Reviews of The Bridge, Shoreham
Walking from Worthing to Brighton and found this absolute gem on the way. The very small bar can lead to longer wait times but this place is all about:
1 - the amazing beer garden overlooking the water. Loads of great seating plus a huge covered area is the weather ain't so great. Plus they play fab Ibiza chill out music giving it a very cool vibe.
2 - great food. Had a friend chicken and bacon sandwich. Honestly one of the best I've had! Juicy chicken in a light crispy coating in a light and crispy ciabatta. Great menu with plenty of specials too. They really make an effort.
3 - smiley, happy, service. There was a young guy in charge who was just on it. All the staff were on point and managed to keep on top of a big crowd of groups, families and couples.
We'll be back !!!
Called in for a couple of beers late on a Wednesday evening. Busy in the garden, reasonably quiet in the bar. Nice atmosphere, mainly young people. Two pints of perfect Guinness. Barman was saying we should try the food sometime as it is so good. Will be back.
Excellent steak meal. Perfect pints of Hophead and ESB. Friendly efficient staff.
Wow!!! So much to say...
Firstly the setting: the garden is a great space, full of character and charm and little warm snugs.
Then there's the service: the staff are lovely, happy and can't do enough for you. Even with masks their eyes all smile.
And of course it was all about the food: totally delicious, loads of vegan and gluten free options!! A vegan roast dinner, gluten free chocolate brownie and a lovely bottle of Cab Sav to accompany.
A magic place that seems to be thriving, well done everyone involved. We'll be back I'm sure next time we are feeling flush!
Thank you xx
Oh and it's very dog friendly to boot :)
I used to live in Shoreham and come here a lot. Tonight was ok but nothing special. Too bright inside - no music and the decor is a bit shabby. Food was ok but over priced. The outside looks good but is all kids. Shame as it was once a nice pub. Turn the lights down and the music up the place would be massively improved.
Just popped in for a drink, but service was excellent and a lovely setting to sit and enjoy a drink. If I'm in the area again will definitely have a meal. The food looked really good.
Good ales and drinks choice. Nice outside area and choice of food. We always have mussels here...and these are supurb.
Two of us attended for a meal this evening and ordered two starters (gambas pil pil & calamari) , two mains (2x steaks) and two glasses of wine.
We had the most delicious food and absolutely wonderful service.
Would highly recommend.
Especially Monday- Thursday when they have offers on the main courses.
OK place Nice view of the river but didn't have the beers I liked That's still worth a visit
went with 3 friends and sat outside which was very comfortable and pretty. Food was great and the staff were friendly. Very lovely lunch and will definitely be back.
Celebrated a milestone birthday in the snug. Fantastic service, attentive staff. Couldn't of asked for a more enjoyable day. Thank you 🙏
This is a lovely pub with lovely views of the River in Shoreham!! The staff are helpful and friendly and u buy your drinks then they come and serve you at your table! We had the Chicken and Pesto Sourdough bread sandwiches with chips, they were very nice and filling! The atmosphere is relaxed and happy!
Enjoyed my lunch the fishcakes tasted very good. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Good food, amazing friendly service, value for money all in all worth a visit. Eaten several different times at this venue, always enjoyed the food. The pie of the day is always packed with what ever filling. Atmosphere is always good day or evening. Well worth a visit!
First visit; very good impression of this fine, old place. Don't remove the older features please!
There was a mix up over date of our booking, but all sorted with charm and wit.
Nearly everything we ate from the generously portioned smoked Mackerel pate on sourdough, to the chocolate fondant and fruit crumble was said to be made in house. One of us needed sausages v well cooked- perfectly done. Unfortunately the sound system was v near us, so the slightly deaf among us found that hard going.
Service was impeccable, friendly and helpful.
We will defo return on a summer's evening to sit outdoors, overlooking the estuary
Parking is limited, so best park elsewhere and walk.
I wasn't expecting much from the outside but they are hiding a beautiful riverside view, great to watch boats, kayaks and SUPs go by. Nice English beers too!
Think this place is a bit hit and miss, unfortunately! Came for lunch on a Thursday. Not busy at all.
A Friend recommended this place as she had been some time before and raved about it! I understand new owners have taken over.. What can I say, lovely setting and a great outside space with free parking for a few cars! That's the upside out the way, where should I start for the rest?
The food took ages to arrive.. When it did, Coffee was lukewarm, had to send it back. Calamari was over cooked. Sent it back!
The King Prawn half pint was more like a shrimp ! No lie, wish I'd taken a picture.. No finger bowl either, no hot cloth. Nothing to clean your fingers with.
The Burger I ordered was ok, salad was a bit limp! Bun was hard, I could knock the table with it!
Others at my table had some problems with the wrong food turning up!
Staff not very attentive.
Manager did resolve a couple of issues for us!
Took a while to find someone so we could pay our bill or even order more beverages.
Toilets were clean enough however, one toilet out of order. The toilet in operation, had a broken seat, so when you sat, you went flying!
Would I say these are teething problems? Not sure! ?
Would I risk another meal and my hard earned money, I doubt it!
Shame really because it's got a lot of potential! Hope they get it together!
I honestly give good reviews for good food and service!
Went for Sunday lunch and it didn't disappoint. Had the ciabatta sandwich version of the roast which was the meat and sauce of your choice in a delicious sandwich with roast potatoes on the side. Absolutely perfect of you don't fancy a full roast and only half the price.
Love this place, outdoor area full of comfy sofas and seating areas overlooking the river. Haven’t tried at nighttime but have heard it’s beautiful, will definitely come back.
I visited on a busy back holiday weekend when only outdoor seating was allowed due to covid restrictions. The Bridge has a glorious view which was understandably in demand. Nonetheless, I barely waited for a table, and while the service was a little slow, the staff were attentive and friendly. The Sunday roast was delicious! I had a lovely time and look forward to stopping by again the next time I'm in the area.
This place is great! It was our first time here and we were made to feel very welcome. We booked an outside snug area, well made and had personal heater. The service was quick but not pushy. The food was great quality with a good amount to choose from. Would highly recommend and will be returning very soon :)
Lovely food and atmosphere, slightly ruined by the waitresses’ continued reminders that we only had the table till a certain time, started to get annoying and felt like we were being watched. Then when we asked for the bill she took ages. Apart from that food was great
Food was basically ok. Things tasted ok, but some of the veg was very undercooked e.g roast parsnips hard in the middle. Veggie options were kinda limited, and my avocado toast was really basic and slightly unimpressive e.g. menu says charred sweetcorn, got cold wet tinned kernels. Atmosphere was ok, and they've clearly worked hard to provide a covid-safe outside dining area. Some of the waiting staff seemed very young and very inexperienced, but were super friendly and attentive.
The food is excellent! The atmosphere is lively and jolly. They are dog and child friendly, there's a gorgeous outdoor area that overlooks the river perfect for warm Sunday afternoons. Great selection of beers and wine. The landlady is lovely, and always makes a little fuss over the kids(which of course they love). Great for a big party, a wedding, even a cheeky weekday lunch. Last time I had a steak and it was cooked to perfection! They do lovely fresh seafood too. The mussels are divine. Best dessert is the Eton Mess. It's gorgeous and light and perfect after a bug lunch. Bathrooms are always clean and tidy. I don't know what else to say. Oh, always book on a Sunday. They fill up fast.
The Bridge is a lovely pub with great views and location we visited last week and meet the new general manager who couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome and discussed the new features that the pub has to offer but we revisited this week and from the off could tell the general manager wasn’t there it wasn’t busy there were groups of people on tables larger than 6 we were there for over two hours and having to wait for over 45 minutes for your drink after reminding the team twice we were waiting was enough we left the team were very apologetic and blamed it on being busy which I wouldn’t have had as issues with but it did seem that there was plenty of staff but just not organised.
It was a shame being local we were looking forward to many more visits but with the options that shoreham offer we will try them first.
The 5 stars are a relation to our first visit.
Beer is never that great, but it's the views over the river that bring you back. Plus, in the last year they have revamped the beer garden so half of it is covered and heated booths and lounge
Pleasant and friendly staff. Busy time so a little slow but weather and River Adur more than compensated. Very pleasant ambiance, enjoyed London Pride, Prosecco and crisps.
Delicious food and lovely staff.
Good food, and for first time tried out one of the garden cabins to eat in... great idea when weather's not ideal for sitting outside. Also, Gale's HSB !!! This is getting hard to find these days thanks to Fullers' bizarre marketing strategies.
Food is great+great value. Care is always taken. Good choice of fresh specials with a solid printed menu. I have eaten here at least 20 times and have not had a bad meal. £50 for 2 people with 2 drinks 2 courses...
Service is excellent, friendly and prompt. My favourite place for food in Shoreham. Sunday roasts are great. Plus their nut roast is excellent. ( I am not a veggie either) plus the pork crackling is excellent too...
I was pleasantly surprised by this pub! Popped in with my husband on a whim and will definitely be back. We ordered sweet potato chips while we sat in the garden - and the sauce it came with and chips were delicious! We really loved that the garden overlooks the river and thought the little beach huts were a fun addition.
Always walked past this pub, but it has a lovely outside area looking out across the Adur and we bagged a little private hut last Sunday which was perfect! Nice roast, attentive service even though they were busy and all covid safe for us. Good job :-)
Fantastic pub garden for the winter, large canopy over the whole garden with lots of comfy seating and lots of heaters. Drinks are expensive but a great atmosphere
Had a lovely dinner in there. The steak was cooked perfectly. The staff were really helpful. It was outside cold and uncomfortable but that was not their fault.
Superb service, lovely food, cosy shelters outdoors overlooking Shoreham estuary in Sussex as the sun set
Very busy, but on a lovely evening good to be able to sit outside, long queue for drinks
It was a lovely lunch and very friendly staff. The little snugs are cosy and you don't feel on top of each other. So pretty to look out over the water.
Superb location, though can be hard to find parking without a walk. Garden overlooking the estuary, always busy in good weather, and there was a 40 minute wait for the fish pie, which was nice when it arrived. Lots of fish specials on the blackboards.worth a try.
Fantastic garden on the river which can be used all year round. Food usually excellent and a good choice of drinks
Absolutely beautiful place inside and outside astonishing we were greeted by a beautiful young lady with long blonde hair then served by a lovely young man called Jack impeccable mannered and so friendly also by a very professional young lady called Anya such a kind warm welcome she went above and beyond and the food wow delicious drinks service outstanding will be definitely back recommend to all my friends and family, 🙏
Bit hit and miss, eaten here a few times, usually very good but last two visits long ,long wait and below par food, looked short staffed so will continue to frequent hopefully return to usually high standard
My last review gave only two stars due to the loud yobby atmosphere at weekends but last week I took friends to eat there during in the week and it was a lot more pleasant until someone brought a dog in, off its lead and loudly barking, which totally destroyed the atmosphere for eating. The food was very good so 3 stars but sadly The Bridge has a problem with some of the people who use it. It is a great shame.
Not the ideal place to break down but the best place while waiting to be rescued
Good food, a particularly fair price at this time.
Nothing fancy but generous and well presented.
Make sure you tip double to the staff seeing as you're getting it at half price.
Had lunch with friends which was delicious. Staff very friendly & helpful. A good time had by all
The BRIDGE INN
IS A FRIENDLY ''CHILLED" PUB
.STAFF VERY GOOD, WITHOUT BEING OVER THE TOP.
MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND.
TWO SIDES..I SAT IN THE LOUNGE SIDE, HAD TIME TO RELAX.
THE MENU LOOKS EXCELLENT & I SAMPLED SEA FOOD SANDWICH, WHICH WAS AS FRESH AS YOU LIKE!
REAR VIEWS EXCELLENT.
A PUB/RESTAURANT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Lot's of places to lounge & eat. Some vegan options noted, including soya for coffee.
Surprisingly very big inside, lovely outside seating area, excellent food.
We were recommended this pub and we think the management has changed. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help us. The food was average.
Good atmosphere and good food accompany riverside views in one of the best places to go out in Shoreham by Sea. Their choice of beers is good and the bar staff are friendly. Definitely worth a visit, sit in the garden on a nice sunny day!
Very good food and great service. The garden rooms are nice and very warm!
Would definitely recommend it
Nice pub for nice weather, sitting out the back is lovely.
They have a good selection of food and good portion sizes.
Parking is a bit of a pain, not too many places out the front.
Excellent food, especially dirty fries, excellent table service, highly recommend
Nice food and drinks. Nice atmosphere by the waters edge. Really helpful staff will definitely go back.
Lovely friendly pub in a great location by the river, beautiful in the summer in the garden. Serving a good selection of quality food at a fair price. Highly recommended.
Lovely food, great service, good value. Definitely worth booking as it gets busy. Stunning views from the garden area overlooking the river.
Lovely pub particularly outside over looking the river in nice weather
Nice atmosphere, very helpful and friendly bar staff. Easy to book a table and everything felt clean and safe.
Lovely new outdoor area. Good food and often have music acts.
Great food, good service. Nice covered outside area with heaters.
Great atmosphere. Lovely tea's and cocktails and the staff are great too
Food was cooked really well. The view and the layout out the back terrace was great
Came here for my 18th, lovely atmosphere and staff, food was wonderful and all though busy did not take long to arrive. Food was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing, wpuld definitely come here again no doubt.
Proper pub. Good beers, lovely food, helpful, friendly staff and a smashing landlady.
No juke box or TV ~BUT ~ superb music every third Monday of the month (acoustic in a folk / contemporary style).
Nice food amazing outside seating with plenty heaters
Great location by the river. Had a fab lunch with good food and attentive and polite staff.
It's a smashing view and very popular and we do enjoy it here, but you pay for the view. Food is pricey and a bit hit and miss and it's £20 for a bottle of wine.
Gorgeous food and really well kept ales.
Hi Imogen and team really enjoyed our stay in room 5 lovely views over the river , all of you were really friendly and helpful will be returning soon as possible regards to all Paul & Hazel .
Now had a great outside space. This a fan addition to what is already a pretty decent pub
Went a few times with friends, lovely food and great service...was especially brilliant during eat out to help out!
Beautiful food .friendly staff .only issue was we were next to garden door & it was constantly being banged when people were going in & out .shame as it interfered with our celebration for 69th birthday bash
Great food, great asmosphere and great service. We had a lovely afternoon lunch here.
Always very welcoming and traditional pub ,although the eastern bar is regularly used as a private function room which makes the other area really busy!!
Great place to eat, with some great vegatarian and vegan options. Friendly staff, good music and lovely views on a sunny day.
Great food, lovely staff and fantastic outside area looking out onto the estuary, love this place..
First impressions were not the best but food and staff were great and good value. Would choose this place on next visit.
Only complaint the cod was huge couldn't eat it all. Very nice food.friendly staff
Lovely old traditional pub/ restaurant close to bridge on A259 coastal road at Shoreham. Wonderful beer garden overlooking river & OLD boats in harbour!!
Always fantastic locally sourced food, good service, lovely large riverside terrace. Fuller's and now Dark Star alas.
Lovely food and great location especially for some evening sun watching sunset
Absolutely loved it! Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Ive found my new pub! 😀 …

Slow service meat very dry at later in afternoon On roast dinner But burgers are amazing Waitress very polite couldn't do enough to help
Had a lovely Sunday out on the terrace, very polite staff who were really helpful. Delicious smoked mackerel salad, great pub
Needed some quick food on way home. Very nice food quick and efficient service will call again if passing.
Gorgeous food, professional, accommodating staff who made my birthday a great experience.
Amazing food and staff. Lovely outside area overlooking the river.
food and the service was excellent.
highly recommended a vist .
Had lunch yesterday, lovely food, the staff were outstanding, pushing me in and out with my wheelchair and made sure I was comfortable, well done the bridge !!!!!!
Really nice pub, realistically priced, made a mistake and ordered the wrong dish.. I would go again .
Great place for a drink to watch the sun go down
As far as pubs go it was great. Delicious Sunday roast, good for big groups
Had an excellent lunch .. although service was a tad slow but staff friendly & efficient ..
Probably my favourite pub in Shoreham. Always nice staff, good food and lovely atmosphere.
Excellent food and service. Atmosphere great and lovely views of the river.
Great food and good value with a lively atmosphere
Always enjoy the food 🍲 here. Great atmosphere. Brilliant pub. …
Fab food, sat out in the garden overlooking the river and watched the sunset. Gorgeous evening thank you The Bridge.

Good food, staff and service. Dog friendly, but limited parking.
Not enough choice...hardly any choice for vegetarians ...munu gone downhill xxxx
Amazing food, good beer, great location. What more could you ask for......
This bub has very good food at reasonable prices we sat at a table where the acoustics were very bad and it was exceptionally noisy so we only had a main and went elsewhere for desert and coffee
Excellent pub good food and staff go over the top to help.
Thank you.
Fabulous food, great local ales and superb location

Bridge Over Troubled Waters? Not Here!
Visited The Bridge Inn in Shoreham-by-Sea and let me tell you, this place is a riot! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a good time. The decor is a quirky mix of nautical and nice and the beer? Well, let’s just say I found my new happy place. The staff were hilarious, cracking jokes and making everyone feel like a regular. I even got into a friendly debate about whether the fish and chips were better than my mum’s (they were, but don’t tell her!). If you’re looking for a place to laugh, drink, and maybe even dance a little jig, The Bridge Inn is your spot. Cheers to good times and great pints!
Absolutely love this pub. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful, the pub is beautiful and the garden is a gem! Covered and comfortable with fantastic views of the river. I arranged a baby shower here and the staff were brilliant, everything I needed was fine and they arranged my reserved area to look gorgeous. Great food and they cater for people with food allergies, thanks guys A***
WHAT a place! On a sunny day this place is a spectacle! Very friendly staff who go all the way out to offer a good experience. Spent hours here having food and tea and reading my book. The place is quite spacious as well! Will def return again in summers
Lovely location with a really nicely done outside area, didn’t get a chance to have any food but drinks were nice. The real shining star was the staff, they were super fun and friendly and also helpful and made the whole experience even better
I have eaten here many times on varied occasions. The food is always good. However,on a very hot Sunday in August, the menu seemed limited at the moment. So I had to decide to eat elsewhere after a drink. The outside patio is something else, very trendy and inviting.
Lovely Sunday lunch at The Bridge on Sunday. The meat on the lamb roast was absolutely beautiful, perhaps the best I've ever had?! The veggies were nice, the roasties were fair (I've never found a great roast potato yet with Sunday lunches...) Don't bother with the sides .. unless you really want to pay £4 for 2 tiny underwhelming stuffing balls 😂
Drink and food with a friend, great service and fab tasting food,in fact the tastiest meal I've had I a long time!
An excellent place for a meal (we didnt eat this time) or drink by the river. Service excellent with well mannered staff. Thank you.
Really great food and exceptionally friendly staff. Very good price. Highly recommended
A friendly pub in a great location. However, recently they have amended their menu and vastly reduced the number of options available and seem to have put prices up. Fish and chips (without any mushy peas, just battered fish and some chips) was £18 today!! It's such a shame as the previous offerings on the menu were amazing, and we always struggled with our decision due to so many good options. Also, the dessert menu was a chocolate brownie or a choice of several ice creams, which to me isn't much of a dessert menu... What was our go to "pub lunch" will now likely be avoided for food, which is a great shame.
Came here for a coffee and was greeted by the loveliest men, Brad and Jack. They offered to take our drinks out to our table, were gentleman and made a fantastic pair to run the pub, almost like brothers. The garden was absolutely beautiful, partly covered and partly open with a beautiful view across the River Adur. Come here rain or shine, you have wind and rain protection and sun protection. It's a bonus for all in this place. Coffee options are a good range and are well priced. £3.25 for a massive flat white (not like those tiny cups you're given in some places).
Thank you for a memorable visit Brad and Jack!
My husband & I went to The Bridge to meet up with my brother & sister in law, we had tasty food in a very comfortable, sunny atmosphere on the terrace. The staff were very polite & helpful.
Really lovely staff who looked after our table of 6 not so younguns like gold. Mum will never forget the young man who introduced her to her first Virgin Mary. Hugest fish Ive seen ever I think. Yummy. Thank you The Bridge!
Driven passed many times, so was time to try. It was very early, so quite easy to get window seat. Very happy young waitress ask for our drinks. Then explained specials. I had a seabass last one which was beautiful. My husband had lamb pie which was different buy enjoyable. All in all very well looked after.
Had the festive meal here couple of weeks ago. Wouldn't choose again over regular menu.
Main was good. Pork belly especially Rest of food just OK.
Quite pricey and then they added service automatically. Service not charged on normal menu, so why now?
Nice location. The interior of the restaurant / furnishings need attention. Staff pleasant. Food acceptable as reasonably priced and seemingly good quality.
Keep going back great cocktails so long as the price does not increase! Lovely food! Smallest mussels I've ever seen tho but sauce was rich and tasty! The roast is just yummy! Fish finger sandwich tasty too.
Staff are just amazing 👏 😍
Lovely view of the river sitting at a high table. We both had fish pie which was good but could have been hotter!
We shared and apple and fruit crumble with ice cream and custard which was very good!
All gluten free as that is what my friend requires!
The Chefs Special for lunch was extraordinary. The Seafood Linguini is highly recommended.
Honestly the best roast I've had in a very long time. Visited with some friends who knew it was good! They got everything spot on! Great cauliflower cheese, loads of different veggies all cooked well, loads of gravy, crispy roasties, big chunk of pork belly (and crackling!)
Message to chef: don't change anything, you guys are smashing it!
Thank you!
The food was really nice you get a decent amount! And the staff was nice, I just didn’t like the atmosphere
Popped in for a pint on a sunny afternoon with the dog. Welcomed with a dog treat which he refused, then a plate of roast beef which he only ate in private 🤦♂️ pint was great, service impeccable and comfy outdoor seating with river views, perfect 👌
amazing place ! Lovely staff and a calm environment
Food overpriced. Not 5 star! Noisy. Had to shout to have a conversation. Much touch of heaters in the booths. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice place for a drink but food not up to much. Didn't like the choices and what we had wasn't special for the price.
Great pub good service and friendly staff but the Sunday roast wasn’t amazing. The Lamb was a very small portion, the pork belly crackling wasn’t crispy. The roast potatoes were not crispy at all. Some potatoes were also slightly uncooked. The chicken was over cooked. The veg selection was just a hard carrot and some cabbage. And for the price I’d expect more meat and more crisper potatoes and more veg.
We just had lunch at the bridge, the service was exceptional, a cheerful happy motivated team is at work here.
We had a bit of a problem with one of our mains ( not quite what we expected). The response was all you could wish for. A replacement was suggested and brought once freshly cooked. We couldn’t have been happier with this solution.
They genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meals and the overall experience. Btw, my meal was perfection.
Well done team Bridge. We will be back and I’m happy to sing your praises. 💕 xx
A good pub, however, noise levels, (floor boarding!) are always too much for any form of conversation. The serving bar, ( old cabin bar servery) is ridiculously too small!, no thought to customer service! This needs addressing!
Casual dining inside or our. Varied menu with vegan choices. Staff were pleasant and friendly . Ideal for an informal lunch . Food was plentiful and filling and good value for money
Met up with 6 ex work colleagues. We all had lunch in the garden area. Food was great. Ordering and service from the bar was good. Friendly staff, will defo go there again 😁
it's nice enough, I had a peach, walnut, feta and beetroot salad that was one of the nicest combination I have had, Bar lady was excellent and really knew her customer service, food was quick. couldnt give a 5 as let down a little by sticky tables
Great vibe, lovely setting, great outside area. Dog friendly. Small car park tho
A lovely pub in a great location.
The food was absolutely dreadful.
Calamari and fries were under cooked. The chicken liver pate is very sweet, not to my taste at all.
Best mussels I've ever had. Service great.
Dropped in on a family visit with our two sons, wow! The homemade scotch egg and ploughman's were to die for! We will be back to try the lobster.
Fantastic pub great views over the river from a excellent garden. Food excellent friendly staff. Will be back. Very well done to all the team 👏
Excellent meal and service. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. It was a Friday night and it seemed pretty busy. Highly recommend 👍
Fantastic place, staff amazing, food out of this world, well worth trying, will be going again.
Went here with friends on a Tuesday evening for 2 for one burger night and it was great. Had a table outside in the heated garden and it was so warm and cozy.i would highly recommend if you Want a good night out.
Very good all round would go again
The usual good food. The service was very good too, just the right amount of attention. It is always a pleasure to visit.
It was great. Nice atmosphere, great food (had a burger)
Fun, lively atmosphere. Great beer garden for sun besides the river. Love this place
What's not to like about The Bridge? Great food reasonable drink prices fantastic staff
Nice garden area overlooking the river
Wasn't keen on meat ploughman's tbh
outside area a bonus to sit in when it's hot a it has a sail up. Nice to chill and chat
Called in last night, wow, smashing meal, smashing staff, thanks for a great evening. Best regards.
Lovey staff and place for a drink and meal.
We were visiting Shoreham-by-sea with my mom on holidays. We are from Prague. We were hoping to have quick lunch somewhere and popped in The Bridge. We immediately felt in love, how cosy and lovely the place is! And the staff, very friendly. We didn't want to have a quick lunch anymore and stayed for a coffee and desert too. The meals were absolutely delicious, I had lamb, mum had fish, both with crushed potatoes. If we come back to Shoreham, we would visit again! Oh and the view of the river marshes. Stunning ♥️

I haven't been here for a number of years and recently returned. It was bustling with lots of tables ranging from friends out for drinks to groups of all ages having food. I saw huge burgers go out, prawns, or maybe shrimp (I never figured out the difference) the size of my fist and the roasts. Wow. The roasts. For larger groups, staff brought them out on large boards for everyone to dig in and help themselves. I had a solo roast lamb and it was beautiful. The meat was cooked perfectly, the Yorkshire pudding was the size of my head and the veg was beautifully done (whatever they do with their carrots was unbelievable. I could eat a load more).
The take away from this, is, the food is wonderful and you should experience it.
And although I only had one, their cocktails are pretty nice too.
fabulous food, all fresh and plenty full. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Would highly recommend this place must remember to book as it’s very busy!
Used to enjoy come here, the back outside area was lovely, facing the river, now half of it is become clouse up, wine offer when down the hill as well, shame
Always a lovely place to eat especially in the sunshine, right next to the river. Dogs allowed too. They have spent so much time and money doing it up it is just the perfect spot, I could spend all day here!
Great pub with friendly staff, fantastic outside area with river views and a good range of food and drink. Bonus points for being dog friendly. Gets very busy so worth booking.
Good food, good beer too
Friendly staff...lovely location, view could have been enhanced by wooden bars being lower so the sea was in view...however really enjoyed time there, will definitely go again.
