A great car park and a big garden with lots of tables. A nice ambience dispite machines and piped music. Food is good for the area and pricing is ok. Service has been efficient on my visits.

Food was good and so was the table service. But the Ale situation is dire. At a Green King pub you would expect some real Ale, but no such luck. The Abbott ran out while we were waiting to be served. We order a Ŕuddy Rudolf and the IPA. The IPA ran out before the glass was full and the Rudolf was not drinkable. We ask when a new barrel would be ready. We were told they are not allowed to change Ale Barrels whilst they are open as it means cleaning the pipes. Poor excusse the Larger ran out and was changed straightaway.

Dropped a star for service timing - food arriving for a couple of us, >5 mins before the rest, which puts an awkward "should I start before it gets cold?" cloud over lunch.

This pub is gorgeous! The lights outside are lovely and inside the place is decorated beautifully! The bathrooms could do with some attention but the general pub area is lovely. The staff when we visited weren't particularly attentive and were basically having their own conversation and seemed like they couldn't really be bothered to serve us. There were a number of vacant tables that also hadn't been cleared away. Overall, I would go back but only really for the venue. We didn't eat but the food looked and smelt fab!

I have always given good reviews for this pub in the past, unfortunately standards have really slipped, walking into ladies you walk past gents all you could smell was stale urine, got into ladies toilets, very poor, two out of the three were blocked, toilet tissue all over floor, one soap empty, on way out tried to use hand gel, empty! Food.... we were a party of seven, certain beers out of stock, sat down wrote our orders down to take to bar, waste of time, starters lots missing main loads missing, even puddings missing. Wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to keep going back to bar to reorder and then have to shout over loud music, extremely disappointed with our whole evening.

We used to go here once or twice a week but the changes in management have somehow affected the atmosphere and the food have declined. Some of this is down to Greene King cost cutting and centralisation. Even though it is our nearest pub I won't be going back for the time being.

Getting worse.. The Testwood's interpretation of the current Government guidlines makes your visit a pretty painful experience. The management should try elsewhere and see how it can be done effortlessly, and without putting you off from returning.

The service, food and covid compliance was top notch. The only issue we had was registering with the venue for Covid purposes. I had the NHS app on my phone so I was able to just scan the QR code at the door. My brother didn't have his phone on him, so I had to go onto a website to enter his details. It prompted me to enter my phone number twice (like some some websites ask for your email address twice to trap typing mistakes). But everytime I entered the phone numbers it said they didn't match. I even tried cutting and pasting the number to no avail.

First time we have returned in a few years. Bar and restaurant was very busy. Had pre-booked a table online. We had been allocated a table of 5 rather than 7 but staff sorted that quickly. Bar seemed a little understaffed but they managed ok. Starters came out really quickly. A bit later was also asked if we were ready for mains which came out in good time, surprising on a busy evening. Everyone said how good the food was, decent taste and portion sizes. Popped in with a friend and had the sanwich, chips and drink special, £5.99!! Great steak sanwich, more than enough to eat and such great value. Staff very friendly and helpful and the decor modern and very comfortable. Will be back to sample the senior citizen special menu and the rest of the lovely diverse menu soon.

If you fancy a really tasty meal out at a very reasonable price and fast, friendly service, then the Testwood is the place to go! If the weather is good there is an enormous outdoor area with a paved patio and large grassed area with tables and chairs, all child and dog friendly, and your order is brought out to you by the extremely helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Landlady was amazing. Turned up at 8 hungry and with three kids on a Saturday day night and she couldn't have been more welcoming. Great food and service as well as a nice clean fresh pint. If I didn't live 250 miles away this would be my local. Highly recommended from a regular eater outer.

Had a lovely roast dinner which was cooked perfectly with loads of roast potatoes (most important thing on the plate for me) the meat was very tender and plenty of it. Slight incident with broken glass but the staff quickly got the medical box to help me and could not be more apologetic or sympathetic.

One of the better pubs in Totton for a lovely meal..nice glass of Metlot which was very nice indeed and two meals of menu for £10.95..chicken kiev which is a new edition to there menu..very tasty breaded chicken with a jug if garlic sauce with chips and peas. We both enjoyed it and afterwards had cake abd coffee for £2.99..staff as usual very polite manager always comes up and asks if everything is ok..I like that. Defo recommend..

Was lively apart from the couple that were sitting at the table next to us and were sompletely all over each other. I am not talking a little PDA she was straddling him at one point. This really put me off my food and was very uncomfortable. I expected the manager go perhaps go and say something. It's a family oub and there were lots of young children present
