Thought we pop in to have a drink while waiting to catch our train back to London. One great thing about The Three Guineas in Reading in the pub there is a live train display which was really helpful. We decided to have a couple more drinks. Excellent service.
V. V.
Beer was good. Some of the seating area outside smelt naff and wasn't clean. The kitchen shut pretty early. Not the best but not the worst. Must have been one of those days.
G. E.
I love a train station pub - very similar to the relaxed feel of an airport with all manner of people there - and Fullers do it superbly
The beer was good but this particular one lacked that comfy vibe
G. P.
Great service, lovely food and all in a beautiful setting, what a fabulous pub in the old ticket office. Highly recommend and will definitely go back 😃
M. D.
Very unique, interesting pub with great beer & food selection. Love the Fuller's railway station pubs like this!
D. G.
Great pub to relax in just outside Reading station. Friendly helpful staff. Platform and train arrival screen in house
P. J.
Nice station pub with outdoor seating (smoking and non-smoking areas). But quite pricey, £6.60 for a pint of Asahi.
B.
For a train station pub/restaurant Three Guineas is not half bad. They tout craft beer on their website and they actually deliver on that promise. If you aren't into the regular British beer types there is a good selection of cans and bottle in the fridge. They also serve some nice bites.
S. J.
The Three Guineas is an establishment connected to the main railway station in Reading and serves a variety of alcoholic beverages along with meals including a full English breakfast. The prices are on the expensive side A full English will set you back £11) but the decor is very good with more than a hint of the railways connection to GWR.
D. P.
Its been a while since ive been to the Three Guineas during which time its had a refit. There is a large selection of beers and ales and is reasonably priced. The Pub is situated right by Reading Railway Station.. and there is even a departure board inside the pub. It really is a nice place to wait for your train.. outside there is plenty of sitting.. where you you can watch the world go by. The one negative is the location of the Toilets.. up a winding stone staircase...i wouldnt like to tackle them after a few beers
J. W.
My friend Amanda’s best experience of this bar was the Xmas tree which was the snake randomly decorated on the side of it. The buy one get one frees were not filled to the top with the martini’s so only a 3 star, also the star at the top of the tree was not as erect as I would Like it to of been.
C. D.
A good pub right beside Reading train station. Kept a lot of its old character. Good selection of beers, wine and food.
S. C.
We had a pleasant afternoon, the food was delicious and the staff we very kind.
M. H.
Great bar great service. Menu looks amazing. Shame we were a bit late to try it
T.
This is a great pub. Plenty of seating outside. Great location. Staff are really good. 👌
R. L.
Really still a railway pub, but now only accessible from outside the station. Being attached though its a good place to wait for a connect and have a drink. Decent selection of beers and live sport shown.
N. C.
Sun was out... No rush for a train. Lovely chill with friends and a beer. Staff very pleasant to.
G. A.
Food was really good, came out quickly and fresh... although slightly over priced for both food and drink, staff we polite and efficient
C. D.
Always a good place to go and have a drink while waiting for the train 🍻😜
S. S.
We ordered Cosmopolitan cocktail which is ment to be with flavoured vodka of absolute and not of smoky flavour of lemon but the guy became nervous and ended up making something different. Only reason of 3 stars is the colour of the drink which was accurate.
S. R.
Can't get a better location for a pub on the concourse to Reading station however this convenience comes at a price. Good selection of Fuller's hand pulled with an extensive choice of wines, spirits and larger. London Pride was kept well, but then it should be for £4.50 a pop!
J. M.
Great staff and service, awful menu at extortionate prices.
This is a pub, next to one of the busiest stations in the UK. Yet tries to offer a limited menu of dishes that are more appropriate for fine dining in London.
Please offer a much more broad selection of food at reasonable prices, and perhaps 80% of your tables at peak trade time wouldn't be empty.
K. K.
This is the station bar at Reading station, but it has a great range of cask and craft beers. Run by Fullers but has a good selection of other beers as well. Very spacious and good atmosphere inside and out. We'll worth a visit even if you're not getting a train !!
A. F.
OK city pub / bar attached to the station. Better range of drinks then most.
J. B.
Nice pub, right on the train station, handy for that last pint before the train. Staff are friendly and quick. Toilets are a mission up the winding stairs and blimey it's pricey
K.
I've been visiting this venue for around 12 years, long before it was the Three Guineas. The venue was massively improved by the revamp and is smart, clean and the Staff are very welcoming. It's also conveniently situated right next to the train station which is a plus for hungry commuters
I recently visited the venue for a lunchtime business meeting and we sat in the outdoor area which is spacious and well presented.
I don't think they were serving food when I visited but will certainly keep my eye out for their menu in future.
W. B.
Great pub for food, drinks and the atmosphere. Dog friendly, with cheerful staff. Great use of the order in app process, which means you can get table service.
N. F.
Change to Fullers from a free house, not bad beers but not the variety as before. However good bar staff.
P.
Amstel draught was good. Staff is friendly.
Always a busy place with a lot of positive vibe
S. N.
Fantastic location just between the two front entrances of Reading train station. They have a very modern ordering system so you can just sit straight down at a table and order/pay from your device, you don't even have to download an app or register with their website. Staff are friendly enough. Drinks are more like London prices- which I'm used to but some people might not be.
J. C.
Food was average. Think they need a more summery menu. No one wants pie and mash or shepherds pie in this heat. Fast service via the app and great location next to station. Good music! Tell staff to smile. We could be in lockdown still :)
r. c.
Wow
Was waiting it's opening time
N as it happened
My 1st impression was straight on th3 varieties of lager n ales draught
Wowly
But they won't serve them until it's 9 smile them
Very much quick n delicate service

A beautiful pub inside, the decor is beautiful.
Food is great and fresh but and this is a big but, the price is astronomical be prepared to pay a huge premium for eating and drinking on railway land.
R. L.
Great service, huge range of gin 🙌
J. B.
Decent. Points off for being in Reading, points added for the close proximity to the quickest way out of Reading.
A. R.
The food is alright but there is not a lot of choice. The staff is friendly and the service is quick.
P. R.
Nice to be back enjoying good company, nice beer and friendly staff.
S. E.
We booked a table for 7 people. It was quiet inside. The staff are quick and efficient. And OMG we had the kilo of chicken wings cannot remember what sauce but they were fresh crispy and sooo flavoursome. I gotta go back for more!
J. W.
From the get go, the Young Woman from Melbourne served me with natural enthusiasm, & Communicated the process of covid friendly service. Asked her who the Manager is to pass on my thanks for her making me feel welcome and relaxed.
Turns out she is one. So the the atmosphere in the pub is in great hands on her shift.
Thanks again Julian ☺️
T. G. N.
Lovely old railway pub , good food & good Ale selection but pricey !
W. H.
Excellent service. Nice Fuller's beer and the pub food is great pub food. The location is handy for the station otherwise I would not go here.
A. P.
Great beer on tap and efficient service
M. P.
Great little pub. Perfect for a quick drink after work. Good collection of beers and good service.
K. G.
Nice pint of Guinness and good chips. Great pub to sit in whilst waiting for your train.
J. R.
Great choice of varied and fresh tasting beers
S. N.
Great pub, conveniently located next to Reading Station. Plenty of outside seating. Good Covid precautions inside.
G. B.
Great selection of ales. Friendly staff too. Just right for a pre travel drink.
M. B.
It's fine as a train station-adjacent pub. In line with that, drinks are overpriced as you'd expect. The staff are very friendly and professional. I haven't eaten here but would say the menu looks nice. However there are dozens of good restaurants not far away on foot.
M. S.
It was a nice place with s nice atmosphere but the food was a bit small scale for a place where I'd expect "pub grub" sorts of offerings. For example someone with us ordered nachos and he got s very fancy looking plate of 4 nachos. I did not taste so maybe that made up for it
J. J.
Nice and close to the station, with outside seating for nice weather. Food was tasty and well cooked, however the portions looked small on a large plate (maybe just perception?). Prices aren't cheap, though. For two small meals and two pints you're looking at £35. I'd expect less (£20-25?) for this type of place.
K. S.
A train station pub which is good enough to visit even if trains are not part of your day. Much nicer now after the refit, but been coming here for 16 years.
Good selection of beers, rarely a bad one but promptly changed without any hassle.
Can get very busy with matches and after work drinks.
W. B.
Didnt like Fullers beer 20 years ago, tastes change... Went out of my way to visit the local Fullers Pub, great selection of beers, staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the beer on tap, offering suggestions. Good mix of of commuters and those on an evening out, will definitely return.
R. R.
It's a much better than average station pub. The food is okay too. Its good for a drink if you've just missed your train. My wife says the wine is good and they do serve Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which is great but costs an arm and a leg.
D. V.
By my opinion this is one of the places that you Must visit if you are passing or staying in Reading. It's on a central place, right next to the Reading train Station. The atmosphere is pleasant and like most of the stuff here genuine. When I got there my first though was "wow, this is an English pub and it's just the way I imagine it". The beer selection is great. Can be found beer for every single taste. The prices are normal compared to the rest of the places I've visited here. Unfortunately didn't have the chance to try the food, but I'm sure it was OK. After all we were there for the beer, not for the food :)
N. P.
Good place to have a drink and bite to eat while waiting for your train. There is a large outdoor area to enjoy when the weather is fine. The bar also displays the departure board so there's unfortunately no excuse to miss your train (shame, as the range of beers and lagers is extensive).
S. ..
Good as it is closest pub to train platforms, selection of ales and other drinks. Queues alike yet not always. Nice beer garden, several rooms, and helpful staff. Helpful place when you're waiting for your train.
T. R.
Great pub with one of the largest on tap beer collections in Berkshire. Ambiance is tremendous. A very pleasant range of snacks / meals. The location is superb with local parking and Reading rail station platforms a 2 minute walk away.
D. L.
Good beer but expensive.
Not enough staff.
D. B.
Always love coming here for the beer selection and comfort
M. G. V.
Nice selection of beers. We just stopped for a couple of ales, and we enjoy our short stop. Service was efficient and attentive, place has good vibe. Location excellent for travelling by train. We will come back when back in town.
S. O. R.
Very nice Victorian style bar and restaurant. Large selection of craft beers and Ales and ciders. Good spot to sit inside or outside plenty space. Situated just next to Reading Railway station. So nice place to meet someone. Or just go for a drink or bite to eat and watch world go by. Taxi rank just out side and in Reading town centre.
G. L.
Great pub, very busy most if the time, a good range of beers and spirits, good outdoor seating are too. Also the is a cellar area which is a great place to for private functions. The Staff are friendly and the drinks are averagely priced.
I. P.
Fantastic venue for a personal wedding experience. Absolutely loved it! What a hidden gem and .... If its not too weird to say. Fab loos!
I'm not sure who did the catering but they managed to create an entire vegan menu and it was insanely tasty!!
J. B.
Busy railway station pub with a very good selection of beers
T. E.
A little pricey but very convenient if any members of your party need to catch a train. The downstairs seating area (firefly rooms?) are pretty cool and offer somewhere quieter to enjoy drinks with friends. Food here is also very good.
T. R.
Only stopped for a quick pint before catching a train but chose here as it had a particular beer that is hard to find on draft.
K. B.
Bought a pint that wasn't quite up to spec. Without blinking an eye Jayden explained it wasn't what a lot of people expected from the pint and took me through the other pints on tap to find one I'll enjoy.
In his words "I don't want you to sit here drinking a pint you don't enjoy that you paid a good amount of money for..."
Second pint was lovely and I was so surprised at his service that I did something I never normally do - came on here to review!
Prices a little steep (4 instead of 5 stars) but the place obviously prides itself on its quality and service.
Very impressed and happy to return.
D. S.
Friendly atmosphere, very nice staff.
R. D.
The bar is convenient for anyone with time to wait before their train, it was convenient for me as I was staying right behind the station however its a bar with no atmosphere and even if you go in every night after work for and order the same kind of beer the staff make no attempt to talk or get to know a regular face.
A good barman\woman always knows who's waiting to be served and in what order unfortunately this didn't always apply in The 3 Guineas and I stopped using the bar after the barman served a large crowd of people in front of me as if I didn't exist. Just as I was about to leave did another barman come and serve me but the damage was done and I will not return.
P. J.
Loud , nice beer, toilets upstairs are annoying
s. c.
This pub has been a feature of Reading Station for as long as i can remember and has some great history.
The 4 stars are for the food and service, which were excellent.
I did rather find myself missing the station pub I knew and loved for just another gastro-pub revamp.
a.
Really improved over the years. Great choice of beers (real ale, lagers and ciders) large outdoor area. Perfect meeting spot but we often don't venture further, it's a cracking spot.
G. V.
Very convenient Fuller's pub right next to Reading main station. Good place to meet and a handy stop if you are waiting for a train. They also serve food if you can stay longer. Its not the cheapest, but that dissuades the type of person who might otherwise hang around a pub next to a station spoiling the experience for other customers. The bar staff are fairly vigilant in this respect too. The range of beers is always good, improved further by Fuller's takeover of the Dark Star brewery. NB They have wines, ciders spirits etc, but my main interest is beer!
s. B.
Good beer and nice decor
S. C.
Food was great after we ran the gauntlet of the security. Thank goodness for the manageress who realised we were not hooligans. Apparently if two of you have been to a football match then you are not allowed in. If you are part of a stag do that has been drinking since 10am and have been to Ascot then you are welcome.
That aside some fantastic gins and well worth a visit.
R. C. (.
I was expecting a Wetherspoons as to Google it turned out to be a Fullers.
The food was a bit overpriced with what appeared to be a limited menu.
The food when it arrived was all Fresh from a local supplier. - Owertons? - Extremely tasty. For a family looking for a cheap bite on a limited budget. Nope. Special occasions, single, couples or with friends, yes.
The venue has a good atmosphere and the kitchen staff, professional. Very clean and well presented and with character.
🤘

We're travellers from Brighton and have really enjoyed our time here. We've even decided to skip our next train and spend another hour at Three Guineas.
We have had 5 of the small plates and all of them were delicious. I have read a lot of complaints about the quantity but i believe it's just the right amount. Cannot compare with other prices in Reading but they are roughly the same as a good gastro-pub in the South East.
Alcohol did feel a bit too expensive.
Overall, a good pub. Definitely worth a go.
Y. T.
Very pricey beers but the place, garden, inside and even the toilets look very nice... Try their original Frontier beer, its the best...
A. R.
Probably the best station pub I've ever been to. Great selection of interesting beers. Nicely decorated. Staff are good. And they do a high quality breakfast.
L. m.
Great place
Service is Excellent
Friendly Staff.
O. H.
Decent place to while away time waiting for trains that may or may not turn up. Breakfast was very nice, atmosphere a bit muted but I guess it would be in the morning. Decent size and very clean and tidy.
M. M.
We dropped in after getting stuck at reading for a little while due to storm ciara. Although busy the gentleman minding our table was excellent throughout our meal and warned us of the delay on orders and the meal came within the timeframe and was absolutely delicious.
If you like crispy squid and chilli jam you have to go for it. Hummus was great too as well as our mains.
Customer service isn't always at such a high level in a high pressured environment but we had phenomenal service today and I wanted to ensure I fed this back.
It had been a stressful day and our visit was a little Oasis on the day. Thank you to chefs and all staff :))
S. G.
Good pub in the center of reading right next to the Main reading railway line. We watch the England football match. I really enjoyed watch the football and having a few drinks in this pub. It was a bit price for drinks or i cheaper but would recommend this pub.
K. p.
Very comfy pub to spend time in whilst waiting for change of train at Reading. Ask the guard to let you out but you can use your ticket to re enter. Good food with a nice special board.
B.
Nice enough pub, but every time I'm in there the bar queue is nuts. Like 15-20 mins to get each round in.
I've only been in a few times though, almost exclusively in the evenings in the past few weeks. Not sure if they had a shortage of bar staff lately or if it's always like that.
S. M.
Really nice space since the refurbishment. There's a good selection of beers (Fuller's) and the hire space downstairs is really well done. A good space to stop before catching the train or waiting for someone.
J. R.
Surprised by the quality of this as I recall it being a humdrum station pub. Proper Fullers flagship pub almost on a par with the Parcel Yard. Only had light bites (a wee bit too light for the price). Toilet seat broken. Otherwise all good.
k. M.
Good friendly staff good selection of beer /ale on tap slightly watery tasting on tap diet pepsi but wine was pleasent. Good selection of Vegan options for food (though I am not I noticed)
H. A.
Good selection of beers and lagers and pleasant staff.
N. D.
I would have given 5 stars as the food I had was excellent. I ordered the buttermilk chicken dish. I asked for this without the bun. It appeared that because I did not want the bread they assumed I also did not want the bacon marmalade or alioli which should have accompanied the dish. I was not given these as a side to accompany my food.
A. P.
For a station pub this one is very nice actually.
Lots of outdoor space, good selection of draft beers and cider.
Haven't tried the food yet but it always looks very nice.
H. C.
Great pub with great beer. Albeit a tad expensive
G. G.
A fantastic pub to have a swift half before your journey at Reading, such a really historical looking theme
J. c.
Nice after a train journey
J. C.
Love this place for a beer after work
G. H.
My friend celebrated her Birthday at the Three Guineas and service was excellent and our dietary needs were acted upon. Our waitress was kind and attentive to us too.
Pub managers shojld treasure good staff. It will repay you.
I throughly recommend here.
A. M.
The pub on the exit of Reading station. It is actually inside the station but the entrance of the pub is outside the gates. Plenty of space and friendly staff. No need to worry about missing the train as you can literally see the platforms from the pub
B. J.
It's nice, but pricey.
G. C.
Nice pint of London pride
J. B.
Great choice of real ales did not eat but the menu was an interesting read. Will definitely give it another visit. Helpful staff remember I have a disability Scooter.
K. M.
Had late breakfast here Sunday 8th December before going to see the Panto. Fab breakfast, lovely old pub, service good. Will be returning on 5th January for lunch.
A. L.
Great place, very handy but I work in London and occasionally pop in here while waiting for local train. Prices are higher than much of central London though so don't stay long. Yet to try the food.
w. t.
A pub that's close to the reading train station. With a window that looks over the tracks it sells its train athtetic very well. Friendly staff and good food. Relatively expensive because it's close to the station however, convenient for the price.
S. C.
Nice pub for a drink or two, it's been improved a lot over the years. Good selection of beers and now gins too, a nice outdoor seating area (weather permitting).
B. P.
Recently refurbished so it's now much nicer, although still overpriced for a drink.
L. J.
Absolutely lovely little bar.
Ideal meeting place right by the station. Plenty of outdoor seating and good selection of beers .
Charming find for a quick tipple.
N. M.
Lost a bit of its old spit and sawdust charm since being renovated. A fine selection of lagers and ales and a massive choice of gins. Not a bad boozer for a station pub
S. M.
It's a great pub. It was refurbished less than a year ago. Really nice design.
Good food and good price.
The chicken burger was delicious and the chips really nice and tasty.
m.
Pretty good mate. Good food and I like the atmosphere due to the people there being quiet and if they are loud they get shouted at to "fack off" pretty good in general. No noise. No complaints. No people swearing. No people being no headsime the good ole wngilsh boys we are eh lads. Now who's up for a good day of clubbing lads llets goo but let's go here first okay
J. S.
Always a good place to visit on the way home
M. P.
Bar staff were great. Floor staff, wearing red, were rude.
D. R.
Great beer and snacks
A. R.
Love this pub at Reading station. Brilliant when the weather is hot. Cool to sit outside.
M. I.
Great place to enjoy refreshments between trains. Nice ales, a good selection of gin, and there's a cellar bar where you can drown your sorrows quietly-in the dark-if the missus has dumped you-by text-and you need time to decide what train to catch next-or not-as the case may be.
T. C.
Good range of drinks and a kind of iconic institute in Reading.
Very expensive though and usually poor service/long queues.
Great location for travelers though and I'll keep returning for the odd pre travel drink
P. W.
This is a normal stop off when we come to Reading. Ideal if you have to wait for your train as it's part of the old railway station buildings. You can't walk into the platform like you could but it's a very short walk and you are on the main area close to either platforms towards London (Waterloo and Paddington) or destinations in the south, north or west. A range of beers available. Prices are in line with the rest of Reading.
B. P.
Lovely selection of gin if that's your thing. The chef's specials are a real treat. But eye watering prices on the drinks. Most expensive outside of London I'd say.
C. H.
First time visiting Three Guineas in three years as connecting train was delayed on way back from work, has really picked up a lot, especially with its refurbishment. Food was delicious, staff were warm and welcoming, great selection of ales. Not the cheapest of pubs, but definitely worth it.
S. C.
Great little starting pub for the night. It gets really busy (for good reason) so its best to leave after around 6pm if you plan on staying out all night otherwise the hordes might get a little tiresome.
W. R.
A very nice pub at Reading station, been there for lunch, when waiting for my Newport train. The mushroom risotto is very good. Lots of character.
D. W.
Good selection of beverages on draught and by the bottle. Nice outside space to enjoy the sunshine with pint in hand. Little pricey but is due to the location.
T. K.
For a pub right next to a city(ish) station it's got every right to be basic. It's not though, they make the effort. Lovely toilets, beer prices not unacceptable.
d. g.
Standard train station pub. A little over priced and often quite crowded, but there is a lot of seating outside and the decor inside is nice. Good selection of beers and ales and a lot of gin!
D. S.
I only ever visit for a drink so couldnt comment on the food but they have a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices but service has never been the best on any visit. Seem to have enough staff just doesnt seem to be any system. Go if you arent in a rush
W. G. S.
Should have bought a beer but bought a coffee. UK just don't do coffee well. Tea, yes, coffee, no. And so expensive. Rip off Britain thats for sure. £3 for a watery coffee in a cup thats too big? And then the police are hovering around for potential terrorists and other ne'er-do-wells, so it's not very relaxing. At least the train station is only 50feet away.
J. B.
Great pub and brilliant private event basement
A. R.
Cheaper than other Reading bars and ideal before you dash for the train!! Staff always friendly in the last few year that i have been sober enough to remember.
T. J.
Handy for railway station. Liked al fresco facilities. Average food. Small portion and expensive. One small bottle of Tonic water @2.55 sounds pretty costly to me.
B. C.
Great selection of beers and lagers, serve coffee and hot chocolate too. One of the nicer railway bars. Good food menu.
D. W.
Overpriced and wouldn't accept My CAMRA membership but where your situated ya gonna make the money
e. s.
The renovations are superficial at best. They would have been better off investing in a bit more staff training and stocking up the bar. Sloppy service and sub-par food. A3 minute walk would get you to far better establishments.
n. g.
Great location next to the station, thus, a bit overpriced. But good in all other aspects. Large variety of ales. Good, although standard, British bar food.
R. W.
Nice pub and always busy as near the station. They do a really nice Sunday roast but prices are high . Good selection of alcohol.
S. T.
Great location. Reasonable prices. Friendly efficient staff. Inviting atmosphere. Good choices on the menu. What more can you ask for.
M. S.
I have never had a 'bad' pint at the Three Guineas - they really know how to keep their Real Ales. And as it is on the station premises - very handy for a 'quick one' before catching your train! The food is not bad either.
A. G.
Very convenient stop if you have a long wait at Reading. Only had drinks here but good selection of beers and gin for the right price given its location.
T. R.
Had a really great breakfast here Friday. Good quality food. Lovely coffee in a cup not a mug and helpful staff
J. R. (.
Great place but toilets are to far upstairs :(
m. g.
As station pubs go, the Guineas isnt bad, it's well laid out, the down stairs is quite cool, food is surprisingly okay, so as a rendezvous point its worth a visit.
M. P.
Efficient, well stocked, great food, great location...and the London Pride is great on-tap! Well worth passing through between train connections, or spending the whole afternoon there😇!
M. C.
Came here last Thursday a d no soap in men's loos. Came here today (5 days later) and still no soap. Apart from that the beer selection is superb and it has a good vibe.
I. J.
Good beer. Nice venue. Great when waiting for a train, except you'll probably miss it, have another beer and miss the next one too...
K. V.
Perfect place for hangout before catching trains. There are displays available to track status of your train while you enjoy the food
P. K.
Nice pub good service
S. M.
I like the parcel yard, less so the mad bishop this is more of the same. Good station pub, but not a destination drinkery. That's not a bad thing though
E. P.
Lovely pub, beautiful decor and friendly staff. BUT, ridiculously expensive. £4 something for a pint, and over £10 for a double rum and Pepsi.
C. W.
Nice pub, fair amount of seating, TV's with the train times displayed, staff; nice and friendly from my experiences, not the cheapest place, but when is anything at a train station.
S. W.
Great evening spent at this location
S.
This is a great pub as its connected to the train station, has indoor and outsoor seating and an amaizing basement venue. If you have never been downstairs then take a look as its like a nightclub.
c. b.
Nice pub always friendly and helpful it's a pleasure to pop in to when I'm reading .. has good food.. if in reading at any time pop you will not be disappointed..
l. p.
Nice pub good service nice pint
J. W.
Good beer, quick service, decent food and a decent bar team.
D. S.
Recently had a refit. Much nicer inside with a classic return to its former glory days refit. Nice outdoor seating even if not a smoker.
E. D.
Nice pub with big beer garden. Rather expensive but not surprising given its proximity to the train station, and not a huge range of drinks available
P. F.
Wow, this place has changed. Food lovely, great beer selection, private bar for hire. Tastefully refurbished. Would recommend.
M. R.
It's ok as a pub by the train station. Often overcrowded when sporting events are taking place in town. The place has outside tables, which makes it one of the fewest places in Reading with such luxury!
B.
Good customer service. Nice atmosphere. Generally nice drinking pub. Food looked nice but didnt eat there
I. M.
Great renovation of a lovely building now full of light with an improved outside area. Great choice of beer. Haven't eaten but food looks good.
J. B.
Nice food and great staff! We ordered food for takeaway today and even though they didn't ordinarily provide this, the staff made it happen - and were really friendly too!
K. M.
Good bar situated in Brunel's original Reading railway station. Superb outdoor seating area. Quite pricey
M. B.
Good renovation. Kept many of the original features of this historic railway building. Good selection of beers and food as well.
D. F.
Busy of course and expensive, plus you have to get the app working for table service. Service is good.
P. H.
Ok for a quick refresh as its so close and convenient to the station. Beer was expensive and lacks atmosphere with staff that aren't that happy looking.
A. S.
Quite expensive, even by Reading's standards, probably because of it's proximity to the train station, but they do have a good selection of drinks, and the food is very nice.
D. T.
Nice place for a drink if you're at the station or outside if it's sunny. The price of a gin and tonic will makes your eyes water!!
C. H.
Good beer, Great beer garden in front of the station. Check out the cellar bar (especially when it's busy upstairs!) Foods pretty good too
C. B.
Station pub but loads of beers and very quick service - good place to meet up for beers and a chat if you have friends spread around the south
B. S.
Nice food and very lively atmosphere
K. M.
Great people watching spot at the station. Big bar, no waiting and friendly atmosphere. If you're around the station, getting a train or not, worth a visit
T. D.
Great pub at a train station and the food wad surprisingly good. Been a few times and the standards are always the same
B. L.
Expensive, far better bars in Reading close to the train station at better prices
A. W.
This pub used to be a dive, so first time using in a few years, what a transformation, light and airy, great beer and friendly staff will use again when I'm next in Reading
O. S.
Good selection of beers and very conveniently placed near Reading station... only downside is that beers are a bit on the pricey side
D. C.
I love having a pint here before heading home.
M. T.
It's a Fuller's pub next to the station. So prices are inflated. But the beer and service are good.
T. C.
We had someone leaving work and we spent the evening in the cellar bar. The guy serving drinks was so pleasant and helpful. Great night.
C. B.
Good place, but a bit crowded.
J. W.
Some of the best food I have eaten! Amazing chef. Lovely atmosphere and amazing service. Great team and great place to be!
A. M.
Good pub, range of drinks, some well priced and others quite expensive. Can't comment on the food but there is a full menu.
W. L.
Really like the refurbished bar. The cellar rooms downstairs are perfect for private events. A great experience overall.

Station pub with Fullers. Decent fish and chips. Gets very crowded on occasion. OK to get a pint when your train is late.

Overpriced because of the location but worth a visit for the history. They have some interesting architectural drawings around. It's like drinking in a museum :)
S. O.
Station pubs are usually best avoided but this is a really good one. A bit pricey but the beer is excellent.

D. W.
Good pub good prices - great for a quick pint before/after a train journey
S. W.
Lovely food but wine is on the expensive side. After all it is a pub not a restaurant. £19 is the cheapest bottle of white wine available.

M. O.
Good large pub. Lots of seating area and seemingly good range of beers.
v.
