For the reason that the kitchen closes from 1500 and opens again around 1700? I love food!
Well anyway, there’s a parking space. And you’ll be surprised how big it is the moment you get inside. Like there are 3 parts. Indoors and 2 different gardens.
We only had drinks as I said the kitchen was already closed when we got in.

Visited here as a family with our 3yo son, it was such a lovely place! Great music and service. The food was incredible, some lovey concoctions that I have never seen on a menu before but were delicious! I mean honey on a pizza?! It was so tasty! Good pints as well. Highly recommend and worth a try
R. A.
Decent £5 Thursday/Friday lunchtime pizza (the simply red is vegan and tasty with some chilli oil, some burnt bits but you could call it rustic(!) plus white rabbit bases £2 extra for gluten intolerant) and craft beer (local Siren brewery was available, quite pricey at £5.70 otherwise the excellent Loddon or the Arkel’s standard fare more like £4). Good music, friendly staff, loads of outdoor seating and plugs/functional seating for working.

The last crumb in Caversham is arguably one of the best pubs in Reading. They have a lovely beer garden which is perfect for the summer. And they serve amazing food, especially burgers. Their Dirty Bird Burger is UNREAL. It comes with buttermilk fried chicken, dill pickles, tomato, lettuce and chipotle mayo 🍔 And their parmesan truffle fries are just to die for too. Definitely a place to visit for great burgers and beer.

Currently my favourite pub in Caversham on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The customers are generally young adults, pushing me into the older bracket. Good selection of beer, brewed for the Dodo pubs. I have settled on the Craft Ale. The burger (Big D) was the best I have had in some time. This can be cooked 'pink' which is testament to the quality of the meat. The menu is limited, but I believe they 'do what the do' very well. The garden area is closed in and they are dog friendly (treats and water freely available and accessible on the bar). You can generally find some shade, and there is covered seating (open fronted 'sheds'). Can't comment on the evening, other than my young adult kids have been. Bar staff are friendly, but they can get very busy. They open at 12pm Thur-Sun, otherwise 5pm. Be warned, the kitchen closes at 3pm and re-opens at 5pm.

Fantastic homely pub with a brilliant selection of unique beers and larger that can only be found in dodo pubs. Food on the menu is well worth the trip to this pub, well cooked and full of flavour, I ate The Dirty Bird (chicken burger) which was amazing and enough to keep you full for hours of drinking. The team have made this venue feel wonderful and everyone is welcome.

Most likely the best pizza I’ve ever had. This place is truly amazing I love the atmosphere and the friendly staff!

I’ve recently visited the last crumb for food and drinks and was amazed by how nice the food and service was. Everyone from the party I was with commented on how delicious the food was that night. The service was brilliant too, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for drinks in the beer garden afterwards too. The Manager and staff are brilliant and made it an enjoyable night

A great selection of local beers on tap in a trendy industrial Dodo pub setting. There’s a large roof garden upstairs with pub benches & heated open containers, plus a new large gazebo outside. The handy hatch in the wall is great for all-outdoor contact free ordering. Attracts a busy young/student crowd at times but good, quality beer for all ages. Burgers & pizzas are yummy too. A great sense of community events, like outdoor cinema screening in the summer. Worth a jaunt up the hill to the top end of Prospect Street for a pint.
M. L.
Lovely atmosphere and service - pizza was divine! Couldn’t check out the garden area, but would definitely go again and have a gander.

We come to the Crumb every few months it looks like it should promise so much but unfortunately they never quite hit the mark. Today , after queueing for the bar, was told a 45 min wait on food, ordered £70 worth, pizza came in 45 min. Had to wait another 30min for the rest of our meals. Don't know if they need more staff or a better approach but will leave it another 6 months before we risk visiting again
M. C.
What a great pub. Booked a table for two, they even remembered where we were from and our names and seated us to our table generously. The food was nothing far from perfect. Prices were too cheap for the food and the quality. Will be returning and would suggest anyone wanting good food, a great pub with an atmosphere to come here. If I could give 6 stars I would.
R. S.
Good food. Dog friendly. Good beers. Good beer garden. What more can you aso for?! Only downside is that inside is a little small so not ideal for a rainy day as its likely to be full
M. H.
The new pub has now opened. The renovations are done with a good taste and imagination. The bar location has been changed and the new decor looks very attractive with rusty look that is very inviting.
The food and drinks were of the good quality pub food with excellent service by Betty who was pleasant and knowledgeable.
The male toilets were clean with neutral smell but water taps in the hand basin were not of the well thought of design. The hot water was extremely hot and no mixer tap facility that would’ve been safer and better option. So was the position of liquid soap dispenser - it was fitted ridiculously high above the hand basin and the soap shoots directly either on your clothes or on the ground.
Most of the chairs and tables it seems were acquired from a charity shop like Sue Ryder. A couple of chairs were broken and should’ve been replaced!

Very good pizza the you wont leave not even that last crumb of it in the title , way to delicious ! One of dodo pizzas best feature the pizza borders so much texteture, they are way too good!and toppings , combinations of mouthwatering toppings and a real good amount too !
D. W.
Slightly disappointed; the wings had good flavour but were dry, burger wasn't allowed to rest properly so bottom bun was soggy (burger blasmathy) and the streaky acon wasn't cooked long enough so fat was chewy had to throw most away. Was first time trying here so will give it another go to see if it was a one off. (Takeaway due to covid, dine in might be different experience)
P. C.
Good range of beers and a huge garden (just beware if you're buying drinks and your friends say they'll meet you in the garden that there are a lot of separate parts to the garden).
R. B.
The burger was quite nice but for 5 pounds per side the coleslaw and chips were TINY. Would have expected something a bit more generous.
J. M.
Nice modern pub with a limited, but seriously good, burger/pizza menu. Selection of beers isnt great (I'm a larger man...) but overall worth a casual visit
N. A.
Really lovely. They've got a great selection of drinks, some of my favourite beers and great strong ciders for my girlfriend, the drinks are well priced... For Reading. The food was perfect, with a good choice (within the limits of mostly pizza or burgers). Although semi expensive it was worth it and came out speedy. WiFi is easy to get on and works all the way to the (amazing) garden.
J. *.
Wow, so impressed, the most divine burgers going, in every way, whether veggie or otherwise, totally mouthwatering & good selection of all drinks to wash down with, including Happy Hour offers. The stuffed mushroom burger surpassed all expectations. A refreshingly discreet way of showing big sporting events on huge pull down projector screens when the occasion takes place... plus the novel but oh so practical extra chairs hung on a wall. Extremely helpful team & newspapers to share at the ready. Nice chilled atmosphere
A. U.
Love this pub! It has three gardens, fusbol, great food, board games and good selection of beers😊
D. C.
I like The Last Crumb a lot. It has a nice atmosphere that isn't pokey. They have a good drinks selection and the food is real taste, but simple at a fair price. Definitely recommend it for a social meetup or family lunch
M. H.
Hi my previous star rating saved before I could complete it. I meant to explain the reason for my stars. The pub is a nice pub with a good atmosphere and the staff are helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we booked a table for a Christmas get together with a few friends and were asked for a £40 deposit that would come off the food bill. When we came to the pub and went to order we had to order from the app. however on the app you have we had to pay for the food at time of order and were advised there was no way to deduct the deposit from the food order as the app and the till system are not linked.
We were then advised that we could use the deposit for drinks but unfortunately we had already bought £30 worth of drinks. As we were unable to get refund on the deposit my mates were forced (not exactly by gun point) to drink another £40 worth of booze. Although a bit of a first world problem it was none the less frustrating.
Another minor personal annoyances is that I just want to buy able to buy a whole meal. The food when it arrived was of good quality and tasty but if I go to a pub or restaurant I would like the main part of the meal to come with a side and garnish as a complete meal and preferably on its own plate rather than have to peel my burger of a tray :-) . I am not that old but I remember a time when in pubs and restaurants if you ordered a burger you got chips, salad and coleslaw with it rather than the budget airline model of making stuff you should have an extra cost.
For example I ordered the Big D burger £10.50 and added Rosemary chips £3.50 Coleslaw £3.50. Just call if 15 quid and put it on a plate. Easy.
That said these are definitely 1st world problems and as I write this I am having a proper word with myself about whether to hit the post button but this is Caversham darling. I appreciate that hospitality is surviving under tough conditions so hope this review is taken in the right context.
Keep up the great work and stay safe and I am sure I will be back for a 5 star service in the future. Merry New Year
I. V.
Very delicious food and fast table service. Really liked it!
P. B.
A popular pub which sells its own draft ale & lager brand's I believe. No complaints from me both were very good.
Food was in the order of Pizzas.
Mainly younger customers, although being older I still felt the buzz.
Those serving all had pleasant personalities and made me feel welcome.
S. C.
Really like what they've done with the place it's nice and cosy. Service great! I had the Mighty Veggie breakfast. I don't like avocado so exchanged it for another hash brown. Unfortunately no tofu scramble available so wasn't able to try it. And would have preferred the beans caged. Did really enjoy it but it was crazy busy. Food took about 45 mins to come. Luckily it was 50% off food. I wouldn't pay £11. Way too expensive. Coffee was £2.50 for a large americano which again nice coffee but wouldn't call it a large. In conclusion, they need to lower the pricing but will go again when food or drinks on offer (happy hour etc)
B. M.
Nice pub and very nice garden at the rear. Not really suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs etc .
M.
Finally good buffalo wings, 24hr sourdough pizza & craft ales under one roof… what else do you need?!
The best pub in Reading!
P. S.
Absolutely fabulous pub. Superb range of beers and drinks, very comfortable, very inviting and lovely staff. Win win
N. A.
Burger nice although we went for pizzas and once there they told us they would not serve them for lack of personal.
A. L.
Easily the best pub in Caversham. I personally love the Dodo burger. Plus a secret tunnel for the younger kids to enjoy, as well as, heaters in the outside area for when it gets a bit cold. Can't wait to come back in May. Update: coming back today so hope they sustain their quality.
c. w.
What a lovely place for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Gardens very nice staff very welcoming and helpful
E. T.
Really nice pub to come to for a drink or some food. Lots of outdoor space, some tables with cover from the sun.
A good range of ales, food includes burgers and pizzas, and they do some fun toffee shots that taste great.
Food and drink is ordered via the website for which a QR code is on every table. Orders come quickly which is great, and staff are really friendly.
K. S.
Stopped for a quick drink on the way home after a short bike ride. We sat at the front of the pub under cover with the heaters on as it was freezing & very windy. Sampled the craft beer which was very good. Didn't eat so can't vouch for the food. There is a lot of outside space to sit outside, all undercover. Garden is sunny, when it's out ☀️
R. E.
Nice place. I like the aesthetic and vibe but their own beer doesn’t taste great. Other guest beers are served better at other pubs. It’s let down a bit by it’s beer but I’ll keep coming back for the relaxed vibe in the hope that it might improve.
J. M. “. P.
The best pizza in Caversham, and actually maybe in whole Reading! Well done!
R. D.
just a short visit for a well deserved pint of their craft ale, after 3 hours on my allotment nearby. Food looks excellent and there's a buzz here. Well organised ordering system with friendly helpful staff. Come and enjoy The Last Crumb (TLC) you'll get music too.
D.
Nice booze, great beers on tap, good prices. But, why 3 stars do you say? Quite possibly the worse pizza I have ever had, and I once had a pizza in LAX airport. Just, cook the dough all the way through so it doesn't feel like I am chewing my way through unsalted porridge. Why didn't I complain about my £8.50 pizza? Too British and drunk.
G. O.
Nice atmosphere. Food was OK. Service was very friendly.
M. T.
Went here for a 40th birthday (old I know) & the whole night exceeded expectations. Use of technology to order food & drink was seamless & the pizzas weren't half bad either. So much so I ordered 2nd one just for myself...diet just had to wait another day.
S. S.
Came in on a Tuesday night with the other half for a few drinks and some food. It was really busy as it’s still their first week but the staff seemed very on-the-ball and our table was cleared and cleaned for us soon after we sat down.
Quinn, the bartender, was awesome! He knew the answers to all my questions about the food menu and was also really chatty and funny.
Lots of options for beers and the food was absolutely delicious! Burgers were cooked just right (not too dry but now raw), buns were fresh and tasty and the loaded fries (we got the truffle + cheese and the buffalo fries) were really good.
We got told it would be about a 40 minute wait for food, which we expected as the place was flat out, and we also didn’t mind as we had two drinks each to see off. The food actually arrived after 20 minutes which was a pleasant surprise.
£35 for both of us all together is pretty good considering we left full to the brim and semi-steaming.
Highly recommend it.
E. T.
Really like this place. Friendly staff and food is good. Only reason for 4* is it is pretty expensive. Could expand the vegan options a little too
B. G.
Amazing venue, but particularly amazing staff. Couldn’t of felt more welcomed too, and don’t get me started on the food and drink! 10/10 would recommend to a friend 💜
M. A.
If you pre-book, ask for a seat in the garden!
When I booked I didn't know they'd constructed a marquee in the carpark. We were seated by the main road, in a cold tent, with zero sunshine. Bleak. To make matters worse (although it did actually improve our day), after 2 hours we got asked if we were having food. When we replied in the negative, someone else approached us 5 minutes later to tell us we had 4 minutes to finish our recently ordered drinks, and vacate the table. Thanks then. Instead we went and sat in a friend's garden (via Waitrose). Much better.
*amended score due to excellent (and fair) response. Am not sold on the tent area still though. It is just drinking in a car park!
G. F.
Accomodating the group who attended, the Last Crumb had a friendly and inviting atmosphere, whilst obtaining good social distancing. The current seating area at the front had plenty of space and heaters surrounding all tables and the table service with QR code menus was quick and easy. Dog friendly also!
Toilet (male) was clean and had oaoer towels as optional to hand dryer which made it much quicker "in and out" considering the smaller size of the sink area.
Favourite spacious pub with good food, reccommend for lunch or afternoon ale to anyone! (Try the pizza!)
B. J.
Food is ok. Beer is weak all 5% and lower very limited choice as pub is a glorified brewery tap room with a kitchen. Limited spirit option. Starter pub for 18-24 year olds. Much better options in the area for someone to enjoy a pint.
V. C.
Good service. Good range of beverages. They have made a good effort for the customers despite the Covid situation adding temporary extra outdoor space in the car park. They deserve to make it through this crisis and thrive the other side.
M. S.
Great pub, would arguably say it's the best in Caversham.
It's got a great vibe with friendly staff and are very welcoming to dogs. Food is spot on and there's a wide selection of beer on draught.
If it's sunny, definitely get yourself up the stairs to the beer garden.
T. d. l. H.
Great atmosphere and fantastic selection of beers
E. O.
Welcoming into the venu was speedy and carefully done. Obtaining and delivery of food and wine was very prompt and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
I ventured inside to the toilets and heard banging tines on my way in and out. These guys have got it all.
A fantastic night out!
T. K.
Been a few times for both drinks and food and it's been excellent each time. I cannot give enough credit to the welcoming staff too, as I'm always greeted by a guy called George (so, extra props to him), which really gives the place a friendly feel from the get go.
M. D.
Busy pub/ restaurant. Excellent service, quick. Lots of parking.
C. B.
Lovely staff couldn't be more helpful and the food was very reasonable and tasty .
The Last Crumb is a good pub when we are in this area again we will definitely be back
Thanks guys
D. P.
The drinks section is poor if you want anything apart from beer, and the piped music too loud for conversation, even outdoors. The staff were friendly and attentive.
M. E.
For a newly opened pub there seemed very little in the way of rough edges to knock off. The owners know their business. Beer and food choices were excellent. My kids recommend the blueberry waffles.
K. G.
The Pizzas are excellent. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Due to outdoor tables, parking is limited.
M. E.
We gave them a hard time with food allergies and asking for a burger to be cooked a bit more, but they handled it really well. Good selection of beers and ales. Modern and cosy place, a little small
P. S.
Nice little pub visited twice while visiting family well recommended nice beer and food
S. I.
Love this place, staff are uber cool and friendly! Great place for an all dayer or just a couple of hours!
Best place in Caversham!
And more importantly dog friendly!
D. L.
Nice outdoor area, lots of food to choose from, lovely staff, but poor selection of beer in my opinion
B. L.

L. E.
We enjoy going to the Last Crumb and I love the pizzas and outdoor garden for the dog. We had a small issue with service which the restaurant promptly rectified. Lovely local in Caversham.
p. w.
A wonderful Restaurant the whole family loved it. Speedy service, delicious food and friendly staff. :)
J. W.
Great place - love the decor and layout. Thoughtful menu (a short menu with quality dishes) - and professional, friendly service. A great place to relax. They even have a free outdoor cinema in the summer.

A. F.

C.
Good range of beer, and straight forward food. Excellent upbeat staff
K. M.
Fab Garden. Table service now gone since the lockdown rules lifted...which is a great shame. Queuing at the bar is a bit tiresome. Bring back the table service app Dodo!
P. H.
Nice beer and wine and a pleasant surrounding. Really like what they've done with the place. Didn't eat there but the food looked good.
T. B.
Nice pub, good selection of beers and spirits. Big plans for pub but disappointed with the eating and bar area, seems to be smaller now since the takeover. I wish the pub good luck it's a nice addition to Caversham
B. T.
Had 'The Big D' burger, rly good 👌🏻
J. T.
Mixed up order, forgotten items that never came
A. H.

P. S.
Great space, good parking. Food was ok, a little greasy and chicken burger was very small for price. Tasty though
l.
Good pub.
O.
Nice atmosphere from the moment you enter the door, tasty food, mostly burgers with a great selection of drinks. Can get fairly loud, but that's to be expected in a good, renovated new pub!
A. W.
For drinks the crumb is nice, slot of beer to choose from and a good selection of gins. For food it is okay, the pizza is good. Bar snacks are okay to.
O. C.
Good place to drink and eat, always busy. Good outside area, heat lamps and that, shame table footy costs a bit. Good in summer or winter. Try their wings
A. B. (.
great pizza , lovely staff a favourite
E. W.
Brilliant pub with the most friendly staff! Nothing is too much trouble. Dog and child friendly too, it's the perfect pub in Caversham!
J. f.
Ok if you like burgers or pizzas as that's the menu with buffalo chicken wings etc.
