Reviews of Chilworth Arms Southampton
L.
I’ve been coming here for a while now and the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. It’s a lovely restaurant/bar in a lovely location. Service is nice and quick and always a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend as somewhere to go for some food or just a pint.

I came to the Chilworth Arms for the Sunday lunch. I had the trio of roasts and all 3 meats (pork, chicken and beef) were cooked perfectly. The gravy and the trimmings were also to a very high standard, one of the best roasts I've had in years!
Lovely country pub atmosphere with very pleasant and polite staff, I will be returning!
K. o. f.
lovely pub with good range of options
I was served quickly and food was of good quality
the squid was a delight and salmon less so as it was a little overcooked nonetheless a wonderful meal. Very nice place to eat
I will come back

The FMB Manager Cameron is running a tight ship here. I was very impressed by the service and the food was to die for. I have below some of the photos. I had the delicious pizza with goats cheese. My son had the 10oz steak and another person had the dirty burger.
We will be back!!!
M. L.
Lovely place, modern, thoughtful, comfortable. Efficient, attentive staff wanting to delight. Good food - fish and chips and plant based burger. Cold drinks and nice glassware and candles. Lots of parking. Thank you.
M. G.
We ate here as local hotel where we were staying had no availability. So glad we did! The food was 1st class. They were able to cater to my onion allergy. Good size portions. Very very tasty food. Excellent friendly service.
C.
Lush food as always. Incredible 50% offer off mains voucher, this brought in a lot of custom for the pub which gave it a buzz with people enjoying their evening. Very enjoyable sociable evening with my friends. Felt very safe too with the current covid situation. Staff were friendly and busy and did a good job
D. W.
Good menu and nice environment. Main course wasn't as hot as I'd hope for and the plate was cold which didn't help the vegetables stay hot. Food was freshly cooked and nicely presented however. Dessert was excellent and good value. Will be coming again. A larger selection of bitter would be nice.
a.
Great ambience, the food was good although a bit on the pricey side!
D. M.
The food was incredible, I’ve never had better pork belly!
J. H.
Can’t fault this place. The bar area has a fantastic atmosphere whilst the restaurant is exceptional.
The squid was the best we’ve ever had and the main, specifically the chicken pie was phenomenal.
The staff were efficient, attentive and always had a smile on their face despite it being a busy Friday night.
We live a fair while away but will be 100% visiting when we can!
K. M.
Brilliant service and a wonderful meal. Great place to celebrate my birthday.
M. F. H.
It OK. £20 for salmon and half the veg promised and a very basic bare bun burger equally as overpriced will have to try again, lovely staff
B. L.
The best meal and lovely staff - the outside pavilion was divine to dine.
A little mess up with loss of all our menus but all sorted quickly.
Love it here.
P. C.
Really nice pub/restaurant serving delicious food. It is a reasonable price considering the great quality. The decor is lovely. They cater for vegans really well too. 5 ⭐️
A. E.
Probably the best place to go in that area. The staff are very friendly. The food options is small but delicious. They carry a selection of vegan options.
S.
Very nice food, only small issue we had was could’ve done with being a bit warmer. Sea Bass was lovely along with the Pork, nice big portions. Unfortunately left no room for sweets
C. W.
The venue is nice and the staff who served us were friendly and pleasant. On the basis that we had pre-ordered our lunch, it took a long time to arrive at the table - between 30 and 40 minutes. As it was a work lunch, some of us needed to be back in the office so once the food arrived, it felt a bit hurried. The food was nice - two of us had the spiced coconut curry - the amount of rice was fine, however there was very little of the curry - almost like a starter portion. I did hear one member of staff say to another that there was no more curry, so maybe you had run out but portion-wise, this was not acceptable for the amount of money. As a group, we would visit again but more for the venue than the food.
P. N.
Very good service from Freya - Friendly and efficient but not overly familiar. Nicely spoken - none of the 'are you guys alright', 'I'll just grab that for you' kind of language which colours service in so many places these days.
The setting was pleasant - seating not crowded.
c. b.
Great place with an excellent interior. Drinks were far cheaper than expected which was a pleasant surprise. The only downside was the amount of dogs inside which didn't get on particularly well with each other.
C. W.
Probably the best roast I've had, aside from home kooped of course. I'm not usually a fan of pork belly but my god.. if my partner was having a dessert I was certainly ordering another pork belly roast. Although I would have burst as the portion sizes were great too.
J. L.
We’ve been here a few times and generally the food’s been good. This time the food was sub-par. We had the pizzette starter which was okay although the dough was still too thick in some parts.
The real problem came in the main meal. I ordered the rib-eye to be done medium. It arrived far too quickly (we were still finishing our starter) and when I cut into it, it was blue. I showed the waiter how raw it was in the middle and he quite rightly sent it back for another one. My steak arrived whilst my wife was at least halfway through her main meal and whilst the steak was medium as requested, I could tell it was rushed and hadn’t been rested for very long as the colour wasn’t even throughout the steak. Dessert was a mediocre affair for my wife , with the tiramisù having no coffee flavour. It looked and tasted like a normal vanilla cheesecake with a single coffee soaked biscuit placed on top for decoration.
I hope that this was just a one-off experience as whenever I’ve been here before, the food has generally been good.
K. P.
The food at the Chilworth Arms is exactly what you would expect from a well-regarded British Gastropub in 2022. A nice selection of food, well cooked and with friendly service.
The price is very reasonable and I can see why it is so popular.
I had the pork belly and it was absolutely delicious.
G. M.
I had my surprise engagement party at the Chilworth arms. The attention to detail was amazing, even had a banner made for me! Katie and her team were fantastic, great food, drinks and atmosphere. Thank you so much!
K. H.
We had the best experience today, enjoyed a lunch in the bar with our two dogs. The staff were so welcoming and the atmosphere was so joyful. The food was divine too!
A. K.
This is one of my favourite places. Nice environment , stylish and great food. Staff are also very kind & helpful. Overall a well managed operation.
M. H.
Had a lovely evening for our wedding anniversary. Great service. Incredibly tasty food. Huge drinks selection. Vegan menu was brilliant as was the veggie options. Definitely a favourite for us in Southampton.
F.
I made a group booking for 16 and Chilworth didn’t disappoint! There were a couple of communication errors but throughout the booking process the staff were very helpful; preordering and paying a deposit were very easy, and on the night the food was absolutely delicious. We had the back dining area to ourselves which was fab and we had a choice of table set ups (though sadly not a round one due to space). Despite some of our party running late and a bit off faff with the bill, the staff were very patient and friendly throughout the evening.
I’ve messaged a big thank you to the team. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great evening, and we’ll definitely look at using Chilworth for more gatherings in the future!
D. G.
We had pre booked and pre ordered for our family of 11.A mixed bunch including 3 vegans,1 gluten free and 2 under 10 year olds.Supply issues, beyond the Chilworth Arms' control, meant some had to change their order on the day--but the substitutes were excellent.
The service,.food and surroundings were brilliant and we all enjoyed our meal there.Next time the family is over from Switzerland, we will definitely be returning.
Can highly recommend.
m. p.
Can't comment on the food but the place is lovely and they've got a good selection of beer, although skewed towards the lager end of things with only one pump (Doombar) which was off on our visit. Still, you don't often see Curious IPA on draught so I'm not complaining.
S. S.
Yummo... great dinner tonight 😋
c. c.
Menu was good. We very much enjoyed our starters. However we were only halfway through when our main course was brought to the table. As we were not ready it was taken away again. Then brough5 back again as we were almost finished. It wa# obvious that the same meal was coming back. When we started to eat the main it was barely lukewarm, which wa# a shame as the beer wa# very tender. I did mention this when we paced our desert order but the waite4 made no comment
M. B.
Great food and really good service, took a little while for the meal to come but understandable in the current circumstances 🙂
M. S.
Fantastic service, friendly and efficient staff, fabulous room. Food was brilliant - very impressed. Definitely coming back!
C.
Lovely window table & excellent service from Audra.
Delicious food. We had the pan-fried wild scallops & pan-fried king prawns with chilli & feta followed by, seabass with chorizo & cod & chips.
J. H.
Love this place. Love the food. Love the atmosphere and the staff cannot do enough for you
P. W.
Good pub/restaurant with a nice large garden with plenty of seating. Plenty of room indoors for eating or just a drink.
n. c.
Loved this place, fresh and expertly prepared quality food and the service was friendly and helpful.
We had Scallops of the day to start which were so good, but the House Sharer from the dessert menu was the highlight of our meal.
The interior decor is modern and stylish and the beer garden is large and inviting, the location is beautiful, surrounded by stunning countryside in the little village of Chilworth.
There is also a large car park.
Will definitely be frequenting this hidden gem.
R. P.
This venue is a great place to eat, drink or just relax with a tea or coffee. Fantastic decor, with displays of wine, Champagne and other sparkling choices. But be aware...this is a VERY expensive menu...wines starting at £17!!! Rising to £55, which for a local...?
Staff are friendly and attentive, food looks great (if again, slightly overpriced) and there are plenty of seats and tables.
Would recommend this place for singles, couples and families...it has a nice garden.
J. R.
Lovely setting, friendly service but the duck salad was swimming in sauce and made everything sloppy.
G.
Nice decor, good choice of draught and keg beers. Unfortunately the day we visited we were advised that no lunches were available unless booked in advance - the chef was apparently 'under training'. Nevertheless, after some cajoling, we managed to pusuade them to offer luncheon service. The choice was limited but reasonably cooked and presented.
Large car park.
J. R.
A lovely interior and the offering is a great service BUT for my group, the food being the most important ingredient of the evening, was extremely disappointing and for the money we spent on the night, we expected far better. My sticky chicken starter was overcooked, my main was as dry as old bones but to make amends, the dessert was quite special. So sorry, but I won’t be returning in a hurry.
S. E.
Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. Booked again!
S. R.
really liked the menu and the quality of the food we had
B. B.
Absolutely stunning meal, fish and chips is next level. I've never had something so tasty despite it being a relatively standard meal! Highly recommend. The staff were amazing as well, they cared, they wanted it to be a good meal.
K. C.
Well balanced menu with plenty of choice. Good value well prepared food. Friendly and welcoming service. Everything you expect from a good gastropub
D. T.
Nice place and atmosphere. Only had two Gammons left ! Why? It's a popular meal. Otherwise fine. Staff obliging.
R. B.
Good selection of dishes, which I and my family all enjoyed. Service was very fast and the table near the wood fire was very warm and cosy.
R. M.
Visited "The Chilworth Arms " a couple of times for family occasions the most recent was for mine and my sisters 50th Birthday and have both times thoroughly enjoyed it .
The staff are warm, attentive and well organised . The food is delicious and well presented and there is a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
Definitely recommend and we will be back soon for sure
S. G.
Absolutely lovely stuff... Nice place 👌🏻
D. A.
Food is well prepared and served by friendly staff. I wouldn't describe it as gourmet, but definitely above the standard of the usual "pub grub".
A. S.
Service was a little slower than we might have hoped (though we do understand). Food was good and the staff were friendly as ever. Thanks for a lovely meal.
S. G.
I was a little underwhelmed. The staff are great. Given there's little choice in Chillworth for a cafe, I thought the pub might do is a slice of cake. The hot choc was no problem, but no cake option. I was offered a brownie which I'm guessing is a dessert. I'm sure as part of a three course meal it's fine, but by itself was a bit paltry. Add to that the total was £10, I felt it was a bit pricey!
B. S.
Popped in for a bite to eat on the way back from the coast home. Not disappointed at all. Trendi gastro pub - top marks - well done 😀
H. V.
Nice, upscale pub in the heart of Chilworth. Decent selection of beers, great wines, and cocktales. Excellent array of seating options, including facilities for parties of up to 25 or 30 people, including a private room and very nice outdoor seating.
K. G.
We had a great meal in the garden, good was very tasty and well presented and the service by the 2 guys was friendly and professional. Misty enjoyed a cool afternoon.
S. C.
We had such an excellent experience at The Chilworth Arms recently! The food and drinks were absolutely beautiful… completely faultless. What really made the meal so special was how wonderful and attentive the staff were during our visit. All of the staff were very accommodating and welcoming from the get go. One waiter in particular made the meal unforgettable. Cameron was excellent! Not only did he ensure the food and drinks were perfect at all times, but he also went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy, smiling and having the best time. Thank you so much!
S. B.
Had a lovely meal, good selection of food. Nice log fire. Laid out very nice. Would recomend.
P. C.
Good gastro pub, excellent range of choice (and not just the staples) and quality ingredients - went more d Sunday afternoon and it was full
P. A.
Superb setting and the ambience is excellent. Very attentive staff, but not in your face, just there when you need them. A flexible approach to our request for a 21st birthday lunch with all that goes with it, proved to be spot on! Exceedingly tasty food with a good variety available. Would heartily recommend this establishment.
M. B.
Wonderful atmosphere and quality food. The drinks were spot on as well. Service was a tad slow to start with but soon picked up. Lots of space at the back so if you want to bring your kids and pets, there is plenty of room for them to run around as you can see from the picture.
F. S.
Great service, great food, great location and decor. Overall a lovely place to enjoy lunch.
J. W.
I visited here on the 12/03/22 to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was great service and amazing food.

Lovely Father's day lunch with all the family to celebrate Father's day and son's 40th
G. B.
Visited a couple of days ago and was pleasantly surprised with what was on offer. There was a lovely collection of cocktails and the food was all very tempting. We weren't sure what to order though so out waiter, Jordan helped with some recommendations and made sure everything was okay for us through the night. We can't wait to come back!
M. D.
Amazing service chef went out of his way to meet my dining needs. Staff very polite and respectful. Highly recommended
S. K.
Outstanding food menu. Had the pork belly with scallops plus a few drinks the other week. Cooked nicely. Stayed on for a few drinks including a nicely made old fashioned. We were all really happy with the service and the standards, thanks all.
j. H.
Good amount of parking front and at rear, wish they would do good (wholesome ) pub food!!! It's ok. Staff polite, drinks reasonable price, comfortable, nice atmosphere in evenings when fire going. Good garden in summer.
S. T.
I went to the chilworth Arms a few days ago and the waiter we had whose name was Chris was amazing! He was so friendly and went above and beyond from start to finish. He is an absolute credit to the team and we would definitely recommend the pub just for Chris if nothing else.
N. I.
Just went in for a drink with friends. Nice to be back to normal and order at the bar. Great character who served.
C. A.
Great location ,lovely garden area and superb food menu
M. W.
Lovely place with very great food. Only thing I could complain about was the fact that the staff were too over attentive. This is a crazy statement but they really were. Me and my girlfriend had to tell three separate waiters within ten minutes that we were just enjoying our drink before we ordered food. This is the only thing I can complain about so shows you how good the place is.
R. C.
We were a table of 10, brilliantly looked after by Nathan. Delicious food, great service.
A. R.
Went there yesterday following a Christening. The food, venue, staff and service all amazing. Not a sine fault to point out. Perfect!
The friendly staff went above and beyond to make a memorable occasion very special. I couldn't recommend them high enough.
W. B.
Good food. Doom Bar beer well kept

M. R.
Good food, friendly atmosphere. Lovely staff
N. H.
Really enjoyed our evening there. Good quality food, but portion size could have been a little better. Service was excellent and the staff were really friendly.
N. T.
Good cider, pleasant atmosphere and bumped into an old friend.
N. H.
Food excellent if you don't mind waiting and they don't serve between 3.00 and 6.00 pm either.
G. B.
Really good menu and food was great
M. N.
Excellent : service food, chilian wine , desserts..méat cooked at your liking. Will go back. Spécial thanksvto Oliver.
S. G.
Good clean pub with polite staff and a friendly atmosphere
T. H.
Good atmosphere, and good food. Very busy when I went but staff were still attentive
A. H.
Great pub for a drink after working at the science park, and the food is lovely.
C. C.
Great food, reasonably priced with nice decor
C. W.
On arrival the staff were very good at explaining the Covid rules regarding mask wearing and the one way system to and from our table. Once seated at our table the service left a lot to be desired.
Very slow table service when ordering drinks and food to the point that we felt ignored. Starter delivered that should have been gluten free, it wasn’t. This meant that two people could eat their starters whilst the third person had to wait for their gluten free dish to be re engineered. A complimentary drink was offered as an apology and was accepted. During the evening at least 4 people left other tables without wearing masks to visit the bathroom and walked against the one way system that had been set up. I did speak to someone at the bar about it and it appeared that the staff were frustrated about having to police the Covid rules. I did feel sorry for the staff and felt that if more signage had been in place as reminders for people, the staff would not have to feel the pressure of managing selfish individuals not adhering to simple instructions that the majority of diners were happy to follow. Whilst the food was delicious, the service was inattentive and made us feel that our table was an after thought during most of the evening.
E. S.
Staff were charming but at 17:30 (Special Menu moules already run out), pizzas run out, Caesar run out.
H. D.
Great spot for all occasions, wish it was warm enough to sit in the garden!
J. S.
The Chilworth Arms is set in a beautiful landscape location, food served in their restaurant absolutely superb, great presentation, lovely service from all the staff. Special thanks to Claudia the perfect waitress, nothing was too much for her when checking out some wines for us Totally Recommended you'll love it.
L. E.
Ate here yesterday as part of a wedding party. The food was lovely and very nicely presented. Good choice of meals and all served together. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Thankyou.
R. P.
Amazing place, tidy, nice and clean, Covid aware, will come again definitely
V. R.
Good place to have meal 🥩
Friendly staff, will be back 😉
D.
Amazing service and great food. I only dropped one star as they had run out of some dishes reasonably early on. However the sea bass was wonderful
T. E.
Fast service despite the large lunchtime party, excellent food and friendly staff. £££ but worth it!
K. T.
Nice place, Great food, good prices and really friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area!
S. H.
Friendly, good company good food good service and more importantly good beer definitely go back
A. T.
Excellent food and service. Waiter could not have been better. No issue with kids allergies (good kids menu too). Well setup for distancing etc, all clearly explained. Will go here again if I'm in the area. Only thing that could be improved would be a full drinks menu, always nice to know what drink options are available.
S. L. C.
Probably the best fish cake and fish and chips ever eaten. Good covid awareness and clean environment.
H. M.
Amazing restaurant, Josh was really attentive, we went at 19:15 on a Sunday and they still had roast dinners. Really covid safe with a one way system and very professional. Will definitely be returning
T. C.
Popped in to try our luck getting some dinner after being drenched on the driving range up the road, they found us a table quickly and the team working there were very friendly and welcoming. They even helped us with menu recommendations. Brilliant team
G. W.
Good experience start to finish. Good vegetarian and vegan food choices.
E. P.
Food was good and staff were brilliant
P. P.
Service was good. Food was very nice
R. E.
It's been done out nicely but is a bit pricey for what you get.
C. B.
Great food, service is a little lacking and outside area a bit scruffy but food more than makes up for it.
J. P.
The manager Dan was very polite and understanding. Will be coming back. Nice place on the edge of a park. Nicely done inside.
Cameron served me really quickly with a smile and the sea bass he recommended was delicious! Compliment's to the chef
J. C.
I loved every second of it, a brilliant experience. Friendly staff, great food and overall class service. 10/10 would recommend!
J. D.
Amazing Sunday roast. Had the trio and it was so good! I could hardly even finish it and had to ask to take some home to finish later. Topped off with lovely service by the attentive staff.
D. H.
Genuinely a great surprise. Came for a nice lunch with family and friends.
Easy to get to, plenty of parking.
Despite covid restrictions, we were seated quickly on a nice spacious table and served quickly.
Food was way beyond expectations which is the main reason for the great review. But green views and freindly staff added all added to make experience.
M. S.
A nice meal, but personally would prefer some less fussy choices on the menu.
K. M.
This was our first experience of dining out since lockdown and from start to finish the service and food was exceptional. It is clear to see they have made a huge effort when it comes to safety and social distancing and we felt completely at ease. The Chilworth Arms is our local so we wanted to go somewhere we trusted and they did not fail to exceed our expectations. If only everywhere was the same!
We would definitely come back again and have been completely reassured by the standards we have seen.
Great staff, excellent food and as always an amazing atmosphere.
P. L.
Great food and very nice setting.
J. L.
Lovely food. Amazing staff. Great place for a chilled lunch and a cold glass of wine. (Social distancing was also perfect!)
t. d.
Treated my lovely wife to a 40th birthday meal with family. We were immediately greeted and felt at home right from the start. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating for us, especially Cam J who was our main host. The food was excellent and we didn't feel rushed at any point. Would certainly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy good food and drink with a relaxed atmosphere. Will be definitely coming back!
J. R.
Lovely setting and very good food. Excellent spacious venue and good covid-19 awareness. Service can be slow if you are in an obscure table. Fairly pricey but venue makes up for it
P.
A nice meal in a nice pub at reasonable price. Attentive staff and worth a visit if you’re in the area
k. e.
Never been before and this was our first meal out since lockdown.
We went last night for our 30th wedding anniversary. Food was fabulous and it was so nice not to be rushed.
Staff were attentive and polite.
Social distancing was attempted but some customers didn't seem to understand one way system.
Would definitely recommend.
E. N.
Food very good and levels of cleanliness excellent. Let down a little by slow, inattentive and at times, indifferent service. Fairly pricey but ambience and surroundings are pleasant. Be careful in the car park- spaces are very tight and it's extremely dark at the far end.
R. P.
I love eating here.Great, tasty and satisfying food ....men's toilets need some work though....looks like a dive end bar in the boys toilets
S. R.
Fairly nice pub, looks pretty, but the noise of the people talking inside was very loud! Difficult to carry on a conversation. Also a bit pricey.
R. M.
Really lovely pub with excellent staff in a great setting with a huge selection of drinks and excellent food. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.
A. B. -. A.
We hosted a group of 16 people from around Hampshire for Sunday lunch. Our guests were delighted with the wide menu choice, attentive yet discrete service and delicious food. We were able to chat for long after our meal was finished. Very impressed. The group want to come again! Thank you.

Good comfort food in an upscale setting. The Sunday roast could use more veggies - very few carrots and parsnips. Also went for a proper dinner. Food was delicious (not amazing), but good. I ordered the pork belly, which was nice. Not a lot of crackling. My friend ordered the linguine, which he devoured. Good desserts. Nice atmosphere.
M.
Good food and great service. Took a bit of time but the restaurant was busy so that’s expected!
J. g.
We came in quite late Friday night as we drove an hour to our hotel after work etc and found this pub, when we went in they had started to close down the kitchen but couldn’t have been anymore accommodating! The service was amazing, the food incredible and the whole place was just a pleasure! The manager working that night didn’t catch his name but he was great, me and my partner were so impressed at how lovely everyone was. Thank you 😊
P. G.
Couldn’t have picked a better place to go and eat a roast on a Sunday afternoon with my friends. Food is very representable and it tastes better than it looks! The atmosphere was great and the drinks were even better the bar man Cameron knows his stuff when it comes to drinks! Very friendly and helpful person. Highly recommend going!
L. B.
Good food and friendly staff.
c. c.
The food is out of this world! Amazing pub, great atmosphere. Service could be better (was a bit slow and distracted). Too bad they close the kitchen very early - call before you go. The Guinness was pretty good. The pork belly was fantastic. They should fix the numerous lights that are out - we've had to change tables because eating in the dark is no fun! The waiters weren't able to change the lights even though they weren't busy. Maybe the management needs to stock up on light bulbs, or ask the waiters to do this when requested by guests? None the less a great experience.
K. M.
We booked a table for 4 yesterday and I must say all of us felt safe and comfortable. They were very well organised with the covid rules. The food was delicious, the staff and service was great, even calling us a taxi twice because the first one drive off. Will certainly be going back there again. Thank you.

Visited with a friend. Really lovely food but was given the std menu and had to ask for the midweek treats menu which was a bit cheeky. Food was really nice and service was at a good speed but the staff were quite distant. I never had my spare cutlery removed and we had our pudding spoons just left in the middle of the table. We had to sort out the bill as overcharged. Really noisy as well which made conversation difficult. Would go back as food lovely but with my wits about me !
m. p.
Great meal with friendly service, this place is a lovely venue, both bar and restaurant.
R. A.
Lovely lunch. Great food. Lovely wine. Our waitress Georgina was very lovely. Will definitely return.
L. N.
Great service
Solid roast on Sunday
Good dessert options
A. J.
We had a meal for the 2pm slot and service and food was very good. The young men who served us were very polite and friendly.
Very clean and spaced out inside.
Only criticism was my partners chocolate brownie was very dry.
J. B.
Food and service was very good!
S. O.
Ok for drinks but food is just so so.
N. I. M.
Really nice looking place. Even a simple house soda is served in a very posh looking glass. Good service overall.
R. D.
Average food for the ££ price. Although the location at atmosphere is great. We were all disappointed with the quality of the food at lunch time. Burger for £13 was sub-standard (I've had a better Five Guys for the same price). Chicken was pretty dry. All in all we won't be rushing back for the food.
H. S.
Great experience - food was super fresh and absolutely delicious. Really good service. Thanks!
C. S.
Premium experience, great staff and well fitted throughout
J. L.
Food excellent, service very good. Two people had the roasts, my wife and I enjoyed our homemade beef burgers. Sticky toffee pudding with a Bourbon ice cream was lovely!
It's also nice to eat away from the bar area, rather than near to those just drinking.
A. R.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, I had been looking forward to scallops and pork belly all week, sadly they had sold out of scallops. That was a shame but didnt spoil the experience.
T. N.
Very good pub and garden and food good.
But thought the menu was too limited.
Only one meat burger, chicken or pizza
Or fish.
J. O.
Good quality food, social distancing was easy to follow, online table booking system was easy to use and confirmed with SMS. Loses a star for not getting order right.
T. S. P.
Had a wonderful retirement meal for 12 people at this lovely pub .The food was excellent, the timing of the food served was perfect and everyone commented on how delicious the food was . Thank you to the chefs who work so hard behind the scenes .Hannah our lovely waitress was so attentive, she looked after us so well . She is a little gem and is a credit to your pub . Thank you for making my evening perfect .
Teresa
J. B.
Great food. But a bit expensive
R. S.
I bring my disabled father here for lunch once a month. They cater really well for wheel chair users. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The pub itself is very boutique and nicely decorated with a lovely garden and great setting. The food is second to none. Every dish is perfect. Never had a bad meal here. One of my favourite pubs in the whole country. Thanks!
E. A.
Amazing service and food. Sanitiser on arrival and one way system mapped out very well. Very successful visit, will come again. Hannah our waitress was very attentive, as was Joe in the bar.
L. V.
We had a lovely evening here, we were a very large party of 20+ I think, the food was very good and the veg was amazing! For that many people - all fresh and beautifully cooked. The team worked really hard serving us, they were helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
I will certainly go back - thank you everyone at the chilworth arms for making our Christmas party a fabulous night 🥰
B. D.
Nice place. Staff great. Food poor.
J. D.
Great food and drink. The atmosphere is lovely with comfy chairs and a roaring log fire in the winter. The choice of drinks is massive. The only downside is parking can be a little hard to come by, however a good pub always has a busy car park!
D. M.
We had a very enjoyable lunch.
C. L.
Great food, but we were there for 3 and half hours and seem to be quite slow at service once main had been delivered to the table.
R. B.
Great pub, good outdoor seating. Good selection of vegetarian food. Friendly and happy staff, made us feel very welcome.
m. k.
Getting to enjoy a burger when out. Eton mess for 18+ was a twist. Thought the wobbly floor was going to be a problem (seasick) but forgotten once eating.
M.
Fantastic food and atmosphere , staff was very friendly and polite and also they were always make sure you got everything you need.Definetly 5 stars and will visit again soon !
S. B.
A nicely decorated pub, in a nice location, with a very nice beer garden. Food was nice and prompt, however we had no cutlery brought with our food and had to go find some. They do have vegan and vegetarian options, but only one meat free salad. If it's a nice day and your stuck for somewhere to eat or drink, you could do a lot worse than here.
M. G.
Food, service, presentation, staff all excellent. Very friendly and helpful and made to feel at home. The fillet steak was amazing, as was the venison which my wife had. If down this way again will definitely go back.
P. M.
Outstanding food and service, will definitely return and recommend.
B. R.
I'd have loved to give them 5 stars because ALL the front of house staff were lovely but despite the fabulous menu the chef must have been having a real off night. I ordered the venison medium rare and 40 mins later it came well done. I rarely send food back but had to, second time the meat was rare but the chips were undercooked. Also the garnishes were completely different to the menu?! I'd fancied a dessert but it was getting late so skipped. I'll probably give them a second try cos it seems a lovely pub with such welcoming staff - good service goes a long way - and the menu looks worth another try, just might leave the venison next time.
D. W.
Wanted to give my friend a birthday treat. First visit and we we're was totally impressed. Comfortable surroundings, friendly and helpful staff. Food was high standard and delicious. Creme brulee was a taste delight. Will be bringing my family for a meal very soon.
O. S.
Nice pub in both summer and winter. Food menu could do with being updated more regularly but it is always well made (Sunday roast is very good) Nice staff and good parking but bring back the breakfast (maybe bottomless brunch with live music - could be popular and is needed in the area) 🤩
P. A.
Good food and wine. The ambience was ruined by the excessive noise, we were in a smallish room with I suppose about twelve people. One party was making a lot of noise and enjoying themselves - which is fair enough. The hard floor and walls acted like a sound box and we couldn't hear each other speak. We eventually asked to be moved.
S. M.
We were there for a special birthday dinner. I had the linguini and highly recommend it.
Great food and staff
B. W.
Very friendly staff. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.
G. P.
Had a really pleasant meal on a saturday evening. Our table was booked for 8:45 to avoid the predicted saturday evening rush, and we were quickly seated upon arrival. Drink orders were taken and delivered swiftly as were the mains. The food was beautifully cooked and tasted fantastic and the atmosphere was comfortable. The staff did a great job reassuring everyone during a 5 minute power outage and iy was quickly restored. All in all a great night.
A. D.
The food here is lovely with the same menu available in both the bar and restaurant. The staff are all very friendly and convivial.
However, as a gastropub the pricing is at a premium -as you would expect, but the service and attention to detail do not meet expectations.
On our first visit, phoning ahead told us they served food until 9:30 but on arrival were told no tables were available in the restaurant so we left as it wasnt explained to us that they also served food from the bar. Then, on a subsequent visit both of the main courses served were not the ones ordered.
r. h.
Lovely atmosphere, very tasty food and very helpful staff
S. G.
A solid local pub. A higher class of punter in this gaff, food is decent but leans more towards gastro pub than say a hungry horse. Above average pricing but that's to be expected. Top beer garden in the summer 👍
J. M.
Great food, very relaxed atmosphere and very friendly
D. O.
Friendly reception on a Thursday lunchtime, food was served quickly and was delicious. Sat outside with shade. Look forward to coming back with my family.
S. D.
good food...good drink selection and great service too
S.
Setting: lovely pub with great terrace full of locals.
Staff: very friendly.
Food: Nothing wrong with it, but also nothing special.
Covid: Some concessions made to the Covid pandemic but to me it does not feel safe.
Overall: will be back, but not during the pandemic.
J. K.
First rate popular venue with a good affordable menu. Food was well presented and enjoyable. Good service given by pleasant staff. It's best to book if you want to be sure of a table!
P. C.
Place was nice and cozy , we were staying at Chilworth Manor but after a poor Breakfast experience we decided to eat elsewhere for the main meal ... was greeted by a guy behind the bar who had a cocktail stick permanently in his mouth , do people actually do this, or had we walked into a poor 1970's cop show ?
Ordered a couple of drinks (not the cheapest we had that week) and sat down to pursue the menu , decided it was a bit pretentious and over priced for us , so just left after the first round of drinks and found somewhere else for our meal.
May be good if you like that sort of thing
J. R.
Had a good meal here food well cooked and presented staff polite and helpful.
Outside area very good too government advise in place throughout.
S. B.
Local to the Chilworth Manor Hotel we ate here and the food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Sea bass cooked perfectly excellent Eton mess and blackcurrant mousse for afters. Will visit again.
S. D. W.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff!
E. H.
Lovely place to look at and food was good when it eventually arrived. Only complaint was the staff. We were not made to feel welcome in fact the staff appeared to be completely indifferent. When we had finished our main meal a girl cleared the table but didn't ask if we wanted dessert. We had decided we were going to have dessert and another drink but no one seemed interested in asking us if wanted anything else. No one even asked if we'd enjoyed our meal. After several members of staff walked past without a glance in our direction we decided to ask for the bill and leave. This spoiled what would have been an enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings.
W. C.
Great place for a Sunday roast or romantic evening meal. Although this place can be on the pricey side it is worth every penny. Great selection of beers and food! Worth a try if in the area!
M. C.
Had a table last night for 14 family members for Mum's 70th birthday, the food was fantastic and our waiter Chris provided excellent service. We had our own private area which made it special. It was a great evening and Chris went above and beyond, we will all be coming back again...Thank you so much for making my Mum's birthday so memorable, Chris we will be asking you to be our waiter on our return, you were amazing 😁
S. D.
Although the food was excellent, the service was awful. They gave us free coffees but the hassle and the huge waits, yes several, and missing or wrong orders was tedious particularly with a tired toddler as the 7th person at the table. It was a shame. The three stars are for the food, when we got it.
P. L.
Just very average. Used to be comfortable, now stylish decor without any soul. Kitchen shuts just after 9, so don't arrive late if you want to eat. The food is sometimes great, and sometimes a bit rubbish. Some of the pints are over £5 now.
T. P.
This is one of the best restaurants I have been to lovely staff very help full would go again if I am up that way 👍👍👍👍👍
L. W.
This pub is really lovely - beautiful inside and a pretty beer garden. I got a pint of lager, which unfortunately seemed a little flat (oddly looked fine, just tasted flat so I didn't say anything as I didn't want to seem awkward). We both had the roast on the Sunday, again unfortunately we'd been out for a roast the week before so had an easy comparison. This one was more expensive, the Yorkshire pudding was a little cold and (personally) I found the potatoes a little large and underdone and not enough gravy. But both puddings were lovely!
J. L.
Attended for a baby shower held in the room near the bar. Good was excellent, staff were most helpful. Only downside was that the ladies loos were out of order on the day and the disabled loo door lock was inadequate!!
J. B.
Booked a table for 2 at the last minute. Staff friendly, food very nice.
N. H.
Quite expensive. Very attentive staff. Food well presented with a good choice. However, the apple and rhubarb crumble had no rhubarb. When queried, staff member said there must be rhubarb in there as it's bought in ready made. She did bring me a little dish of rhubarb to add to me crumble offered free tea or coffee as recompense.
J. H.
First meal out since restaurants opened their doors again. Really pleased with the food, the lamb was particularly good, and the service much improved from when we were last there which let it down slightly.
N. J.
All round excellent! The food and service were both fantastic. The tempura mushroom starter was amazing! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Really impressed, will definitely be back.
A. B.
Probably one of the best meals we've had in a long time! Absolutely delicious food and excellent friendly staff. Will definitely come back, even though we live in Bath. We visited the Lime Tree restaurant in Lyndhurst for lunch 2 days later and our son said it was ok but not as good as the Chilworth Arms!! 😀
G. F.
Great food as always, but sadly service not so great on this visit. Extra drinks never arrived after several enquiries.
P. M.
Had a great afternoon, Katie and her team have been fantastic dealing with difficult conditions keeping everyone topped up with drinks
Book a table now, you won't regret it
C. M.
Friendly staff, tasty food - quantity just the right amount. Fair prices for a Gastro Pub. Bit of noise from the bar area but it was a Friday night so to be expected really. Would visit again for a treat/special occasion.
F. S.
Really nice food, good quality and portions and good value for money. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, having one direction system keeping everyone super safe.
J. W.
Love the place shame the menu was limited by lack of planning
E. C.
In a nice setting you can find really good food for any taste. Very friendly staff and quick service increase my overall evaluation. Not to be missed if you are in this area.
T. C.
Great pub, fabulous service and very friendly.
The food, drinks and atmosphere are all very good
E.
Very nice place to eat, food is excellent. Only fault l could find is that the staff were slow in attending to our table. Our evening was a special occasion celebration. Table for 4. Monday 20th August.
S. D.
A feeling of sophistication in a lovely setting. Food is good, and food selection works for lunch or dinner.
L. B.
We visited last night, the fires were roaring and it was very busy in the bar but relatively calm in the restaurant. It was our first time here and the food was out of this world. I had the Seabass Fillet and my partner had the Salmon. We decided against desserts but not through lack of our waiter trying to persuade us to share one. He was very friendly, charming and knowledgeable about the menu. we were very happy with the service. thank you. chris? his name on the cheque was 'sharpy'?
I. N.
Good food, either in the restaurant or bar/garden. Beer is ok but could do with a better selection of cask. Prices are fairly high, but to match the quality. They seem to have a decent pizza oven.
B. B.
First time in the outside area very nice and spacious, nice friendly staff and nice food, would recommend 😊
D. S.
Really nice meal, very easy location for a meeting as just off of the motorway. Much smarter than the impression I got from the website. Much more restaurant experience than pub. Lovely garden. Brilliant food.
J. M.
Both food and atmosphere were great. There was some "couples special" on at the time (I think its a regular feature) which was very decent for a group of us. Well worth a try.
c. o.
Absolutely beautiful food and staff so helpful and friendly gluten free available
D. F.
Very nice venue, stylish friendly staff. Good quality food.
P. B.
Lively choice of dishes, always well presented by friendly attentive staff. Same menu in the bar as the restaurant. Modern and homely atmosphere with plenty of free parking. Reservations are a must during the weekend.
j. j.
Lovely food and atmosphere. The garden is really nice on a beautiful day too.
C. J.
Nice evening with friends. Had a few drinks and something to eat.. Chris was helpful and there when needed. Thank you chef Adrian.
G. M.
What a find the Chilworth Arms is..great menu using fresh locally sourced ingredients, there really is something for everyone and a fantastic selection of drinks, some very unusual. The staff are knowledgable about the food and drink. They obviously enjoy working there. The ambience is relaxed and friendly with attractive surroundings and beautiful decor. There is a gorgeous outside area for barbecues and parties or just al fresco dining. It's the sort of place you can drop into for a swift drink and then decide to stay a little longer. The clientele are usually well-heeled golfers, but there is also a contingent of highly educated people from the nearby University Science Park...so dress up or down but definitely enjoy yourself!
J. H.
Lovely pub, yummy food, staff very polite and friendly. Good surroundings and perfect for a date
P. S.
Great food! Fantastic atom sphere with a lovely back garden.
T. H.
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend.
R. H.
Good food, lots of outdoor seating and large portions
J. M.
Excellent food and service from the team at Chilworth today
And the manager was very helpful
J. P.
Visited for my 60th birthday and had a lovely time. Excellent decor, happy atmosphere and very good service indeed. The food was perfect for my family group and everything flowed to deliver a great evening out.
A. C.
Love this pub, used many times now easy walk from Chilworth Manor hotel, Good mix of comfy seating, very nice food, sometimes have live entertainment. Lovely outside area if visiting in nice weather.
T. W.
Won't be going there again in a hurry. Table of five. Two starters came out. Ten minutes later before the others arrived. Three of the starters were the same, one arrived hot, one lukewarm and the third one was cold!. The main meals were hot and delicious but the necessary cutlery was not supplied and had to be requested. Very expensive meals but didn't live up to expectations.
R. P.
Had a lovely Sunday roast. Fab service and great food! Will definitely be returning!
B. P.
Pleasant staff, spacious seating but I was disappointed with my fish and chips. Chips and batter on fish were soggy as if they had been kept warm.
s. b.
Visited today with family for a wake, found staff very friendly and efficient and the food was great possibly the best french fries we have ever had. Great atmosphere and garden shame about the wasps well worth a visit
S. F.
Very good service and excellent food! Couldn't fault it! Recommended!
J.
A place where we have been many times over the years but the last visit was disappointing it lacked something that gave them the edge. Yes the food was good but not great. As ever the facilities were average lacking the attention for such s popular venue
L.
Visited recently and enjoyed a fantastic meal with my wife and two kids - served by a lovely young lady called Georgia who was incredibly attentive. Can't recommend enough!
E. S.
Popped in for lunch, sandwich and soup very tasty and good value.
S. J.
Very nice atmosphere with very good food. Note that the outside area is self-service at least for ordering; meals are brought to your table though.
S. W.
Excellent food, great service, reasonable prices and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We all loved it. And - hot tip - you can’t leave without trying the homemade three chocolate cookie with ice cream OMG
G. H.
Visited again last night. Lovely evening with my wife great service as before from chris and thanks you for my roasted chicken chef adrian.
P. C.
Used to be great food and a lovely atmosphere. While this hasn't exactly changed the portions have gotten a lot smaller so it really feels overpriced now. It has never been cheap but it used to be worth it. I'm hoping this was just one bad day but I wouldn't bet on it.
D. H.
Lovely food. Service a little slow, though this could be as a result of current restrictions.
A. M.
This is a very smart pub with a spacious clean and well maintained interior. There is lots of interesting and comfortable seating and great selection of food. Service was prompt and attentive.
T. P.
Great food and service both lunch and dinner. Affordable and well curated wine list. Advise booking ahead especially for larger parties.
S. W.
Popped in for an early lunch and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We are going back for some dinner!
T. H.
I didn't eat here but the restaurant was busy at lunchtime. I was pleased to see Ringwood 49er on the pump but the price was very expensive. I suppose if you want to sit in leather seats then you have to expect to pay more.
K. G.
First class service
Great selection of drinks and cocktails
Amazing food
S. W.
Quick service, great outdoor area for the dogs, food was really nice as well
R. B.
Fantastic place, food was wonderful and the experience was made even better by our waiter Chris who made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be going back again
S. L.
Staff seem a little distracted and could benefit from some customer service training. Worth a visit as the food quality is good. Shame about the staff letting it down but maybe it was just a bad day.
K. H.
Great atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Came for the first time for an early Christmas get together, will definitely come again.
R. M.
Food was really nice, Joe was really nice and friendly, and so was Robyn who definitely served me! Would defo come again 💖
A. M.
Very nice atmosphere, food looked very well presented. Good selection of beers, wines etc. Upscale place to go for a special event.
P. G.
Good food, a tad pricey maybe. Nice old building and big grounds that open on to the park.
D. W.
Delicious food. Great ambiance. Good selection of beers, wine and cider. Great service. Clean and modern with a cosy pub feel
B. H.
Great for business lunches, late night romantic meals with my wife. A little on the pricey side but well worth it as the menu is second to none in the area.
K. O.
Normally very good but there were some issues on this visit
C. S.
Great experience when dining here. Food was piping hot and melted in my mouth.
S. H.
I wish I had remembered but it was a regular person, young gentleman
P. M.
After taking a month or 2 off from coming here I am pleased to say the quality of the food has improved. The burger was much nicer and especially good with halomi in.
J. C.
Great food and a really classy atmosphere. Lovely place to have lunch or dinner
S. B.
As a weary traveller looking for a warm and comfortable spot to quench a thirst and satisfy a hunger you can't go past the Chilworth Arms. Friendly staff, a great atmosphere and some of the best pub fare I've had anywhere! I'd definitely recommend the Roasted Pork Belly or Beer Battered Line Caught Cod! Paired with a Meantime Lager on tap or even a bottle of wine from their extensive range you'll wander out entirely satisfied. 9/10 from this Aussie critic 👍
A. W.
Had a lovely meal in front of the fireplace on a rainy day. It was the perfect autumn setting. Highly recommend.
M. H.
Excellent service! Would recommend this place to anyone who has not been before. Our waiter Chris was fantastic! Very patient and helpful. Thank you.
D. K.
In terms of value for money, the Chilworth Arms is very good. However, it is quite basic: rooms are simple yet cosy and the bar and restaurant areas need a makeover. The staff are always very friendly and I will return many more times.
K. T.
The two course lunch for £10.95 is very good, although I wish you still offered the sticky chicken. Drinks prices are to be expected for Chilworth, but some of us only work here!
M. G.
Restaurant full.....
Bar not serving food....
Quite expensive too
However clean and well maintained pub..
Friendly bar staff....
Restaurant manager was asked by a member of staff if we could book he just said no were full and walked away....
But we found we could book a table for later that even online...
J. D.
Good food, wide selection of drinks and lovely decor.
C. M.
Good space around. It was cold. Service good. Food nice enough. I had the seafood linguine but the prawns were unenjoyable and translucent. Puddings nice.
I. S.
Myself and 3 friends had lunch at the Chilworth Arms today, we all agreed the food, service and the surrounding were perfect. We will be going back very soon.
k. F.
Enjoyed meal. Professional staff. Thought the decor was vety retro
N. S.
Excellent menu offering a good selection, including vegetarian dishes. Similarly good service; you do need to reserve a table which is a good sign.
J. C.
Amazing food and service.
P. M.
Very nice decor and atmosphere, attentive staff and lovely food; and they sell Aspell cider which is a bonus!
A. G.
Good menu selection, good food, served by friendly staff in pleasant surroundings - all at a reasonable price. What more do you want? Hope to return soon.
N. P.
A really nice place to visit after a long walk in the nearby forest on the opposite side of the motorway. It was the first time I've been there a few days ago and is warm and welcoming. Plus the staff are friendly.
P. F.
We had a delicious meal. The service was friendly and made it a very enjoyable experience.
D. C.
Mid afternoon on a Friday, restaurant busy but lounge ok. Attentive staff, good pint of Landlord, food to table quick and good quality. Not a cheap venue!
J. C.
Had an amazing Steak meal tonight. Served by Chris. Very polite and well mannered staff member. Will definitely return.
V. N.
Guaranteed to be excellent. Good food, great se vice and very nice cocktails. I have been back many times.
P. C.
A Bar at the front and a restaurant at the back, where you can book tables. A good selection of food, which is well prepared. The service was excellent. Crowded when I was there.
E. E.
Very disappointed we have been coming to the Chilworth Arms for over a year .we visit every 2 months .we ask for a particular table when we book at the end of the meal.on the last 2 occasions we have not had the table we booked. Tonight I asked for Apple rhubarb crumble .there were two pieces of rhubarb the rest was Apple. The table us booked under the name of Sheppard.
M. M.
Good food and reasonable price. Clean and well maintained restaurant decor. Lovely place beer in garden or dining.
S. B.
Lovely ambiance but slow food service. Great food. We had a problem with flies whilst there but I'm sure this was a one-off.
S.
Lovely staff & the best fillet steak we've had in a long time, not impressed with the cheese & biscuits though so give that a miss.
D. P.
The Restaurant staff have always been first class. On the very rare occasions I have had a grumble about the food, they just sort it out.
M. M.
Friendly, polite and welcoming staff. Just had a drink and some chips, but appeared to have a good selection of food. Comfy seats!
j. w.
An imposing building in lovely settings but a bit disappointing on entry. Ordered two sandwiches which were fresh and attractively served by the friendly bartender.
P. R.
Excellent service, food was lovely. We were in a large group but nobody had to wait all served together.
H. _.
An excellent pub deserving the gastro prefix. Choice of beer is limited, but otherwise not a lot to fault. Streets ahead of the chilworth manor where we stayed, and an easy 5 minute walk from there
k. k.
Food was superb, great table service and good social distancing measures.
N. H.
More of a gastropub/restaurant than a pub. Quite expensive, but worth every penny. There is an extensive menu, and the quality is excellent, served by friendly efficient staff.
R. T.
Very good food. At a reasonable price as we had 3 courses for £15.95. Service is friendly.
R. T.
2 nights away on business. Called in here Friday and enjoyed the food so returned tonight. Shame it's soooo noisy by the bar but the restaurant is much more enjoyable.
K. C.
Best food I'd had I ages. Sat outside in a beautiful heated patio area. Highly recommend this lovely place.
C. B.
Came in for a some food with family, staff and food was excellent, delicious food and attentive staff, would definitely recommend!
Can’t wait to come again!
M.
One of the best restaurants around here. Love the pub and always a nice atmosphere for a drink or two
t. 3.
Good food, access to the Roman Road behind. Can be quite busy - justifiably so. Roman Road can be an interesting walk, see my photos here :-)
C. A.
Best halloumi fries
K. B.
Food was great, great atmosphere
P. T.
Great service, gantastic food. Nice and relaxing.
R. G.
Great lunch, good value. Shame sunshades do not lower to shield glare and heat. (Decorative only).
G. V.
Covid-19 precautions carried out very well, so felt safe.
Food and service very good. Will definitely go there again.
B. L.
Nice place, friendly and very helpfull people. (The owner gave us a lift to St. Marys stadium because no Taxi was available) thank you very much, that was great.Good food and drinks .
J. P.
Good ambiance and nice food.
A bit expensive for a pub.
They have a wide selection of wines (not very common on a pub).
Service could be faster.
A. B.
Totally overpriced. Good food nice staff.
h. h.
Always love coming to the chillworth arms, the pub garden is fantastic, always clean and all the waitresses are very friendly 10/10
I highly recommend that people come here for food and drinks.
K. P.
Superb food, good surroundings, pleasant staff.. Friendly nice outside tables. Clean and tidy
V. K.
Lovely location, not so great at the food or serving it. But the beautiful garden made up for the service.
s. l.
Very nice place, good food, friendly staff and a good atmosphere.
D. D.
Love their vegan menu, great service from our waiter too. Lovely lad who was chatty and inclusive 🥰🥰🥰🥰
R. A.
excellent setting and atmosphere. very good quality food for a great price. service a little slow, tho. would def return!
K. C.
My expectations of service and standard of food exceeded the reality given the location and the prices. I am surprised that it was so popular on a Wednesday evening after my personal experience.
J. F.
Nice selection of drinks and decent atmosphere for a monday afternoon.
M.
Great atmosphere, the garden is beautiful and the food is brilliant! I couldn't recommend this place more, 5+ stars
M. W.
Went for Christmas day meal the veggie option arrived like warm and no roast potatoes. Given the cost of this it was mediocre to say the least. Quite disappointing really
J. W.
Brilliant place to meet friends. . . oh, and the food is yummy too! Friendly helpful staff make it a great experience.
J. T. (.
Convenient location. Plenty of tables for eating. I had trio roast. Beef and pork was a bit chewy. Good size portions.
H. A.
Brilliant food! It's very nice inside and they are dog friendly (in the bar area)
T. C.
Quite nice location and ok food but service could have been better. It would not put me off going back if I was passing.
E. B.
Menu looked good, very expensive. Didn't eat here as they were unable to seat a party of 8.
J. S.

Can be crowded but good food and accessible from M3 and M27 so a useful and comfortable spot for business meetings without a corporate feel. Good free parking.
