Great place, vibe amazing. Watching a particular bouncer take a guy out ruined my night, very aggressive and there wasn't any need for it. (Showing off) I wasn't with the group that was taken out. Young lads don't stand a chance if that is the standards

Honestly the cocktails are a great price with the 241 offer, although the level of communication is poor. Phoned up to book a table, was told to email the link provided on the site. Sent an email a week prior, with no respond. Luckily we showed up and there was a table marked as ‘Reserved’ for the given time I emailed. Hour later another group came in and we were kicked off the table. Which left us confused. Perhaps this was never our table but to book a table should not be so difficult. Side-note, the young gentleman at the bar upstairs was very polite, kept clearing our cups and even held our drinks behind the bar for us as we went to the toilet!

Quality bar, one of my favourite bars in Southampton. Happy hour choices are decent, prices are reasonable. Service is very friendly and welcoming, food was nice but my ham and egg sandwich had a bit too much sauce in, the booths have your screen and charging ports. The bars is spacious and comfortable.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. I went for the full "Grum'y Mon'ey" experience and had the Monkey Chicken Skewers and the 3 Weiss Monkey's beer. A colleague had the Grumpy Burger which looked highly delectable. Our waitress was very relaxed and admitted to chilling whilst working. I think this is open to interpretation if you know what I mean ;). I walked in this place feeling a bit of a Grumpy Monkey myself due to a slow morning at work but I certainly left a rather more Happy Monkey with a full tum tum :D. 100% would visit again!

First time we've been in here, really fab bar, great staff, helped us with our mission to surprise our daughter on her 21st, by allowing us to come in dressed in T-Rex outfits, completely made the occasion

Great place to watch the football with mates, you can reserve booths which have induvidual tv's. On Friday and Saturday evenings I believe both upstairs and downstairs bars are operating, DJ as well and it can be busy but really good fun! Dont forget a game of pool!

The menu was not large however I had one of the best chix burgers I ever had it might be a small menu but what they do they do well. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating great atmosphere and the music is banging drinks are also not that exp and dicent all in all a great exp. Some cocktails could be mixed better if I want to be picky but for the price they are really good.

Ordered on deliveroo from Grumpy Monkey, the halloumi fries were crunchy, thick and flavorful,the Burgers were so mouth watering 🤤🤤🤤 Must come here in person. This food was so delicious

You can book a table, but unless if you are an attractive woman or a big group, you might not get it! Despite this, we did manage to get a seat after a while and enjoyed the food and drinks.

Loud music, drinks were nice, although they stopped serving cocktails at 11 despite closing at 1am, regardless the music was good and the drinks were nice. Clientele seemed reasonable and the servers were very friendly.

As I write this they have been forced to close along with all venues. But I can't wait to get back. Great selection of drinks and good service. Enjoyed the atmosphere, prices are as you'd expect from city centre bars, not too expensive. More of a sports bar the weekend and chilled in the week

Yummmmmmmmmmm!!! Came here for my birthday after driving past it and thinking it looked pretty cool from the outside. As it was my birthday and we had 7 of us eating we were told that I would eat for free and get a free bottle of prosecco, happy days!!! I went for the buttermilk chicken burger, calamari and the bacon and cheese fries. Proper good choice, will definitely be having those choices again. Staff were all really friendly and cheerful, great choice of drinks on offer, will definitely be coming back.

Really cool vibe. Monkeys holding light bulbs was a clever touch! Lots of TVs for live sport and booths with private TVs which looked like they could be hired or reserved. Chilled place for drinks, but looks like it could become a wicked place for a night out! =)

Cool place but quality can suffer at busy times. Was served drinks in dirty glasses, one of which was chipped! Helpful staff did promptly replace our drinks when we pointed it out.

Went for the first time ever and that for sure was my scene I love the dj that was in....he was so invisible I barely noticed he was there but he had the best set...the vibe was awesome only annoyance is it was so crammed and you had 1 or 2 people sitting by the tables and they wouldn't let anyone else sit...through no fault of the grumpy monkey but will defo go back 😏
