Driving past and saw this idealic country pub, popped in for a pint in the garden, price a bit more then u would pay else where, but the lovely surroundings compensated, came back a few weeks later to try out the food, the setting was very nice, lovely old pictures to look at in a quirky setting, only fault was my starter of Gunnochi was very bland, well worth a visit when in the area

We all really enjoyed our Sunday lunch in private room which is perfect for 10 people. Excellent food and well kept ale. Very helpful owner who arranged for an off menu vegan nut roast. 4 children 6 adults and 2 dogs were all made to feel very welcome.

What a fabulous couple of days! Owen and his team were first class hosts, so welcoming and friendly. As a fussy eater I am normally hard to please but everything we ate was delicious, we had two nights eating 3 course meals 😋 plus the added bonus of being able to Park the motorhome in the car park . We will definitely be back
Didn't really want to write a good review incase it gets to busy 😁

Great little pub located in a beautiful area, lots of beautiful places to walk in and around the surrounding area. The pubs quite deciding with lots of space inside and out, with a good sized veer garden and miniature football pitch for the kids attached to this. Look forward to a beer here during the summer! Friendly staff.

A first visit, and all 6 of us enjoyed it. Main courses were excellent, and service was ideal. We agreed that all of the desserts were tasty but only the sticky toffee looked appealing.

The best service we've had in a long time. Great location for a walk followed by delicious Sunday lunch. Turned up with 3 screaming babies and two dogs, given a great table and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in for quick drink on a ride, haven't been in years. Forgotten how lovely it was! Will be back for food next time. Great staff, service, amazing garden. Well kept brakspear and a Rosie pigg Cloudy rhubarb cider which was beautiful 😍

What a lovely find!!!!
....but ssshhhh! When you find a gem like this you may want to keep it to yourself! Great service ... really great service from a team that cared and were personable. Food was lovely and promptly served.
The pub is pretty and is tucked away in an idyllic, quiet location.

Eaten here 3 times since lockdown easing now! Dinner, Sunday roast and a lunch! The staff are so friendly, the food is so good, the location is lovely, and to top it all off, the prices are reasonable! Can't recommend enough! 😊😊

As regular walkers at Crazies Hill and fans of The Horns' coffee and cake to takeaway, we'd never actually been inside the pub. We decided to book there for a rare meal out (wedding anniversary) and we were absolutely delighted we did. Seated by the open fire, we were made to feel so welcome by the lovely staff, the food was top notch (and portions just right) and the atmosphere was cosy - everything a country pub should be. We will be back!
