Really nice food and drinks. Unfortunately on the day we visited it took quite a long time getting our food, but it was very busy and there didn't seem to be a lot of staff on. However the staff were helpful and friendly and I would definitely go again. Good live music, although a little loud when trying to talk with people while eating dinner.

Food was great! Place is accessible in the town and also, the interior looks festive. Music was also groovy! Around 2100 the DJ arrived and so the fun and dancing began! We had a lot of fun dancing and also we were all stuffed from the food we ordered. We had a great team dinner/party.

Brilliant restaurant! Went on a Friday night for drinks and the live band then DJ were brilliant and created an amazing atmosphere to go with the drinks. Then went for dinner a few days later and was so impressed with the quality and taste of the food (rare for me to say). The tapas were brilliant and seasoned well, we had to order more after the first round! Will definitely be returning many times!

Amazing cocktails...amazing food....all the girls looking after our table were amazing....sadly some miserable female manager person turned up on a power trip left a very sour taste in our mouths...Izzy nd her colleagues were brilliant...Supervisor/manager woman showed up who must have just been dumped by her bf or gf not liking the fact customers were enjoying themselves...shame after such a good nite..hopefully she gets the bullet soon...

The restaurant was nice but if you are going for dinner, think twice… the music was extremely loud and my partner and I couldn’t hear each other at all. The girl at receptionist was a little rude. We couldn’t even hear our waitress that changed the chicken to veggies enchiladas (I’m allergic to mushrooms and I didn’t know she changed it and I ate one of them…). Food was ok. A little pricey.

Went for bottomless brunch Saturday morning and it was awesome. Most places only give you a choice of one or two drinks, here you could have seven. Food was great and the service was especially good. Was served by Katie, my glass never went empty without being asked if we needed another drink, also got us one in just before the cutoff 🙂 had a great time, service was fantastic, you should totally come here for brunch. Wow this place gets absolutely jam packed. Nice Salsa/Rhumba vibe. If you want to get a drink get there early. If you get there when it is busy, give up on drinks you will never make it to the bar ... Great music and vibe and very busy. Recommended. .

If you like Cuban food and loudish Cuban style music it'll hit the spot, had a pretty decent evening here, bar queues were a little long but not overly stupid, bar prices were a bit high but it's a club so you should expect that.

I love the decor in this place! Food was tasty too! We were served by Izzi last Saturday and she was very sweet and attentive. We were in a bit of a rush and she ensured we got our food nice and quick plus kept an eye on us when we needed the bill so we weren't late for a booking elsewhere. Thanks Izzi!

Such a great place to visit. The atmosphere is really nice full of latin spirit. The food was tasty, we ordered a quesadilla burger, a charred haloumi sunshine salad and a Caribbean chicken curry (you can have a look in the attached photos). The coctails are great but quite pricey. There are 2 for 1 offers for coctails and tapas from Sunday to Thursday all the day. I have read some complaints in other reviews about the staff but in our case all the ladies from the cantine were really helpfull, smiley and polite. I would recommend this place and I would visit it again.

Ever since I moved from the US to the UK, one of the foods I've been looking out for is Cuban food. I think I've finally found it in Reading at Revolución de Cuba. To start with, we had some mojitos and some tapas. The chicken tacos were very nice, and the chili plantains bites were quite satisfying. For our main meals, we got Cuban and chimichurri Cuban sandwiches. They were outstanding. I would like to try other items on the menu in future visits (and there will be future visits), but I may have a hard time staying away from the sandwiches. This place is a definite win, and I'm glad I finally found a Cuban restaurant near me.

I had the Chicken Burrito with the seasoned fries & the guacamole. Was garnished with diced tomatoes for presentation, a little masterchef vibe going on there I respect it. The burrito was banging , especially with a little of that guac on top. Then those seasoned fries to accompany the burrito...serious. Then I just had a humble mango juice & water on the side to quench the thirst. The live band added to the ambience of the restaurant aswell , gave the restaurant a real buzz. Though I will say the music was a bit too loud considering it was 7-7.30pm. I know how to modulate , but you couldn't really converse at the table while eating without having to shout in someone's ear. It would make more sense to raise the volume later in the evening when less people are eating & more dancing. Sort that volume & the whole experience should be fine. 👌🏾 Safe

The place is nice ,good decoration. The music, though, has nothing to do with the Latin environment, that was disappointing. We had 3 cocktails but only one of them was nice . Zombie and Pina Colada were not good, the flamingo watermelon was nice .

Hi Revolución de Cuba 😊 Your venue could (and should) be the best alternative for Latin music further away from listening Despacito and Danza Kuduro from time to time... People go there looking for a different vibe and, especially, they go there to dance. Like proper dance, not just jumping and bobbing the head. This could be a great true 'latino' experience (alongside with the decoration and the great menu) with music shifting from what anyone can find in -literally- any other clubs in Reading... I understand we are in England and most of the customers are British but the music, most of the times, doesn't fit the place 😔 The Hispanic community is also quite representative in this town and they'd love a place where they can party feeling closer to home. Overall the music is good, don't get me wrong, but could be much more improved with the proper styles. Drinks are amazing (despite of the ridiculously humongous waiting times at the bar) and the vibes at the place are great! Keep up the great work but, please, have into consideration the music selection for better experiences 😉 Miguel Á.

Had a really nice night here. The service was warm and prompt with proper concern being given to social distancing. The cocktails were a mixed bag, my partner didn't like her margarita and my mojito wasn't sweetened at all. I also wasn't a fan that all of the coke based cocktails were made with coke zero. Probably could have asked for them to be made with the full fat stuff but I was ordering through the app which made that difficult. The follow up cocktails were nice though. The food all in all was really good. We had tapas and I enjoyed all of the dishes. Real stand outs for me were the jerk fried chicken and the pork belly. The quesadillas were a little moist and could have done with a little longer to toast them up so they could be picked up but they were tasty.

I went here for bottomless brunch a few days ago and had an amazing experience. The brunch was really good value for money and the food was delicious (I had the Cubano Benedict). It was nice to have the bruschetta and mimosa to start with as well. The service was extremely good as well. Alex was lovely and checked up on us frequently and just made the experience amazing. We were also served by Anchenar and Kalyon who were also lovely. I would definitely recommend the bottomless brunch here.

Very accommodating for a big group on a Friday night. There were 20+ of us needing to eat, so we booked ahead. The food was a great selection of tapas with plenty for everyone. It came with big teapots of cocktails included for the tables. We originally planned to eat there and head somewhere else, but had such a good time with the cocktails and music that we ended up staying all night.

We called in for the first time a week or so ago. First impressions were good and the place has a smart appearance and comfortable setting; we're not sure why we haven't popped in before. Initially this would have been an easy 4*, but after opting to stay for a second drink the service took a turn for the worse. There was a ferocious delay whilst we waited for a couple of cocktails to be made (as no other members of staff seemed interested in getting behind the bar). The delay then caused a build of orders and when we were finally served they had no draught left anyhow...bit of a shambles to end the visit.

We went for brunch at the weekend (group of four) the waitress serving us - Donna - was lovely. Really on top of the drinks and bringing out the food. The food was really good. I've been here quite a few times and as a whole it's a good experience. The food is great, the staff are friendly and have amazing customer service apart from 1 girl (she works behind the bar, if you've been here you'll know who I'm on about), the drinks are varied and delicious - reggae rum punch is a personal favourite, and the live music is great. Strongly recommended that you go, however please note that everyday of the week is busy and if there's a group of people - reserve a table to sit at.

26Oct2020: i could not believe its been nearly 10 months i haven't been my favorite restorant in Reading 🤭 Today i booked a table and served by Sean, who is a friendly professional and aware of the art of serving 🤙 Again, i definitely suggest R. de Cuba, never miss the chance when you get to Reading.. Great place to have dinner. Friendly and kind staff. Prices well balanced. I just get use to the city but this place will be probably one of my favourites. it was friday and a DJ performance was also placed after dinner service. Entrence is controlled so the population inside is nice. I definitely suggest you to visit🙂👍 17May2021: What a year! Finally we are in again🤘 it is really fantastic to enjoy this place after ages☺️ Today Alex ( Alexandra) helped me, it is also nice to see accustomed faces back again. She was and she is always professional, it is obvious she enjoys her job. 5 more well deserved ⭐️ again for Revolucion de Cuba and its staff!

Booked for a group of 20 to take the cocktail masterclass and have a few drinks afterwards. Everyone had a great time! The staff were excellent and the food (mostrador menu) was really good too. The event staff were helpful and flexible as I changed the details a lot! They booked out the Havana Bar and Terrace for us all afternoon but we stayed well into the evening where they had a really good DJ (although we were pretty merry by then!). Definitely recommended.

Myself and friends ate here last weekend, food was very good here however, the service was not. We waited nearly an hour for bread and olives with no explanation when we asked how long they would be. Our mains then arrived around 30 mins after that and a member of the group had tapas who then had to wait another 30 mins for their last dish. She had told the waitress she no longer wanted the nachos before they had arrived as the rest of us had finished our dinners, the nachos then arrived and we told her we didn’t want them which was met with an eye roll. Will not be coming again any time soon, bad service and bad attitudes, it’s a shame because the food is lovely!!

Good latin music, great cocktails and good quality food. It's not a cheap place, but it's definitely affordable. There's usually live music too. Also, toilets are one of the cleanest I've ever seen in a bar (even at 12 am) .

The food was delicious and was great for sharing tapas; the food deal on two and three courses was fairly decent. It filled me up well but a person I went with was displeased as their fish was bitter ano not to his taste. I personally think it was a one off as the other personal I went with and I had a great meal. The coffee was excellent and I would highly recommend this place. This resturant is quite easily accessible as it is right outside a bus stop and fairly close to the station. To wrap things up, the service was fairly good and got better as the meal carried on. Although their was a mistake in the bill, they were very apoligetic and rectified it quickly.
