Reviews of Junction Inn
I. S.
Great little pub with lovely beer garden. The guy who runs it cooks the roast himself and its vet nicely done. Kids loved it. Simple pub with no frills but if you want some nice home cooked food with good service and a nice glass of wine while the kids run wild in the garden, you can’t go wrong. It might not have the fancy decor of a chain but it’s a little hidden gem for low key family fun and very good service. Slide and bouncy castle in the garden. Only tip would be to jet wash the bouncy castle for summer and tart up the seating in the garden a little but I’m being picky. We had a great time and will be back.

Lovely roast & the Mediterranean vegetable tart is a nice original vegetarian option, & delicious too. Now it’s under different management it’s great to see the menu has improved. Will definitely come back.

Cracking pub. Good community pub full of life and character, and welcoming to all. 4 Greene King ales plus 4 changing local ales are on offer. Plus a large range of bottled beers, both Greene King and local. Great value for money meal deals. Great atmosphere and ambiance. The pub has a traditional feel, with original etched windows indicating the original rooms: Public, Bottle & Jug, Private, and Saloon. These have now been merged into one long horseshoe shaped space, which is like two large spaces joined by a curving, narrow banana shaped space. A recent fire has allowed the landlord to refurbish in a sympathetic but imaginative manner, keeping partitions and little nooks, but using a lighter wood, to give a cleaner, lighter look. There is a rare bar billiards table, and an excellent beer garden with children’s play area overlooking the railway line. There is much to like here. And almost next door is the South Western Arms with 10 casks on offer. Considered together these two make one of the best beer destinations in Southampton, second only to the Platform Tavern (which is a brewpub).
If you come to Southampton, seek out this place.

Great night watching band with Bob Pearce. Not ideal setting for band as tight space for supporters but the session was rockin! Difficult parking but worth it to see the awesome Bob Pearce been following him for over 30yrs!! Great night in a good town pub!!

We went here on New year's eve. What a great night. Live band and disco and a buffet laid on by the friendly landlady.
They have live music here regularly and wonderfully home cooked food.

Tried to catch the 13.40 train to Bath but apparently its a pub and they only sell beer and food.. Bit disappointed but don't really like Bath anyway so I just stayed and got drunk. Lovely carpets throughout 👍

A honest down to earth pub, with friendly staff and a lovely calm atmosphere.
B. R.
Great traditional little pub! Exellent home cooked food and warm friendly service! Good old fashioned spit & sawdust atmosphere! Saturday night 'special' steak/wine is excellent value!
S. S.
Had the Sunday lunch there for a quick meeting and it was amazing. The live music gave it a great atmosphere and the food would have been worth it even for a few extra quid.
S. L.
Tom and his daughter are both very lovely people, excellent service with a decent range of options, friendly homely feel.
R. P.
An OK pub...surrounded by front doors, so should be popular. Has another 2 pubs within 100-200m (one over a railway bridge). Quite insular towards outsiders, but not aggressive. It's your basic, 'standard fare', pub.
Nothing special, but neither is it a place to avoid. Probably a lot depends on the company you visit with?
Small car parking area, free WiFi and nice little garden...albeit right beside the railway line!!!
W. R.
