Thursday lunch , dinner and a pint ! Why not. London Pride - well kept crisp pint. The first pint was a little tepid but the second was a lot cooler and both tasted as they should. Fish and chips. For me it was a little bit mixed. It wasn't the cheapest fish and chips, and price isn't a problem as long as it is good value. £13.95 Breakdown. Chips were good and crunchy. Not greasy. Fish was a good size and cooked well. Good flaking meat and not overcooked at all. There is a but! It's a small one , but the batter was a little oily for us. Nothing major. Peas good. Had to ask for tartar sauce and was not homemade.( I don't think). The lemon wedge was just about visible! It felt a bit overpriced. Staff were friendly and laid back

Popped there for a coffee with a friend one Friday evening around 8pm. Girls behind the bar were very friendly, but advised that the coffee machine had just been switched off. They said it would take 20 minutes for a coffee, which was fine. One of the girls came over with our drinks after about 15 minutes. My friend then ordered an alcoholic drink, but had to take it back as we noticed there was still lipstick on the glass. Girls were again, helpful & apologetic. All this side, I will definitely be popping back.

Lovely pub /restaurant, with a large outdoor seating area. If your staying at the Premier Inn at Nursling (next door) you'll get 10% off your food bill. I was particular impressed with their menu but especially the glutton free and vegan menu. The latter l tried and l was not disappointed. I would have given the full 5 stars were it not for the slow service on the Saturday evening (one of the busiest nights) due to insufficient staff.

Excellent food, piping hot and tasty. Good 1/2 doz for veggie choice and provided gluten free roll with veg burger which fitted the and not a small dingy lump of dough you usually get. Tasty burger as well. Jack fruit curry yum. Outside looks scruffy but inside very clean well spaced tables toilets perfect. Staff friendly and polite.

Portion size was very good £9.95 for a huge roast dinner. The meat was served in gravy which I didn't mind, but others may not like that. Roasties were really good, all very hot too. Service was pretty prompt as well. One of my party ordered lasagne which they didn't really enjoy, too tomatoey and quite dry.

Pub looks a bit dated/run down and could do with a fresh coat of paint. The menu has a huge variety and from the dishes I've had so far it is decent quality. The price is quite high but the portions are very large. Good place for a pub lunch and a drink if your in the area!

We recently held a private function in the pub. It was a sealed off area, but still part of the bar. It was a fantastic day with a good cold buffet. Staff were available to help, but stayed out of the way when they weren't needed. All requests were complied with and the area was laid out as we requested. We were very pleased with the function and did not expect it to turn out so well. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for a small private function.

Had afternoon at a few places. After going here at the Horns inn I would always return and recommend to anyone. The afternoon tea is filling and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's great value for the price. The sandwiches and scones are so fresh and the choice of cakes are lovely. We couldn't eat it all and was able to take the leftovers away with us. Definitely book here if your looking for a decent afternoon tea.

Don't be put off by the busy car park, there is more on the other side. Amazing choice of food. Warm welcoming environment for a cold November evening. Catered for a party of 9 without much of a wait. Want you want from a will managed pub. Food was much better than expected.

Popular pub with locals. Often crowded especially on a Sunday. Best to book if you want to eat. Service is good and the food is great - home cooked and plentiful. So plentiful that I have never managed to eat more than two courses and that was a stretch!

Really dog friendly here. Water bowls provided and doggie treats are at the bar. Food portions are generous and waiting times are good. Large garden area but right next to a busy road so expect traffic noise. A nice and friendly local pub.

My wife and I were visiting the area staying at the Premier Inn North the pub was five minutes walk away . Nice atmosphere and very good choice off real beers. Caters for different types of food intolerances they have gluten-free vegetarian vegan and lactose intolerant menus. The staff were nice and friendly and very helpful. My wife and I had the hunters chicken one of the pubs specialities this came with chips broccoli swede and carrots. The chicken was very tasty. The food came out quickly despite the pub being very busy.

Lovely homemade meal with big portions. After travelling for three hours we were expecting to eat at beefeater but they couldnt accomodate us at 5.30 so visited this pub 2 minutes away and glad we did.

We was staying at the premier Inn down the road and Beefeater couldn't fit us in so we tried this pub there was a group of us 4 adults 5 kids they accomadated us both nights, the food was good value cooked quickly and the portions were huge even from the kids menu. On New Year's Day, my family and I were visiting my brother and his wife. We all decided last minute to go out for lunch. The recommended going to The Horns Inn. The one thing that made the decision was that they accepted dogs. We chose our room and were completely bowled over by the deliciously fresh, full of flavour food. I had the cajun chicken burger. A piece of chicken, coated in cajun spices and coked to perfection. My husband had the Gish and Chips, which was delicious and our daughter had the children's macaroni cheese. Wow, that was delicious. I would highly recommend going if you like delicious food madre with love and care. The sizes of the portions were huge too.

Pleasant Evening but Noisy We booked for 6.30 and were immediately given our table. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food was served very quickly and piping hot. Just one criticism portions a little too large and broccoli not cooked, if at all. Otherwise food was first class well presented and enjoyable.
