Nice if a little shabby interior and a novel USP with the pick a vinyl track, tell the staff and wait to hear it get played. Staff nice, we were here as always for the real ale which they had fair selection of well kept cask. Worth a visit.

Amazing pub that is run by two crackin' fellas. It's Preston's only Vinyl, Rock and Roots pub! Aamzing atmosphere all the time and if your hungry, the Doghouse can cater for you with a cracking selection hotdogs, including the currywurst which can be eaten in or taken away! There's always an amazing selection of Ales on both cask and keg and when live music comes back, the Tap normally has some amazing bands on the stage! Come down to the Tap, you won't be disappointed!!

A great experience. Very helpful and friendly staff with table service, contactless payment and outstanding entertainment. There's a small area outside for smokers with seating. Good food selection served until late. It became apparent immediately why it's called the vinyl tap as soon as you enter the premises. I shall definitely be going back and highly recommend a visit. ☆☆☆☆☆

Great little local pub, very focused on local ales, local food and fantastic live music. Not an ale drinker myself but I'm am told by people who are that their choices are top notch, otherwise great pricing across the rest of the bar with the usual choices you would expect. A lot of local, and from further afield bands playing, in a variety of styles so theres something for most people.

Atmosphere is great, food is even better. I had an incredible burger from this place and I'd happily go again. I like the idea of being surrounded by Vinyls as I'm a music lover and a casual vinyl collector myself. The choice of music is good, ranging from old classics, hidden gems to more modern music such as Rag N Bone man. You can even bring your own in if you wish! My only critique is when I first walked in the scent of the place was a little weird. It didn't smell off putting, it was just weird. It goes when you've been in there for about 10 minutes though, so I don't know if I just got used to it or not.

No night out in Preston should be complete without stopping in to this charming place of musical reverie and delicious food. The musical acts are eclectic and toe tapping, the beer selection vast, and the staff incredible. Highly recommended, especially on Friday and Saturday nights!

Vinyl Tap is a great real ale pub, craft ales in cans & is a musicians dream pub. Right opposite the Central Lancashire university. During the day they play an eclectic choice of vinyl records, chosen by the staff & their customers (and also a play on the words of the mockumentary band Spinal Tap). Where the amp goes to 11 - 1 louder. They also serve pub food, toastie, burgers etc - haven't tried these. During the week, Mondays from 8.30 is John Cruickshank's open mic night's, where musicians, wannabe musicians, amateur players etc all meet up, they're a really supportive group and inspire me to play and become a better artist. Not sure about other nights, but there's NME, music related books, various comic books etc. Saturday nights are gig nights and usually free. The Landlord Sean is an ace bloke, popular with the customers and the other bar staff are great too & know what ales they're serving unlike other pubs of Preston, in big chain pubs. Overall I like the venue, and highly recommend it.
