Been coming here for years. Brilliant pub with wonderful bar peeps and doorstaff. Always a good atmosphere with or without the live bands playing . Very much recommend a visit

Strange place. It's full on rock and metal but the decor is like a modern gastro pub. That said, everyone was super friendly and it's great to have a late night metal/alternative bar open in Southampton

Great atmosphere, kickass music on their jukebox ( which was free, the night we were there ). They also appear to be a dog friendly pub as two people stopped by with theirs, they let them wander around, while they got some drinks and some water for the pups. This bar is tailored well for rock and metal music lovers alike and it's very chilled. Drinks are decently priced and bar staff are super friendly too. This place will definitely be a regular haunt for us, whenever we visit SH.

So glad I found this place on Google Maps! Happened to find it on the day of a cover band playing, it was great fun. The prices at the bar are very reasonable and the bartenders are very nice. Came the next night to play the PS2 with a pint. Great place to hang out for anyone into rock and metal 🤘🏻

This is one of Southamptons great rock pubs 👍 it's located centrally in Southampton near the bus stops in Southampton centre but its also near the high St as well with fast food nearby in the form of burger King and other take outs not far if you fancy a burger or kebab. Good selection of beers, ales, ciders and spirits which are reasonably priced. The staff are very welcome and friendly and will always to help. There's live music in the form of bands who play on friday/Saturday nights which always generally attracts a full crowd plus a juke box which is packed with all of the rock and metal tracks you could want for 50p-£1.00 a go for 5 tracks. They do charge on the door on the band nights but it's only around £3-£4 a person. If your into your rock and metal this pub is well worth a visit for a good night👍

I only started coming last year and it's by the best pub in town. So many different people who make you feel at ease. I love the jukebox and the pool table. The bar staff are always really friendly too.

Brought my sons girlfriend who has recently turned 18 out for a night, starting here. Its long been one of my favourite places to start a night out and even with all the covid procedures in place the atmosphere was still everything I remember and the staff so friendly and helpful! Will be back again in a couple of months when my son turns 18 to kick off his celebrations in style!

I absolutely love firehouse. Great place to drink and socialise. They have a pool table and a jukebox (5 songs for £1). Everyone says it's only for people who are into rock music and anything alternative but this is completely untrue. Everyone makes you feel welcome. Will keep visiting in the future

Lovely central bar in Southampton. Music is often quite loud, perhaps too loud, but that's the way it is with pubs. Drinks are nice and decently priced, they've got lots of space and several pool tables and the establishment is clean and tidy. Special commendation to the bouncer who assisted with a friend who was distraught by previous events; bringing her tea, water and tissues and by being supportive. I'm very grateful for their caring attitude.

One of the few awesome pubs left in Southampton, especially now since the Alex has been purchased (ruined). No entry fees (as far as I know, and I recently visited on a Friday and a Saturday), nice staff and customers, and pool tables, which I firmly believe is the sign of a good establishment.

I've not been here since it was Boogies! Yes, thats how old I am! Great place in town where you felt that you didn't have to live up to the hype and endless rude people scrambling at the bar. There was a live band and a great atmosphere, with everyone there to enjoy a good night out. Recommend it if you want something a little different than the stereotypical establishments that populate most city centres.

I absolutely love this bar! It's different to your average bar. It's rock and heavy metal themed with regular live bands and reasonably priced drinks. Have been disappointed by the dirty vimtos since new management came along. Not what it used to be. The thing I love the most about the place is that it's a football free zone. No games on TV and no footy shirts allowed. Its my escape zone during the matches. Am going to be saddened when this place is replaced by another set of flats but hope a new venue is found within the local area.

The Firehouse is a really good pub that is centrally and conveniently located just a stones throw from the main shopping precinct in Southampton city centre. The majority of their customers tend to be rock/metal music lovers but you don't have to be a rocker/metalhead to enjoy their hospitality. Inside the atmosphere is relaxed and liberal and both the staff and the customers are friendly and welcoming. There's a well maintained pool table downstairs which gets plenty of use and I've been told there's another one upstairs plus a variety of other games and indoor amusements although I haven't had the opportunity to go upstairs as of yet. They have a decent selection of different alcoholic drinks to suit most tastes and I can definitely recommend the cocktail they invented in-house which they named the "Dirty Vimto." Their prices are reasonable but make sure you go to a cash machine before your visit as they do not accept credit/debit cards. They host live music acts most weekends which are very popular and, in my opinion, the jukebox in the Firehouse is without a doubt the best in Southampton for it's selection of music. I love this pub! 😝🤘

In all the years I've been to Southampton for a drink. I never knew this pub exisited till last week. The music in here is played via a jukebox. So if you're a rocker like myself, you're laughing. There are a couple of pool tables available aswell. The pricing to drink here isn't too bad either. However, it's a bit rundown. The toilets are not in the best of state and also the main floor by the bar. Saying that, I wouldn't expect anything less from a place that plays some really good tunes and if things like that don't bother you. You will enjoy it here, ideal to start the night off here.
