Lovely restored barn with some gorgeous nods to it's history. Staff always seem nice and helpful and the food is always consistant, cheap and cheerful.

Been coming here weekly since it opened and it remains fantastic value for money. Really interesting building, spotlessly clean and decent choice of drinks. Food menu has shrunk over the years, but how else can they keep the price down? 5 stars!

Like most Wetherspoons, quite quirky with a nice big open wood burning fireplace Food isn’t award winning but it filled a gap and the drinks are cheap

Used to love getting breakfast here on a Friday, always nice food and cheap prices. Unfortunately the menu has changed a lot and my two favourite dishes (scrambled egg on toast and pancakes) have been removed. I'm not a huge fan of fry ups as end up removing mushrooms, hash browns and beans, so waste of time ordering a breakfast. Will have to find a new Friday breakfast spot

Went a couple of weeks ago for breakfast and they had no pancakes despite being next door to a major supermarket (can no one actually make pancakes! apparently they buy them in frozen ready made). This time salad bowl had at least 3 chips in it & they don't do sweet potato fries! Food isn't bad & certainly good value.

Surprising nice for a Weatherspoons. Still get a fair few rough people, as you would expect. Tables could be cleared up quicker (you often have to ask them to clear up, or do it yourself) Other than that, it's fairly nice.

Long wait for our food and it was busy but not packed. Manager wasn't very nice about it then when she brought the food had changed her tune. Food was good but seems like most of it had been left under the heat light the salad was warm Ha. Really.

An average Weatherspoons in an above average building. Free parking make this a tempting stop. You'll need the free parking as the wait for food is horrific! Expect an hour or more for a burger!!! The oak framed building is old, full of character and fitted out with a nice mezzanine floor. There are booths fitted for those requiring privacy.

Food was tasty and well presented. Staff were polite and friendly, service was great. Only let down... a little bit grubby, though still the best Weatherspoons experience i've had! Great value for money! Will be visiting again.

Great pub in a listed grade II building. Lovely layout and very quick service. My only gripe is lack of vegan options but the booze is cheap and the staff on at the time were OK. Poor Gemma, in another review, only got half a cup of coffee from a bottomless cup situation. Here's a revolutionary idea, press the button again and fill the other half up, it's amazing when someone can point out the obvious. Also she was a little upset at getting the bottomless hot drink herself, aww, what a little mummies girl. Why not burn a couple of those calories you just ate with your chips instead of salad and walk the 10 feet to the coffee machine and press the little button yourself. Well great pub.

Myself an family eat regularly at the Parsons barn in Shoesbury, either for an evening meal or even on of your Delicious Breakfasts your meals have always been good value for money an the staff are pleasant, only had to wait on a couple of occasions for a table when going of an evening but that's when it's been extremely busy

Went today for meal 22nd February 2025 ordered the scampi chips and fish chips had to send both meals back, as they was both cold, you really need to sort out the food you expect customers to eat , hot and not cold, I should not have to say please make sure my meals are hot when ordering,

I have breakfast here every Saturday - unbeatable price, great quality. Freedom breakfast with black pudding never disappoints, plus unlimited coffee refills. Great atmosphere. Free parking nearby. Recommended.

As a wheelchair user, I look for certain things. i.e. accessible entrance: which they had, clean toilets: not really but I've seen worse and a radar key is needed. Also, tables that you can wheel underneath nicely. Good set out and it has a really nice menu and good value.
