Food and staff are great. Very clean and welcoming. Only reason for the 4 star review is that there was a very drunk guy at midday swaring and going at the telly and my little one was listening as they do and there was an old lady that could hear my little one being a little noise and come over to me and said just smack her and tell her that children should be seen not hard I was mortified and shocked and honestly lost for words I am just glad that we was just finished our food to leave

Went into the farmhouse yesterday evening at around 6:30pm when I was fairly busy. We were greeted by a lovely lady I think her name was Holly if I remember rightly from when I was up at the till. She asked if we had made a booking which we hadn’t, but she managed to find a table to squeeze us in. She sat us down and said to us that they had unfortunately run out of a few items throughout the day including the roast dinners…which didn’t matter to us, she said whenever we were ready to order to come up to the bar and she will be there to help. The food was great and the service was too. We will definitely be returning

Popped in for lunch the Monday and I was served by a girl called Holly. She was polite and friendly, made sure I had everything I needed to go with my meal. She made the drink I had perfectly and made sure to ask if I wanted ice and a slice. Food was tasty chips were a little overdone but still all round was great. Will be back soon

Pleasant family pub, very friendly staff and quick service. Hungry Horse chain know for large potions and good value, ideal for family or a relaxed meal with pals. Would say because of the the time you go can impact how long you wait and maybe the quality of the food slightly, but not you wouldn't expect at this price range. 4.5 out of 5

Went in yesterday lunch and it was really busy with tables and only 2 staff members on which really wasn’t enough considering the amount of people in there. They made it look easy though and did everything brilliantly hats off to them they’re a credit to the team. Food was good as well shame there wasn’t any fish but we had an alternative. Visited the old farmhouse on Wednesday day time, it was busier than usual but with it being half term it’s what we expected. A lovely lady (all and had dark ginger hair ) greeted us with a smile and asked if we had made a booking which we hadn’t, she had a quick look around the restaurant and said there’s a table at the back which she will have to wipe over quickly before we can sit down. She did that, then got a cutlery bucket and took us to be seated. She said that there was unfortunately no fish or halloumi on the menu today, which didn’t bother us and said that when we are ready to order we could either use the app or come to the bar to do our order. She and the man she was working with they were both some of the nicest people in the hospitality trade we’ve met, the food was amazing and we will definitely be returning soon because of them!

Went into the farmhouse today. We had a great meal and the two members of staff on (Billy and Hollie) were a delight. I will say they had a unexpected large booking turn up to an already busy, almost full restaurant and they both handled it amazingly, despite them running around taking food and drinks to tables, taking orders and keeping the place all up together and tidy they were so polite, friendly and accommodating to us. Because of them we will definitely be returning. Thank you Hollie and Billy!!

It was myself and my partners first time in the old farmhouse on Friday evening, we were greeted by a lovely lady on the bar, I think her name might’ve been Holly and she was super helpful and so polite, seated us at our table and ran us through our options of either table service or using the app. We decided to use the app, and she returned less than what must’ve been a maximum of 3/4 minutes later with our drinks which were made and poured perfectly. The food was amazing, steak was cooked to perfection. We definitely will be returning with the rest of the family soon! :)

Came in for a pint with the wife on Saturday evening, was greeted by a really nice lady on the bar called holly. When we approached she was serving someone down the other end of the bar, she did see us and came up and said she will be with us as soon as she could be, she did come back as soon as she could and we ordered our drinks and bought a couple of the sweet packets that were available, with the money being donated to Macmillan, which is a lovely idea and then went back out side to enjoy the evening air. Thank you for your great service holly we will be back again and hope to see you!

Me and my wife come in last Monday and were pleasantly surprised after being recommended by a friend. We were greeted at the door by a friendly lady and taken to our table. Everything had been explained as it has all been changed and the staff couldn't of helped anymore - they were extremely friendly and helpful. There were plenty of measures ensuring our safety regarding COVID. Can't wait to come back!

A very nice looking and sized public house. The staff were most helpful and very friendly to assist myself and my companion who's a wheelchair user. The food was well presented, plentiful and very tasty. I like the fact that you can also order and pay for food and drink via the hungry horse app which is very useful. Just moved to the area and went here to watch the football. From the outset and throughout, Melissa, the asst. manager was absolutely fantastic and is a major asset to this business. The way she manages the pub and the clientele is great. Chicken kebab was very good, service was fast, staff great. Felt very well looked after throughout.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!! Me and my partner went for a meal just before second lockdown, we both noticed all bar and waiting staff wearing the correct PPE and considering the current circumstances staff certainly still made us feel welcomed and safe. Very modern building and decorated. Lovely range of food choices with very reasonable, cheap prices. If I remember correctly our waitress's name was 'Rosie', she was definitely a lively and pleasant staff member. Rosie made sure both me and my partner had the best within our experience and really ensured our standards were met. If we DID have any complaints or problems I certainly feel Rosie and any other staff members would have dealt with it in a way the customers felt better and satisfied.

Always excellent service, constantly clean making us feel extra safe in these uncertain times no matter if it is for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even for a quick drink! It was Saturday night and very busy. Had to wait half hour for the food. And a while to order the food because they only had one till for food. I was worth the wait. I had Sirloin Steak, it was cooked just right and very good I swapped the chips for a salad and that was good too. My partner had a mixed grill and said it was one of the best. I had to tell the kitchen staff and the manager how good it all was. Which I don't normally do. The staff were all friendly,smiley and efficient.

Went there for lunch for the first time. Had to wait about 40min for two steak and chips. The rare cooked one was lovely but the well done steak was so hard and tough that we sent it back requesting the replacement to be cooked not as hard. Had such a great experience at The Old Farmhouse (very family friendly and a good drinking place to hang with friends) Very warm welcome, I believe I was greeted by a lovely guy called Billy. Such a good and big menu with a lot of variety and delicious desserts! Good variety of drinks including amazing gins and beers. Brilliant place for a bite and a drink !! We have made this our regular haunt now as we have found this is by far the safest and most COVID 19 secure pub we have visited during these strange times. All of the staff are very aware of the protocols required to keep themselves and their visitors safe and although we are now “regulars”, the rules of the house are always explained before we are shown to a table. Melissa and the rest of the front of house team always greet you with a smile and work tirelessly to keep the place clean. It’s got a really friendly atmosphere, the GreeneKing app works perfectly.. food is always hot and plenty of screens to watch the footy...

It's a Hungry Horse. That tells you most of what you need to know in terms of decor, menu and food quality. You get what you pay for, and so long as you go in there with that in mind, it's hard to be disappointed. As it goes, I like the menu and the food that HH establishments offer. It's no-frills dining, which is something I occasionally crave when I've had too much of a good thing. The menu is full of choice, reasonably priced and big on portion sizes. What's not to like? What I liked about this place was the service. I am not a big fan of restaurants that forgo table service and get you to order at the bar like some heathen. That said, once you'd done that here, the service you did receive thereafter was exceptionally diligent and attentive. Would heartily recommend for a budget conscious meal out.

We had a meal twice during our weeks holiday visiting relatives. On both occasions we were lucky enough to be served by ROSIE. This young lady is an exceptional member of your team and made the meal so much more enjoyable. The food was excellent value for money and both the presentation and portion sizes were fantastic. We had a lovely meal this afternoon and did realise quite quickly that Rosie was not on duty. However after a change of shift she did appear and the whole atmosphere changed. She is a credit to your team and I would definately be doing all I could to keep her as a valued member of your front of house staff. Menu choice was perfect and the millionaires cheesecake was a little slice of heaven. Well done .....

Food is average, annoyingly they run out of stuff on a frequent basis as well. So when you queue to order food, make sure you have a couple of options or you will spend most of your visit queuing. It a nice enough pub but for me the customer service and number of members of staff is not good enough. Its a shame that they haven't got their ordering process up together so that they have enough food for a weekend to be able to serve their popular meals like Sunday roasts. We were there at 18:00 so very early evening and they had already sold out during the day. So i am guessing there were a few disappointed people in evening. Shame really, The place is always busy and has so much potential if a little more attention to detail was applied.

They catered for a table of 18 booked in advance very well. Ordering at the bar was quite quick considering it was very busy. The food was well recieved and served promptly. If you have a large number it's best to book well in advance. Great food, good prices, helpful and efficient staff made this a very enjoyable birthday celebration.

Good prices, beers good and Bar staff are friendly. Foodwise, pie's not great, service can be a bit slow and inconsistant (burnt, wrong cheese used, undercooked) but they are happy to replace or change part of your order if you are not happy with it.

They retreaved themselves from a diabolical start! Drinks: No milk, so no cups of tea or coffee or milkshakes for the kids, then no cordial juice either. Food: no pizza for children or adults. No 12oz steak. Manager finally came to see me, had no real answers as to why his staff were Ill informed as to the availability of the menu. Keep saying 'sorry' doesn't cut it.

Went to the Old Farmhouse last night Monday 19th August, there were 3 adults and 6 children. I had booked last week but they didn't have my booking down. The manager came out and got his staff to sort a big table out for all of us. All the staff that were working were very hard working and extremely cheerful and very helpful. It's OK here, we sad that in a booth with sky sports news on a TV. Had the ultimate big combo for a starter, followed by breakfast and chicken new yorker. It was OK but slightly over cooked. Really disappointed, food was excellent a year ago, it's gone downhill since then - the "open burrito" was a disaster, according to the menu served with fresh coriander, jalapenos and a wedge of lime - all these were missing from my meal and some monster decided to substitute them with coleslaw (yuck!). Coleslaw on a burrito? Seriously? Partner ordered the pit burger, which was edible.

Always been a good place to eat but hadn't been for a while so thought we'd give it a visit.. 5 of us dined and all was good except one of use tried the new southern fried steak sandwich.. wasn't impressed.. steak was really tough and impossible to eat it as a sandwich even with it cut in half it just all fell apart.. service was fab though.
