Nice place, it's a shame they don't sell cocktails

I love it for the entertainment and a laugh but it is a bit tired and in need of a spruce up. Especially the toilets. But let's face it... You're not there for the decor. You're there for a good night in a safe gay space with good entertainment

Used to love the fun atmosphere but sadly for the last 18 months Gluten free beer hasn’t been available! Easy fix so please get them in 🍺

Cannot fault the way that this venue is managing to handle the new COVID-19 guidelines. Staff wearing PPE and ensuring that everything is safe and clean. Table socially distanced and guidance provided to all customers. Great to see Cabaret back on a Sunday and Roasts being served. Friday and Saturday night had a drag queen showing people to tables and taking drinks orders. Excellent atmosphere. Hats off to all involved in making this place an asset to Southampton.

Nice, friendly pub. Great place to go on a Thursday night if you fancy a genuinely entertaining karaoke session. (As opposed to the 'usual' karaoke where a bunch of people stand in a corner and drone their way through the same old, tired songs, while everyone else in the pub ignores them! I'm not actually sure if I've ever been there on a night other than Thursday, but I imagine it must be pretty good there most nights of the week...

The best Sunday lunch in Southampton. Fantastic entertainment in a Covid safe space. I watched the bar staff cleaning continuously as soon as customers left a table - it was steralised. Sympathetic decoration completed during lockdown

I've always rated this place highly for a great night out. My partner & I had a veggie roast dinner here on Sunday 3rd Feb. It was lovely, the Kiev was lush & there was lots of veg & gravy. The dog was allowed in too & they even gave him a dig treat providing he behaved lol. Can imagine the meat options are good too.

A group of friends and family went to the London last night for part of my 50th birthday celebrations. It was the first time I have ever seen a drag act live. Was an amazing experience, the atmosphere was brilliant, and the staff were lovely. Would recommend to anyone 👍👍👍😀

I came back to Southampton 10 years ago after many years living away and thank god for the London Hotel - incredible venue with the best staff and landlords. They go that extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and put on some great entertainment in a really relaxed and stress free space. Was great to find some civilisation at this great venue :)

Anything goes at the London!!!!! And everyone is free to be themselves. It's a great place, great fun, friendly and they play proper music that you can have a dance to. Mix of ages and not just the young crowd. Don't go if you discriminate in any way shame or form

As a lesbian, I am often disappointed by the amount of similar ladies at the venue, swamped by straight folks. However, the drag acts are often on point. Great drinks range, generally clean venue.

I guess it was Tuesday night, however there is a big show in town and most places had lots going on, but London Hotel was empty and I mean empty, I was the only one in, on a positive note, it did seem a nice, cosy, olde worlde type of pub and is probably quite popular at other times. Traditional old boozer that is now very popular as a gay bar. Very busy on Friday and Saturday and the drag shows are very funny. Sunday is more for the regulars and the show is free every night.

My mum & myself went today & the staff were very friendly, both the service & food excellent & the atmosphere very pleasant. There was a choice of various meats as well as vegan & vegetarian options. We had the beef & chicken which were tender & well cooked as was the veg. The roast potatoes & Yorkshire’s were very crispy & the light option of lemon roulade for pudding was both much appreciated & tasted lovely. Highly recommended & will go again! A hidden gem of a monument. This is the hotel where King Lobhengula of Matebeleland his emissaries who were sent to negotiations an alliance with Queen Victory spent the night before boarding the train to London back in 1888. Sometimes we forget that Southampton was the important port in the land.

Had a lovely veggie roast on Sunday. Everything was served freshly cooked with a vast choice of vegetables, nut roast, potatoes and vegetarian gravy. Staff were polite, friendly and willing to help. Highly recommend.
