J. R.WOW, what an improvement! Since reopening it has become a jolly nice place to come for a drink of an eve. It is bright, crisp and clean and look forward to when the restaurant side opens! Tilehurst has needed a pub like this for years!

D. P.We’ve had some lovely evenings here over the last few years. A different clientele from previous landlords. Range of pints and prices are extremely modest, well worth a visit if you want a nice local pub to walk to. We’ve not eaten here yet, but looking forward to doing so soon.

J. S.The refurbishment is great. The beers are cheaper than the plough and it has a pool table. Recently got sky sports too so there's no contest really. The bar staff are brilliant and even offer table service when it isn't busy. Definitely worth trying
