E. S.Lovely pub meal with a friend and my two children.
Pub is very clean and tidy.
Currently potty training my son so was nice to see the addition of the family toilet since I have last been!
No long wait for the food. Friendly staff :)

The service was ok, although the 'computer' didn't allow me to option my meal the way the menu suggests you can. So a little misleading.
My friend ordered his meals for his family before me which did include a starter that he asked repeatedly that starter and mains all come out together as he wanted the starter as a supplement to the mains. That didn't happen.
I then ordered my families meals, mains only.
His starter came out. Then my families meals came out. Then another 25mins later his families meals came out. We had pretty much finished our meals by that point. So a disappointing experience in this regard.
The one saving grace and the reason I have given 3 stars is the quality and quantity of the food was for the most part brilliant. Really enjoyed our meals. I had a very large and very tasty burger. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly and our sides were spot on.
My friends families meals were mostly good although his chips were a bit over done.
So a shame really. Good food, poor service.
The good thing is that it an easy fix, if they want to. 🤷🏻♂️

Been going gables for many years and seen some managers come through, the last 1 was awful and not a single person I know who went there had a good experience.
New management seem very nice, cheerful and looking to bring the Gables back to life.
