s. s.It’s a very unusual pub for the area in as much as it’s a proper drinking establishment and the bar staff are very friendly especially on a Wednesday early evening.
It’s a lovely old fashioned pub and the second best pub in Tilehurst behind The Royal Oak
B. T.Cosy little pub, staff pleasant helpful and friendly. Toilet clean and well maintained. Parking available. No longer serving food unfortunately (since covid lockdowns). Would return if in area.
T. H.The beer is in good condition, and you shall more than likely receive a warm welcome in this local pub. Carpets at the front and plenty of sport on show, you may well feel like you are at home.
B. L.Top notch selection of craft beer from many local small breweries. Very nice outside seating area too. My only (minor) complaint is it's quite expensive, but that seems to come with the craft beer territory.

R. B.This is an excellent pub. Very friendly and welcoming. It clearly has a lot of regular local customers which is always a good sign. Food is not served every day but it is very good indeed - try the jam sponge and custard.
I wish I had a local like this but, sadly, I live too far away to use it regularly.
R. P.Great local pub, will kept ale and friendly staff and locals. I didn't eat but the snacks were good. Car park fairly cosy with only a few spaces. Accessibility for disabled may be difficult due to the physical building.

P.A small local pub. Small both in terms of the numbers of people that can fit in, and in terms of height (I hit my head in there last week on a beam which had a "mind your head" sign on it). Tends to be different crowds depending on time of day and the day of the week - early evening its people finishing work, so mid thirties upward. Evenings older folk. Nice atmosphere, no trouble. Landlord is an ok sort.

Excellent staff, quality food! Run by a family. Dog friendly. They have a darts board, which is a big bonus! :-)
