G. A.Took 8 friends for lunch today and couldn't have been more pleased. Beth was a delightful host and nothing was too much trouble for her. . The food was excellent and the Christmas pudding boozy but delicious. A lovely warm ambience. Altogether an extremely enjoyable lunch time.

N. N.Went for lunch but had only 30 minutes. Explained the time pressure to the waitress who was very friendly and helpful. She guided us through the lunch menu in terms of how quick the dishes were. We had a beef and cheese wrap, and fishfinger sandwich; both came quickly and were delicious. Will go again, and try to spend longer!
D. E.Went in for breakfast. Full English was very good and a reasonable price. Steve and Cliff welcomed my cavapoo with open arms. She had treats bought over too. Very relaxed atmosphere - I will definitely be visiting again.

K. H.Had an unplanned roast here this weekend. I was starving and tired and didn't want to cook.
The staff were very attentive and I can't fault them.
Unfortunately I think we went close to the end of food service and the beef and Yorkshire certainly weren't as they would have been several hours earlier.
I was having a mental battle, if they did a check back would I say anything...the food was "ok" but dry...but I was starving and didn't want them to take my food away! As it turns out they didn't check back until we had finished, my partner did tell the waiter, but we weren't offered any reduction (I work in this industry, I know we should have said in the beginning, but I also know I'd have offered a token discount)
Having said this, we did eat here in the summer and the food that time was excellent.
So I would go again, but not for a 4pm roast!!
C. W.Lovely friendly pub. In 2019 I rated this 2 stars. It was full of teenagers on weekend evenings. Vast improvement. Great atmosphere, great staff, reeeeally great food!
