This is the 2nd time I have been here. The food was absolutely 💯 amazing. Burger was fantastic and it was great to have homemade chips. I wish more places did homemade chips. Service from the waitress could have been better. She never acknowledged when we said thank you or even when we left and said goodbye.

First time we have been to the blacksmiths arms and it won't be our last .lovely freshly cooked food. And proper chips. And excellent service and welcome from Bradley. We will be recommended it to friends and family .Hope to visit again soon .

Popped in this afternoon for the first time after living local for some time now and driving past regularly. Great little pub with good food and good beer. They've got the back portion of the car park currently turned into an extended seating area which is great for getting outside in the sun and keeping some space if you're wanting to. Would definitely return.

Visiting the area, chose to go here for Sunday Carvery after many other locations couldn't fit us In. Food was excellent. Friendly service. Only really minor point was card machine not working, fortunately had cash, but wasn't told on our arrival. Four carvery meals (3 small and one large) plus a round of drinks 37 quid. Can't complain about that

A decent pub with some nice ales. From the outside it has a bit of character, but unfortunately it has been the victim of a modern refurbishment. So now it is all straight lines, hard floor and pale green paint. It's all a bit clinical😏

Nice old pub, great burgers. Comfy seating. Very friendly staff. Returned again, now our local. It was a nice sunny evening so went for a pint. Again, friendly staff, COVID precautions in place; outside seating and 2 lounge areas. Toilets were clean. Didn't have any food this time round, but will be back.

Went to this pub yesterday with my husband and 2 grandaughters age 10 and 8. We all had a lovely time. The bar staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was very tasty and very reasonable. Have no hesitation in recommending this pub. We will certainly be returning soon.

A very comfortable and spacious property that has a very good range of beers with an extensive food menu incluuding snacks and pies. A dedicated dining area, outside seating and easy parking make this a popular pub in the area.

This review represents a coach party of 41. We were looking for a venue where we could all have a meal together enroute near to the A38. From the enquiry stage forward the service was excellent. The booking was easy and efficient, with helpful welcoming staff. Despite getting held up in traffic en route which necessitated telephoning to say that we would arrive approx. 1 hour late, the efficient, friendly, helpful service could not have been better and they were in no way phased. When we arrived and seated with drinks, the food came out for the whole party hot and was very much enjoyed by all. Even the 'locals customers' at the bar were friendly. All in all, it was an excellent find for 'decent pub grub' and all credit to the staff for coping with a large group so efficiently. All 41 of us would all recommend this pub!
