Absolutely stunning!!!!! The staff where super friendly. What an amazing place to find. And to have waitresses and waiters make you feel so special is definitely hard to find these days. Thank you for such a beautiful special lunch. We will be back soon!!!!!

Service was excellent, atmosphere outside overlooking the water with a refreshing pint, it was so enjoyable. This was a treat. We rode up on our bicycles from bike path and got a table right away. Very clean men's bathroom with great smelling hand soap 👍 Nice touch. No pictures on this review, however I will be back for food and will post them soon.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Visited a couple of weekends back. What an absolute gem of a pub! 🐕 friendly, which is always a bonus. Amazing, fresh, tasty food. Their roasts 🥕🥔🧄🥦 are epic, and the pie 🥧 was incredible. Puddings were fab also.🍰🍨 Fantastic local cask ales too 🍺 🍺 Staff are really nice and friendly. Will visit here again for sure.

What a great place, with even greater staff. We visited on a Sunday with no booking, explained our daughters disabilities and were welcomed in. The food was great, we were very happy with everything we ordered and the cost. The staff are what made it for us overall. Very thoughtful and attentive to everything and everyone not just us. A very pleasant typical modern gastro pub. Quite rustic, nice outdoor seating, plenty of smaller cosy rooms inside so you don't feel the size of the place. Staff OK, some very helpful, some doing it for the money but good enough. And an interesting menu for pub grub. Traditional options such as fish and chips, burger and so forth but also plenty of different dishes too, like goat curry, chicken shawarma and crabby chips all very tasty indeed. Good selection of beers. You'll need to book to eat most times but it's worth it.

It's OK they recently changed the menu and it is not as good as it used to be. . . To be honest food standard has gone abit lower then usual lately and for the price you pay it should be a better standard last time I went I bought a burger but the bottom of the bum was so soggy it was un edible the chips where also over cooked and to crunchy

The pub is really busy as you walk in, dodging the smokers and drinkers...but go to the back room and it's a beautifully decorated shabby chick room! Staff are absolutely lovely and friendly. Food was very good and very well priced. Best fish and chips I've had, it was light and flaky, not oily. Yumm!!!

2nd time after a lot of years, can say that I m very happy and pleasantly surprised from the decoration, so cozy, so warm and traditional elements all over the place add to the old time classic, rustic atmosphere. Absolutely loved it. What to say about the food, tried the tuna melt toasted sandwich and the chicken pesto with a small bucket of fries and it was tasty, delicious, full of flavour the pesto was freshly made the cheese was melted enough to feel the smoothness and the bread slices cut from a loaf were crunchy. Bit of salad by the side tomato, cucumber and green leaves. Highly recommend. And the walk down the morrow streets reminded me of a walk in a small island . Well done

Wow what a lovely little pub! Was fab to be able to sit outside in the early evening whilst it was absolutely belting it down with rain, all snug and covered by the pergola. I could easily have sat there all night! 🥂 The staff were really friendly too so we will definitely go again.

I love this place! The drinks and food are a bit pricey but I think it's worth it as the atmosphere is great! Everytime I've been there's been a live acoustic guitarist playing some classic songs! Great garden area that's mostly undercover. I usually take a blanket to be extra cosy too! Staff are really friendly but I do feel like you can tell they are quite inexperienced...sure it won't take long for them to get back into the swing of it though!

Booked here for lunch, lovely setting in the garden/patio area at the front. Ordered chicken nuggets for the kids, chicken katsu for my wife and the lobster roll for myself. We shared starters of loaded fries and calamari. The starters came out quickly and were tasty. Unfortunately the main course took a long time to come out, we saw other people getting mains who had ordered after us. The kids chicken nuggets appeared to be shop bought style, however they were overcooked, dry and unappetising. My girls love chicken nuggets but ended up leaving some. My wife's chicken was good but the katsu curry sauce was very, very salty and the rice appeared to have been burnt?? I'll finish on a positive as my lobster roll and chips were really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was expensive. Overall a pretty average meal which was a shame.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch in a group of eight. We had an outside table which provided a pleasant atmosphere for a mid- walk lunch. Service was helpful, friendly and efficient. Food was varied, with something for all tastes. Everyone enjoyed their food and the real ales went down well after the first half of our walk. Would happily recommend and return.

This pub is a pearl, a thing of beauty. We sat outside for our meal so all we saw of the bar was an enticing shimmer of bottles, pumps and glassware. I am amazed we resisted moving inside. It can only be because the small garden of canopied tables was equally welcoming. The sensibly limited menu offered a more than satisfactory selection of quality food which was reasonably priced and served very nicely by very attentive staff. There is no more to be said really, other than that Hamble itself is a heart achingly pretty Georgian oasis. If you get a chance to visit this pub, and the town, you are well advised to put both on your itinerary.

We have never been to the King and Queen pub but as we walked passed we saw a lovely outside area with plenty of social distancing and a guitarist playing. We were greeted and taken to a table and luckily we had the table next to the guitarist. We chose a bottle of wine from a good variety for every palate and prices were good. We were served by Anna who was really pleasant and looked after ourselves well and later the landlady came over to say hello which was nice. We had a great night and Steve Osman is a very talented guitarist and provided superb entertainment. Loved it so much we have booked a table for Thursday night and it is steak night. Lovely pub, staff really friendly and welcoming, entertainment great, prices good ......what more can you want😊 Highly recommend.

I eat here regularly out of COVID and now have their Sunday roast which I collect.The food is very good and reasonably priced. The ambience is lovely in this pub both inside and out. They have a deli here downstairs but currently selling flowers, small plants, cards, bread, vegetables, cheese and other items out the front of their pub garden. Will get some pics of outside next time I swing by.

Father & daughter adhoc pub / restaurant meal - a 100% must visit, delicious fish & chips. Pricier than normal but well worth the value. It's our go-to local pub. Service is always good and theres a nice vibe. The only real downside is lack of seating. It's a small pub which they cant help, but they do have a downstairs area which tends to be shut every time we visit. Especially during the winter months, we've ended up visiting the other pubs on the strip as it's far to cold to sit outside and theres no room inside to stand especially during the weekend.

Went on Sunday 28th July for lunch with friends. 4 of us in total. We sat outside as we had my dog which they are happy to have. Plenty of water bowls around. Our table was booked in advance as advised due to its popularity. We all ordered the combo roast. Unfortunately we waited for over an hour for it to arrive and when it did they were all cold! They were happy to take it back and change them. 10mins later new dinners arrived and fresh veg. However they were only luke warm but the plate was so hot you couldn't touch it. I personally would have preferred it the other way round! Anyway I didn't eat mine as I like my food hot especially roast potatoes. The others did eat them but did so out of hunger and said that theirs weren't much different. Had heard good things about the pub and the food and was bitterly disappointed. The food looked great so it was such a shame.

Went for a cycle with my neighbour and ended up here. Extremely friendly landlord, even had a little chat about bikes and cycle routes. This is a great example of how pubs should be run. Would definitely want to come back here in the summer months.

Stepping inside, you immediately understand why everyone calls the King and Queen "The Rum Pub". Spend a few minutes, and you'll also know why they've won so many awards (World’s Best Yachting Bar 2014, Winners of The Best Bar Team – London and the South 2015 – GBPA). This is a great pub with great food, lit by candles and with a roaring open fire. With well kept beers and an eating area which is just off the main bar so it keeps its "Pub" roots with plenty of people popping in for drinks throughout the day and evening. You can also eat in the bar on long wooden tables. Sailing memorabilia is everywhere as are local notices and lots of photos. If you like Rum there are 30 odd tipples available for "Pirates" . Throw in the odd live music evening and the beautiful surroundings and outside space just off the cobbled high street just yards from the Quay and the Hamble River, it's a near perfect recipe.

Nice little pub near the center of Hamble village. Can get quite busy at weekends etc. Food and drink selection is excellent. Staff very helpful. "Reserve" stickers need to be used to avoid the embarrassment of sitting at a table that someone had booked.
