They do Latin dancing here on Sundays. The times aren't that good as it's slap bang in the middle of preparing/eating dinner (18:00). It goes on till very late but if I don't eat dinner I get low blood sugar and feel faint so I have to leave early. The staff are lovely tho and the teachers are good.

Had a great experience for my birthday bottomless brunch. The staff were very attentive and fun, they even had us all up and dancing. The only downside was the toilets because they weren't well stocked and had a few "lock" issues but the atmosphere, food and staff made up for it.

Went for 2-4-1 cocktails so was cheaper than usual, which is good, and they came quickly. However, the cocktails had loads of ice shavings in (so they hadn't strained them when pouring) and the music was far too loud for any hope of conversation.

Plays really good selection of music, some older stuff mixed in to new. Only issue was I noticed a bit of a repeat if you're there long enough. Bit like on the radio it seems songs come back round. Toilets need sorting... How hard is it to put a lock on a door? Also... Maybe covid has made me more aware but the amount of people they ram in is mad. And it was SWEATY... It was cold and wet outside but inside was melting. Turn the air con up a bit as people were dripping 😂

Medbar is always my go to place for a good night of dancing. The Dj plays new and old hits and its a non-stop dance party. Definitely one of my top 3 places to go out in Soton.

Went with a group of 25ish friends for an event. We have pre booked, but we basically got nothing for that. Drinks are madly prices - seriously mad. Measures are good but wow, mad prices. Strangely seemed to be a lot of older single guys who literally stood next to the DJ booth all night just watching everyone dance - don't understand it and a little creepy

Been here twice and have been very impressed. Medbar have handles covid restrictions well by installing a one way system to and from the toilets, it is a shame however that it wasn't enforced when I went the second time. The food was very good but the cocktails were even better!

Great place to hang out and dance, however I have two complaints, one is two for one cocktails ends at 8pm, and two, the ladies toilets need to have every cubicle with a lock, 4/5 did not.

Really enjoyed my meal here. Fun atmosphere which made me feel like I was on holiday. Food was very yummy, I had halloumi fries and vegetable paella. 2-4-1 on cocktails which were delicious too. Very clean environment and staff were attentive.

Came here for the bottomless brunch for a late birthday celebration due to lockdown. The staff and venue followed guidelines perfectly and made myself as a customer feel very safe and at ease. I have done multiple bottomless brunches but this was by far the best in Southampton. All staff were fantastic and Bianca as our waitress she has been fabulous and so helpful. We Will be back thank you xxxx

Had nice meal to start, seemed quiet and not many people there. However a couple of hours later after the dancing started it was absolutely packed with bouncers on the door. The only thing stoping 5 stars, and probably what people love, was the noise. It was so extreme that when we left it was ages before my hearing returned to normal and if you did want to talk at all you needed to shoot so loud that I'm losing my voice. Staff were nice and good was very good. Would recommend it if you want to go.

It was amazing, stunning decoration, outstanding staff; always there to help. The drinks are awesome cocktails and mock tails alike. The mocktails they offer are: Mojito Strawberry woo woo Sex on the beach Pina colada And their signiture medbar special. Would recommend to anyone in the whole of Southampton!

First time here it was great looking forward to go again. How ever we were charge 5 pound entry to enter which we had no clue about. The guy at the door took entry free which was a bit weird, he said it's normal but on the website we saw nothing. It's only a 5 but would be good to know before hand

Overpriced, way too loud and filled mostly with either teenagers or 50+ businessmen which is an interesting combo... The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because I loved the awkwardness when the DJ played a remix of R Kelly's 'Age aint nothing but a number' song. And the bass upstairs feels nice as well.

I had one of the most enjoyable nights out thanks to the excellent atmosphere of the bar, playing the coolest tunes and credit to its friendly staff, giving recommendations for tasty drinks. Definitely a spot on cocktails prepared from fresh ingredients, the best I have ever tried. I totally recommend this place not only for an ordinary night out but for different occasions, as I am planning to make a reservation for my birthday!

Food was excellent as well as the service, had a steak and it was well cooked medium rare. Mrs had the pro chops and a few cocktails and she was happy. Will visit again, great customer service, don't see much of that now days and everyone heads off to them new chained placed around west quay when locals should support small business like Medbar.

My food was nice, four of my friends had ordered the lamb chops and they all said that they were “as tough as old boots”. We mentioned this to the staff after we had finished our mains, and they said we should have told them sooner and they would’ve re-cooked the lambs, but after waiting for nearly an hour for them after the starters everybody just wanted to get on with the remainder of the meal and move on. we were given a free drink as compensation which was nice! I should point out we were told that there might be a bit of a wait for food as they were busy, but having preordered our food we certainly didn’t think it would’ve been as long as it was. As the meal progressed, it turned from restaurant to nightclub before our eyes which was a strange ambience to be in. I for one will not be returning.

Amazing service, incredible food! What a lovely place to spend an evening! Chilled vibe. Good music (chart / dance / 80s pop). The staff are the nicest I've ever dealt with. Very friendly and welcoming. The food is a mix of Spanish and Greek. I thoroughly recommend the halloumi wrap. Omg it's amazing! Incredibly affordable and very filling! My friend had the mixed grill and he said it was incredibly tasty. It was not your usual English mixed grill as it had a delicious marinade.

The beers are great, music is good and the only place to hang out on a Sunday evening in Southampton if you like your Latin music. The refurbishment has meant lots of place to dance and the management ensure that the place runs smoothly without any trouble.

Looking for a decent club to visit, then you won't be disappointed when you visit Medbar. The music is good, drinks are ok, although the bartender did not know what a Cuba libre or a dark and stormy was ... But overall a good night out on the town.
