Reviews of Farmers Home
N. H.
Very good location, easy parking and next to a farm -hence the name- the restaurant / pub has a large beer garden and a playground for the little ones.
Service was excellent, attentive and all the staff interacted very well with our children.
The food was great, though the king prawn Thermidor had three king prawns and loads of baby shrimp (?). Nonetheless, it was delicious. Would definitely go back.
J. D.
Fabulous restaurant hidden away from the masses. Lovely service, great decor, very tasty food. Not the cheapest, but this is definitely a case of 'getting what you pay for'
10/10.
D. K.
Such a delight to find a traditional pub really hidden away. The menus offer a good variety of dishes. Ordered steak and kidney suet pie and pork belly, both dishes were yummy. Service was good. Lovely garden a play area for the kids too.
S. W.
Lovely food, nice garden and even though very busy for Sunday lunch the service was speedy
P. P.
Love this country pub
Food is always fresh and hot.
Service was warm and friendly.
Highly recommended

Went here last Sunday afternoon. This was a family 18th celebration. We had excellent service. The staff was very helpful and kind. The meals were very nice. Some had Roast. Enjoyed it very much.
M. s.
Absolutely brilliant lunch/dinner today (Sunday).
4 adults, 2 kids, 1 baby.
Service was quick and good.
Portions for kids were great sizes for about 8-10 yr olds.
Puds were good well.
Playpark was great as well.
Only things not quite brilliant were lack of kids cutlery and a cramped restaurant.
That being said, it wouldn't stop us from recommending to other families.

Just found a gem of a place in Durley. The Farmers Home, pub restaurant. Had a delicious main meal and desert. We moved here last year and have been testing out the local pubs for food. We both agree The Farmers Home is one of the best for Home cooked food and big mention to Jake the barman. Such a warm welcome and value for money well done.
S. F.
Staff are very friendly but food not exceptional, venue is not friendly to those who have physical disabilities and can't negotiate steps. Toilets feel old and building decor is tired inside. More could be made of the amaxing garden space.
E. H.
Lovely pub in the middle of the countryside. Friendly staff and great food. They also sell local grown strawberries which are delicious.

Lovely country pub in the village of Durley. Popped in for lunch whilst looking around the village reminiscing about holidays there with my grandparents in the 70's. Very nice food and local ale and all for a tenner. Hosts were most welcoming, would definitely recommend.
S. H.
Brilliant. Came 2 years ago for valentines and managed to bag the same table.
Food is excellent, we shared the camembert from the specials board then had a mixed grill and steak and kidney pudding (again from the specials board). Cant fault any of it, tasty, hearty and well presented. A glass of Rioja and 2 pints of really good local ale but no room for dessert. 55pounds all in, good service and we will be back next time we arevin the area.
C. F.
Lovely pub beautiful location staff great food wonderful lots of choice on the menu will go back
S. S.
Fantastic food, great service very olde pub, lovely character first class
Well done

The farmers home is quaint and staff very good .I feel it's a bit tired tho we came today for Sunday lunch 27 2 22 and it's not changed a bit altho I think they have double glazing now !
We sat at a table for 2 and just to the side of a table of four already gone was a dirty napkin under the chair which was obvious and it just stayed there the whole time throughout our meal which was not nice I no covid etc it was picked up just as we were finishing our sweets ...not good really .. shame !!
V. M.
Lovely pub\restaurant. Friendly, efficient staff. They laid on a smashing buffet for our post funeral lunch.
D. P.
Good atmosphere, large varied menu, excellent food & service. Slightly pricey for basic pub grub but definitely worth a visit
M. S.
This venue has changed hands. The HSB beer was served off to my husband and it was replaced with an average other beer. He usually looks forward to a good pint there. The Christmas lunch was ok, nothing special.
M. C.
The food is very good here staff very friendly I know they have to do this because I covid but in March when it's wet and cold and the windows open can be cold for parents who are in their 80s.
S. G.
Pretty good overall, just the waitress was rushing around and served me Pepsi Max when I asked for Pepsi without offering the bottled coke. Not the end of the world but the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
D. S.
Brilliant tasty food, great service, people with disabilities were well catered for ,thanks for a lovely meal ,see you soon
S. L.
Homely pub with lovely atmosphere and good choices on the menu enjoyed our 3rd meal there see you again soon!😃
J. C.
Lovely proper country pub, food was delicious, would definitely recommend.
L. B.
The service wasn't amazing as they had loads of trainees in but the food was excellent we loved it
M. A.
LOVERLY OL TRADITIONAL PUB, THE FOOD IS FIRST CLASS, THE STAFF ARE VERY GOOD AND THE ATMOSPHERE, IS VERY WELCOMING.
FIRST CLASS, WILL BE GOING BACK.
S. W.
A pleasant country pub. Cozy. A reasonable menu and plenty of choice for my daughter's gluten free needs. Service very friendly but quite slow. Food OK but had to remind them of certain things eg egg left off burger. My fillet steak was nice enough but I did make it clear I like it just tossed in the pan but cane rather more cooked than would have liked. The Eton mess - was a mess. Mainly a pile of cream.
P. W.
Wonderful service wonderful freshly cooked food. Thank you. Will definitely recommend a visit.
M. C.
This place is an absolute gem, situated in a beautiful little village. Great staff, good service, the food is excellent and a good range of beers. Lovely beer garden, and an interesting clientele, some of whom turn up in horse and cart. A good spot to start and end a relaxing walk in the Hampshire countryside.
D. M.
Nice country pub .
Friendly well managed.
Excellent for family get togethers and events.
R. T. (.
Comfortable warm atmosphere,with responsive staff.
Also ample seating for dining, with a large car park to match
G. S.
Good beer. Good service.friendly FOH staff
One critic. I had starter off of special board not very hot on arrival at table but acceptable.
M. p.
always loved coming back to the Farmers home for a lovely meal.
When I living in a village it was my local pub.
L. W.
First time in this pub, wonderful spread, lovely village pub.
I. M.
Good real ale selection. Nice 'Ye Olde' decor. Most pleasant staff.
J. A.
Food was excellent as well as the staff . Already booked for Mothers Day.
S. C.
Very welcoming food really nice enjoyed our evening
S. P.
Great pub great food nice and tucked away in the little village of Durley.
R. S.
Very good menus the specials board looked very interesting too. Great to see a proper pub serving very good food but with no pretence to be a "gastropub" surprisingly huge inside rather like The Tardis, large hidden gardens as well, lovely setting and very friendly staff.
C. B.
Lovely country pub serving well presented and tasty meals from a varied menu eith daily specials. Burger and chips, yes simple but the beef pattie was well seasoned and moist with fresh crisp salad and burger sauce. Bun lightly toasted. One of the best we hv tasted. I chose from the specials Dover sole with prawns. Large fish beautifully presented and served with new potatoes and seasonal veg. Cooked to perfection. For £40 including a couple of rounds of drinks, a lovely late Sunday lunch. Option of quiet snug ir larger dining area or outside tables with a large kids park. Lovely afternoon out
A. T.
Good food friendly staff - really enjoyed this place
K. M.
Lovely venue with a big garden. Service was ok. We just had a couple of disappointing sandwiches and kids meals. The bread was a bit stale and the fillings weren't up to much on the sandwiches. The kids meals were ok.
S. W.
Lovely food here today, compliments to the chef👌 - we had the mixed grill and king prawn thermador. Very well organised with outdoor seating or seating in the marquee. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
R. W.
Lovely experience, staff very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and hot.Looking forward to a return visit.
L. m.
Lovely meal, great service. The chocolate brownie is to die for.
F. M.
Lovely food. Great service. Made our Christmas meal very special.
M. M.
Nice friendly pub. The drinks were spot on. The food was ok, quite expensive for what you got. However it was nice and the staff were very attentive. Would go again.
C. B.
Great local pub, nice atmosphere, good food, but we unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with service. We requested mixers with other drinks that we were told were available, then when our drinks arrived they were served with different mixers. When we enquired about it we were told “we don’t have the mixer, but we’ve put a garnish in” (!!!), a comment that came with a bit of attitude and without an apology - we were stunned!
When ordering pudding, we requested to swap ice cream with custard, we were told that could be done, but finally all puddings arrived with ice cream. We did not have a chance to question this before they walked away. After hearing us talking about it between us, a lady came back asking “did you order custard with your pudding?”, we said we had indeed but not to worry about it (at that point we had decided to accept the puddings with ice cream, to save us the hassle of returning them). To that, the lady said “oh sorry” and simply walked away.
Mistakes do happen and it’s perfectly understandable, but it’s how they’re dealt with that makes a difference for a business. It’s very disappointing for an otherwise lovely dinner experience to be tarnished by the failings of below-par customer service.

Weekend Lunch
Popped in to see Jason and the team for a very enjoyable meal.
The garden is large and has a whole bunch of available tables to eat outside on a 1st come 1st served basis, which is brilliant.
They do also have tables inside which can be used and pre-booked anytime.
The corona virus layout is very good. They have a one way system in place and everything is sanitised.
Had salmon and a burger which was really tasty and some good ale.
Highly recommend this venue as the food is very good and it’s definitely a corona safe environment.
They have parking and space for kids to run around in the play area.
Cost wise it’s very reasonably priced, they have a varied menu and we would definitely go back again.
E. L.
There seemed to be no staff policy over wearing masks or COVID precautions. To be honest the main courses were pretty average but the puddings were nice
L. R.
I love the farmers home! We regularly go for lunch and it is never a bad experience. Great place great food...and nice staff.
K. C.
The food was very good quality and tasty but concerned about lack of social distancing of the staff. We were served with staff wearing no face masks and handling plates and glasses without use of trays. Other establishments I have been to all drinks have been served by staff placing tray on table and customers picking these off the trays. This is something I feel the management need to look into.
M. B.
Great ambience, good attentive staff. We ate inside and felt safe. Haven't been out for a meal since restrictions lifted, but felt safe. Thank you Management and staff.😀
K. F.
Such a lovely country pub. Lots of choice on the menu not to mention the specials board. Very welcoming and friendly staff. A must visit if in the area.
J. C.
Great food and great atmosphere in this quaint country pub. Helpful staff considering I am, not of my own choosing, very picky! Some gluten free options available, which is great! An option for a lactose free sweet on your 2 course menu? Just a thought. Otherwise fantastic place to eat!
E. H.
Great pub in a quite rural area. Big garden with lots of seating, excellent homemade meals in the restaurant.
M. S.
Great food, great service and friendly staff
C. M. E.
Excellent food & service - great local country pub - plus the serve HSB !!
R. M.
Nice large garden. Good beers. Restaurant has limited space so booking is recommended. Limited menu and a bit expensive.
D. Y.
We went here for our first meal out since lockdown and it was absolutely superb! Lovely friendly staff who acted like we were one of the family and the food was superb too. I had Pork fillets with a Deep Fried Brie starter and my husband had Tempura Shrimps (Prawns really!) and Chargrilled Pepper Chicken main, washed down with Thatcher's Gold as he is mostly a Cider drinker. We'll be back!
a. t.
Lovely food. Cosy surroundings. Very helpful staff
D. G.
Nice building, very thorough hygiene and tracking process. Staff very attentive but not intrusive. Food was good overall a bit dissapointed by none meat options. Went as a family group and standard kids menu. Good pub grub.
G. R.
4 of us dined on saturday evening, all had starters and mains. On the whole very nice food, one minor complaint, I choose a mushroom and pepper strogonoff with rice, which unlike every other meal didnt come with a side of vegetables or salad, why not? Is it because the 6 mushrooms and 4 slices of red pepper were considered to be veg enough? Wont be ordering that again.
H. W.
Lovely food, very good waitress/waiter service.
D. C.
Good menu choice, they offer gluten & dairy free options. Very friendly staff & very helpful. We were meeting friends but were unsure how many people would be coming & how many would be eating, but that was not a problem, the staff sat us at a good table where we could have extra people join us. Open fire near the bar, lovely & cosy. Have been here in the summer too & the garden area is a good size.
B. K.
Good Food and Good Staff. A very pleasant evening and would recommend for any one looking for good quality food served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Excellent
J. W.
Friendly staff, who are doing their best during these difficult times. The food was disappointing. We all ordered salads, simple enough you would think. The ham on one was plentiful and the beef on another was good. The prawn Marie rose however was very small quantity, small spoonful of coleslaw, loads of new potatoes (presumably to fill us up) and as for salad, what salad ! It would have been fine as a garnish but this was a main meal. It literally consisted of 2 lettuce leaves, 1/4of a whole tomato, a few pieces of cucumber skin and a few small slices of onion and pepper. Sent it back for more salad and it came back hardly any different. I know we were getting money off as it was Wednesday, but come on ...it was only salad and it is in season isn't it. Wont be back I'm afraid.
J. M.
Beautiful country pub. Lovely gardens to enjoy a drink and a snack good quality food quick service. Would highly recommend
J. H.
Excellent service, good value tasty meals with a wide choice to suit all diners. Recommended venue for families. Great visit and eating experience.

Had a lovely time and great food last evening. The poor waitresses looking after 11 adults. Took our orders where upon about half a dozen people changed thier minds about what type of potatoes they wanted. We were not an easy crowd to look after. But they kept cheerful. A lovely evening was had by all but expect they were glad to see the backs of us. Thank you very much.
K. O.
Beautiful pub, good pub garden - a bit of play equipment for the kids (although a bit dated).
Wasn't very impressed with the menu, a bit old fashioned. Food was good, but service was slow - waited 25 minutes just to get our desserts!
Cost was well overpriced in my opinion - It cost us £85 to feed a family of 4 (one meal being a kids meal)... £3.50 just for a bit of kids ice-cream was too much.
Would go again, but only for a drink and to let the kids play.
M. C.
Really nice, big garden. Fairly standard pub menu but v good and good portion sizes 😋
H. S.
Lovely food, with lovely surroundings. Pretty damn perfect 😊
L. H.
Great food and reasonably priced. It's a popular and busy pub with a good sized outside seating area. They seemed short staffed on the day we visited, so we had to wait a long time for our food, and they forgot to bring out half of the coffees we ordered after our meal, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
A. S.
Lovely food, lovely garden with well spaced tables and good covid processes, felt very safe. Amazing desserts, even got custard instead of ice cream. Great with kids. Recommended!
J. M.
This was for a Wake, during the pandemic. Food was great and I to take a doggy bag home. Recommend this pub, as it is off the beaten track with no passing trade.
S. P.
Absolutely love this delightful pub. Amazing food, fabulous & friendly staff - especially the manager Nic, excellent service, fantastic choice of ales and their new rhubarb cider is simply wonderful. Beautiful garden, the whole place is full of charm and character. Definitely recommend for a relaxing drink or a delicious meal out.
J. w.
We didn't eat just went for a drink. A charming pub tucked away down a single track road. Friendly staff and quick service. Being a lovely summer evening we sat in the large garden which also had a covered area and children's play area.
All in all a great find, and we will be back to sample the food soon.
D. C.
Have been to Farmers Home many times over the years and always had good service, food etc. This time the food was good, but slightly below normal standard. Asked for M/R steak and arrived well done. I like steak pretty much how it comes but prefer M/R. Service was good as always.
k. y.
We loved it. Great food, happy environment.
Happy well helpful staff.
We will be going back.
A. H.
Stopped off for dinner with family. Service spot on and food even better. Have been here many many times and they never fail to impress.
D. E.
Has a wonderful Sunday lunch today for a surprise 30th birthday. There were 55 of us in the garden room. The roast was hot and delicious with fresh seasonal veg. The puddings were yummy! The staff worked tirelessly in serving all meals at the same time. I would like to say a big Thank You and will definitely be recommending The Farmers Home and going back another day in the future.
C. B.
Lovely Sunday lunch, staff were great, cozy pub. Recommend.
G. C.
Been going here years years the food is fantastic. The cheesy garlic bread is amazing
C. S.
Everything about the service took longer than it should have - the pub wasn't particularly busy, and there was an appropriate amount of staff. They just all vanished.
My steak was overcooked and underwhelming, but again couldn't find any staff to mention it to.
Parents enjoyed their roasts however so I guess that's a redeeming factor.
Overall not the best experience.
P. H.
Traditional old style pub that has a restaurant area .
Nicely decorated and has a very comfortable appeal.
Good selection of food on menu and can say that what our party was eating was started to a good standard.
I have given a four star rating because the staff were not very attentive and their attention had to be gained on numerous occasions when requiring drinks.
This was despite it was a Thursday and relatively quiet
All in all I can recommend the Farmers Home but be patient
R. P.
Great meal at Farmers Home, a pub we have not been to for many a long year. It will certainly be sooner rather than later for next time. The gammon steak, new potatoes, veg were excellent
C. R.
Lovely relaxed garden setting, sadly let down by very poor service and average food. The chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding were really good though
D. O.
Good food, good portions, good prices!
Went here with as part of a large family get together a couple of weeks ago and loved the outdoor space - ideal for letting the kids go have a play whilst the adults sorted the food orders etc.
When the food arrived it was all really good and arrived pretty much together! Not bad for a busy Sunday and a large party turning up!
J. g.
Lovely night, great food, even better boose. .. staff and land lady are so nice and gernally make sure your having a good meal and a nice evening. Gone here for lunch loads and never had a bad meal, but my god just had our first dinner there and it was sooooo good and Brill price.

Visited today for our works Christmas meal.
Food was absolutely stunning, we were all served on time, was piping hot and delicious. Friendly, helpful staff too. Highly recommend
H. B.
I regularly dine at The Farmers Home. A true country pub with a strong menu and wonderful specials. They also offer Gluten Free and dairy free options. Their puddings have been getting better in the last few months. The staff are friendly and can always answer any questions you may have. I would definitely suggest to anyone to dine here.
M. P.
Very good menu food really great and very well presented. Will certainly go back
P. P.
I visit this place regularly always very good food
A. L.
Not actually eaten here, but from what I could see coming out of the kitchen looked very appetising and a very friendly atmosphere
m.
Good mix of food, friendly pub for dogs. But could tell waiting staff were rushed off their feet which is expected due to certain circumstances.
A. G.
Traditional local pub with a great atmosphere and large outdoor garden.
Decent selection of drink and food and a decent selection of daily specials.
K. D.
Arrived at 4.30 and was seated in a not too busy eating area, he said he would be back for our drinks order, 4.50 I went to the bar as we didn't get any service, then had to wait for a while, I asked for white zinfandel he poured white wine!! Then i told him we would pay for drinks with our meal and he couldn't remember where he seated us, eventually managed to grab another member if staff to place our order, the meal came within 10 mins, food was great, hot and tasty, but service was rubbish.
V. V.
It's a very good restaurant! The food is delicious, and the service is excellent!
There is a play area where the children can to play.
J. S.
Nice garden so able to stay outside. Still nervous about mixing too much. Food was perfect and service was good. Well worth a visit. Think we'll be visiting here again.
T. M.
Popped in for a quick pint after a very soggy day at work. I was a mess thilthy but was aloud in and offered hospitality along with a beer. Chatted to a few of the locals finished my beer and Left. It was a very warm and cosy pub. It looked as though the garden was very nice although i had seen enough weather for the day.
Would definitely recommend if passing the food smelt very good. Very clean and all round very nice. Cannot comment on toilets as didnt use them.
Five star from me.
K. P.
Last year we had my father inlaws wake here,it made a great end to a sad day. The food provided was hot and superb quality, compared to a nearby hotel, it was excellent value!! We have been back since and were again impressed by the quality and also the atmosphere. Open fire and wood beams. A superb country pub! I think you may gather that the farmers home is highly recommended!!
D. C.
Lovely pub hidden away a real gem with plenty of character
G. P.
We were both so impressed with the warm welcome, atmosphere and setting - it felt like being in somebody's house especially with the log fire and Christmas decorations up, and that was before we'd even looked at the menu!
There was a huge variety of dishes which all sounded so delicious, and being gluten-free I had several options which doesn't normally happen when I go out to eat!
The quality of produce (all local) was wonderful, and there was a very good wine list too. My partner had a T-bone steak which two people could have shared, and I was so full after my poached salmon I couldn't manage any of the amazing looking desserts!
So definitely great value for money and everybody around us looked like they were having a great time too.
We were a little confused after looking at a couple of the reviews on here as we eat out a fair bit and would say our standards are high, but this pub certainly exceeded our expectations in terms of food, service and atmosphere and we will certainly be going back to try even more dishes - and hopefully manage dessert!
C. B.
Play area, very large garden area, decent food. Outdoor tables on one side could do with a bit of shade, felt like an oven with the clear roof. Overall would most definitely recommend, especially if you have little ones.
S. G.
Not the best steak, they left the rare off medium rare but nice Olde pub with decent range of beers
D. M.
Absolutely beautiful place to eat the food is lovely highly recommend
D. P.
Lovely food Lovely staff 😋

First time here. Found on rainy Sunday afternoon when in need of a good roast dinner. Me and my wife were not disappointed. Lucky (I think) to be sat immediately. Drunks ordered straight away and served promptly. My wife had the roast beef which was excellent. I ended up opting for the Gammon after seeing another table order it and it was lovely. They serve traditional English deserts which are served simply in bowls like you would at home. I liked this and it seemed quirky. I had the Eton mess and my wife had the Creme Brulee. We both agreed they were excellent. Bill came to £40, very reasonable. The atmosphere was great and a perfect example of an traditional English pub. Other dishes coming out looked very good too. I look forward to trying them on our return where hopefully we will be able to make use of the massive beer garden. I could not fault the place. We were served by three waitresses and made to feel very welcome. Great find!
N. T.
Good food made use of eat out to help out offer. Lovely garden. Friendly staff good value for money good spacing between tables.
L. F.
Always courteous service and quality food. We recently went on a cloudy day started in the garden but became too cold and windy so asked to come inside, even though restaurant was busy they found a table for us. Visited with my 82 year old mother and 8 year old daughter and they both loved their lunch.
D. O.
Really enjoyed our evening at the Farmers home. Good food, good beer, and great garden for the kids.
P. F.
Fine Sunday lunch, granddaughter cleared her plate and then spent good half hour playing in the garden on their extensive play equipment. Fine beer for the grown ups. Well worth a visit.
A. H.
Christmas lunch - overcooked Yorkshire pudding and pig in blanket black. Had to wait over 30mins for mains to arrive. The other 2 tables had their Xmas mains very quickly. It's almost like they forgot us. After hearing how great this pub is, it was very disappointing.
A. A. D. H.
Great food, friendly service and a lovely setting
B. F.
Excellent food and service as always. Staff are polite and very helpful.
J. B.
Good place to eat. Very good quality food, good menu, very pleasant pub with excellent service. Very highly recommended.
S. H.
Visited today on a whim whilst out, wow what a lovely place, the service and food were excelent. Even though we are an hour away we will be going back.
R. S.
Nice country pub. Large garden, and good food
S. B.
13 of us booked for a 40th birthday on Sunday 28th July and as was expected it was a busy time. The staff were rushing about being busy so getting our order in took about 30mins. Most of our party ordered the roast which when it arrived looked great, but unfortunately although most of the meal was fine all the roast potatoes were burnt. Actually black. This is most unlike other times we have eaten here and hopefully was just a one off.
D. D.
Today (5th Jan 2020) 30 of us celebrated my mum's 80th birthday lunch here. The pub also had normal Sunday trade as well as accommodating us and our individual needs. Nicky and the team looked after us all extremely well, the food was lovely, we, particularly the birthday girl went home very happy. From liaising with Jojo beforehand everything worked like clockwork.
Thank you!
C. K.
Great food and excellent service
S. W.
This is a nice old village pub, which has unfortunately decided to charge high prices for food which doesn't have the quality to match.
c. p.
The garden area has plenty of tables and a childrens play area. It's neat and well kept
We had a lovely ploughmans and cheesy chips and the lasagne is delicious. Lots of gluten-free options and many g/f puds. A great place to eat outside
P. j.
What a super evening, the food was absolutely fabulous the staff were really helpful and attentive looked after us throughout our excellent meal thank you for a cool experience. Definitely 5 stars .

This is tucked away in country roads but the locals clearly know all about it! Busy on a Sunday as they were doing a roaring Sunday roast. Good portions but incredibly tasty with lots to choose from off the normal menu as well. Oh this place is going into my google maps for sure.

We went here for a group Christmas meal, the food was ok although we had a long wait for each course. One of the servers came out and said 'I don't know what this dish is or who it's for so can someone tell me' which was surprising. Part of the Christmas meal cost included tea and mince pies at the end which never came.

About 50 of us turned up for what we thought was a booked event. Only to find out we had made a mistake and there was no booking. The staff pulled out all the stops and prepared sandwiches, sausage rolls, falafels and chips for all of us, with no notice at all. We cannot praise this place highly enough. Thank you so much!
M. R.

Another excellent roast. The pub looked lovely and festive. The service was excellent, especially during these difficult times.
T. H.
We have just had a meal at the Farmers Home & we were really impressed with the service, the price & the amazing meal. We had pork in a brandy sauce, the meat was so tender & the sauce was absolutely scrummy. We will definitely be returning again soon.
A. K.
Good food and friendly staff 👌
J. S.

Such a cosy place, food was amazing.
On Sunday 8th April 2018 we visited this pub. I had the Lamb Shank with dauphinoise potatoes and my wife had veggie lasagne. If you do go on a Sunday please make sure you book a table in advance as it can get very busy between 12noon and 3pm for lunch.
Will definitely go back there when I go back to Botley.
Thank you to all staff at the Farmers Home.
C. M.
Beautiful venue and delicious food... Lovely little tucked away pub 😊
g. l.
Nice pub food good but bit pricey
C. W.
We came upon this country pub by accident. It was packed shortly after midday. Clearly a local's pub, with good beers and an excellent menu with many fish dishes. Will definitely return.
S. H.
Lovely pub, excellent food and reasonable prices. Menu varied and well marked with gluten and dairy free options. Staff efficient and friendly.
J. W.
All Very nice beer and food and service. The prices are more than we would normally pay at other pubs but all very good. we will try it again. Well done to the staff.
D. W.
Lovely pub in an out-of-the-place location that does good beer and food. Whether your eating in the garden or the restaurant the service and quality is superb.
J. B.

HSB bitter very nice.
Ordered 2 Ribeye steak meals with vegetables 1 with Stilton sauce....... The 2 steaks were very thin the veg fresh.
The steak made the meal a little disappointing.
L. G.
Good meal very busy a little bit more on the vegan menu would be good as there were no starters or pudding listed but what we had was nicely done
I. M.
Lovely food, quick service, clean and good outdoors for kids.
M. C.
I'd heard good things about this place but I thought the food was disapointing and extremely over priced. The surroundings were what you'd expect from an old English pub.
M. R.
Lovely quaint pub with a good garden in the countryside and a good play area for kids
R. P.
Overpriced, slightly pretentious and trying too hard to be something different. Great garden, but beware the exit from the car park. I can imagine that this venue would be fairly popular during school holidays and throughout the summer.
P. C.
Lovely pub and very accommodating. Very good food albert at gastropub prices and well kept real ale. Definitely recommended.
R. V. d. B.
Amazing food, very good service by far one of the best meals/service we had this year! 👍
P. R.
I've only given this place 3 stars cos I was only here for a few moments so don't really feel I can give a particularly accurate review. However it did seem friendly and we'll appointed. Looks as though it might get pretty busy at times.
