Really good authentic Indian food, and I'm saying this as someone with Indian heritage, so I don't give my praise lightly! Most of my family have been here at least a couple of times now, and everyone has enjoyed the food. We also noticed that the chef came out and spoke to most of the diners (including us). He was receptive to feedback, and genuinely cares about the food, which is a great sign.

I was expecting us to walk into a old Reading pub and that's what it is, but with Indian food delights!
The team were welcoming and happy for us to bring along our 2 year old to enjoy the evening with us.
The food is fantastic!
You can enjoy the basic Indian recipes, or heat them up with extra spice if you wish.
Refreshing to see the likes of cobra beer sand kingfisher replaced with Doombar Extra cold and other alternatives.
The restaurant side busy from 7, we arrived just before. The pub side had punters enjoying drinks. It works together well.
Our server was a lovely lady who took time to get to know us and our daughter.
We look forward to coming back soon.

This is a very big and popular pub in Reading, situated half way up Waylen Street.
The menue is vast range of Indian cuisine and pub classics.
Table service is fast and staff are approachable.

Great Indian food, menu is expansive and not just standard dishes. Few English dishes if you want that too. Nice atmosphere with outside seating + parking and good drinks

Loved the food on my recent first visit but won't be rushing back, it's a bit expensive for a back street boozer!

Great Indian food and excellent value. The first pint of ale was a bit old and flat. When I questioned it, I was told it was meant to be like that, obviously by a bar man that doesn't drink ale himself. The second (different) pint was fresh and tasty, just as it should be. I've been drinking ale for decades and dont like being told something that is clearly wrong by someone who doesn't know their beer or understands about it getting old. The first pint, although paid for, was left undrunk on the bar. I guess the customer is not always right here.
