Reviews of Fox & Hounds
R. C.
A great lunch, exceptional service and really tasty food from the new spring menu. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. Plenty of parking.
C. T.
Another great meal at Fox and Hounds - staff always so welcoming - great service all round! Food always great! Staff very helpful. Special mention to Jackie who was great when we arrived and to Tom who kindly helped us move our booking as we were running late coming back from London.
G.
Fantastic meal here for three of us. The staff were attentive with out being in your face. A lot of people in here (customers) and you can see why. Clean, friendly, and fantastic food. Thank you so much for a great experience. We will be back.
J. A.
This is a really nice pub, dog-friendly, with seating outdoors and inside. Staff were very friendly and the food was great.
The only drawbacks were a couple of mistakes in our order - one of our party ordered the butternut squash special and got a veggie roast (although was happy to keep it in the end so didn't complain), and another ordered the beef roast dinner and got the slow-cooked beef on the bone which was £2.50 more, but again enjoyed it so didn't complain.
The beer selection was a bit disappointing - some average Greene King ales and standard lager like Fosters and Stella. A few rotating or visiting ales/craft beers would be a nice addition.
L. G.
What a nice meal out.
The menu is good with middle priced food.
The food was excellent , perfect cooked steak for my date and my hake steak chowder was absolutely devine.
The bar recommend a bottle of wine to go with the fish - and they were spot on with a New Zealand sauvignon blank.
Staff were patient and polite. Plenty of time to order and relax with a drink before the meal.
We were half an hour late for our booking and they didn't bat an eyelid!
Well done fox and hound. I will be recommending and returning.
J. P.
First time back here in years after a previous downturn in quality when it changed hands (10+ years ago) and was very happy we did come back. Food was freshly cooked and tasty as well as great desserts. Good service from the team, will be back!
S. M.
The service was great, all the staff were really friendly. Others at the table complimented the beef and ale pie! I wouldn’t however recommend the belly pork … overall a lovely pub 👍
M. P.
Always good food and beer.
Had meal for 5 people and the food was fantastic, great service and a lovely pub. Seating area outside so on nice sunny day, you can eat and drink outside. This is the perfect 'English' pub in a quiet country lane.

70th birthday meal 5/2/22.
On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff in particular (Megan) who was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you Megan.
The 14 family members all remarked that the meals were value for the amount we paid. Staff joined in singing Happy birthday with family to my wife. Lovely gesture.
HIGHLY RECOMMENED for a visit.
G. T.
Visited with wife who has back problems asked if could change her seat and they moved us to another table which was more comfortable very impressed the food was brilliant and reasonably priced and very cosy and welcoming. Already booked for valentine's on sat can't wait
S. A.
Lovely tasty hot and plentiful meal, can recommend the chicken pie delicious. Looked after by the lovely waitress Sarah. Great setting we will be back.
E. R.
It's so nice to find a childrens menu that isn't just chicken nuggets /sausages beans and chips
Our 15 month old loved the houmous and polished off a fruit salad afterwards. The waitrose was so accommodating. Thankyou for a lovely family meal out. We'll definitely be back. The food was amazing!
S. W.
We came to this place by chance as the place we booked messed up our booking! (Covid times🤨) but we were most grateful to have found this place, amazing service and food is top notch! Shout out to a new waitress, Jackie, very attentive and even turned AC off which was making us cold! Manager, Louis, is a ⭐
I. W.
First meal out after lockdown, and what a way to start! Absolutely gorgeous food. The Lasagne was so tasty. Lovely food, lovely surroundings, great service. Will definitely be going back... Thank you Fox & Hounds for a great anniversary lunch..
S. W.
Met up with four friends. Great food sensibly priced. Wonderful friendly service. Very comfortable table/seats. Thank you.
S. (.
Didn't prebook, and although they were extremely busy, they managed to squeeze 4 of us in.
All had roast dinners, and they were delicious, ample portions, and superb service 👌
Can't wait to go back, 10 out of 10, thank you.
L. L.
Service very good, and even seated us very early as we had got there much quicker than expected.
Food was perfect as always staff very professional
C. G.
Risotto should flow like a wave, not pile up like steamed rice.
My Sourdough was dry even for sourdough.
Ana a tad pricey for what we got!
L. S.
Excellent service and food, lovely clean friendly place would thoroughly recommend. Staff member Aisha very good.
J. W.
Came here for a meal for my birthday, as we had never eaten here before. The food certainly didn't disappoint!!
It was amazing, definitely one of my favourite pub meals.
The pie was to die for, and the lemon cheesecake was
The service was great, one lady who I assume was a manager even took the time to compliment my tattoo and had a conversation with us.
Our food was brought out quickly, the main wasn't brought out straight away, there was time to let the starter go down which was a plus for us.
We didn't feel rushed to leave either, we managed to have a drink for half hour after our pudding.
Would definitely go back!! Highly recommend!!
R. B.
Food was fantastic very friendly staff adam and team excellent service a really enjoyable evening will definitely be back
W. K.
Lovely location, great selection on menu & very friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.
S. V.
Lunch time service very good
Food pretty much whet you would expect from a chain pub was nice and hotb
R. S.
Popped in for a pint of Speckled Hen, it was okay. Cosy and warm inside and the staff were friendly, there are plenty of places to sit and gather if you have a big group of you. I did not eat so can't comment on the food but the Christmas decorations were up and gave the pub the festive feel. The only annoying point was the blown speaker which made the piped music sound worse than it was, the barmaid said a new set were on order as she lit the open fire.
D. H.
Very friendly staff. Had king prawns for starter, was surprised at how small they were, and only 4 of them. The pate was good but more toast would have been good. The chutney was the best part of both starters. The main we had signature hunters chicken. Very nice meal.
Only slight problem we had was that somebody had unscrewed the top to the salt shaker so the pot emptied itself on the chips, the staff instantly offered to swap the meal. Great service. Would recommend the place reserve judgment on the starters.
P. M.
I haven't visited this pub for some years.
The staff were very friendly and found my party a table although we hadn't booked by a lovely cosy real fire.
The pub has lots of character and the real ale very good.
Will be returning to try out the food soon as we didn't have time on this visit.
A perfect Christmas pub.
C. S.
Great old pub and restaurant. A little gem of a place we recently discovered. The food was amazing and very generous portions. Loved placing logs on the large open fire and the staff were attentive and welcoming. Will be visiting again soon.
J. T.
Booked a stall for COVID safety, prompt friendly service, food reasonably priced , very tasty & well presented. Fabulous sharing platter of puddings for just under £11 , highly recommended it was wonderful.
T.
First visit to this pub in very long time. Staff very friendly indeed and well organised to keep customers Covid safe. Only had drinks so can't comment on food but will go back soon and try out the menu!
J. N.
We were celebrating a friends surprise birthday meal, the staff were very charming and attentive. The menu had a good selection of different dishes, the food was hot and tasty and time between courses was great. Even without asking the staff made a great effort with our friends dessert of placing a candle and singing which was a lovely touch.
L. w. L. t. D. L.
Amazing staff and friendly customer service, good food and dog friendly.
Unfortunately, whilst visiting a member of our party became very unwell and an ambulance had to be called. Christine and the rest of the team were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more. They went above and beyond in every way and I cannot thank them enough. The elderly member of our party has made a complete recovery.
P. R.
We visited on a Sunday evening and were treated to a excellent meal. My brother and I had the mixed grill which was cooked to perfection, and m wife had the sea bass. The service was attentive and the toilets were spotlessly clean, and finally a lovely pint of Guinness. The mark of a good landlord. Well done and thank you to all
D. B.
Very nice surrounding's and friendly staff.
The gourmet burger was amazing and so were the chip's that came with it.
The scallop's were slightly under cooked with the sea bass but we were given a free dessert to compensate.
Will definately visit again.
S. W.
Beautiful find today! Lovely friendly staff. Will definitely be back to try the dinner menu.
S. P.
Had a mixed grill, meat was a bit dry, chicken breast was very small and flattened. Black pudding was cold. On the plus side the service was good.
B.
Really enjoyed our meal. We booked and visited late afternoon, easy to book a table online same day. Welcomed at the door and all staff very attentive and welcoming. Would go again.
T. M.
A little surprised today, not up to the standard I have come to expect. Although not that busy service was slow, in fact the waitress seemed to forget we existed taking orders from a table that arrived some time after we had. Meals didn't arrive at the same time and were not very warm. To top it all beef was very tough. I hope things are better when we visit next
K. B.
Friendly and polite service for our anniversary meal together. Something for all tastes on the menu and good value for money too...£61for 3 courses! And quaint country pub too.
E. K.
This is an amazing place! The food was really tasty and we had a great time in a super cozy environment! Our waitress Megan has been excellent, very friendly and helpful!
We wil definitely come back!
L. 2.
Fantastic food served here with excellent portions and tasty drinks. The service was very good
K. R.
I have never had a bad meal here the setting the food and the drink selection is a winner we had a extra bonus because we had collected £20 in Tesco clubcard points and on there website we exchanged them for £60 of chief and brewer vouchers so we had a great night for a 3rd of the price and they are very welcome to the vouchers because the staff use them
e.
First time visit and was very pleased with the food, the portions were just right. Will definitely be back.
B. O.
Food and drink was spot on. Service was brilliant. Would 100% recommend.
T. S.
Cracking place, good food, good price and nice friendly staff, can't wait to go back.
They accept the Gourmet card as well.
C. W.
Celebrated my brother in law 60th birthday and enjoyed a 3 course set menu absolutely enjoyable and great service x
S. K.
A very nice place with beautiful atmosphere. The meals were delicious. Overall, an incredible place and well worth the money.
L. C.
Lovely food but the service was not great
M. R.
Fantastic food and lovely staff, very professional and informative all for a good price.
L. M.
Amazing food, great customer service and social distancing was well adhered to.
Phoebe was friendly and very infoemative and attentive.
Fab evening out and felt safe all through.
D. G.
It was a lovely place and the staff very friendly
The food was great.will go back again
M. M.
My wife and I use this place about once per month. The down side is and this is my particular gripe you get called my lovely by a member of staff. I do not like this. Apart from that the food is good except for the steaks, I have had at least three steaks during my visits there but for some reason they cannot cook a steak. I like mine rare or at the most medium rare, never had it. I had to abandon a fillet steak as it was tough. The rest of the food is good, the lasagne is excellent, the fish dishes are very good. Overall it is very pleasant. On our last visit the service was dreadfully slow.
H. B.
Lovely pub with great staff, fish n chips... Amazing!
J. H.
Nice pub, very polite and helpful staff and yummy food. Only thing that let it down a little was the waiting time between ordering and the food coming out which was nearly 45 minutes. However, it was worth it when it did because it was great!
G. W.
Easter Friday dinner with family. Friendly greeting. We asked for a booth when booking and this was reserved for us. Great ambiance. Served by Megan who was superb. Friendly efficient and a good humour. Value for money especially with Gourmet card discount. Keep up the good work b

Came in for lunch to celebrate a belated anniversary today. Ordered two lovely sandwiches. The rump steak on sourdough was absolutely delicious and cooked the perfection, the mustard mayo had just the right amount of zing. The new York deli one was also delicious and pastrami made a nice change. The waitress Dee was lovely, very cheerful and bubbly, the food came out quickly too. Overall just a perfect anniversary lunch. Thank you
S.
Whilst the starter and dessert were very good, the main was disappointing. Staff were attentive.
m. w.
Nice setting Lovely food friendly staff and good value.
M. S.
Really good Christmas meal, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We did get a bit lost getting there 😂 but once we found it we had a great evening.
R. W.
What a great welcome back. A hidden gem.
The staff were warm and welcoming, we were seated promptly and offered drinks.
The staff were able to comment on the menu and offer suggestions.
Very reasonably priced and excellent food.
A great option of drinks and menu choice.
Look forward to returning.
B. M.
Extremely friendly staff in pleasant setting, but the food is basically Wetherspoon standard, though not as cheap.
J. G.
Great little pub but no TV for football fans and brilliant staff
C. E.
We were visiting friends yesterday who took us for an evening meal. The food was amazing, so much so, that I ended up having 2 meals and 2 desserts. Very well priced and the staff were really friendly with great service (especially Rebecca)
S. R.
Very nice food and our server was friendly, with good sense of humour. We were the last ones out at the end of the evening. Would definitely go back.
S. W.
A pleasant night had by all. Food was good but not anything extra special with average prices. Staff were friendly and efficient.
k. m.
We enjoyed a lovely meal today staff were all friendly and helpful.
Fantastic service and so many great choice of food. Especially when you have 8 & 12 year olds they don't have to pick from a child's menu as the lunch menu which is a perfect size and great value for money and much more choice.
Ashia was our waitress thank you 😊
i. o.
Great service good food and excellent staff who made you feel chilled thanks oz
D. A.
Good good and drinks. Service was spot on
A. U.
Lovely setting and very good food. We had mussels (excellent), king prawns (average), seafood grill (excellent), belly of pork (yummy) and lasagne (rich, very nice). Service very efficient.
S. L.
Went a couple of weeks ago and used our Tesco vouchers. The staff were very friendly and the place was really nice. Our food was ok, but sadly not perfect, which is why I gave it less than 5 stars. My husband asked for a medium rare steak with the mixed grill, but was well done. The rest was ok so he didn't make an issue of it. I ordered a side of vegetables, which was the worse part. They were microwaved and I literally had 2 pieces of broccoli, approx 5 slices of carrot and an inch of cabbage (I though it was just 2 veg, then found the cabbage under a carrot!). I mentioned it to the waiter and he said he thought there wasn't much either and would get another portion. When it was brought out the only difference to the last portion was having 2 pieces of cabbage!! It definitely made us all laugh at the table. The bill was confusing as had to be redone for the vouchers to be used correctly. We were on holiday and would go back in the hope it was a one off.
R. L.
Steve and Megan were amazing, fantastic atmosphere and food was amazing, really warm cozy pub, very welcoming, will definitely be back soon, fully recommend.... cheers guys xx
M. M.
A very nice pub. As a group of four we booked in a couple of days earlier. We were invited to our table and made very welcome. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Thank you. We visited the pub a few days later, as a group of six. The food and service was equally as good.
D. B.
Fabulous food and fabulous serving staff. What's not to love....
M. S.
Good food, polite and friendly staff.
S.
Have visited here a couple of times over the past month. Excellent food & great customer service. Booking online very easy and has been mindful of Covid protocols making it a great place to visit during these sometimes trying times.
D. W.
Nice Post Christmas meal. Staff were friendly and service was good. Food perfectly acceptable
c. b.
A truly lovely pub with great food and a warm atmosphere. Jackie welcomed us in a way that she truly cares. Louise also treated us beautifully. Many a restaurant should take a page from their book. Highly recommended!!
A. L.
A Beautiful pub with the barn attached.
Big old fireplace in the barn and lovely little nooks for privacy in the fox and hounds end. Fantastic food, and the millionaire cheese cake is to die for..
J. L.
Visiting family, so out for a meal. Staff very friendly, ensuring guests are receiving good service. Food good. Would we come again. 🤔 yes when we are next visiting.
G. W.
First class service and excellent meals. All well presented on our plates. We were very impressed with the quality of the services provided by our waitress Phoebe who was a credit to the the Fox & Hounds. Phoebe has excellent customer service skills and was much appreciated. Also, well done to the chef and unknown team members who provided a very safe and clean environment. Well done.
F. F.
10 of us including noisy nuisance kids were well looked after, service brilliant and season menu very good and well priced plus you cannot beat the ambiance of this place
T. C.
Nice cheap local pub, good food
A. P.
1st time there but really nice bar team really friendly
M. M.
Had a lovely meal here on the last day of our holiday - some of the best steaks we have ever had. Friendly, helpful staff and altogether well worth the trip down country lanes to reach this pub.
I. W.
Really nice pub and great food for the price.
G. D.
Extremely tasty food, and very well priced and nice coffees
M. B.
Went on Saturday for dinner. Once again they were fantastic. The food as always was great. Only eclipsed by the staff. All of the staff are a credit to pub. Whoever trains them should be congratulated on a wonderful job. These girls and boys could show top hotels how to serve, they all seem so happy to be there and really work as a team. Will be returning soon.
M. t.
Went with friends had Rib of beef was spot on service was lovely and friendly will be returning very soon
R. W.
Love this place food was good as always customer service good as well
K. A.
Had a great valentines day meal with my partner. Everything was excellent.
D. S.
Very strict social distancing measures in place and very clean and felt safe. Full briefing of all measures from waitress who was very friendly and bubbly. Food was outstanding and service was quick . All in all very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Many thanks we look forward to returning soon.
m. “. s.
This place has always been good but on my last visit it left me quite annoyed. Food was good, but when it came to dessert we were left looking at the menu for over 20 minutes. On several occasions throughout the evening I saw 3 members of staff standing at the bar chatting and this continued while we tried to catch their eye to order. This has only happened on 1 occasion and like I said this is normally top of the list for a good meal out with my family. Yes I will be going back but I do hope the staff are more attentive
J. O.
Came here on Friday night with the Mrs for a lovely meal. Great service and smiles all round. Made our night great, waitress was excellent forgot their names but was a great service. Lovely inside and outside, if we are in the area again we will be back! Thanks for a lovely evening. Shoulder of Lamb was out of this world!!
K. K.
Good for and great staff. Very enjoyable lunch
p. f.
Fantastic food and service really enjoyed it. Staff were excellent
c. c.
This restaurant is fab. It has loads of different choices to eat and drink. It is children friendly so it has kids menus as well as adult menus. Their meals are delightful
G. S.
Came for fathers day meal, which was prebooked. we had the Sunday roast as part of the set menu for fathers day, we were informed they had run out of Yorkshire puddings which was supposed to be included with all Sunday roasts. we asked if possible to have a few extra potatoes or something else to substitute the Yorkshires we were told "no but there are sides on the menu we can pay to have". The vegetables were extremely undercooked, I was unable to cut through the brocoli. I came here a couple of years ago and had a lovely roast dinner so it's a shame the food quality seems to have gone downhill.
L. M.
Good food, reasonably priced and good service with a smile
D. F.
Plenty of parking and space inside. Staff friendly serving good quality nice food options. Menu is limited though and they ran out of the food options I wanted. One of my groups orders came out incorrectly aswell then when the staff tried to remedy it they didn't do a good job. Lots of potential but guys if your listening. Focus more on serving excellent food and look after your customers
K. M.
Delicious food, waiters are very attentive, and super nice atmosphere. Plus it’s all at an affordable price.
Highly recommend it and will definitely come back again.
M. B.
Awesome visit, staff were amazing food was brilliant
D. S.
Quite tonight but a good evening meal freindly staff
J. M.
A very relaxing and enjoyable meal. A very warm welcome. The staff were excellent and the food was great. I would highly recommend an evening here.
W. M.
Lovely food and very helpful and attentive staff. Decor was very nice too.
C. J.
We called on the off chance half an hour before we arrived hoping they would have a table available and not only they did but on arrival the manager Steve recognised us as previous fairly regular customers and moved our table to one of our more favourite spots without being asked, which was much appreciated, not just the warm welcome but the good customer service to know our preferences. Our host was Richard, who looked after us very well and we had a lovely meal. We felt very well cared for and safe and will look forward to returning again soon. Thanks to all the staff for your hard work.
P. L.
Excellent service throughout our visit. We were given our "favourite" table near the fire, nothing was too much trouble. Very polite and friendly conversation in a genuine caring manner. The food was great too, Hunters Chicken as it should be, the Beef and Red Wine pie was very tender and the gravy perfect. We will be back soon.
j. g.
Good food but if u have a blue light card don't go for any offers as they don't give any discount on offers and didn't inform you until you ask for bill. Come on chef and brewer how about something for the carer's ?
t. N.
Lovely staff, Christine is amazing, good food
D. M.
Visited this evening for a family dinner. Excellent safety easures in place, table service was wonderful and felt welcomed by staff who were polite and friendly.
Food was delicious and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend
S. G.
Came on a Saturday afternoon and ordered from the lunch menu. Very good prices and the food was excellent. We made a mistake on our food order and the kitchen corrected it for us with no charge and no hassle. The staff are a credit to this well kept and inviting place. Looking forward to our next visit.
t. P.
Lovely pub and great food
T. P.
Was our first meal out for months, great place to have a drink, the food was fantastic well worth a visit
You won't be disappointed at all.
A. G.
Food was good and the fire makes it very cosy
A. M.
We had Sunday lunch which was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel safe. Our waitress Gabrielle was kind and efficient. Will definitely go back.
J. B.
Not the best evening for us here. Luckily we had booked a table as it was busy but this busyness was reflected in the quality of service and food. The waitress whilst friendly and sweet was unfortunately not very efficient. We had to continuously ask for water and glasses and in fact never got the glasses. We were warned there was a delay with food and this was no problem, we were happy to have been told and content to sit and talk. The food when it came was luke warm, we ate it as the wait had been very long and on explaining this to the staff the meals were removed from the bill. This was very kind of the management and we appreciated it. It is a nicely decorated place and would bear a second visit. We have friends who eat here regularly and have no problems. We obviously hit a bad night.
A. S.
Never been here before so it would be my first time dining here. Bit out of the way but thought we’d give it a try
Got a nut allergy so going out anywhere for food is usually a bit of a nightmare
Fortunately, Fox & Hounds were really helpful regarding this as they have a separate menu for allergies
Food was also quite good and we were seated next to a going open fire so we were nice and toasty too!
Only issue was that I ended up with a food coma for overestimating how much I could eat!
Fantastic place!
w. d.
Good food, nice location and a fair price
R. J.
Lovely atmosphere.
Really liked that our meal didn't feel rushed and the staff were lovely and friendly.
J. A.
We went to the barn and had table service which was lovely and food wonderful as well
C. P.
Good control for Covid measures. Friendly staff.
I asked what bitters they had & ordered an Abbot ale. Later told this was not available so changed it to IPA but still charged for Abbot on the final bill.
Wife had the steak which was good but my Sunday rib of beef was average. Not very hot. Meat was quite fatty with not much meat & the Yorkshire pudding was very difficult to cut.
Just an average meal for me.
G. C.
Not as good as it was but ok,
Today 08 05 22, the food was good but staff all had attitude except for the gut who delivered the food, bad atmosphere dont know if there had been previous issues that had caused it but not good.
A. W.
Food standard has fallen but prices are expensive. Although we are local we feel the Harvester is now better value.
k.
Excellent service and food thank you 😊
l. j.
Excellent food at a reasonable price, this place survives on it's good reputation. Service again very good, good parking.
J. T. (.
Great menu, food was fantastic. Welcoming and very covid organised.
Thank you everyone for making our family luncheon get together.
T. L.
Stunning pub, Restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Food was nice, not exceptional and the menu is standard, nothing to get excited about. Would go again, but only if I fancied the same meal.
H. B.
Great place. Decently priced food, lovely and yummy too. Classic pub meals.
Has own car park which is convenient. Sweet barn decorations inside. Also very clean.
S. R.
Lovely place. We were a table of 8 on this occasion. We chose from the main menu and everyone enjoyed their meals which all looked fabulous.. I had the steak and ale pie which was an individual tall, round pie with a shortcrust pastry. We asked for extra gravy which was no problem and the whole thing was delicious. We sat in the old barn near the log fire that was lite and it all felt wonderfully cosy. We have been many times and always come back because the food and staff are brilliant
Just wanted to add that this was our venue of choice for our first post lockdown lunch out. Plenty of care taken, re social distancing etc. Made to feel not only welcome but safe too. Food superb
S.
Fantastic, warm greeting! Really nice food, from a well thought through menu. We recommend the sharing platter for a starter. The lasagna is very moreish. 🍽️ The gammon mains is very filling and well presented. All in all, a fabulous lunch date. Thank you Fox and Hounds.
N. R.
Nice venue. Friendly staff...they served us the wrong meal however and thought it was fine to give us a soup spoon to eat dessert with as they had been busy that day and used dessert spoons up. Pub not full so don't know why they couldn't just wash a few spoons up. 3 meals good, my fish was over cooked and one meal not what we ordered .
K. M.
Great food, friendly staff.

A bit difficult to find, we had friends show us the way but well worth finding! We only had a few drinks here, the staff were very pleasant and there was a really nice atmosphere to the place. We're definitely going back to eat there, we had a look at the menu and it's quite extensive and reasonable too! They had a log burner going which was lovely as it was a very chilly evening.
J. H.
Lovely place to eat and amazing food. Second visit and very pleased. Staff are lovely and friendly
R. M.
Great meal and service - would recommend
T. C.
Excellent
Friendly staff great food
M. D.
This is a lovely hidden pub out of the way serving good food in a very pleasant environment.
D. Q.
Although quite local it was the first time I've been here in years, excellent food, very friendly and attentive staff, nothing bad to say and will 100% be back.
P. T.
Service was perfect, really good attentive staff. The setting is really beautiful - an amazing old barn. Lots of parking available outside. A couple of interesting beers on tap. The food was nice and cooked well but could have done with bigger portions and made a bit more special, some salad and dressing with the steak for example. Prices are very reasonable. Recommend the Mexican burger, vegetarian but really tasty and filling.
B. S.
Popped in for a drink and sat in the garden, didn’t go for food but we had some of the salt and pepper squid and skin on fries which were delicious and we had the loveliest server Paris who made our evening!
P. H.
Lots of character. Friendly service. Bit disappointed with my Sea bass and scallops as the fish was overcooked. Should have sent it back. Starter and dessert were good and my wife enjoyed her meal. Give it a try. Would definitely return
B. H.
Love this place. Our favourite. Great food. Lovely staff. Nothing is too much trouble. We always sit out in the barn. Such a lovely location. Really worth a visit
A. C.
Great food and beautiful location always our favorite place to go. Staff are always friendly and attentive.
G.
Good Quality food, as usual staff friendly nice old pub, will be going again.
B.
Enjoyed my burger at hot fudge cake here. Pub and restaurant have a traditional yet modern feel, staff are pleasant and the food was pretty good. As a family, we did find accessibility a bit of an issue but once speed all was ok.
J. A.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening menu. Food was excellent, good selection of beer and wine, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this pub to families and those wanting a quiet evening out. We will return again! Thank you
S. C.
Great place, great food! Staff were lovely, Jackie who served us was fantastic. Highly recommend.
E. S.
Fantastic food and service. Lovely welcoming staff. We had a wonderful family meal tonight (2 adults and 2 children). We can highly recommend it.
G. C.
Had a very tasty roast at the Fox and Hounds today. Great service and a special shout out to Paris for looking after us so nicely
C. H.
Visited tonight, last minute table for 8, greated by a lovely friendly member of staff. Food was fab, cooked perfect. Lovely evening, great food for price too. Your waitress that served us tonight is a credit to your team.
K. C.
Went for Sunday Roast with hubby, son (7 year old) and parents. Service and food absolutely great, couldnt fault the adults mains or the portion sizes. We had the signature lamb, slow cooked beef and pork and a childs beef roast.
Only downside was the childs roast dinner. The beef was cooked virtually blue, not just a little pink (he would have eaten that) but virtually raw. We gave him meat from ours and mentioned it to server. Even the adults standard beef dinner stated "served pink" so not sure where that came into it. Otherwise it was a great meal and we never mind paying a bit more when its decent. Just wish that childs dinner had more care.
J. C.
Had a lovely meal here last night. Food and service was brilliant. 1st night out since March and felt really safe. Well done to everyone.
A. M.
We were invited to the Lone Barn at the Fox & Hounds for a birthday lunch. Quite quiet as it was a weekday. Very pleasant and helpful service from waitress. Delicious freshly cooked mussels in white wine sauce. Apple crumble and custard to finish. Interesting old world country farm decor and objects. Enjoyed our meal and visit and look forward to visiting again.
S. M.
As a member of the gourmet society you advertise 25% off the food and drink menu when eating Monday to Friday. But you don't mention you have to order off the main menu which is about 24% more than the lunchtime menu dispite there being no differents in portion sizes. The food was of a good standard but disappointed that we were misled and there being only a 20pence saving.
K. P.
Really great place to come to eat, serving a wide range of eats and drinks, Sunday lunch are awesome,
Little difficult to find in the dark and be careful of the school just down the road.
We're rapidly becoming regulars here.
The car park can be a bit messy if there's been any rain.
Wide selection of drinks available even speciality ales brewed by the holding company.
There are tables in the main bar area as well as more seating in the barn attached ranging from snugs to large tables.
All in all a great place to have a good meal and enjoy the atmosphere.
N. A.
I've known this warm welcoming pub since I went for beers with my dad as a teen. VERY picturesque. Food is delicious. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable. I was there yesterday for a celebration of the life of one of our family members who died recently. They did a lunch time buffet and absolute every aspect was perfect. No better way to send this loved one off! Thank you, Lone Barners!
P. M.
Excellent meal and super staff
J. G.
I couldn't speak highly enough about the Fox & Hounds (Lone Barn) The staff, the food, the atmosphere are all first class, you have to check it out.
C. L.
Lovely food, great service. Always a pleasure to eat here!
m. c.
Called in on our way to Hotel for a holiday.
We are not local and its always a risk with somewhere new. This pub looks great from the outside so we called in.
Friendly welcome and good food... Can't beat that. We both loved it so well done!!
T. W.
Fourteen of us went here for our annual walking group Xmas meal. It was a great evening with good food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff . The barn, with its big log fire, was the perfect venue for us. Will definitely be going again.
S. C.
This is a Greene and King pub. The food is very good indeed, quirky menu with little twists on pub classics and beautifully cooked. The setting is unusual, a little off the beaten track, it's an old coach house/stable connected to a pub. iirc, the buildings used to be separate, but are now connected by a sort of reception area. Relaxed atmosphere and a decent bar, pretty well priced for the level of quality too.
I. M.
Used up my Tesco Clubcard vouchers 3 times the face value of the voucher. This is a really nice pub/restaurant. Had the Valentine menu.
We both had steak and a raspberry sorbet dessert. The steaks (medium and medium rare) were cooked to perfection. The dessert was beautifully presented and tasted superb.
C. H.
Amazing place and the staff at very pleasant
L. B.
Has an amazing night here last night. We were a party of 7, most of us from Yorkshire, and we were quite loud. Jackie joined in with the fun and jokes, Zac and Damien were helpful and friendly . Food and drink was lovely. Will definitely be back next time we are down here. Thank you.
G. P.
Excellent pub restaurant. Good food with table waiting and payment after eating. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Only just outside of Southampton but feels like way out in the country. Far enough out to have no yob trouble. Large carpark and outside eating. Highest recommendations.
j. w.
Is really good food very welcoming had a great evening there will be going back soon
R. C.
A pre-arranged family party for 18 was very well organised at the pub. The food was served in good time and was well presented and well cooked. The seafood grill was a particular favourite. although all the food was very well received. The staff were very attentive and made the 90 yr old birthday girl feel very special.
B. S.
We had brunch and the staff were brilliant about my allergies, made life very easy!
M. H.
The food we had was good but a couple of chicken dishes and the sea bass were off the menu due to shortages.
A. C.
This 3 star review has only been salvaged by the staff, who were excellent throughout our meal.
The food, however, was not. I understand that as a franchise you have to work with the ingredients you've got. That doesn't mean you can't actually provide some kind of presentation. Our mixed grills had been plated in a hurry and were all over the place. It looked like a student meal.
On top of that, all 4 meals had to be returned because they were stone cold. The butter I ordered for my steak was still frozen.
It was my mum's birthday dinner and I hate to say it tainted the evening, but it really did. Step it up, chef.
K. W.
Food was lovely but shame about the speed of service. We ended up being half an hour late for our slot because of a traffic jam on the m27, and yes it was mother's day, but surely an hour to get your starter is a little steep.
We have been here a few times now and have always felt that this was a bit of an issue.
The staff were friendly this time around but I have also found in the past that the regular waitresses are somewhat impersonal and prefer to "dump it and run"
Shame because this could have been a 5 star review.
L. M.
Lovely park lots of walks
J. W.
Not been there for a while. Very pleased I went. Service, food and beer all good. The beer prices are more than what I usually pay for on other pubs but it was all very nice.will be going back. Well done to the staff.
D. L.
Lovely informal lunch. Used Tesco vouchers but would have happily paid full price. Received a warm welcome from Damien and then great service from Mary. Finshed with the crumble of the day which was gooseberry and ginger and was delicious! Lovely setting and great service.
P. M.
Used to come regularly several years ago and it was fabulous, two visits in the last three weeks have been really disappointing. Always packed and a good atmosphere, lovely fire, cosy and staff friendly. However, the food on both occasions was very poor, Sunday lunch with roast potatoes so hard in the middle they crunched... speedily replaced with yet more hard potatoes, the dinner was swamped in gravy and so little veg you could not see it as the gravy covered it and it was luke warm. I ordered a costa latte which on both occasions did not come anywhere near filled to the top of the standard latte glass very short measured. The service was good despite the amount of people and we were served almost immediately.
J. Y.
Lovely old pub. Good food. Caters for all budgets. We visit often
a. b.
My dad Maurice is a regular at the Fox & Hounds. He is totally blind and visits with his guide dog Fudge. I'd like to thank all the staff for the fantastic job they do in looking after him. Even the return of pub openings during Covid-19 the staff ensure that my dad is safe making special arrangements to accommodate him. Maurice has a lovely social group of regulars at the pub and thanks to them, the staff and other amazing clientele, after losing his wife Doreen in 2017 my dad is able to enjoy a pint and feel included. You are all amazing, Cheers and Thank You :) Hope business returns to normal very soon!
L. S.
We had a really lovely meal here today. I had roast pork and it was delicious, we were offered extra gravy which we had and it was lovely. Best roast I've had out in ages. Lovely surroundings and friendly staff.
M. “. P.
Great food and lovely staff
G. D.
Really good food great service highly recommend
A. S.
Fantastic setting, albeit a little off the beaten track through some windy roads! Very well furnished, and prices are reasonable. My only criticism would be that certain members of staff are quite snappy, and quite patronising at times. Highly recommended for a bite to eat at lunchtime!
D. S.
We were well looked after in pleasent surroundings while enjoying our excellent meall.
j. b.
First time here and it was a good experience, its tucked away down some very small roads. Nice and homely with some woodburners keeping the place warm. Staff were great and friendly, food was good, no complaints there, would recommend, will return.
A. B.
Very nice pub, can't really criticise anything! Service was good, food was good, beer was good! Weather was absolutely miserable but I'm not sure there was a lot the pub could do about that so seems a little unfair to mark them down a star for that...
L. P.
The pub is nice inside but if its a nice day and you want to sit outside you will basically be in the car park. I was sat at my table and was within arms reach of a car.
The food was average and perhaps not great for its price.
The staff weren't great and got the order wrong.
M. S.
Had a Saturday night dinner there for my son 23rd birthday
The staff looked after us and was good enough to let us know that things are running a bit behind
Its
The place is a barn mid 1870 was lucky to personally know the builders that moved it in my teens
Food fabulous
Atmosphere family with young whopping
Good beer and clean wash rooms
Could go on but think I my boar you
c. m.
Perfect Sunday roast well worth the money everyone cleared their plates. Exceptional service brilliant chefs.
P. P.
Thank you to Aisha and staff at Fox and Hounds for great customer service. Very professional and made our evening last night . Food was outstanding .
E. B.
Excellent food and table service .Milo looked after us , He was very polite and professional ..Well done Milo !
T. B.
Really great pub, food was exquisite service was excellent had a great time thanks. Will return
l. c.
Good. Positive greeting and service. Food well cooked and pleasantly presented. Staff attentive but not overbearing. Price average, but slight error on bill (under charged, which we pointed out, immediately rectified, and apologised). Nice place and good overall experience.
S. F.
I recently went here with my pal for a Sunday roast, and it wasn't the biggest meal I'd ever had. However, it was pleasant. The ambiance there is nice and cozy, and they do a nice selection of ales.
J. M.
Really nice food, very good service, cod and chips were excellent
K. M.
A lovely evening, a warm welcoming by Jackie & a cosy seat by the fire..
Delicious two course meal which was great value...
All staff went above & beyond...
Thank you all so much...xx
J. S.
Great food and a nice traditional pub. It is out of the way but still sees enough customers to ensure it has a great atmosphere. Worth a visit.
m. s.
What a lovely place, staff very friendly, food lovely, lovely real log fire , will definitely be going back
S. C.
A lovely cozy romantic place with excellent food! In Netley, in a quiet green corner, quite picturesque. Easily accessible, friendly staff, very child friendly, most importantly, amazing food! Very reasonably priced. Would definitely go back and recommend for a family dinner.
K. M.
Great food & superb service every time we visit
Laura is brilliant, she has our drinks memorised and is very friendly, lovely surroundings and atmosphere here which makes for a great dining experience with our family.
Manager Steve and all other staff are also very welcoming the moment we walk through the door.
C. C.
Very nice meal, good service, clean. Hot food, even got more custard when I asked without any trouble. Even though it was busy you didnt feel pack in and you could hold a conservation without beening overheard. Would recommend to anyone
D. W.
Amazing find lovely village pub tucked away from the main road but well sign posted. Old barn coverted into the restaurant is very tranquil, an extensive menu with seasonal dishes as well as traditional pub food all cooked and served to a high standard. Highly recomend a visit even if its just a drink by log fire.
C. J. B.
Superb food. Did not book Sunday Easter Bank Hols took a chance.
But they found a slot for 3 adults so we had a jolly good meal & a welcome break
Must go again soon.
A. L.
Lovely food and excellent service. Very clean and covid safe with one way entry's, generous spacing and clean. Highly recommended.
S. F.
Great building, wonderful staff. Menu OK but would be great to update after being the same for a long time.
R. B.
Amazing! Can't fault the food or the service and such a wonderful atmosphere and lovely place to be
a. b.
lovely pub, amazing how this little gem has still retained its lovely homely feel throughout the years , even now as part of a chain it has retained its personal character.
S. B.
Nice setting and worth finding for plentiful room in pleasant surroundings. Food standard to q good..pricing average. Can get a lunch for 6 squid. One of the better options in the area
S. M.
Lovely food and lovely staff! Very enjoyable all round
M. A.
First visit here since you know what. Food as good as it always was & the service was spot on.
m. c.
Lovely food, all the staff were happy and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
a. b.
Very pretty surroundings but food was very disappointing.
H. H.
Beautiful old barn with superb food. Highly recommended
A. F.
Love this place! Been coming here for Fizz Friday for a a few years now. The food is always lovely and the staff are polite. Laura goes above and beyond everytime we visit. As soon as she sees us there she has our drinks ready for us. Her customer service is beyond exceptional and she makes our visit even more enjoyable everytime. We've found many other places that offer fizz Friday but keep on coming back! Thanks Laura!
P. O.
This is our local pub. A brilliant and cosy local pub. Prices are reasonable and food is good. We often bring friends and family here and I truly recommend this place. Surrounded by the forest, it is a great place to stop when out on a walk. We really love this place. It has a very good atmosphere and the owners are very welcome.
K. D.
Was a bit non-plussed to discover they have started taking reservations, but was able to get a table fairly quickly. Huge special board has now been reduced to a few. Food was all good, if a bit uninspired in some cases. Turned up pretty quickly, and was good value.
T. E.
Food was good, although the dessert we ordered for y gradson right at the start had sold out by the time we wanted it. The service even tho it wasn't that busy was slow.
S. B.
Lovely atmosphere, pub is hidden away in the Hamble Burseldon. Food lovely service very good.
E. l.
Fantastic food. I had the rib of beef, which was amazingly good. They were very busy and we took the last table available, so it took a fair while for the food to arrive. However, I felt it was worth the wait.
T. O.
Had a great meal with the family waiter wasn Josh. Will be back again soon.
p. s.
Lovely Sunday roast. We'll organised for social distancing. Service a bit slow due to young staff being more interested in chatting than serving.
B. G.
Really great foody pub. Consistency is key and they always deliver. As a publican myself, I find myself often over critical - not here though. Superb service, food , staff and mabagement!
M. W.
Very good pub and very good food with excellent service. They also except Tesco vouchers.
S. C.
Had an excellent meal, arrived at 6.30pm and got last table, rest were reserved! So may be wise to book. 2 courses and a drink each reasonably priced. Will be back!
S. S.
I have previously had a very bad experience, e.g. waiting 2-3 hours for a main meal (about 6 months ago). Tonight however, the staff were great, food arrived within a reasonable timeframe and the Gourmet beef burger and sirloin steaks were lovely. Well done, great service.
D. G.
Looking for somewhere to grab Sunday lunch in the area wary after reading the reviews but booked anyway. Glad we booked as was full and turning people away. Great food and very friendly and helpful staff. Ignore bad reviews this place is great.
T. O.
A beautiful pub/restaurant. The burger I had was delicious, I have never been disappointed with the food I have eaten here. It's advisable to book a table to guarantee a seat.
J. H.
The fox and hounds has such a great character and is a great example of an old english pub that has been successfully modernised. However given its unique character the food and service leave something to be wanted.
N. N.
A truly 5 star gastro-pub. Old English ambience, fine food, great real ale and friendly staff. What more could you want on a chilly, damp Sunday evening in February when you need a bit of cheering up? The crackling real fire was the 5th star for this review. Looking forward to going again, the next time the Winter blues strike...
Covid-19 update... First time in 4 months that we went out to a pub and we were VERY PLEASED we chose the Fox and Hounds as the pub to break lockdown. Excellent food and, most importantly during these strange times, lots of space and conscientious staff. We felt safe throughout. Cheers!
M. R.
Very Pleasant. Lovely old historic pub with friendly staff and very relaxed atmosphere.
N. P.
Had a fantastic meal. Excellent food and staff were super. Will definitely be going again.
D. G.
Good food and excellent service
D. “. V.
Had a meal there, the staff were polite and friendly.Shared a bottle of red wine and had a beer or two🍻🍷👍
s. b.
Thoroughly lovely evening. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced too. Would have been 5 star but cheese cake to 20mins to be served. Although it was worth waiting for
I. M.
Fox & Hounds and the Lone Barn has always been a favourite of mine.
This Chef & Brewer pub has a great value menu especially weekday lunchtimes where you can get a burger and chips for under £7.
One thing I would say....... The old barn now is dining only which is a real shame.
I've spent many nights spending more than a reasonable amount of money which now is out of bounds unless I what to buy a meal!
I wanna love this pub, however it's been made more contemporary and it's lost some of it's olde worlde charm.
As a foot note Peroni is £5.70 something a pint (wow), but the wine is a lot cheaper!
All said, I still like it!
S. B.
Hadn't visited here in a while. Could be tricky to find if you don't know the area. Lovely and cosy with log fire burning. Very nice lunch but like all pubs seem to be now, a bit on the expensive side. Would recommend a visit.
M. C.
Very nice meal in cosy surroundings. The atmosphere in the barn is extraordinary on a chilly winter evening. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful.
J. P.
Great place. Worth finding. Best to book as can get very busy. Recommended.
E. B.
I've always loved the Fox and Hounds. Staff are always lovely and friendly and it is a nice atmosphere. This visit there was a mistake on my food order (placed cheese on a burger that shouldn't have come with cheese) and although rectified fairly quickly they hadn't redone the fries meaning they were stone cold, this is a basic thing to rectify even if there just dipped back in the fryer again.
D. C.
We had a great time here just before Christmas. Had a meal for four from the festive menus all very good. Lovely pub worth a visit.
A. O.
Just visited 3/8/20. Great meal. Ordered on app. Felt like pre-COVID. Great meal, not weird, sensible precautions. Thank you !
S. T.
Love coming to the Fox and Hounds. Food is always lovely and always a good menu including the specials. Came this evening with family and we all enjoyed the food and great service. Would highly recommend.
P. L.
Cosy local pub, no well attended but with great on street seating. Recommended
R. P.
Delightful pub. Lovely warm fires, cosy tables, and superb food. Steak cooked perfectly. Friendly, attentive staff. Would recommend this pub.
S. L.
Good food, friendly staff and a nice place to visit
L. B.
Lovely pub great service and food
M. W.
Felt safe, well organized, unfortunately, most of the food our family would have liked to order, had,nt been delivered,😲, we will try again,👌
K. V.
I’m always looking to try different pubs for food and although this is a very old pub that dates back to the 16th century it rather quite quirky, the hunters chicken that we ordered came out hot and was very nice, however the salad was bland and the coleslaw wasn’t great.
D. M.
Good food friendly staff
N. W.
Excellent lunch today, very good gourmet burger with a beer for £10!
Service and food was of a high quality, will be back to try some of the other lunch specials...
e.
Really yummy food!! I had a chicken curry and it was really delicious! A very good first meal out after lockdown.
K. W.
Great ambiance and food

Cosy atmosphere, elegant seating area, staff is very polite, covid procedure is strictly followed and, of course, food is well presented and delicious.

Best meal we had in Southampton.
Everything about this place is great especially the food.
Highly recommended and will be back 100% when every visit I take to Southampton
M. T.
So much choice on the menu, the food was excellent and the service good too
A. M.
Amazing food service was spot on beautiful place to dine xxx
A. B.
This is an amazing place ! Great food, excellent service, friendly locals and a roaring log fire to keep you warm all the way home. You've been going a long time Fox and Hounds - and you never disappoint . Highly recommend - no matter what the season.
S. P.
This is a charming and atmospheric 16th century country pub hidden in a country lane in Hungerford in the Buseldon area on the fringes of Southampton. Service is quick, friendly and polite. Food is tasty. This is great just for a drink, quick lunch, slow romantic meal, or any special occasion. Owned by Greene King and run under the Chef and Brewer brand they acquired when they bought the Spirit Pub Company.
W. C.
I live this place, it is a hidden gem! Lovely food and great service - this place is so cozy on a raining Sunday afternoon! Worth a try if in the area!
d. s.
Having booked at least a couple of months ago for a family christmas get together was very disappointed not to be seated in the restaurant but in the bar area .Had to do our own ordering at the bar. Then waited a long time for dessert and had to chase someone. The food was ok though not outstanding.Dined last year and several times since and there is no comparison this year.Very disappointed.
m. s.
Service good
Starters expensive for what they are meagre portion of bubble and squeak hard egg floating in sauce
Main meal could do with a few more chips or peas for the money it cost, all al lA carte menu not a special so not very impressed.
Nice pub and setting
G. K.
Nice fast service with a smile, very welcoming, good food and great value.
S. G.
Sadly wasn't up to standard cold plates small portions but friendly staff
c. p.
Lovely place and good food, but there's two ladies who serve who could do with smiling and trying to offer a slightly more friendly/welcoming customer service.
D. O.
Two steaks and wine for £20 can't go wrong. The rump was the best I've tasted in a long time. Thank you
P. C.
Hot Chocolate was great. Not a bad place at all
A. W.
Lovely place, great staff and gorgeous food.

Great experience, Covid guidelines are followed very well, the food and rustic atmosphere are great!

First time visiting for a rare evening out. Lovely welcoming staff, very clean and great food.
L. S.
Food average. Christmas meal disappointing as booked orders not followed through due to kitchen errors. Am sure unlucky one time and better service another time.
R. J.
Very olde world in the old barn the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food came quickly and was delicious, especially the sharing pudding.
A. J.
Attended Burns Supper. 4 courses including haggis - superb food but completely stuffed. Piper piped in the haggis albeit late. Delightful staff, lovely setting in high ceilinged barn restaurant.
R. F.
Great pub Great service and great food 👍🏾

Excellent food and service

Great food, great service, would highly recommend.
S. H.
Worst meal we have ever had there steak& ale pie was dry, mash potato was awful & dry it was as everything had been warmed up, presentation wasn’t the best either. shame because I have always rated this place maybe an off day or no chef, but will not be hurrying back !!!
B. H.
A beautiful pub with a lovely atmosphere, especially during Christmas time. Have had food here on a few occasions, lunch is good value.
m. s.
We had the most wonderful evening , the food was delicious, the wine was wonderful, and the staff were so attentive, l can't find fault, we will be back.
R. C.
My family and I have visited several times over the years and rarely have one of us been disappointed. Occasionally one of us might have wished we had ordered something else. Can recommend.
B. M.
Hit and miss, as a regular customer i find sometimes the food is great and service is fast and friendly. At other times it sadly isnt as good.
Tend to find the busier it is the worse the quality becomes.
K. L.
High prices but a nice pub. It has a converted barn which is not always open which is a shame. Last time i went they had no soft drinks on tap so this was a disappointment.
m. s.
Fantastic service, staff absolutely lovely and food was superb
A. S.
Lovely venue, with an extremely polite and helpful team. The food was very tasty, if a little stingy on the side salads and garnish.
S. S.
Excellent food. Perfect service and a lovely atmosphere. Well done to Steve and his team. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Fantastic food and service, carried out in a very Covid safe and friendly way.

Friendly staff and reasonable food at realistic prices.
With good guest beers and a pleasant environment I have enjoyed a few nice nights at the Fox & Hounds.

I’m always looking to try different pubs for food and although this is a very old pub that dates back to the 16th century it rather quite quirky, the hunters chicken that we ordered came out hot and was very nice, however the salad was bland and the coleslaw wasn’t great.
