S. C.Have been twice in the last few weeks. First time on a Sunday for a roast and again on a Saturday for my daughter's birthday. Lovely pub, and pleasing that there weren't loads people crammed close together. There's also outside seating options - both front and back. Food was really delicious, home cooked and massive portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful and very sensitive to the needs of our young granddaughters. It was nice that there was some background music but nothing too loud. Good value for your money. Lovely atmosphere and family friendly. Will definitely go again!
M. W.Great food and great beer! Flowerpots ale is the best. Staff here are amazing and it's a shame they are leaving. They have a bar area and an eating area, seating also available outside. Proper local pub!
P. S.The Roll Call is a great traditional pub. I've been welcomed as an occasional by the team and colourful locals. Beers are great, and when we've eaten there in the best the food has also been great.
B. P.I took my dad here for his birthday lunch and it was so a cosy and a nice pub felt welcoming and the food was amazing. It was also very well priced for three of us. Would recommend and will be going again.
M. V.A really nice pub with many tables outside on the grass. They have a tented area for the rain. Excellent COVID protocols and ordering is a breeze through their online page.

A. K.Love this place. The best pub roast we have ever had. The staff are lovely and they all remembered us after only one previous visit. The waitress also remembered that my child has a nut allergy. I would definitely recommend you give it a try. The roast on the left is a small pork roast (not so small) and the other is the lamb roast - delicious!

S.The Roll Call, finally an opportunity to indulge, having heard many positive comments and read the rave reviews on trip adviser enjoyed the most delicious Sunday roast, exquisite, great service from very friendly staff. You will need to book as this is a very popular and busy venue, loved everything about it. Special mention of the New Zealand touch, Old Mout Cider is among the Bar refreshments.

t.Visited the Roll Call for the first time with 2 friends yesterday evening and had a delicious home cooked Christmas meal . The staff were very friendly and have really worked hard decorating the pub. The food was delicious and plentiful. Towards the end of the evening the chef came around to every table and asked if everything was to their satisfaction, at many other places it's very often the waitress who asks but here it's the chef.
Will certainty be paying another visit soon .
C. M.Just had the best traditional home cooked roast dinner in a very long time at this pub. No wonder you have to book to get a table on a Sunday. Very quick, delightful and friendly service in a very friendly warm and quiet atmosphere. Very hard to beat this experience.

J. K.Food is unbelievable. I don't usually eat pies when dining out but feeling rather hungry decided to try the chicken ham leek pie and I have to say I've never tasted a pie like this one.
The atmosphere was friendly and the hosts were extremely nice people, definitely going back!

p. b. C.If you live anywhere close to this lovely pub you need to enjoy a meal there. Although the menu looks like standard pub food the quality is incredible. The place is one of those well kept secrets that find occasionaly and then want to keep to yourself. The fish and chips is heavenly and if lemon meringue is on the pudding menu DO NOT miss out

E. M.Great Sunday roast, friendly helpful staff, always willing to help out. Took my granddaughter one on occasion who is 5. Ordering pudding she asked for chocolate ice cream with some strawberry around it and some strawberry sauce, which of course was not on the menu, I will see what I can do said the waitress and came back 5 mins later with was served with exactly what she wanted. Is rare to find a place that actually wants to please their customers.

C. K.Ok let's get things in perspective! Lin and I have been in lockdown and today was our first venture to the outside 'pandemic' world. But it was Lins birthday, so as good a time as any to do it. Also the first time that the Roll Call have done food since reopening. So did we feel safe? As houses! I must admit it was scarry but Dear Roz and Shaun (and Lucy) - Thanks for making it great. You've followed the rules, made us safe and made us feel special. Don't know what the rest are like like but you've done well. And if you're wary like us, and surely we're not the only ones, then the Roll Call is the place to make your first trip out.
