Reviews of The Six Bells
P. S.
Went for dinner at The Six Bells for the first time last night and it was honestly delightful.
The locals were welcoming and friendly on arrival.
Two for £10 on cocktails on a Friday evening with a great selection of imaginative and decent quality cocktails.
They have a nice selection on the food menu, the chef obviously puts a lot of love into his creations and this reflects in the taste… the tartare sauce was some kind of Witchery going on- it was so good, batter on the fish was light and crispy and the chips were the bomb.
Service was prompt, friendly and just the right level of attentiveness.
Will hopefully return for live music and to try out the locally grown rhubarb and crumble pud!

Lovely pub, we stayed over night to visit friends that live near by. The rooms are newly decorated, clean and great value for money.we had a lovely view from our room looking over fields, very peaceful.Staff are very friendly and helpful. We are looking to return in the summer as there is great walks. Highly recommended 😊

A good menu including meat and plant based options. Conservatory restaurant with pub at one end and an Inn with 4 bedrooms. Food was great. Music from bar a little loud. Lovely waiting staff.

Good food done well. New owners are really putting their all in to reviving this lovely village pub. Still a few tweaks needed but I'll definitely be back! It may be due to Covid, but the single serve sauce sachets were a shame as they are disposable (might be better to decant large bottles into washable pots, per table?) but we enjoyed the burger and the Pimms!

Under new ownership and finally open with a new garden area after numerous lockdowns. I had a King Street APA which was served well and tasty. Didn’t try the food but the menu looks good, fairly priced, excited to try it next time.

Excellent food, excellent ale, friendly staff. Couldn't ask for anything more

Unfortunately inedible starter but main and dessert ok. What used to be a traditional local now ruined by becoming a "bistro pub".
