A. W.Lively atmosphere and just next to the station so it’s really easy to get to. Delicious food and Vegan options including the Beyond Burger. It can be a bit noisy if you’re just here for food but plenty of tables to choose from usually for quieter areas.

Everyone was incredibly friendly and the photo booth upstairs by the toilet was such a fun surprise at the end of the night. I will definitely be back thanks so much for a fun evening!!

The staff are top teir and always very friendly. I would highly recommend to everyone as there isn't a demographic that owns it. Hosts drag through to rock on their stage and loads of lovely events in-between.
S. S.Amazing triple cooked chips, very cool and funky interior with an old TV and videos which they play occasionally. They do show major sporting events on the big screen however, but usually they just have music playing. They often have bands playing and they play a wide range of music so it caters for all tastes. They have nice toilets but they are cold and upstairs. There is a disabled loo at the bottom of the stairs too but it isn't very nice, poor flush and hand dryer doesn't work currently. They do not do a wide range of food but have added some pub grub dishes. Mainly burgers and chicken with some vegie options too. Suitable for families. It can get busy on Friday and Saturday evenings but mostly is fairly quiet, Sunday afternoon is very peaceful in there.

Extensive food and drinks menu consisting of a world wide plethora of draught beers, quality spirits, and more cocktails on offer than you can throw a fist-full of Smarties at.
The DJ is always ON POINT! On this particular night there was a great mixture of Funk/Soul to begin with, then gradually upped the ante with some Rock, Indie and Alternative music.

T. 4.We have been going to the Oakford as a family on a saturday for several years (pandemic excepted). Always excellent food and service, a good selection of drinks, and it is a genuine shame when we have to eat somewhere else instead. We recommened the boneless chicken bites and vegetarian options are also good.

What's not to like?
B. M.I really like the place. I pop in often for a couple of beers before getting the train home. The pub is big and nicely kitted out with a good range of drinks.
What I appreciate most about this place is the staff, they really are a credit to the pub and I'd employ them in a heartbeat if I were in your sector or if any of them fancied a change ;) They're always just the right amount of friendly, very efficent and very clearly bought into the ethos of the place. I see a lot of very poorly run pubs on my travels, one that isn't stands out a mile. Well done.
(You'd get 5 stars if the beer was slightly cheaper - but I get it, location and all that.)

G. C.I went on a Tuesday and the bar was far from empty, but there was plenty of room to find a seat and chat with friends. It has a nice atmosphere which is very modern with cutlery in cans and food served in clean cardboard take away boxes. Fun if you like that and no negative impact on the quality of the food at all. We all said it had the best food!
I decided to order something small and got the boneless chicken. It was the best boneless chicken, I had ever had! Although it didn't come with chips for free, it was still well worth the price and I am glad I ordered it!
Some of my friends ordered southern fried chicken with spicy batter and they found it a little bit too spicy. The Oakford does a variety of different batters so pick one which is suited too you and if you're not one for spicy food, don't order the hottest on the menu! Simple.
A really good night. If I was squeezed for a criticism I might say that the music was a little bit too loud, but that might just be me I struggle to understand what my friends are nattering about at the best of times.

S. W.I like this place. Good location, food, vibe, and selection of beers. However, the staff can sometimes be very rude. I went on a Tuesday night (2 for 1 burgers) for dinner and there was some confusion surrounding offers, in particular combining two discounts. The bar staff said one thing and the manager said another, and it was all very confusing. We went back to our table sincerely believing that we were getting the discount on the burgers but not the sides, and that we couldn't get a discount on the sides. We ordered 4 burgers thinking we were getting them for the price of 2, and then a number of sides.
However, our sides never arrived. It turned out that we couldn't get the discount on the burgers either, but this wasn't explained to us, the food simply never arrived. Now, there were only 3 of us but we ordered 4 burgers.. we obviously wouldn't have ordered 4 had we not been led to believe that the discount still applied to the burgers. The man at the bar even asked which sides we wanted in addition to the burgers? Why did he do that if there was no intention of actually fulfilling the order?
I approached the manger (George, I believe his name is) because I was confused, inquiring about the sides we ordered. He explained to me the issue, that the sides we ordered never went through (even though we were asked which sides we wanted???) and that they weren't coming. I then simply and reasonably said "ah, that's disappointing", and this is where he turned aggressive. He immediately told me that I had no right to be disappointed because I was in the wrong. I said that it's natural to be disappointed in such circumstances even if I was in the wrong, and again he doubled down and said that was not the case, that I should not be disappointed at all. That's even ignoring the fact that we were led to believe that the sides were coming, since the man behind the bar asked us which sides we wanted... so not only did I not get an apology for all the confusion, but on the contrary, I was spoken to with complete contempt.
In which circumstances is it appropriate to tell someone how to feel? Basic social awareness informs most people that telling people how to feel is deeply inappropriate in almost any circumstance, and rather than diffusing the situation I felt like George was trying to escalate it further! How perverse I needed to diffuse the situation, when this is literally his job? Talk about unprofessional! I like Oakford social club, so I am disappointed by the way that man (George) talked to me, and even though I like the establishment as a whole, I shan't be returning for a long time, just as a matter of principle.

I went into the Oakford during the week and I was greeted by a warm welcome from manager Peter.
I had enjoyed my pint of Camden Hells and beef burger which George brought over and was attentive when I asked for an extra beer.
It's in a great location by the train station and I had clean and cool look to the place.
I would return.

The burgers are great, there's one with slices of flat iron steak on it which feels pretty decadent. Today we went for the burger that has fried chicken in it, a thick, succulent slab of fried chicken that I'd be really happy with on it's own. When included in a burger my groans of enjoyment were audible and embarrassing. The bill came to piss all, this is the first time I've been on a Tuesday but the 2-4-1 deal makes things ridiculously cheap. I think Tuesday's at the Oakford is gonna become a weekly thing...
