Marvellous! The wife and I took a friend for Sunday lunch to the Duke William earlier today. We'd booked a nice table by the window in the dining room upstairs and it was all laid out beautifully with plenty of elbow room all round. Everything from the booking to the drinks and food service were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble - they even gave me a free pint of beer when the one I'd ordered wasn't available. The food was plentiful and delicious, with a particular call out to the steak 'n' kidney pudding and the roast beef which were gorgeous. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

We go for a meal at dinnertime. The Duke does a small menu for £4.95 and if u have a starter it is an incredible £5.50. The food is amazing for the price. Great portions & great quality. The homemade pies are a triumph. Don't expect a la carte just good hearty food. Give it a try!

Food was outstanding and when you look at the cost for a 2 course lunch meal at £5.50...it becomes unbelievable. I would recommend anyone that is free for lunch to go here. If not get yourself a Tastecard and you can get 50% the impressive food in the evening. We will be visiting again that's for sure.

Visited for the first time on Sunday and had a Roast dinner which was superb. Beautifully cooked, hot and well presented. Very impressed and will definitely be visiting again.

A large and old fashioned, but very attractive building that gives an insight to what Stoke-on-Trent pubs used to be like. There are several rooms, all of which are large but yet cosy, and they also have a good choice of ales and bottle beers.

This was the 2nd Christmas Meal at the Duke and just as the first time it was fantastic. The menu choices were really good and the food was delicious.All our party thoroughly enjoyed the experience Certain to go again.

Only used the pub before never eaten here the restaurant is upstairs and what a lovely room it is and the food didn't let us down either it was lovely had the vege lasagne it came with garlic bread and side salad it was piping hot delicious will definitely go there again 👍

OK. Its big problem is that it’s in Burslem. We had a pleasant works Christmas lunch there. The food was ok but it was a bit like time travelling back to the seventies.
