Utterly beautiful. Wine list was amazing and with plenty of choices. Food menu was simple but divine, we had a pizza each which was a little more than we could handle leaving a little bit, but devoured what we could, fabulous flavour. Our waiter made us feel very welcome and kept us entertained. Atmosphere in there was wonderful, everyone settled but energetic, couldn't stop smiling. Will go back in a heartbeat 😁

Great wine bar, nothing like it in Reading currently. The servers have a good knowledge of their wine selection and can make brilliant suggestions based on what you like or what you have already enjoyed on the menu. Good food selection, enjoyed the meat and cheese selection for 2 as seen in the photos here. Not the cheapest but worth it for the quality.

Loved this wine bar. 3 mins walk from the station with the most excellent service. They also had a fantastic range of wine which I very much enjoyed. The food looked good too. I cannot repeat too many times how amazing the service was.

This place was in my wish list for long time! The food was very nice, unfortunately the website says they have more food but when you get there, they just got very basic things, probably for covid, but what we ate was nice so I will come back. The wine were really nice and next time I will try some meats and cheeses. And of course cocktails! Very good and quick service. Nice terrace and beautiful decoration.

We had a really good night here. Hired an area for a birthday so had good space. The staff were awesome, James particularly was a rockstar in terms of service, the guys making cocktails were great too. The drinks were good, well made cocktails. All in all a great night.

Came here for an antipasti and wine tasting selection evening with friends. Spread was tasty and reasonably priced - the mozzarella is particularly good. As would be expected the range of wines offered is great! A good place for a cosy catch up with friends, a date, and a sophisticated start to a night on the tiles in Reading.

Went with my gf and her family to Veenos for their "Trip to Sicily" tasting session. We had 5 wines, (2 Red, 2 White, 1 Rose) and a tasting board with a food paired to a specific wine. The manager knew all about the history/flavour of all the wines selected. Was a great evening but definitely order more bread if this is your dinner!

Friendly service, chilled music, cold beer. On a very hot summer afternoon it was a relief to find this place and enjoy a refreshing couple of pints of the house larger. Will head back soon to try out their food as well.

Staggeringly bad service, but a good selection of wines at very decent prices, and nice food. After being shown our table we were left for a good 10 mins without being offered any drinks or menus. I had to go to the bar to order a bottle. The waitress then had no idea about the January offer (free bottle of house when you order a platter) despite it being all over their website. When then choosing another bottle of wine, she tells us it's best if we read the descriptions because she has "no idea" about any of them. In a wine bar that offers a wine tasting menu!! Anyway, it came to £100 for 1 bottle of prosecco, 3 bottles of wine, a large sharing platter, bread and two slices of chocolate cake, so not all bad if you don't mind a bit of neglect with your Bordeaux.

We had the Italian Afternoon Tea. A lovely selection of panini, meats, and cakes. All tasted freshly made and very tasty! Friendly staff make Veeno a good place to visit. The only thing that let it down slightly was the mascarpone cheese served instead of clotted cream with the scones. I know it's an Italian cream tea, but clotted cream is so much nicer!

Nice cocktails and decent pizzas at above average but still reasonable prices. Had 4 cocktails and 2 pizzas for £62. Could do better with Covid safety - waiters didn't wear masks and I couldn't see much potential for distancing. Luckily was a quiet night, but if you are concerned I would avoid on busy evenings. On quiet evenings it should be ok on the terrace, but wear your own mask.

One of the best places to go for a drink in Reading. Nice seating both inside and out. Glass of wine is quite pricey if you want anything other than the house. Has a cheese board which did not have enough quantity or substance for the price in my opinion.

Afternoon tea is not worth going for, but really enjoyed the cocktails and the ambience. Apparently there was tea/coffee but saw no sign of it with the rolls, scones and cakes, felt very much like they decided for us that 2 lots of everything was enough for 3 people, it was but since 2 slices of lemon tart and 2 canolly doesn't really split well, just a wee bit disappointing. And unfortunately the scones were clearly shop bought, definitely not worth £18 per person. However staff were extremely lovely, no complaints there.

We always have a great time at Veeno! We’ve done their wine tastings a few times and been just for drinks and their amazing platters. The team there are so friendly and knowledgeable and we are always so impressed. Would really recommend a visit.

Lovely food and drink, and a great atmosphere in the outside area. However, rather bizarrely we were told that while we could drink and we could eat pizza outside, but if we wanted the meat and cheese platter (which we did), we absolutely had to move inside to eat it. 4 stars for the food and drink, 2 stars for the COVID unfriendly rules.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Four of us were bought a wine tasting experience for what I believe was a very reasonable cost for what you get. From start to finish we were blown away by the wine and how they paired it with this huge board of meats, cheeses and breads. But what really made the experience a 5 out of 5 night was our host, George. He was so engaging, passionate about the wine and had time to chat to us and make us feel extremely special...he even converted one of our group to actually drink and like red wine, which was a first for that particular person!! Thank you Veeno and thank you George...we will be back!!!

Came back here a second time around and unfortunately the service was painfully slow. As we walked in we were warned that the food would take 40 mins to come through but it wasn't until an hour and a half that we got our meal. We ordered breadsticks with chili jam and aubergine panelle for starters followed by ham crepes and nduja pizza for mains. Food was very average, i guess its a good place to come by for some good wine and chit chat. Wouldn't recommend Veenos if you're coming here for a meal.

I love Veeno, it's a great place to go with friends either for drinks or a nice meal. It's not too loud so you can enjoy nice conversations and relax. Last time I was there they had completely ran out of rosé and a lot of the food on the menu that I wanted, but we still had a nice time and the pizza i did get was delicious.

Wine was good,food was great, unfortunately the service did not quite match as they were not ready for us even though we had booked in advance had got the booking wrong with the amount of people, brought the wrong food to our table, brought the wrong wines to our table but once everything was correct the experience was a good one. huge down was booking on a Saturday late afternoon at 4:30pm it got quite busy and very noisy so we were struggling to hear what the sommelier was telling us about the wines

So what started off as a bad taste in my mouth not due to staff but Veenos online booking policy before even getting through the door actually turned out to a fantastic evening, and this was all down to George and his hospitality, humour, wit and charm. What a host George was. From start to to finish the attention to detail and enthusiasm for his job was outstanding. Will definitely be going back to experience it all again.

Nice wine bar near Forbury Square. Interesting selection of wines, lots from Sicily. Great food platters of cheese, meats, salami etc. Also Menabrea lager and Peroni for those who don't drink wine. Nice atmosphere and good service. The chilli pecorino cheese is excellent. I was told that the wine flights of three different wines with tasting notes were very good.

Veeno is slightly different for Reading and its a good thing. It feels more of a City place than a town establishment, nestled in the business part of town, its an Italian Wine bar, with rustic Italian food and a fantastic selection of wines. Service is good, staff and engaging and the ambiance works well, enough of a buzz to seem lively, but not too much that you cant have a conversation. Nice for a couple , with friends or on business.

Great place to drink some wine and eat a selection of cheese and charcuterie. Their own Sicilian wine is probably the best way to go here, although other wines you might recognise are also available. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is our current favourite.

Good selction of wine and liqueurs. If you are Italian you will feel at home, if you are not Italian, you will have a real taste of Italy. Service is mediocre. When the waiter served the wine he didn't let anyone taste it before and this is quite strange especially is it is a wine place... Desserts not super amazing I must say. I was quite disappointed about the "Tartufo" (the one from Pizzo is another story) and about the "Ricotta & Pera".
