Reviews of The New Forest, Ashurst
Pub has a huge garden which is lovely in the summer. A massive cosy interior in the winter. Food is pricey but I feel brilliant value as the quality is great. Service is outstanding. Sunday lunch is the best around. Miles of forest to explore behind and build up an appetite. Really enjoyed some of the events put on recently I look forward to some more
Visited Ashurst to take a day hike in the nearby woodland of New Forest. The route I planned was around 18km of which just the 3-4 were on an existing track. The rest was completely off track and I was rewarded with a "shower of nature". Streams, wild horses, mud, bog, low vegetation, deer etc. The pub visit for a pint was the cherry on top. Great pub, friendly staff, and a well deserved IPA after a great day. Would happily go back to explore further.
Great location in the middle of the New Forest, this local pub is very spacious with a beautiful outdoor terrace. Authentic British pub experience with nice craft beers available!
We had starters and burgers for four here, friendly staff, safe atmosphere, we ate in the garden area which was well laid out.
Food was excellent for a pub-style relatively affordable meal.
Cost was about £100 for four including starter, main, drinks and desserts
One star off as the ordering app wasn't working (for anyone) which caused stress for the wait staff and an excessive delay for customers, not the pubs or the staffs fault but this is part of the fullers chain so should be able to keep this working.
We choose this pub to meet with some friends half way. The location & garden is spectacular. We had a really good time, although they were working on a much reduced menu, what we had was first class & nicely cooked. Jade, our waitress for the evening, is a real treasure, and contributed greatly in making our evening so enjoyable. The rest of the team were good too, pleasant, efficient & cheerful. We will visit again!
Been here a couple times for drinks now and it's a cracking pub. The staff are really friendly, it has a great selection of drinks and it has a stunning outside area to sit in. Luckily we've had great weather on both visits so it's lovely to sit outside and enjoy your drinks. Looking forward to coming in for a meal tomorrow!
Came across this lovely place when we were looking for a place to eat. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The food was amazing and when wete down that way we shall visit again. Thank you.
Most definitely one of Most agreeable pups in the New Forest area. Exceptional service and excellent food standards and facilities. All credit to the manager. She is first class.
Great pub - went on a lovely sunny day and sat outside with 10 of us in the evening. Staff were very attentive and genuinely nice. Great selection of beers and the food was lovely. There is a nice modern park area in the very large garden and plenty of space for the kids to run around in. If only more pubs were like this, will definitely be returning when back in the area.
We have had a wonderful meal at The New Forest. We are driving down to a family reunion in Devon and decided to stop off for lunch half way in Ashurst. We are very impressed with the roasts, two of us had the trio of roasts and two had the turkey. Great value for money for the portion you get, all parts of the roast were delicious (even the red cabbage!) and came with plenty of gravy. The service has been amazing too with nothing being too much to ask and all members of staff have been very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back should we be in the area again.
Enjoyed a vegan lunch on a lovely sunny day! I had the burger and my mum had a veggie lasagne. The beer garden is lovely and we'll certainly be back! Beautiful walks close by. Easy payment method on the app where you order too. Everything about the visit was enjoyable and easy. Staff friendly too.
Lovely dog-friendly pub. We arrived just too late to eat lunch - Monday around 3pm - but the food we saw others eating looked wonderful. Staff were really warm, friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful pub. We stopped for a drink with the dog - yes, they are very dog friendly! They even have a dog corner with bowls for water and treats! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Also has a large car park with plenty of spaces!
Being a Fuller's pub, you know what to expect. The English beer is fine and the food of reasonable quality, but not the cheapest.
The pub is dog friendly, and the staff efficient. However the ambiance and presentation lacks a degree of finesse. Some tables were left uncleared and our table although appearing clean felt "sticky" to the touch.
To be fair, our visit was mid week, late afternoon and the staff were probably between shifts. Unfortunately not all the items on what seemed a fairly limited menu were available. This now seems to be a recurring issue with "Fuller's" eateries.
I don't like marking pubs down where the staff are trying their best and where the problems are more down to the management and/or the establishment's policies.
I have driven past this public house on the edge of the New Forest over many years but have never actually called in.
My nephew and I were out on a bike ride in the beautiful Forest and when returning home we decided to stop for a drink as we were very dehydrated. The weather was extremely hot . Two bottles of alcohol free beers did the trick, sat in the beautiful gardens in the shade under a tree... absolute bliss.... would have loved to have stayed longer.
Sometime in the near future I intend to bring my family here for lunch, before winter...
Mother and I were having a walk in the forest when we came across this fabulous pub ! The staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. Two real fires when you walk in and dog friendly. Mother and i will be coming back again and recommending. 5*
Need a drink or feed before you catch the rail, this pub should do the trick! Its significantly large in scale with lots of tables in different environments from being near a fire place, to a more spacious indoor setting with a view of the forest, or if you're interested, the large spacious outdoor seating is just amazing on those sunny and less colder days. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The food was great, good decent portions and decent prices too. Would come again!
Update 16/8/22, from 1 star to 4 . Landlord asked us to give them another go and made an offer to encourage us. Step change, service, food, environment, excellent. Wish this had been the case before. Good enough for me to confidently say I will go back again. I'll do a best of three and decide from there..... I want them to get it right, I like the place.
Nice pub, location and staff. Which you usually find with Fullers. Food awful. Inedible chicken burger for a child. Pie and chips terrible, chips horrid and pie chewy pastry, veg was a bit if old cabbage. Just like the Pilgrim (Fullers) down the road which served me the smallest fish and chips I've ever had. Lovely pubs, want to eat there but so let down by the food. Fullers do something about this.
Exceptional food.
Steak cooked to perfection. Customer service was flawless.
Cleanliness was outstanding.
Beer was fresh and prices were reasonable.
We will be back.
Beautiful..... brilliant staff, very friendly, stunning food and unbelievable surroundings. If you are in the area its superb place for good honest hearty food for a reasonable price. We cannot fault it.
Food was consistently the best (i.e. for main course and dessert) so far out of our three days in the New Forest. Service was a little "relaxed" with five different staff attending to us in total. I understand that staffing is a struggle for the catering sector at the moment, so we all need to be understanding and I make the remark simply as an observation and not a criticism.
Well organised and very friendly staff. Amenities kept very clean.
Reception very helpful and there is a small shop there selling tea, coffee and basic items like toothpaste and brushes, toiletry items. Also items for BBQ s, iceblocks for cool bags can be borrowed.
Watch out for hungry horses though. They will take your food if you leave it out!
Nice camping area with plenty of space. Good clean shower and toilet block, with laundry facilities. The site is quiet at night but close to the railway line so bring earplugs.
Food really good but what stood out was the staff, lovely front of house staff and as they were super busy the head chef was bringing out food and he couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly… perhaps the next landlord/GM?! Oh and the kids lovely the playground!
A good location with free parking where we started and finished our walk. It became very busy on Friday afternoon. The BBQ chicken was delicious and the coleslaw was particularly good. The crumble was homemade but the custard was a bit dilute. There wasn’t enough waitresses to do the service but they were very friendly when they had times.
Every single person gives awesome service. The food is top quality. The atmosphere is brilliant. What more could you want from a pub?
Lovely 'pie of the day', but I'd have liked a more substantial meal for the money (the pie was a good size but the sides were slightly lacking). The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great 👍🏻
Fantastic place. Food was amazing and staff very friendly and happy to help.
Brilliant play area too with beautiful views.
Visited today for the first time. Lovely restaurant and bar. Very cosy and perfect for an autumn rainy day like today. Roast dinner was delicious, good quality meat, home made roasties and tastey fresh veg with a decent sized home made Yorkshire pud. I would definitely recommend. My son had the beef burger and my daughter the salmon, both enjoyed and had clean plates at the end. Oh, and it's a dog friendly pub. *****
Visited on a quiet Saturday night, just two of us. We both had the Fuller's Frontier Battered Haddock. Very tasty and a decent portion. Sadly no crushed minted peas so normal peas instead. Slices of lime in the Kiwi and Lime Cider was a great touch, very refreshing. 4/5*
Food was good. Service was lacking....
Don't want to sit there looking at empty plates and glasses. Don't see it as the guest's job to collect them, either.
Great food and ambience inside, cosy with the fire. Lovely garden. A bit pricey but then most of the pubs in the New Forest are ;)
As we are used to by now of the Britt's, this is a clean and well organised national park. Wild horses, nice and quiet nature, well kept hiking and cycling roads, and staying at one of the many campsites inside the park. Relax, you're at peace 😀. Absolutely love it.
A very nice meal to celebrate a special birthday, food was good and the waiter excellent, dealing with 40+ guests with a cheerful smile.
Very cosy and delightful pub. Great setting in the New Forest. A couple of open fires there too
Fullers pub. Large restaurant and garden with play area for the kids. London prices for fresh ingredients locally sourced which result in mediocre meals. Small portions. Service not great but friendly. Nothing special.
Lovely, unassuming pub in the New Forest. Burgers, fish & chips and gammon were great. Good portion size!
Large and comfortable pub in the New Forrest, dog and child friendly. Menu is enticing & interesting food but portions were mean considering the price - £15 for a small lamb burger and tiny portion of chips - and the burger was over-salted. Nice pub in a great location but sadly a disappointing food experience.
Lovely area off season Not the same during the summer People find it hard to respect this ancient place
It was a quiet lunchtime. But food was lovely and service was friendly. Would recommend to all.
Absolutely fabulous, went for a birthday meal with my family. Food was fantastic, great atmosphere and efficient team. Would highly recommend.
Omg not been here for some time and just had the best medium rare rump steak ever - and 10oz to boot , my wife’s dinner haddock & chips was superb too!!! Staff also very friendly and efficient.
Very quiet due to its position next to Ash Hurst NewForest Station and the rail strike.
Staff wondering how to get home.
Rail staff on strike should appreciate what they've got instead of ruining other peoples lives.
We had a great experience with visiting family - attentive and friendly staff and chef with food allergies, great food, lovely garden to sit outside and play area for kids. Highly recommended
Lovely today in the garden. Had a wonderful Roast dinner and so easy to order on the mobile at our table 😀
Lovely lunch with friends in the beautiful garden after a walk today. Food was great, friendly staff and the best hanging baskets I've ever seen.
Generally ok. Ordered desert and portion was ridiculously small. Brownie was size of a teaspoon. Then tonight the kids ordered the same dish, chicken burger, in another Fuller's, and it was 10x better.
Been a customer for many many years. Love the location, ideal for meeting those getting a train, or coming off the motorway. Fabulous garden with tables spread out and always welcoming to dogs. Plenty of space for kids to play in playground or run around without disturbing other customers. Food and service over our time been up and down but definitely at a high most recently. Visit today showed they have also coped with allergies and covid very well.
Awesome! Had the Sunday roast, the chef walked past me and I commented on the red cabbage, best I have eaten ever , he thanked me then came back with a large pot full for me to take home , lovely attentive staff too, 😀
Excellent food, great staff and service. Everything was nice and clean and priced well when compared to other local eateries.
Was really good, had a great catch up with Charlotte!
Nice and chilled environment even though they were busy (was Sunday afternoon)
Great service on a busy night. Good atmosphere. If I was local I'd be a regular and will probably visit again.
What a gem!! Had lunch today in their lovely beer garden. Quality food!! Friendly staff. Will return!!
Very friendly and helpful staff.. even asked if any of us had allergies. Definitely going back
We had been to this pub a few times for drinks and then on Thursday we decided to have a meal as the food looked really nice..
We ordered 2 children's meals,Pork chops which was on the specials board and Harissa spiced chicken with couscous.
The restaurant wasn't very busy at all, maybe 6 families seated at tables.
After 1hr we were still waiting for the food to arrive and we could hear other customers complaining about the wait!
The spiced chicken meal was really nice just lacked in flavour and was risotto not couscous as stated, which was for the better as more filling! The Pork chop meal was a bit scarse considering the price..
Finishing on a good note the Banoffi cheesecake with caramel ice-cream was absolutely delicious..
The waiting staff were very apologetic and accommodating to us throughout our meal. When the bill was produced none of the 4 main meals were included only drinks and the desserts as a gesture of goodwill..
Great place for an excellent plate of food.
Lovely staff.
Our waitress was Mia and she was very helpful and attentive.
Will come and visit again
Nice food, allow dogs very pleasant staff polite and professional
Good food. Very busy on the day we went with live music and the garden open but service was good and we enjoyed it.
This is such a beautiful pub in a beautiful area the stuff r amazing there and the food is gd I loved every moment there cant waite to go back got a kiddie play area too and the garden is massive .
Always have a nice meal here. Friendly staff, easy booking and good traditional pub grub. Good selection of beers and plenty of space. Plus handy walks into the forest nearby to either work up an appetite or walk of the meal.
Loved it here - brilliant food and friendly staff
Make sure to visit and have a sandwich!! Great tasting food after a long hike
Food was lovely and staff very friendly
A very pleasant and relaxing country pub with a very plush and rich decor. It is also very conveniently located right next to the Southampton to Bournemouth railway line. So I visited there last weekend and it is still as cosy and as comfortable as it was before.
Wonderful pub located in Ashurst on the edge of the New Forest. I have been coming here for the past 30 years and seen many changes but has always been very welcoming. It's ideally located right next-door to the train station and a campsite and has a lovely outside space for families to enjoy. The food I feel is a bit pricey but is very good. No doubt, I shall continue to be a customer for the next 30 years when passing through or camping in the area.
Niece place on the edge of the New Forest. Big garden area with kids playground, quick service at the bar, live music.
Magnificent views, great photo opportunities and a really calming atmosphere. Would fully recommend visiting!
Nice pub, only went for a drink and children played in the park so cannot comment on the food.
Good food ,fast service and two mins from the campsite.loved it.
Visited with a group on a busy Bank Holiday weekend. Perhaps too busy, the staff were getting pulled all over the place and there were frequent minor delays. That said, the food was great and the kids enjoyed the play area. Would return but maybe pick a quieter weekend.
I must say I was a disappointed. We'd looked at the menu online beforehand but when we got there the menu was even more limited. No fish, no lasagne, no shepherd's pie etc. Pub staples that should be available. It's not like we wanted anything out of the ordinary. The children's burgers weren't great. Rest of food was OK, but very average. If we hadn't have been meeting people there we would have found somewhere else to eat. Service was good and staff pleasant, but I wouldn't go there again.
Lots of space outside; great for families and friends to drink, eat and chat in the sun
Great Pub with decent food. Had our first post lock down meal here and it was so great to be eating out again. Using in app to order drinks and food was fine but won't suit everyone because there was no other option. However this is part of their Covid measures to minimise social contact and will probably be lifted once we finally get back to some sort of normality.
Very quaint little pub, Food to a good standard.
Lovely clean pub, cozy lighting and good location. Staff that served us were friendly and helpful. The food was basic pub grub, but still tasty and well presented.
We had our wedding day reception here, Annette has been amazing, we had to postpone twice because of covid restrictions and nothing was too much trouble. Annette was reassuring and positive throughout the whole process. Our wedding day food was lovely, all hot and served at the same time, I would highly recommended hiring this venue for a large sit down meal or party. Annette and her staff are all professional and friendly. The play area was great for the kids and the large garden was lovely for all my guests to sit out in the sun. We hired the conservatory and it was decorated with flowers and fairy lights which looked so pretty. Thank you so much to Annette and her team! All the best, Hayley and Tomasz
Yesterday I travelled to Hampshire with my elderly parents to see my son for the first time in 15months . We had booked a table and five mins after arrival the heavens opened to a deluge of rain. This led to the decision to understandably closing the kitchen however after hearing our journey the chef agreed to cook our meal which was lovely and enabled us to eat together as a family for the first time in ages. Thank you to all those who helped and will definitely visit again.
Lovely garden and play area. Food was ok but small portion and not much choice. Staff weird and made us book a table for after 6pm but the place was not even half full and the menu seemed available all day. So not sure what that was about.
Great location and nice gardens. Service was very covid secure but second time I went for lunch, the service was slow for drinks in high temperatures. Good looked underwhelming but was actually very tasty. Both times I had the vegetarian options and it was good value for money. Dogs are allowed in the garden and there is lots of space. Recommended place but do need to speed up lunch service please.
Great spot. Cracking beer garden with loads of shaded seating and an awesome play park for the kids. Didn't eat, but the booze was reasonably priced. Try the Electric Boogaloo on tap.
A fine and well run establishment making all patrons feel welcome and Covid safe. The indoor bar and restaurant areas have well spaced table's which I witnessed to be sanitised the moment customers had left. A large beer garden area with lovely views onto the forest allows for more freedom and the Fullers table ordering app for drinks and food makes everything so easy. All in all a stress free and enjoyable experience.Well done to the whole team and thanks for making these in normal time more bearable. We will definitely be visiting again.
Lovely outdoor seating and good beer selection.
Great pub lunch, staff superb. An elderly couple next to us couldn't use the app order and the staff made an effort to help. On top of this, the couple were worried about family who were joining them who hadnt arrived, and the staff called the family to check they were ok. Wow, what service. Fullers should be very proud of all of the staff at this pub. They showed that they really care about their customers.
Nice lunch and very friendly.staff. lovely garden area.
We popped in for a bit of food one evening when there was some live music on, seemed to be a nice pub, food was good.
Very helpful staff and delicious food. Play park was good. 10% discount for staying in the nearby campsite was ideal.
We went for a family birthday celebration on Saturday. It was really lovely. Great setting, lovely food, almost a la carte (the portion sizes were just right) and good service. We were particularly impressed with the setting, and will be spending much more time there.
Very clean, and serves cool water in dispensers when it was really hot
Pleasant garden friendly service and just had sandwiches for lunch which were fine. Two real ales on and the London Pride was excellent ... Just had to ask for the glasses to be topped up which was done with grace!
Excellent pub. Beautifully decorated and has lots of seating. The menu is very far from pub grub and is of an excellent standard and quality. I had fish and chips and it is by far the best I've ever had outside of cornwall! The portions are huge as well, I could have shared my meal and still been satisfied. The only reason I'd not rate it 5 star is because:
We ate for 5pm on a Sunday, and we're told roast dinners were sold out. Fair enough... However we then overheard somebody being told there was no more fish and chips and the the dessert we wanted was also unavailable. Also there was no dairy alternative dessert other than sorbet. Everywhere has sorbet, it'd be nice to have just one proper dessert option which is dairy free. Overall definitely go to eat, it's divine just get there early in the day.
Awesome food, decent beer and the bar staff are great too
A slight issue with delayed order (nobody's perfect) but we had some really good food here. Even a simple burger had loads of flavour. If we were local, we'd be going back soon, but thanks for a great meal!
Nice food with a decent amount of options. Not an amazing selection of ales on tap but some standard Fullers options like London Pride. Good cider selection if you enjoy strong, still ciders. Lovely large garden with children's play area. Pretty busy (we went on a Sunday) so I guess booking is recommended if you want to eat indoors but we were seated outside no problems.
Great place for a drink especially in the summer times!
Really lovely staff. The whole app for ordering your food is a complete pain and takes away the enjoyment of eating out. Not necessarily Fuller's fault but it would have been nice to be given an option to order from theenu as it's not mandatory. The food was ok, nothing special at all. The nachos had the tiniest bit of cheese melted on top and was basically a pile of dry naked chips underneath. Toilets very clean, parking was good. I'm not going to rush back, having said that its not a no no to visit again.
Great pub/restaurant. Very comfy relaxing leather sofas to lounge in. Very dog friendly and very helpful polite staff. Lovely food. Plenty of parking.
Favourite pub in the New Forest, lovely atmosphere, plenty of parking, good selection of drinks on tap
An attractive and very popular pub. We booked for Sunday lunch, and when we arrived it was so busy that we had trouble getting parked. The pro's: good ambience, and good food. The con's: we booked in advance, but we were put in the bar rather than the restaurant where there was no waitress service. The food was very good. However, although we booked for the restaurant, the food took a full hour to come out, and when it did, perhaps due to the distance from the restaurant, it came out slowly, leaving people with food on the table waiting for the food of the rest to arrive. There was nowhere near enough gravy on any of our dinners. Once more arrived, we could finally enjoy our dinners, which were good. I'm in two minds as to whether I would return, as we were celebrating two birthdays, and it just wasn't quite good enough.
I work at a fullers pub a while away and was very pleased with the service and food from the pub, we where served by a lovely waitress called bunny who I would recommend highly as she tended to our customers needs dedicatedly, 10/10 would recommend
Very nice Fuller's pub in the New Forest. Good and well kept beer. Excellent menu with a wide variety, they often do some more gamey meats and pies which you don't often see at other places. Very large restaurant area, they used to do a popular Sunday carvery and buffet but they have stopped this now. You can still get a roast though. Attractive large bar area where you can eat and drink, and this part is dog friendly too. Always had good service here and the prices are reasonable given the quality.
Really enjoy this pub every time I go.
Dog friendly, great food, great selection of drinks and coffees, they show the sport on a projector and they have a HUGE beer garden for those beautiful sunny days with a BBQ menu.
Parking is a bit of an issue sometimes but well worth a visit!
=)
Considering I've lived here for a while now this is the first time I've been here for food bit expensive but lovely and its got an amazing park for the kids don't think I've seen my son have a better time out for a meal friendly staff and a humble atmosphere
One of our favourite pubs in the forest. Came for lunch which was reasonable price. Kids meals are £5 and a good size. Good selection of drinks and beers on sale . Staff are always welcoming. Car parking can get busy but there is more parking at the station behind and you can nearly always find a space .
Excellent well run pub. Ordering online was quick and efficient everything clean and tidy. The food was good and ale was well kept. Lovely beer garden.
Exceptional quality food for usual new forest pub prices. Drinks are fairly expensive as most Fuller's pubs are, the great service and atmosphere make up for it.
Lovely pub with friendly staff and good food. We had chicken roast and a burger, both of which were really good. Would have preferred more or stronger cheese in the burger and less cold tomatoes but otherwise great. Very good chips too.
Staff were friendly and helpful, they took allergies seriously and went an extra step to cater for them. The place has nice views and a relaxing atmosphere. The food was ok but the big let down were portion sizes and price. A reasonably small and not particularly special burger was £13! It came with a small handful of quite greasy chips. One of our group had the roast lamb which was centred around a large lump of fat and didn't contain much lamb. One person had a pie that they said was tasty. On balance, would come here for drinks but not the food.
Once again this year for the second time I find myself at odds ends with the corporate machine that is Fullers. Playground is currently closed. Is that info on the website? Of course not. This was partly my reason to come here. I can't fault the food or the staff. I just wish pubs had the liberty to update their own content to avoid customers' disappointments.
While at this lovely pub on Sunday 20th for lunch, I was unfortunately taken ill. The attention and care I received from the staff was absolutely amazing! They were so caring and helpful that I'm pleased to say I made a full recovery. All involved with this establishment should feel immensely proud. Cant thank you enough!!
Nice food, bit pricey. Booked as it advertised carvery. No sign of carvery so had Sunday lunch but not all food available. Bar staff didn't know menu too well neither did manager at the time when asked about children's two course meal as advertised but apparently not two courses for Sunday! We had a party of nine, not all food came out together. Lovely surrounding and nice outside area including play area but needs maintaining, as flooring very green and slippery and noticed a couple of children slip up.
Great food, a couple of well kept real ales, service wasn't great but that's perhaps to be expected at the moment. Massive garden and quite a lot of room indoors too
Lovely food great service
Had an early dinner here on our way home from Southampton. It's a large place inside and outside in summer it's lovely to bring the children as there's plenty of space for them to burn up energy. Food is good. Service is slow and worse if it's really busy so bear this in mind when you arrive. But not a bad way to spend time over a beer or glass of wine with some nibbles while you wait for the main dish.
Nice friendly pub but unfortunately my dinner was a little expensive for the size of the portion (Hunters Chicken) however, the roast dinner was a lovely sized portion. Staff were very attentive
Very nice pub with big open space.
Nice place, child and pet friendly.
Big garden, lovely staff.
Amazing location, amazing garden x lovely staff. Slightly limited menu to usual but ordering via an app, table service and no waiting at a bar made a huge difference, we could just chat and get in with our evening!

Great location service and food very good
This is a great family and dog friendly pub that does great food and particularly good roasts. The menu is varied with some very good vegetarian options. Spacious inside with a large outdoor area that's just wonderful in the summer. There's also a play area for the kids, and a jar of dog treats at the entrance. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's right next to Ashurst train station. Whenever we have friends or family visit from out of town we bring them here and they always love it.
We had our wedding reception here which was a really lovely do where we were very well looked after. The garden was a lovely background for pictures. Food was lovely. It was a real bonus to have the train station so close for our guests who wanted to drink then get back to hotels in Southampton. I also like to meet friends here for lunch and a dog walk as my dog is very welcome in the pub with water available for her.
Went here for Sunday lunch, staff and venue are both amazing. Ordered shoulder of lamb Sunday lunch which took some time to come, but obviously sun was out and probably their busiest day of the week. Food quality was good but the lamb was clearly a shank and not the shoulder and the veg was limited, there were 2 very small honey roasted carrots and the rest consisted of cauliflower cheese and roasted parsnips - not really the healthiest accompaniments. This also cost £17 so should be expecting a bit more for the money. Hopefully they will offer up some more vegetables with their roasts in the future.
Nice country pub. Great tasty bar snacks
Great food friendly staff
Visited after driving through the new forest, looked very quaint and pretty. Ordered the rigatoni with garlic bread, and the burger. The rigatoni was really nice, had a little kick from the chilli and the pasta was cooked just right. The chicken was slightly rubbery, but overall I really liked it. The garlic bread was the best I've ever had and I love garlic bread. The burger and chips we're also amazing, seasoned well and the chips were perfect. I would definitely recommend and will be going back next time we're here.
Lovely food and drink, staff were very friendly. Would recommend.
Love this pub huge, beautiful beer garden and play area, great food. Service could net improved as some orders have been mixed up recently. Bar staff are friendly and helpful
A very warm welcome was received from the management and staff upon arrival which made for a fantastic family meal out. The food was served quickly again adding to a pleasant evening. No complaints at all and will definitely be back. All in all a well managed pub and well worth a visit.
Very nice place, lovely garden and nice food, but found most of the serving staff fairly abrupt and unhappy to help when asked for salt/ketchup for the meals, also we ordered 3 pepsi max and 1 diet pepsi, ordered by 2 seperate people in our group via the app, the waitress came along with thre drinks all together on a try, so I asked which was pepsi max and which was diet coke? She just looked blankley at me and shrugged, said don't know, so I asked her would she be able to find out? She just said no and walked away....rude. overall a nice place but not so friendly staff.
Great food and service. Best roast beef I've had in a long time. Highly recommend
This is top notch pub food in a superb traditional atmosphere ,brilliant ambience.
The staff are welcoming. Really lovely place to eat n drink and dog friendly
Big pub, friendly staff and lovely covered outdoor area. There's a nice play area for younger children and you can easily walk here from the neighboring camp site. I would have given it 5 stars but the carpark is too small for the large number of customers and the outside patio is in need of renevation.
Been here many times but on a recent and busy Sunday lunch time, we had to wait at least 25minutes to be served drinks at the table. Would have been easier to go to the bar and get my own and I wouldnt have minded should they have said so.
As usual, rather expensive food and small portions. Perfect tourist spot so I guess thats the price you pay. If it wasnt for out-of-town visitor friends who like the location I would go elsewhere.
Marvelous service good food .
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Always a great welcome. Food is excellent and the beer is well kept. The beer garden overlooks the Forest. What's not to like?!
Good pub food, excellent fast service
Really nice pub, good food. Always stop for at least a pint if we're in the New Forest.
Portions weren't great for the regular menu, but the Sunday lunch was good and the garden is definitely the biggest asset here. There is a fenced children's play area and lots of benches to sit outside. The garden also backs onto the forest, so you can go for a nice little wander after your food. Drinks choices are fairly standard woth nothing too exciting.
First visit. Lovely pub, loads of tables, very clean, beer nice and staff very friendly. Wasn't eating so can't comment on food. Live music every Friday, quite a variety of styles/genres inc pop, rock, folk and jazz. I'll have to return to check that out. Their Facebook page lists the bookings for the coming month.
Excellent all round. We booked for 10 people on a Sunday at short notice and they managed to put tables together for us without any fuss.
The service was very good, the waiting staff were friendly and accommodating for a large family meal.
The food was lovely and hot! I have never seen such a large piece of lamb for a roast dinner. My son couldn't eat it all and I think that is a first.
The pub is very nice and felt warm and cosy on a rainy day.
I only dropped a star because of the price of the roast dinners which although they were very good were more expensive than we would normally pay.
We will deffinately have more family get togethers there in the future and look forward to enjoying the garden on a nice day.
Brilliant pub! Slightly understaffed.
Great food and great place to take the kids
I had a fantastic meal here last night & was seriously impressed with the quality of the food. I started with cauliflower soup with Stilton, which was sublimely delicious, followed by a chicken supreme on a bed of truffle pomme puree with a delicious exotic mushroom sauce & served with kale. This was perhaps the best chicken supreme dish that I have ever eaten. Beautifully cooked & thoroughly delicious. I then wanted more from the kitchen so I went for the sticky toffee pudding. Although nice, I thought the pudding itself was a bit too light for what it was, as I like to find little bits of date & really should have been generally more gooey. It had a nice ying & yang with the sweetness of the sauce & saltiness of the salted caramel ice cream as well as the hot & cold which was nice. Although I am being super critical with the latter, it was merely upstaged by the previous 2 courses. A thoroughly enjoyable & delicious meal in comfortable surroundings with great service. What more could you want ? Well done the New Forest & thanks for such a great meal. I'll be back 👍
I had the best Sunday Roast in my life -today. I had the roast chicken two ways, with roasted parsnips, carrots, potatoes, kale and cauliflower and cheese. I received an extra pot of gravy with the dish. Everything was delicious. It even reminded me of my gran's cooking. Thank you to Tim( today's chef) and his team. Also bar service was spot on. I'll definitely come back here.
Nice food, and nice pub to visit, although seemed a little disorganised from the staff, and a few bottled drinks were out of stock (which was strange as the pub was quiet). But enjoyed it anyway.
Went for a carvery on a Sunday and was disappointed to find this was no longer offered. However, there was a roast option available of the menu. Food will still very good, although the prices have risen and I find nearly £7 a lot for a pudding. When I go I always go with a group of friends. In this instance, there was 9 adults and 3 toddlers/babies. We had to order at the bar and pay at the bar, which when there is that many of you with little ones can be quite a faff. I would say that table service is something that should be bought back here. All in all, a better meal than a previous visit under the new management.
Overall a great place. Super child friendly. Massive garden and a play area for the kids to go wild. Would have been a 5* but a few dishes took far too long to get to us. However still had a lovely time.
Nice big bright pub with a large garden area with plenty of seating and a children's play area. The indoors is very pleasant and has a nice atmosphere with a separate dining section. The garden is lovely but a real suntrap and there is not much shade, a lot of the parasol spaces are taken up by outdoor lighting support which was frustrating as it was too hot in the full sun. The play area is best for children from about the age of 5, with not much for under that age. There is a large grassy area to play in.
The food was nice pub food, although I think it's quite expensive for what you get. The drinks were typical pub prices and there was a good selection on offer including sereral real ales and lagers.
All in all I would recommend this pub.
Well lovely to visit a place that has got everything so right. Dealt with by 4 different staff who were all absolutely lovely. Food amazing. Clean plates all round and 10 year old grandson loved the play area. Well done!!
Food was ok, not brilliant choice for veggies but not terrible. We sat on a table outside with an unclear number so we took a photo to show the (not very nice) barman when ordering, and then the waiter told us off for moving tables even though we hadnt moved, the barman had just got the number wrong! But generally it seemed like quite a nice place to go, probably good for families
When for drinks with friends, had a good atmosphere, nice to see it's still busy, hadn't been for a while, still a good pub with good food. The 3 starters for £15 Was just right, and don't leave till you've tried chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream yum
Great stuff super yummy food and amazing views.
Just a lovely pub all round 10 out of 10
Thoroughly recommend this pub everyone very helpful &polite food delivered to the table very quickly. Beautiful setting.
Great food, good friendly service
brilliant place to go staff really friendly and welcoming
Main course good. Dessert order completely wrong + waited over 40 mins for it! Also - waiter dished out knives + forks to eat ice cream pud! Had to ask for spoons! Would not rush back.
We phoned and asked if they had any space for our family of 4 as we were on our way home from a day out and yes then did. Very accomodating, really nice staff, nice atmosphere and of course nice food! Thank you New Forest Inn 😊
A lovely forest right on my door step, lots of different things to do and lots of places to go. There's camping, farms, animal welfare centres, ponies roaming free, lots of pubs and lots of trees to climb. A few small villages with plenty to see and doo.
Well worth a visit. We go as often as possible, and will continue going. 👍
Slow service (but was busy). Some meals nothing special, considering the price. Fish and chips was good though.
THE BEST TRIP. Thank you so much xxx
At last we are into those cosy dinner times, fire place churning out radiant heat, warm air creeping along the beautifully illuminated floor spaces. Always a delightful dinner here to take my partner out. Look Christmas Dinner menu!
The food and drink here is all from local sources and they take real care in both cooking and presentation. It is a real shame that yer carvery has gone as this was a must have on a Sunday. It also backs on to the New Forest and so you can always go for a walk before / after lunch. Not the normal range of beers they have, but still a wide range of drinks to suite all. Kids do have a seperate menu but it's not that comprehensive.
Nice family pub with great atmosphere. Lots of space inside and tables outdoors with a playground for the kids. The food is good and the staff is really friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place.
Had Sunday lunch roast was very large portion. Friendly staff and a free car park. Good pub if you are getting the train as pretty much next door. Also good location for a walk after lunch.
Really lovely day out with the boys and my parents, kicking a football, den building, fresh air and a bit of sunshine - what more could you ask for! Lots of lovely open area to go for walks and woodland area for a game or two - and all for free. Only downside for us was the amount of dogs mess, as no apparent enforcement to make owners clean it up (horses mess we expect and accept) just a shame when you have children wanting to run free and play - which is how they should be!
The waitresses were great, just the food was disappointing and over priced. The starters and puddings were very much style over substance, the main was just bland. Not awful just lacking flavour.
Nice and cozy, life music, perfectly lokated in the new forest next to railway station so I could catch the train home after the christmas meal. Taking stars away for not very warm welcome and the booked tables not being properly done on arrival.
Fuller's.. Beautiful place, lovely, tasty food and drinks. Amazing in the summer, equally as good in the cold as indoor seating. Love this place!
This is a lovely friendly pub with a great garden and play area for kids. Bbq available on sunny days and evenings and it has a really relaxed feel about the pub. The food and produce are really good quality. I just wish it wasn't quite so expensive.
It's a lovely atmosphere, calm with professional friendly staff. Only issue I had is the prices of the drinks and food were overly priced.
Had a fabulous family meal yesterday as helped prior to be covid safe by the brilliantly helpful annette and then looked after by ollie and a great team.our first visit was a real treat...great location super clean and beautiful place very friendly lovely drinks great food the grandkids were happy too...we will be back.on a less rainy day...rang annette today to.praise them all...100% thank you xx kim sheldrick
Dropped in as we were passing for a spot of lunch.
Lovely looking pub, friendly staff and what seemed like home made food, to boot.
Faultless
Probs the best of the pubs within 5 miles. Very nice interior and extensive garden area. Good menu choice and decent staff attitude. Happy to recommend.
Lovely place, very welcoming! The food was amazing and great selection of beers!
First time ordering through an app, bit weird, would've preferred talking to someone, however food excellent, if a little pricey, burgers on the good side of messy though.
Delicious smoked salmon fishcake starter, excellent venison bolognaise/tagliatelle. The only note, good hot food served on very cold plates. Probably a simple oversight.
Fine London Pride bitter.
Well done everyone.
After I picked myself off the floor from the shock of the price of 2 redbulls, we had a lovely time in the spacious garden. Lovely setting, good playground for the kids and dog friendly
Perfect place for after a New Forest walk. Log fires, friendly staff and a good ol' English pub feel.
It's quite a large pub too so probably caters for groups and family meals at what seemed to be reasonable prices.
Best of the Ashurst meagre offering, none really deserve to be in business....
My second time visiting. Polite and friendly staff, a lovely warm relaxed vibe to the place and a beautiful setting. Prices of food are on the more expensive side but for what you get it is worth it. Food was delicious and I would recommend for families or for a quaint evening meal with a significant other.
I had braised beef, 2 of my friends had the same. However theirs was pulled and cooked properly, mine was not. Tasted ok, but don't understand why1 of the same dish was done differently.
Don't serve food after 6pm on Sunday
Nice pub and out door seating area. Bit pricey . 4 drinks and a bag of nuts over £20 . Good looked nice that was coming out . Oh don't get pork scrating as £2.50 for small glass
The new forest is a beautiful national park, wild horses and pony's wondering across the fields, meadows and woodland. Lots of old English pubs and restaurants. With good weather the new forest is a lovely place to visit
We've had Fish and chips, fish was marvellous, the chips were a bit "soft". Nice place to be, large outside area with enough shade during a hot summer evening.
A beautiful pub, lovely big garden with style into the forest. The food is lovely and good service.
Just go for a drink after walking. Usually 15 or so of us. Good service pleasant outside facilities some undercover.
Good food and decent pub but the portions were very very small
A really great place for food. Great quality food, always tastes fresh. We've had two work Xmas parties here to and hey do a brilliant job.
Nice roast and service was pretty good but it felt they were a little understaffed, very polite however.
Enjoyed a a very tasty meal here.
A very warm welcome. Excellent service .Food was delicious. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Very clean including the toilets
One of the best beer gardens I've ever seen. Huge playground for the kids, and lots of seating. When we visited there was live music, a hog roast and a cider hut.
Really nice pub food, i felt safe with their COVID safety practices. It was great as they were the start and end of the Ashurst New Forest walk.
Went geocaching. Despite not finding anything of them and getting muddy in some places, we had an awesome time.
Beautiful scenery, up close and personal with the animals (horses and cows). Beautiful back garden pub in Ashurst.
So I went with mg mum for dinner and we ordered a meat feast and an Americano. The problem is that we got given a coffee instead of the Americano pizza. And I think we can all be honest and say that a coffee is not the same as a pizza. I would suggest changing the menu to avoid this confusion
The food is overpriced ordered jerk chicken it was a burger which was ok had to ask for more salad and the chips were nothing special this meal was worth about £6.00 ish it cost £11.50 But the manager was very nice and sorted more chips and salad. Nice little pub able to go for a nice walk but i wouldnt go back not impressed.
1 October 2016, 3 Diners for lunch, wonderful venue in a great location deep in the New Forest, great indoor outdoor facilities.
Excellent food, homemade pies oven baked, great taste, very impressed, professional staff, well attended good service, highly recommend.
Lovely food, app ordering not so straight forward but placed order with waitress. Felt a little close to people on the other side of a pillar.
Really lovely pub, went there a lot last summer when camping nearby. Huge outside gardens, really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. And comfortable arm chairs!
Love it here, great garden for sitting, drinking, eating but I do not have track and trace, they insist on it, will not take details by any other means
Great place to meet and enjoy a good atmosphere
Long wait for service and dirty plates everywhere in the garden. I appreciate it was busy but they could have done with some more staff. Otherwise, a very pleasant afternoon.
Very friendly staff, good food, excellent service, we can highly recommend this pub. Will definitely come back.
Lovely meal outside at lunchtime. Needed a sun shade though. [Sorry to complain about sun - it was lovely but too hot]
A really beautiful forest with helpful guides!
We attended for a family party, this is a lovely pub, with friendly staff and the food was fine, found it to be a bit pricey, especially for drinks, but overall a nice little pub.
Lovely pub lovely food
amazing staff and really good food. even when very busy the staff kept on top of everything.
Back to New Forest Ashurst after a funeral. Good food and drinks. Staff very pleasant. Thoroughly recommend
Fabulous staff... Prince, James, Lucaz, Nacho and the girls plus now of course Annette... serve decent beer, Tim is a fab chef and all of them with a smile ☺
Lovely place, lovely food and great staff. Would definitely go there again
Brilliant little camp site pub directly next door and train station , very clean facilities and staff couldn't be nicer 😀 10/10 highly recommended
Beautiful setting and kind hearted people
Excellent Sunday roast, great service and lovely atmosphere. Will return when back in that neck of the woods
Chain pub fullers. Convenient for campsite and train station. Usual selection of chain pub drinks and food. Was busy Saturday night mid august but we still got a table at 8pm walk in just about.
A nice experience with a pleasent evening menu. A Fullers Pub for those who may be interested
Great pub restaurant with a small but good menu. Large gardens with a play area, so great for sunny days and families.
Dog friendly.
Excellent staff I have to say. Particularly Nacho, who is Argentinian, very chatty and brilliant for their business.
Lovely pub, lovely situation.
One of my favourite pub gardens in the UK
Great food, lovely staff, very dog friendly been here a few times & never been dissapointed, highly recommend 😊
Lovely place. Always come here in the summer and for my nieces birthday. Brilliant service and garden area. Dog friendly
Fantastic pub with a nice, cosy atmosphere, great food and well kept ale. Highly reccomended. Right next to the train station too which is handy!
Great play area for kids <10 decent back yard, great service and the humous and felafel were fantastic!
Tasty food, very friendly service and great choice of gluten free options
Been coming here for years and though it has changed a lot through out them, it has always been a great place to chill in the New Forest. Even been known to see huge herds of deer wandering around in the surrounding forest.
Extremely overpriced due to having a campsite right next door! The Happy Cheese is 2 minutes down the road which is a lot more reasonably priced. I recommend going there instead.
Roast beef dinner was amazing!
Very nice food friendly staff will recommend and return
Loved the food here at the pub near the campsite. Well impressed.
Didn't go much on the chips, being triple cooked expected better, good beer good service
Nice food, lovely staff, not too busy
Lovely pub with huge garden and good ale and food options. Located near train station so perfect if you want to have a drink and not worry about driving.
Quite during week day. Nice fire going. Average burger considering it was like £14 I was expecting something a little more special.
Nice place eat, drink & chat, staff pleasant & helpful. I'll use this pub again.
Gorgeous meal here in the garden in the sunshine. Lovely home cooked and full social distancing measures in place
The most excellent roast beef dinner I've tasted in a long time.Very generous portion.
Drinks quite pricey as expected but pizza menu highly recommended. Great value and they're much larger than you'd expect based on price
Friendly staff good atmosphere. good quality food at a very reasonable price, looking forward to the next visit.
Good food, great for familys. .. *chicken a little dry*
Great food, a lovely restaurant, would definitely go again.
Events are great, but getting served takes ages. Ale selection is generally weak. If there is an event on then parking can be a nightmare.
Good place to go for a drink. Nice outside facilities.
Plenty of outside seating. Popped in for Sunday lunch and had a very nice meal
Great Sunday Lunch
Sammy is really lovely and helpful. A great member of the team. He went above and beyond.
Food was nice, staff were welcoming.
Good food, good beers and a massive beer garden with plenty of tables and a play park for the kids. Space to play on the grass too. We'll be back!
Nice atmosphere. Food is good. Price is high. Staff isn't great, I've had problems more than once. Like dropping parts of an order.
Great staff, lots of outside space, drinks not to expensive will definitely visit again.
Really lovely pub, good food and friendly service...👍
Lovely pub in the lovely New forest, friendly staff that are welcoming, also welcomed my dog
Lovely food, friendly service and dogs are very welcome. Would highly recommend!
Cool pub in a good spot with good food
Nice place for a Sunday lunch....only issue was being sat in the conservatory area and it was a bit on the cold side...apart from that all was good staff friendly and helpful
Lovely place to eat. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings.
I love this place and wish I lived closer so I could visit more. Friendly staff and the perfect venue to bring the family including dogs.
My Sunday Roast was great and the staff was really polite... i had a really good experience and a lovely lunch on my Birthday
Excellent service and friendly staff.
Limited menu choice, food average for the price which isn't cheap. Lovely dog friendly beer garden and loads of seating.
Great outdoor space, great staff, great location. But limited menu and cutlery looked like it could do with a proper clean.
Huge pub garden and the perfect stop to start/finish our cycle around part of The New Forest.
Great dog friendly pub. Good choice of ales and lagers alike. Food is typical pub grub, well cooked and priced.
It's a pub - it has beer and food. Kids area is good.
Homely, friendly pub.
Very good food, great service and comfy environment xx
Great food drink and service really nice family place to bring your family a little pricey tho £19.5 for a roast but it's good
The food was delicious (harissa chicken with Israeli couscous) but drinks were expensive and very impersonal app based service
Basic pub grub. Card only. Very unfair on visitors. Did not return because of this
A beautiful place so much to do
Very professional on arrival, dogs are very welcome, ordering food and drinks simple.
Great Sunday roast. Generous portions without compromising on quality. Friendly and helpful staff.
It was brilliant my whole family loved it brilliant family day trip out stopped for a picnic in the forest had lots of fun great for little kids to burn energy and Run free
Very nice place and friendly staff. Delicious food.
Nice friendly pub on edge of New Forest, only had a few drinks and sat in garden area but the food looked good that was being served.
Lovely pub in the new forest selling great food in a cosy atmosphere.
Int eh summer they have outdoor BBQs and the Sunday Carvery is always good
This is a lovely friendly pub with good food and great walks from it.
Great service. Only had snacks; scotch egg, squid, and chips very good. London pride also good
Nice pub great location, had the burger with three friends also having burgers they were so good very juicy staff were very helpful
Fantastic pub set in the beautiful area of Ashurst in the New Forest. Great food and selection of drinks, plus a number of board games to keep you entertained.
Whoops my previous review was as indicated on the wrong place, that we visited afterwards. This place has a great location, lovely grounds and decent cider.. sorry for confusion..
A gorgeous pub with 2 open fires. Very cosy and high quality pub food.
Good pub with good staff. Food was very nice.
This is one of our favourite place to go with the kids, nice play area, nice walks out the pub. Love this place.
A lovely place to visit. The food was delicious, I was just disappointed they couldn't do me the vegan roast they had advertised.
Food is really good, the covid arrangements are very clear and ordering very simple via app. Would recommend.
Nice pub, but unfriendly staff and seriously overpriced, very average food. Definitely better places to find in New Forest.
Good pub food, well cooked. Relaxing a comfortable decor, price was good too. Recommended!
Really helpful staff and great food but quite pricey.
Nice atmosphere and dog friendly in the bar section, friendly efficient staff, just should have vegan options on the menu
Bit pricey but great on the whole😊
Good food, good service and lovely surroundings.
Great food amazing garden with park for the kids. Very close to train station. We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the sun
Been visiting this pub for years when in the forest, and always had good food and service.
Lovely atmosphere, wonderful food, nice decoration, beautiful outdoors, very kind staff. I want to come over and over again.
Very friendly and welcoming
Amazing meal again, good menu choices, great staff and covid friendly
Good staff but less organised than last year. Improved by table ordering instead of having to order food at the bar.
good food but expensive and had to wait ages (over an hour ) from ordering to receiving . would have been nice to have been told we would have such a long wait.
Excellent food, lovely garden, great staff!
Went there for a special occasion. Food is great! Dog friendly and on the edge of the New Forest! Beautiful
Had a fantastic meal, such a lovely pub, the staff are very helpful and polite will be coming again soon
Could this possibly be the best beer garden in England? Great place, great food and staff and a setting like no other.
Great pub in the forest. On site parking.
Close to the railway and campsite.
Outdoor seating.
Restaurant.
Real ale.
Live music nights.
Nice pub and garden and handy if your camping at Ashurst but being a 'Fullers' food and drink aren't Wetherspoon prices.
Having had a bad first post lockdown experience elsewhere it was a brilliant experience and excellent food. Thank you so much.
came with a group of friends for lunch we were 13 people and they happily accommodated us hard to find parking but the food and the service was really nice
I quite enjoyed it!!!!
Friendly helpfull staff clean and tidy and a brilliant chef made food to my exact liking would give them more stars if optional
Lovely pub friendly service nice garden area will happily go again
Good food, good service, beautiful big public house, massive beer garden, beautiful view of the edge of the forest and it's ponies.
Nice family style pub, good food and a huge garden for the kids to run around.
Don't forget to get your cutlery as they won't give it to your table this restaurant and sarcastically expect you to know this.
Lovely place, social distancing seems to work well. Food not great, service not much better.
Huge Garden, nice playground for toddlers, good atmosphere, quick service and they had a musician playing which was good and not too loud.
Friendly staff, good portion sizes, tasty food, comprehensive drinks menu
Good food great children's play area and handy if your staying at the local campsite
Nice pub, dog friendly and pretty good food. We were there in Friday evening and there was live music....
Excellent customer service. We had an amazing afternoon. Thank you so much
The food was nice, but service was slightly disorganised.
Been here in the past and disappointed tried again vast improvement nice meal covid well dealt with friendly staff will go again
Love it! Great food, great area, great pub!! Love sitting by the fireplace on cold winter days/nights :D
Food very good service excellent and they were very Covid safety conscious
Great food, but a bit pricy
i feel that there are better pubs for both locals and tourists in the area. not a great variety of drinks (cider drinker).
Great Sunday roast. Service was excellent. Lovely place to visit while in the New Forest.
Been coming here for years on our trips to the New Forest consistently good
Great place been there meny times good family atmosphere food very hot and lots of it will come again
Not as good as last year! Music was better, the staff were great, but the food was an absolute disappointment
A really good family pub with plenty of space, very good food and a really nice attitude to families with children
