to send it back because the sauce was missing. Better for cheaper drinks rather than food
G. M.
A welcome refuge on a miserable day, food hot and quickly served at a reasonable price.
J. T.
Quite busy inside but quiet out back. Fast table service ordering on the app and good prices
A. R.
Good atmosphere for both as a bar and club.
Food needs to be little more better.
b. h.
Friendly safe atmosphere. Cheap drinks.
J. T.
Impressed how they arranged flexible seating into cosy units considering how large this place is. Nice atmosphere. Good selection of pub food and selection of beverages, cocktails, ales and wines all reasonably priced. Small portions if desired. Timely service by welcoming and friendly staff. Did not use their app to order and pay on, but may do so next time I visit. Loos down steep stairs, so ring ahead to check if accessibility may be an issue. Can definitely recommend.
J. W.
Lots of space and seating area's including a big outdoor space. Friendly efficient staff, food was excellent and good value.Well worth a visit if your in Preston!!!
V. N.
Today brilliant. 12Tellers. Good service, smiling staff. Last week took 20 minutes to serve my granddaughter and me. Kept asking same girl, I'll be a minute, then at last minute started clearing glasses. So I shouted out loud are we going to get served or not. Think it was the Manageress who then served us, she was very professional. Sometimes just one member of staff can let you down. I go in lots of different Wetherspoons they are brilliant. I don't drink but find of all pubs yours is family orientated, as well as being a drinkers pub. The one place I can go for a meal or just a coffee read my paper and feel comfortable. We'll done. Wetherspoons.
💕
L. M.
Wow, busy, full of youth having fun. Very pleasant experience.
d. d.
Food a little under par the drink wasn't very good
O. V.
Good customer service, nicedance floor, fun crowd
R. B.
Wetherspoons , always up to standard, ham eggs and chip's my favourite.
R. M.
It was nothing special just like any other pub
Z. B.
The last time I visited this establishment was before Lockdown and was a pleasant experience, however today was a big disappointment, the poor staff were running around like headless chickens, there was no one at the entrance to seat people, when my husband's food arrived the plate was burning hot, but the food was stone cold! Brandon was our server and was very polite and very friendly, he did all he could for us but he was a bit stressed with the situation. Hopefully after Covid 19 has gone then service will be a bit better.
L. G.
Great spoons, very stylish interior for a spoons. Food is standard affair but enjoyable and great value as are drinks - you know what you’re getting when you come here. Staff are friendly and efficient especially given how busy it gets. I was struggling on my crutch today after ordering a couple of cocktails, so the young lad behind the bar offered to bring them over to the table for me and was very accommodating!
k. 2.
Fast service, polite staff and good value food
D. E.
Brilliant place. We went there last night for my fellas 21st and his mates 22nd. Played really good songs and the price for drinks was decent. The only negative I have to say is the wait for a drink. We were stood at the little bar when you walk in and if you carry on there is a bigger bar and everyone was being served there so it took us like 15 minutes to be served but we didn't mind as the music was good
F. K.
Food is nice but the cluttery looks 1000 years old !
m. p. (. T. A.
Nice quiet pub during the day and a great party bar during the night, with the classic cheap spoons prices all day long. The building keeps to the design of the bank well and provides some awesome places for big crowds and small parties equally.
M. S.
I was pleasantly surprised here, they were sensible with the covid checks, sensible time to wait for food, beer as always good and looked after. The only grumble was our kiddies food came after ours, a good while after which is a big nono. Well done though wetherspoons for making a visit to the pub sensibly normal.
F.
Building is absolutely stunning, was really busy and loud. Took us a while to find a free table and ordered from the app. Food took around 40-50 minutes to arrive and didn't get the drinks for at least another 10 minutes after that. Would defiantly go back, hope it won't be as busy next time
A. F.
A good value modern Wetherspoons Pub with tasteful decoration in keeping with the buildings former use as a bank. The large dining area is changed into a dance and DJ zone when food is finished serving. The building suffers from poor acoustics which is very noticeable when the pub gets full and you need to shout to be heard. The toilets are in the basement with a single staircase which can get a little congested but don't let this put you off trying a very popular pub
P. S.
Just had breakfast here was up to the usual wetherspoon standard
G. K.
The drinks are really good but I don't see the reason we can't wait in The main room. They tell you to go outside but then you go outside and they tell you to sit down. Which one is it
N. J.
Great gin selection, reasonably priced. Brilliant to see a beautiful building that had been stood empty for so long being well used. I love the original features that have been left. Only downside is the toilets being downstairs!
J. M.
Busy but service to the table was perfect.
J. B.
Great location, good value food and drink as always from 'spoons.
M. W.
It was OK, but, being quite central in Preston made it quite an attraction for the odd one or two wide boys. A bit too open for my liking, and quite bright too. It looked the type of establishment where a brawl could break out any time. Made a bit more suspicious by the presence of quite a few police officers paying a visit.
G. H.
Went Saturday around 5:30pm. It wasn't overly busy however the bar staff were not particularly expedient or observant and I was ignored several times while waiting at the bar. It took 12 minutes to get served and we were on the verge of leaving. Perhaps more robust training of staff would help?! We won't be going again for a while.
C. C.
Great table service from the app when you order
R. G.
How many Whetherspoons turn into a mini club? Didn't get any food but we were still able to order drinks with their table service! Good music too.
K. R.
Good service and drinks but not the freshest food. My partners chicken burger was really tough and dry. Overcooked. My gammon was very grey and the chips on both were also overfried and tasted horrid. I ate as I was hungry. But friendly staff non the less.
J. C.
Very busy at night time. However the huge bar and plenty of staff ensure that people are served quickly. They have a good range of beers, spirits and soft drinks. A big dance floor, a good outside area and lots of tables and seats for those wanting a quieter drink.
M. P.
Busy when we went in at around 5pm on a Friday but the staff serve you very quickly. Brilliant atmosphere and a fantastic selection of beers and spirits. Decent beer garden at the rear of the pub also.
A. H.
It’s an OK place best thing on tap here is Punk IPA - it’s a standard Whetherspoons with the usual menu but you’ll have to fight through Preston City Centre to get here - it’s a decent place to hang out for a bite and a brew but not if you are serious pursuer of Craft beer.
J. D.
Very busy lunchtime on a Saturday, especially with a football match in the afternoon, a few home and away fans starting the jollies early. Seems quite understaffed, tables not cleared of used crockery and glasses and food about 30 mins to arrive after ordering via the app. Standard food and ok quality. It's a Wetherspoons, you know what you'll get
J. S. 7.
Big place, great choice, it just feels a little clinical. The size of the place removes any character and intimacy that great pubs have. This is huge because they want to get it packed solid to sell cheap booze and food. Whilst I appreciate they are in it to make money, the best pubs are about something different... Its about the relationship with the customers
p. d.
Like any wetherspoons, cheap prices for drinks and food. Outdoor seating area. Handy for a quick drink after work or a quick snack when out shopping. Can be long waits for food and service if busy
n. r.
Average Service , I have been a visitor here for quite a while. It's close to work and ideal for after work gatherings. The service is ofter poor which lets it down.
Very popular with football away fans as this is one of the only local pubs that allows them in. It is around a 10 minute walk from the Preston north end football ground.
G. J.
In context of what you pay for it is great value. Using the Wetherspoon app makes it so simple to order food and drinks without leaving children unattended. Great family venue where grown ups can have a decent meal with a drink and kids welcomed.
N. W.
Good pub to starts your night
M. J.
This place is absolutely massive as it used to be a large bank. It is a great place to meet up in the heart of Preston. There is a large beer garden to the rear of the building with extra seating, an outdoor bar and a smoking area. There is a large drinks selection and your standard weatherspoons food menu. Inside are ample seating areas one of which turns into a dance floor at night. Well worth a visit
K. R.
A very nice building with high but magnificent ceilings and wood panelling on the walls, the bar area has a nice skylight which makes the room bright and comfortable and there is an outdoor area at the rear. On a busy football Saturday the service was good and the food and drinks were up to standard.
B. D.
This spoons is very big, with plenty of tables to choose from and your standard spoons menu. The bar is large so you don't wait too long for orders, and there is a dance floor and dj on a night which can attract a large number of dancers! Toilets are downstairs so if you're in high heels take it steady, but they are reasonably clean loos,
P. D. (.
One of the most beautiful spoons, an old bank . The food is fine, the tsvjr service is excellent.
Nothing was too much trouble.
A great place, during the day or early evening. It gets extremely busy after 9 especially at weekends
D. B.
Good food, great prices.
T.
Lovely weather spoons pub to go to. Very open and lots of places to sit. The seating area turns into a dance floor later on in the evenings after food has stopped serving. Great atmosphere and good food
P. G.
What can u say about Tellers Preston?? The staff are lovely, the food is to the point, straight forward nothing fancy....but the beers are 5 star. Well past the boring run-of-the-mill Carlsberg, Fosters or Stella...the decor, granted, is a little dated (hence 4 not 5 star)...but a homely, comfortable place to snack & chat. Not a place for a romantic evening. But ideal for a catch up, chat and casual!!
D. M.
Twelve Tellers is pretty good if you're looking for a not too expensive place to eat in the daytime. They have plenty to choose from on the menu and the drinks and food are mostly fine. If you had a problem with your food the staff would definitely replace for you.
A. G.
Great food for the price. Table service is a huge bonus as the bar can be far too busy to even get to when you're on your own. But the staff were really accommodating
D. M.
Great pub. Lots of room and socially distancing in place. Security on door
M. K.
Lost my rock in there but decent place
D. W.
There is something about a Witherspoon establishment. The buildings are steeped in history and this one really does not disappoint. Food and drink was excellent as always and fantastic value. The service was spot on and the App just makes it even better.
M. M.
Amazing atmosphere. Prices are great. I dont think anyone in UK you can get such a awesome deal with awesome food and cheap drink. I ordered 60oz burger and it was the best i ever tasted. They have gluten free menu, vegetable menu so you dont need to worry if you are intolerant or allergic to something
G. W. C.
This is a massive bar with a dance floor in one room and more space to stand and sit in the other. Very good bar prices, but it can get extremely busy at the bar..Some of the young girls that they let in on my last visit we're NEVER 18.. They need to start checking ID's before they let these kids in..
D. H.
Good service, decent beers
E. B.
Typical wetherspoons pub which cannot be faulted for being what it is. Reasonable food at reasonable prices and great value drinks. Bit disappointed at the customer service when my friend went to the bar. He waited for his drinks for about five minutes only to be told that one that he had asked for had run out. After closing a replacement point that wasn't his first choice the bar person said "that's another 30p please". Better customer service would have been to apologise for the inconvenience and delay and not to ask for a trifling 30p. I'm pretty sure that wetherspoons could stand that loss.
A. G.
A great selection of drinks and ok no frills food! Whomever designed those stairs to the toilet wants shooting though. Room for 1 person only so you have to wait at the top or bottom.
s. w.
The staff are polite, the food is great always fresh and reasonably priced, the pizzas are excellent.
D. H.
What can you say about a place that serves alcohol to otherwise shy and reserved people - turning them into dancing, overly forward, uninhabited and socially entertaining consumers.
Sure some people may drink to much and say things that they regret (either in the morning when they sober up or when they run into the person they said it to - in the toilet queue) but from what I remember absolutely nobody argued about Brexit... So thank you 'The Twelve Tellers'
S. H.
Great value, great atmosphere. Very mixed vibe and the food ain't bad either. And the really good thing about it is you can actually have a conversation without losing your voice.
M. S.
Only one coffee machine working and that one needs looking at, it nearly smashes the cup when the nozzle descends, only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.
The two entrance doors are constantly being left open when people enter and even on a lovely day like today it's like a wind tunnel.
The breakfast was mediocre at best and the slices of toast have shrunk in size.
M. C.
Great place for a good meal
C. R.
Love the old buildings like these, which if you hadn't guessed by the title, was an old bank. Always a solid meal for what you pay, best nights are Tuesday and Thursday for the Steak nights and Curry nights respectively. Nearly always a busy place but yet they still serve you in decent enough time.
M.
Eaten a few times and never had any complaints. Good selection of Wines, Spirits & Cask Ales. Seating outside with bar area **Be careful with the steep stairs going to the toilets **
S. W.
The drinks were on top form, the staff were great but one complaint I do have is ignorant people banging on the door to the disabled toilet when it's occupied! As if that will speed up a wheelchair ♿ user vacating the toilet. My sister did not find it amusing!!!
R. B. J.
Huge Wetherspoons Drinking Hall... Great meeting place. Bar staff friendly and fast, wide selection of quality beer and food at low prices.
Would be 5 stars if not for the awful security staff.. Over-bearing, obnoxious and generally unhelpful in the event of a problem. (My wife had a handbag stolen)
K. S.
After a fairly off-menu breakfast order, explained one of us was vegan. Food was great, they even knew not to give marg with that breakfast and made up for the missing eggs with hash browns. Kitchen staff knew what to do, 5 stars.
A. H.
Great pub, great atmosphere. The pub is particularly large and outside of COVID times it is home to a dance floor. Some would call it a "pub-club".
I. R.
Very very impressed with wetherspoons new food and drink ordering app and free WiFi - worked like a charm. From phone to mouth in a few easy steps! Wow! Course this does mean people are going to be able to buy rounds without the bother of actually going to the pub...just as long as they have the table number😋
S. B.
Always a great place to come me for food and drink. Is always busy on Saturdays from mid afternoon right through to later on at night. Plenty of choice at great prices.
S. W.
A relatively average Spoons, better location than the Grey Friars Spoons down the road but much louder because its mostly one massive open space. Quieter bit at the back. Neither Spoons is particularly impressive inside but at least at the other one there's windows to stare out of and plenty of light.
W. Q.
Average pub grub all deep fried basically . Fast efficient service but as the member of staff said , it's not busy ,it's usually full with uni students . Good choice of drinks . It's a large place . Busy and friendly staff .
S. C.
It's better than the other Wetherspoons in Preston.
M. B.
Enjoyed a drink with the Grandchildren and having a catchup. Good to feel safe with the restrictions in place.
E. A.
Large premise that is nice inside and out, good for food and drink during the day.
At nights on weekends however the place becomes over crowded and can take a while to get served, this can be worth the wait if you enjoy the atmosphere of the pub though.
A. B.
Great place, great food, great staff. Can be a little busy but that's expected from an establishment such as itself. Overall good experience
J. H.
One of the nicest Whetherspoons I've been to and the food seems higher quality also. They could do with a larger wine selection. Cheap as chips for burgers with an alocholic drink, I believe around £6.99 for burger, chips , onion rings and a drink!
S. W.
It's a wetherspoons, so you know exactly what to expect. The service was excellent, the food was alright, the prices are as expected, it's clean, and it has an app you can order and pay with from your seat, although we didn't try that. The building is very nice, the decor is a bit nicer than others we've been in, although it got quite noisy when it busied up, just sheer numbers of people all speaking at once and as it's open plan, there's nothing to block the noise, not an easy fix, but otherwise, nice, cheap lunch with good customer service.
S. C.
Pleasant staff and cheap beer, but too big to have any atmosphere. At least it doesn't seem to suffer from the plague of hardened alcoholics that seem to be the trademark of so many Wetherspoons.
R.
I mean it's a weathspoons, so it's absolutely fine but not remarkable in any way. The menu is... Fine. The staff are great, very helpful so I have zero complaints there. Food was nice, slightly overcooked fish but no biggie.
K. W.
Had a lovely late dinner with my partner in Twelve Tellers Yesterday (Sunday the 14th)
The food was delicious and One staff member that really shined was Olivia. Friendly, chirpy, probably on a really long shift but was ever so polite.
It can be aggravating when people order food so close to closing the kitchen, I work in hospitality too, but the service was amazing and she was really patient. It’s nice to not be rushed and feel welcomed No matter what time of day. I like to know when I’ve done a good job and be acknowledged for it, so I hope she is acknowledged for being great at her job. Thank you. You go Olivia! 💃🏻😁⭐️🌟⭐️
P. H.
Called in twice today. Quite busy because it was a graduation day at the local university. Order was quick at the bar and delivered within 10 minutes on both occasions. Very impressed.
g. w.
I use this pub on a regular basis. The main problem here is the staff, not all of them but most. They do not watch the bar properly, this results in waiting ages to be served while they mess about with coffee and food. I have walked out before today after waiting ages to be served. Why not do the sensible thing and split the bar, food one side, booze the other, its not difficult weather spoons. Most of the bar staff are pleasant enough but some seem to be chewing wasps all their shift. Another rant, you advertise Magners on offer for a short period along with other beers. Thing is you have not had any Magners on draft for at least 4 days, this is completely defeating your advertising policies. So you pay twenty pence extra for a bottle. Your fault not the customer, you should sell the bottles for the same price as you advertise, if its not available on draft. Come on management, get a grip of this Pub.
M. C.
It's a huge space. It's a spoons so you know what to expect.
A. P.
A very large pub that seems popular with students, the usual menu and drinks.
We ordered breakfast which two staff and three changes to get it right, not sure what they would do if busy.
V. T.
Ordered baked pot and chilli it came dried up with chilli burnt. Sent it back and it was returned cooked and looked good. Enjoyed it then. It is a shame that it wasnt good 1st time as first impressions count.
R. M.
One of the nicest Wetherspoon's l have been in. Used to be a bank and has impressive architecture. Staff are attentive and has good pub grub with quick service. Spotless toilets too!
C. M.
Not a bad place to eat at all food is good.
a. t.
Good pint of San Miguel, quick service
K. S.
Stunning building put to good use rather than sitting dissuaded. Very busy pub. Usual offering from wetherspoon but worth the visit to see the building
M. H.
Tastefully transformed from Edwardian Bank to a large pub, good atmosphere, large selection of cask ales and nice food, both at very reasonable prices. Unusually for this pub chain, there is an area that is changed from dining to dancing later in the evening on some nights of the week.
M. G.
Top place! Good atmosphere during the day and night. Nice staff. Door men let this place down think they are all 10 men don't want to listen and hostile. Would be 5 star but door men let it down
P.
Really nice wetherspoons. In the middle of Preston. Breakfast menu worth trying with coffee top ups FOC was a bank and any of the old features are still there. Really lovely building
N. H.
Very spacious indoors and a nice well maintained outdoor area to the rear.
a. G.
Nice place that was unfortunately let down by poor service . I take into account that several new members of staff where working and so when they got our drink wrong ,had a 20 minute wait for half the food to come and then one food order was incorrect ..I.can handle that but when asked if everything was ok we did mention about the incorrect food only and had a young man who appeared to be in charge tell us next time we need to tell him sooner and there was nothing he could do about it now a bit rubbish ..he then allowed a staff member to clear the half of our table which had finished eating even though I said we're still eating , then he disappeared ...probably won't return but they probably won't care
S. P.
A great Wetherspoons. Lots of space and an outdoor seating area. Usual Wetherspoons food and drinks and of course there excellent pricing. Staff are great and knowledgeable. This venue is a credit to Preston and a must on my pub-crawl list.
H. T.
Really nice here. Friendly staff. As it's Wetherspoons, food is good and prices are good. And I like that it is and old bank and they have left a lot of the old features inside. Lovely atmosphere.
R. “. M.
Good food, quick service even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon and all staff seemed very friendly. Generally clean and well kept so would definitely return.
J. S.
Me and my cousin and enjoyed one of the 'doubles', and we had a good natter in warm and pleasant comfortable surroundings. The bar staff were amiable.
J. E.
Nice Weatherspoons with a dancing area on the weekends after 9pm. Well priced pints with a large variety. Lovely sheltered outdoor area
D. T.
Really nice Wetherspoons with good food at decent prices. A very clean Wetherspoons with large bar and access to the Wetherspoons app which is a really neat feature which speeds up service. Well situated in the centre of Preston. A nice pub setting which livens up at night
S. R.
It's ok, it is what is, a refurbished old building, selling a decent selection of alcohol. Probably food during the day. I've only been at night when very busy. Good for a drink. Though probably too busy at weekends for some.
C. M.
Food and drink were fine, bartender gave me a different drink and didn't tell me however and for some strange reason they dimmed the lights and ramped the music up on a Tuesday? Just seemed odd.
L. S.
The food was okay, but the staff is not the best. They forgot to serve the ordered dessert, but the plates has been collected from our table. The tables are always dirty and sticky.
M.
Not a bad venue, friendly staff, and as most Weatherspoon's pretty decent food at a reasonable price; worth keeping an eye out for their specials menu, often excellent value for money.
J. V.
More of a party Wethers. The tall ceilings make it kinda echoey, so I'd say if you're after food and a talk, go to The Grey Friar. Twelve Tellers is great as a start to a night out though, check out the cool lighting after 10!
p. s.
Usual wetherspoons cheap as chips
S. R. T.
Good choice of real ales, decent wine, food fine for the price you pay,and the same in all Weatherspoons, you get what you pay for,use often.
H. M.
Excellent service, food and drinks!
J. W.
Good selection of beers beats the Gray friars and the postal order for real ale selection
F. D. S.
Food acceptable. Staff embarrassing.
R. “. S.
Your local pub (club when the kids get ushered out ;) )or place to have a few before heading to Manchester for a wild one. A great place to catch u and have some grub before the night begins.
S. N.
Drinks was okay. Customer service was good
A.
Like all Wetherspoons a clean and well managed establishment that is good value. The bar is very noisy (like a swimming baths) when full. Makes it difficult to have a conversation.
f. w.
This was a lovely place well looked after space was excellent social distance excellent and the service was excellent
T. H.
A decent sized pub with clean bathrooms, good choice of beverages and a typical Wetherspoon menu. The staff are really friendly and great at getting you served quickly - especially at busy times.
B. T.
The Twelve Tellers was very good, we had pizzas, small, ( which we wanted) but vety tasty. Pub was clean, with a pleasant atmosphere.
M. B.
The food was good. I wouldn't say spectacular though. The tables were sticky and it wasn't the cleanest, but for a quick pub meal, it's nice.
D. B.
Fabulous little Wetherspoons in the heart of Preston. Made even better by the presence of one of my favourite people in the world. Shipyard was up to standard to. (Standard, Flag on Ship, Shipyard...😂😂)
K. L.
It's a nice, big Wetherspoons pub with inattentive attention at the bar. Beer was good as was the food. Female staff were on the ball but the males at the bar were hopeless.
A. D.
Great place to visit with family and or friends. Very spacious .big tables for larger gatherings and good food .great menu .great location right near the centre of Preston . Always meet up here when I travel back to my homeland .
L. B.
Great pub very big area to fill but always busy. Food service good and staff friendly
A. B.
The Twelve Tellers is just like any other weather spoons, except this one has a twist, they transform when the clock strikes party, a dance floor appears with DJ, lights, lasers and a good bit of dry ice. Lovely staff.
A. S.
Large pub that used to be a bank hence the name.
A. B.
Friendly staff, prompt service
J. W.
Excellent service and great food
T. W. N.
Great place for a bite. Download the app so you can order from your table. Its super neat, you can order and pay on the app and then a few minutes later they will bring you your food.
c. s.
We arrived on Friday night with little time to spare as we was going to the Guidhall we ordered steak on medium and one well done meal arrive in the time quoted and it was the best steaks we have had in a long time cooked to perfection we will certainly be back thanks x
S. W.
The staff seemed to struggle with the rediculous rules over wearing masks when you stand up. Not their fault to be honest, just a rediculous rule on the part of the government
P. A.
Lively. Decent food and service
M.
Decent wetherspoons with music on Saturday nights. Good selection of drinks, plenty of indoor/outdoor seating.
L. E.
It's alright. Nice building, food is ok (not amazing though) you do get served pretty quick here, and food is served in good time though which is great.
K. A.
Good for the pub chain, above the average standard, big enough to find a quiet spot, though rowdy hen parties 🐔etc can be a bit too much
J.
Only given a three stars because the food wasn't anything special, very generic pub food. Wide choice of craft beers though
A. O.
Excellent place to meet up.
C. M.
Huge place, the food is great-looking, delicious, fresh (I haven't found anything tasting frozen) and fast. The bar is very large, as well as the menu, and the staff friendly, to outsiders too.
D. C.
Verry good food and nice atmosphere. Missing a star for slow service but it was rather busy
P. K.
Nice pub very busy. Best thing is you can use PayPal to pay for your food and drink and not have to go anywhere near the bar.
J. D.
Excellent food and great value for the money
J. M.
Just another Wetherspoons.
Good selection of spirits and beers, good value for money.
We got some food when we were there, good pub grub.
D. B.
Make sure you bring a change of clothes because how things are nowadays security will kick you out after 9 if you not wearing the suitable clothes for Friday night club jazz.. Even in your local weatherspoons 😅😅
C. D.
Food is cheap but if you don't want anything too fancy it is basic and filling. Better than a burger bar and you'll be happy with the price
G. L.
A wonderful drinking den. Superb ales. Great atmosphere and food.
K. Q.
Good value for food. Good selection of beers but casks are not served well. Pleasant environment and nice outdoor area when quiet.
L. G.
Great for a quick meal that does not cost too much. Service is prompt but often the seating area is rather cold.
M. W.
Very nice pub and welcoming value for money on selected drinks. Food is also good value but wouldn't be my first choice
L. T.
Really nice place, Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Hits 10 o'clock and its easy to forget you throwing shapes in what used to be a bank
K. R.
Decent spoons. Limited WiFi.
J. E.
A good Wetherspoons. Food great.
T. C.
Good cheap food and beer, the tables need to be cleaned quicker, had to wait a while before table was cleaned. Was only cleaned and cleared when our food arrived.
A. C.
I love this place the atmosphere is great but you need to get some more staff and more tills/cash desks so you can serve people quicker. You should open the bar outside more often
E. H.
I liked the place and the food was but they played to rugby match on a big screen and played it through the speakers it was also very busy because of the rugby
K. B.
1st time here. It was lovely as were the staff. Quick service nice food.
S. T.
Beatiful building and fast service. Highly recommended
P. C.
Decent 'spoons pub. Good selection of drinks and lively later in the evening. Beer garden gets a good bit of sun too!
H.
Good selection of gins and can order through app. Social distance measures are in place.
D. C.
Nice big wetherspoons. Great selection of drinks, and the new app makes it really easy to order drinks and they're brought to your table!
R. E.
Good selection of beer good atmosphere the food could be a little bit better otherwise very good caters for most people and the staff are helpful
H. P.
Lots of seating, great range of real ales at fantastic prices. Service at the bar can be slow at times
M. A. M.
It's cheaper than the days open till late very day - ridiculously large and high ceilings as converted bank - and they bring in a dance floor on the weekend - minus the stigma with the weatherspoons name it's the perfect place
A.
Standard Wetherspoons pub. Good beer at a decent price. The pub itself is very large as all Wetherspoons pubs tend to be. Very good social atmosphere.
S. T.
Huge bar with a fantastic choice of food at home prices.
Massive selection of drinks with lots of Craft & Foreign Beer.
Very friendly staff.
C. B.
Food was great and hot service excellent and prices reasonable. But they ran out of pizza came up with an alternative quite quickly
A. G.
A grand old building. Very spacious. The food we ordered, (Via their app), was very good and at a decent price.
V.
Friendly staff, usual.Spooms fair. All in a nice place to meet up for a drink and something to eat with friends/family.
S. G.
Standard Wetherspoons fayre. Excellent service as usual. Bit quiet for a Wetherspoons but visit was on Monday.
C. H.
Lovely interior. Food's good and the drinks are quite cheap. It livens up a bit after hours also. Good atmosphere.
J. I.
A mixture of young & older people come here there is plenty of room to dance or sit & just chat plus the drinks are quite cheap.
p. g.
Really lovely, good staff and good Fish and Chips ..

C. W.
Always great food at weather'spoons , kids meals are good value too if you remind them about the fruit bag, pizzas are amazing
J. A.
Unusual place for a wetherspoons think it was an old bank hence the name , food was quick for a sunday afternoon, if you ve only got 45mins to find somewhere to eat this is definitely the place .
M. P.
Me and my partner love this place the food is great the breakfasts are amazing and the coffee is nice too it's a clean and friendly place to go and the architecture features are nice to look at 👍
D. M.
The Twelve Tellers the best why use the rest!! Fab staff.food great.very clean.mixed age groups from students to seniors. Relax Enjoy
K. G.
Tipical weatherspoon. Very busy, quite a lot of drunk people. Beer garden packed as sun was out. However the smoking area is out of the sun and was freezing.
M. C.
Great little spoons with great prices and a dance floor. Never been to a spoons with a dance floor the atmosphere was Brill, good food and drinks!
G. D.
Typically good conversion by Wetherspoons. Presumably an ex-bank judging by the name. Well worth a visit. Gets very busy from my limited experience
D. J.
Reasonable food at reasonable prices. Ensure you sit well away from the bar area if you want a quiet family meal.
A. K. J.
Drinks are priced very competative. Food portion sizes generous but not served hot! Shame.
G. P.
Nice comfortable atmosphere, good selection of ales and other beers . Especially like the Doom bar beer , BIG BIG SHAME that it wasn't available for 2 weekends running .
Get your act together Wetherspoons.
S. K.

A. M.
Not bad food. Reasonably priced beer and spirits, and always busy on a Friday evening.

Over all a good pub but bar staff are kids and don’t understand what good customer service is. They stand chatting when customers want serving.
R. C.
Lovely venue, and great value and service as expected from wetherspoons
D. D.
Pleasant staff good quality food, plenty of room inside and no loud music playing, nice place to have lunch with friends.

D. S.
Very big clean weatherspoons in Preston
There at least 10 beers on Handpump and the staff are friendly and polite when serving the public
T. W.
This is a top run establishment. Top class Beveridge and food to your table. What more could you want from a City centre public house.
D. T.
Nice big pub. Used to be a bank. Nice food. Typical Wetherspoons prices. Gets busy at weekends.
N. W.

R. C.
Some very nice staff. Average weatherspoons food. Needs more for kids. Eg inserts for high chairs
G. H.
Its wetherspoons. It does what it says on the tin. That said, service in here is much better than most 'spoons pubs.
M. A.
Food good, beer just above average, big let down like every Wetherspoon is it's grossly under staffed at busy times
D. B.
It's a good meeting place but the bar gets too busy, the access to the toilets is bordering on dangerous and the choice of beer isn't 5he best.
G. K.
Nice pub, good atmosphere, following all the COVID guidelines
A. W.
Cheap beer and decent enough selection but can get pretty busy on Fridays and Saturdays with a bit of an odd crowd inside. Age range from 16 to about 80...
K. M.

P. E.
Good San Miguel good breakfast.
D. N.
Good food and service. Tables needed cleaning but it was very busy.

What you would expect from Wetherspoons, a huge bar with high ceilings. No long waits at the bar which is always a bonus.
T. H.
Great pub nice and relaxed when it's quiet but can he quite busy on weekend and student nights.
D. D.
