The staff were friendly and they had reserved us a great table in the window with views over the marina. There was a large selection of non-alcoholic drink options and some vegan/vegetarian options for meals. Recommended.

Amazing place, been many times and have no reason to stop. Staff are so friendly and attentive, food is top quality, interesting and very tasty. Drinks are drinks, but yet again a slight twist on the norm to make them special and a huge cocktail menu. Stunning views across the marina. Can get very busy, so best to book or if possible visit mid week early afternoon. See you all there.

Lovely atmosphere went for lunch after trying 8 other places. We really wanted a sandwich but nowhere does those any more, so we had some lovely skinny fries and garlic bread which was delicious, service was good and efficient. Lovely views of Ocean village.

A small get together for my Mum's 60th. Absolutely exceptional service. So accommodating, helpful and just lovely service all round. Offered to take photographs, asked if we needed anything else, even used their initiative to bring out a small birthday cake without prompt. Honestly just amazing. Thank you so much!

Erin our waitress was lovely!! She was very attentive, friendly and kept asking if we needed anything! The place is lovely! The only issue was the sausages on one of the mains - not the best. But other than that, very much enjoyed our visit!

Visited on daughter’s birthday as a table of 5, Wednesday at 1pm. Obviously restaurant wasn’t anywhere near full capacity, more like 30%….. So disappointed having to wait 10min to order drinks after been shown to table. Then to ‘add’ the food order to the drinks order. Really wanted a celebratory drink prior to ordering food, but it is, was it is…. Disappointing again having to request drinks in between starters/main course when 2x pint glasses have been empty for 5 minutes on table… Food was good, waitress was ‘happy enough’ but would recommend to the management that staff need to be more proactive in the role, especially when it comes to empty drinks in a restaurant that’s not busy at all

Lovely resturant me and three friends stumbled in for lunch at the end of our weekend in Southampton. Service was very good, the staff were kind and attentive. The resturant and bathroom was extremely clean. Great view right out to the harbour. The food is incredible, I would 100% recommend the fish tacos and the hummus and homemade bread.

A perfect location for a date. Located by the Southampton Quay overlooking the boats. A very lush environment with an amazing view. Great for a Brunch or just a few pints and cocktails. The service is very good and very friendly staff. The food was very nice and tasteful, it was priced slightly on the higher side. However I’d expect this as it is in a prime location. A must visit restaurant if visiting Southampton.

We had a birthday evening dinner @ P&P this evening. The food was delicious and 80% of the service was good but our final 5 minutes experience was awful. 4 members of the party left for the taxi, whilst 1 of us was at the bar waiting to pay. A waitress ran out to us claiming ‘ we haven’t paid’, whilst a member of our party was waiting to pay! After being so embarrassed that a staff member had ran after us claiming we haven’t an unpaid tab (of £150!) I walked to the bar with her to ensure she knew the we weren’t trying to leave without paying. Another waitress who provided us with a lovely service, told us that P&P had experienced lots of walk outs but also that managers had made them pay the tabs of walk outs, which is not only completely unethical but illegal. Please ensure you pay your bill as soon as you swallow your last bite, or fear getting chased out of the building on suspicion of theft!

The bottomless brunch is so good value. The brunch burger was delicious. The staff are so attentive and quick to replenish the Prosecco when it’s finished. Love the little jugs of orange juice and peach purée to mix up the Prosecco. Also it’s nice that they leave the bottle on the table so you can help yourself

Went to Pitcher and Piano last night for a birthday celebration. Myself and my husband had the roast beef and it was really nice! Everything was cooked and presented perfectly. I also had some cocktails that are reasonably priced considering the comparison with other places I have been, a lot of the cocktails have some entertaining quirks which makes the price worth it. The food was priced very well. The staff are very accommodating and polite. I will definitely be visiting again. I have only given 4 stars because one of my cocktails wasn’t exactly as described due to running out of an ingredient, but really not the end of the world.

Easy to find, right on the quay overlooking many boats. Nice environment. Arrived for a business lunch and felt this was the perfect setting. Great food, well presented, pricey, but the view and the setting makes it well worth a visit. Ramp access leading to the entrance on the quay side. Staff are friendly and approachable.

Good - great location on the marina especially if you can sit outside on a warm, sunny, day as you have a great view and a cooling breeze off the water. Not so good - very busy, which was expected due to the weather, however there were no where near enough staff so tables were not cleared & cleaned quickly enough - the weather forecast wasn't a surprise, so there's no excuse for understaffing. Food was very mediocre although it was served fairly quickly. A couple of comments about the outside seating area - several tables outside were broken and should have been replaced. It was unpleasant having people's cigarette smoke cloaking you while you're eating - it would have been good to have a smoking area and a no smoking area. Yes, we could have moved inside but we were in the middle of eating our meal & it was packed inside & out.

This bar was wonderful. The drinks were lovely, they have a massive selection of interesting and unique cocktails as well as the classics, wine and more. The location is gorgeous with views out of big windows looking out onto the marina. The piano was open to anyone and we were treated to a guy playing some incredible stand up piano, the vibe was amazing with the staff being over and beyond helpful and nice, cheering the piano guy on and checking in on us. My only confusion was for a bar called Pitchers and Piano, I couldn’t find any options for pitchers on the menu! Overall it was lovely.

So glad to be back out! And Pitcher and Piano is a hell of a good place to go! The staff really know how to make a good cocktail and really enjoy making them as well. The beer and spirit selection is enough to wet one's whistle with a wide variety of Beers, wines and spirits on offer. The food that the kitchen makes is extraordinary with the halloumi fries being so good that I momentarily forgot that I'm not supposed to have them. I couldn't help myself, they were just so good 🤤 All in all I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good cocktail, loves a good bite and appreciates a fantastic view of the bay area.

Shame about the service. If the stars were awarded solely on the merrits of the food and the relative price, Pitcher would be walking away with all 5. Unfortunately the other key element of a restaurant is the service, and that's where it was badly let down. An inattentive waitress annoyed us to the point where we would have serious doubts about coming back. Even though the food was delicious and good value for money, the cocktails actually tasted and looked like £8 cocktails (unlike many other places), the extremely slow service overshadowed our afternoon. We were frequently ignored by our waitress who spent most of the time chatting at the servers bench and gave us long waits to order food and settle the bill, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet. For example after bringing our food to the table, we were asked if we wanted any sauces, which we did, our host took 10 minutes to bring us one jar of mayonnaise. You would expect much more attentive waiting staff in a upmarket institution such as Pitcher. I hope management communicates this to their staff, if the host had been more attentive they'd probably have got another round of drinks from us.

We had a lovely meal here with pleasant staff. My only criticism is that the menu is a little misleading. I ordered naked chicken burger with no bun or fries and was expecting a side salad instead. When the meal arrived there was no accompanying salad. We were told that the bit of salad in the bowl with the burger was the side salad. However, it was no more than you would expect to get in a burger bun. The Manager was more than happy to provide a side salad for me and the matter was resolved. For how much that salad would have cost, that's what should be provided when ordering a naked burger as a matter of course. Other than that we had a lovely time.

I do really like this place and it's location. I wrote my last review after a few drinks and on reflection I was very unfair about the ordering system they have. I understand it's a learning curve with these social distancing measures. I have to say we were out for our wedding anniversary and we felt very comfortable there with there distancing measures. Other places in the ocean village we felt uncomfortable. The food was good on a limited menu but our burgers were a little overcooked for our liking. Everything else was lovely and we had a glass of fizzy courtesy of the house which was a lovely touch. This was our first night out in 5 months and if you want a safer night this place is playing by the rules unlike others.

How refreshing to have great service. Following the lockdown due to COVID, the menu at the Pitcher & Piano has seen a change and this has been of great benefit to the establishment. You can sit with fantastic positioning over the harbour at Ocean village and enjoy both the views and the amazing new food that was produced on the day. The Maitres d' was very welcoming and the service was was complimentary to the both the atmosphere and the food. Highly recommended, congratulations to the team at Pitcher & Piano.

Went in with some mates, I didn't want to go somewhere too busy for my birthday, or make too much fuss, and it was a really nice atmosphere. It was a tad too dark at the time to get a really good view (reflections on the windows) but nonetheless offered a good aesthetic. Service was friendly and relaxing also. Prices are slightly higher than I'd normally go for, but the quality and presentation of the cocktails more than made up for this. For the occasion, this was a really nice place to go. I can definitely see myself return to this place in future. I do want to try their food, as they weren't serving this in the late evening (but I had expected as much anyway). Tldr: Good quality cocktails at a moderate price.

A great place in Ocean Village and really friendly staff. We only went in for drinks and sadly not food. But the food looked good and quite a few people had ordered around us. The place wasn't packed but had begun to fill up by early evening and had a good vibe. I have been to P&P a couple of times and both times I've loved the cocktails (It's definitely worth going during happy hour). However when it comes to food the service is slow and if you go in a group a lot of the food is likely to be a bit tepid by the time it reaches you. The food itself is ok but nothing special. Both times I've waited so long for the food that I haven't sent it back as I've just wanted to get on and eat. Go for the drinks and the bar but not the restaurant.

Was very quiet for a Friday night on pay weekend. Expected it to be busier, but maybe its always like this as we were visiting from outside the area. The second bartender who served us was very grumpy and despite ordering the exact same mocktails as the first time, one tasted very different, in fact just tasted like orange juice with a squeeze of lime and a sprinkling of nutmeg. I contemplated complaining but thought I would most likely get an eye roll from the barmaid so I didn't.

Don't expect an early feed here, being the first in I was fortunate to get breakfast by 10:30. That said it was very tasty, the bacon being the pinnacle. Expectation however can disappoint, Bacon and potato hash is this instance is not what I expected. A few potatoes cut and fried with a nod to hidden spring onions and somewhat absent spinach didn't do it for me. Maybe next time will be more appeasing. Great view, and lots of potential however.
