I wanted to update my review after some time since I last visited. I have been to this place on and off for many years. Always received a nice welcome. It’s got a traditional style, award winning food, plenty of seating with stools and wingback chesterfield chairs. There’s also, an outdoor rear patio area with more outdoor bench seats at the front. There is also a high level of cleanliness throughout together with hand sanitizer’s available. I wish to pay tribute to “Kat” for this. And, more recently the outstanding fundraising for the people of Ukraine as well as providing supplies. I have no hesitation in recommending this place for a quick pint or a Sunday lunch. Highly rated.

Pub with an alright selection of beers and ciders. Although the bartender had to keep going to the cellar when pouring our cider pints even though the ciders were on tap(?) - In terms of the side dishes, the battered choices tend to flake off very consistently which makes the food more messy to eat than it should be as bits of batter crumble all over the place. However, those two points aside the experience was good enough overall.

One of my favourite pubs in Eastleigh. The car park can get a bit busy at times but you'll always find a spot. Never had a bad beer there! Can't comment on the food as I've not eaten there.

Went in with my family last night to eat. While this isn't the traditional "family pub" in terms of kids menu's etc they catered to us really well. The seating was lovely, the food was amazing, the chef came out to check specifically what the children would like and there was great real ale for the grown ups. Kat, the bar manager was lovely and provided a very attentive table service (including lollipops for the kids at the end of the meal). Five stars from us. We would definitely go again.

Quality pub located in a great for drinks and eating. Prices are very good and the food menu is decent. It's a good place to watch the sport, have a nice meal and a pint. It's got a traditional pub decor. Service is friendly as well. The pub is about a 10 minute walk from the train station.

Good pub in the middle of bedford place. As I've got older and found myself at the clubs less and less I find establishments like the cricketers more to my liking. I don't dislike clubs but I do find I like to actually be able to hear the person next to me talking whilst having a drink. The cricketers is certainly good for that. Drinks are not a rip off either.

Great local food at a good price. Steak nights on a Monday is a long time traditional among my friends and while we've tried other pubs and restaurants over the years we always end up coming back. The price, types of steaks available, quality of the food and attitude of the staff is just exponentially better here than we have found it to be anywhere else.

A brilliant pub with fantastic food and a great selection of beers. The menu is steaks and burgers which sounds boring but the variety and quality is outstanding and makes it well worth a visit and if that isn't enough the prices are really reasonable. We went as a group and was looked after by the really friendly helpful staff who explained the differences between the cuts of steak the flavours and nothing was too much for them. We had a really great night and will be returning next time we are in Southampton.

Great little pub in an area surrounded by pub chains and generic establishments that are the same whatever town or city you go to. A solid food menu, selection of beers and ales all at a very reasonable price. The pub has nice feel with a small but functional rear courtyard garden.

I've been going to The Cricketers on Steak Night on and off for the last 7 years. If your going to go then do it on a Monday night as they have three types of affordably priced steaks that are always cooked exactly how you ask (why is it usually so had to get a medium rare steak?). I honestly love this pub, they have a huge variety of ales, beers and spirits and as a gin and tonic drinker I appreciate their large range of tonics as much as their range of gins. Plus the staff and the locals are all good people. If you want a good, chilled out night out with friends and good food then try this pub. You won't regret it!

Went there to have meal with 2 grandsons and my daughter and my husband as it was convenient. Chickpea burger beef burgers sirloin steak and jacket potato with stilton and bacon were all good. All came with either fat chips thin chips salad garnish homemade coleslaw. I'm not not keen on mayonnaise plus in the coleslaw and forgot to ask for no dressing on my salad. That was my fault. Friendly and efficient service. Loved the real pub feel. Would go back again. My husband who likes steak was impressed with his sirloin. Also does a T Bone. Drinks weren't overpriced. Coffee hot.

The cricketers is a hilarious little place - it is a compact pub at the best of times, but at the weekend they like to pretend that they also have enough room for a band. It's fun though, the beer selection is reasonable and it's like a proper local pub, but in the city centre.
