Good pub, good beer ... friendly staff and open people to talk to.

Only top tier pubs play Nickelback — absolutely class.

12 tables in the garden, only 3 or 4 with heating. Out of at least 4 beers, it is just after lockdown but a bit disappointing. Coors light was £2-90/pint. The person behind the bar was very helpful and apologetic. Sport was on in the bar but no-one could watch out and no TV in the garden

This is more of a student pub than anything else but there are several non student locals that use it. It seems friendly and based on my experience it is almost as cheap as a wetherspoons. Recommended!

One of them alright pubs. You go in you drink and you leave nice and easy. They don’t accept card though and the nearest cash point has started charging for cash withdrawals which is a shame. And the fact that they allow dogs adds an extra star because everyone loves dogs ! :)

Best pub I've been to in the area. Look after their beer, charge very very sensible prices, not sure I've ever been so pleased with a pint at such a luxury of having been well looked after and a low price. Beer selections to seem to rotate a little bit, although Doombar is always available. Very wide selection of lagers and ciders available on draught as well. 5 televisions (4 big ones and one little one) showing two different sporting events simultaneously. Great for watching the Champions League on a midweek evening. Very friendly staff and the landlord is a great guy who takes his pub seriously.

FANTASTIC SERVICE!!! Hello there reader, This establishment is a feast for the senses, with great beverages, fantastic coverage of sport and excellent, I mean EXCELLENT, service. One barmaid who goes by the name Amy, really topped off my night. Making me feel beautiful and cherished as a customer of this local watering hole. Amazing prices on drinks and majestic service, can’t say much else!

Arranged to go here with a friend at lunch. Used to drink here as a student 10 years ago but didn't have it down as a place to eat. Did us a great chicken burger with nice chips! Really interesting and varied burger menu (other food items available too) and I'm keen to visit again to try another. Completely not what I would have expected!

It's an OK kind of pub. The beer is cheaper than surrounding areas, bar staff are friendly but the only thing letting the place down is the type of people drinking there that were frequently visiting the toilets every ten minutes but I doubt that's the bar staff's fault.
