Tradional style pub. Food was good and it was quite busy. Children and dogs welcome. Update: Cosy and warm on a cold evening, Food waiting time not long and good choice. We felt very welcome and were served politely and friendly. Recommended.

We visited the Horseshoe inn for dinner on Thursday. Met by a lovely friendly lady serving at the bar. Service was brilliant, food was very good too. We were very impressed and will definitely go back. Recommended

Excellent service from the staff, they had a huge table of 26 in but still made sure we were served quickly and came to take our order really quickly. Very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. Let us set up a tab too as we were sat inside

I went in there with my walking group, and it's not our first visit and always a pleasure. The food is excellent, you would not believe it was a light bite because of the size, the staff always make you feel welcome which is a big plus for me and my friends.

Went back for the first time in about 10 years with my dad. Dad's a big fan of Marstons Pedigree and this pub's peddy was always so well kept that in my early 20s it actually began my transition from a lager drinking child into a real ale …

Really traditional pub with a good atmosphere. Outdoor space and beer garden for the summer and a classic interior of dark woods and tiled floor. Homely with open fires and dogs welcome. Food is very nice and reasonably priced and even has an extensive menu for vegetarians and vegans.

Nice little rural pub which allows dogs inside. Part of the Marston's chain so the food was really good as expected. We went on a weekday evening and it wasn't massively crowded so if you prefer a quieter evening then it's a great spot. I presume it must only get a lot busier on weekend and through the summer as there's a large beer garden with close to 20 tables and play area at the bottom with climbing frame. Ample parking space though around the back of the pub.

We booked in for the Mother’s Day 3 course meal and what can we say, “it was amazing”, especially the apple and whisky tart. All the staff were very friendly and we couldn’t ask for anything more. A lovely place a bit far out but completely worth it, well done to the team, totally 5 stars. We are looking forward to the new menu and we will definitely be back.

Nice setting and good garden with playground. The interior was nice and the staff were too with my limited interaction. Good selection of food and drinks. We all ordered food. My husband and I had the roast dinner and daughters had lasagne. All meals were very generous in size - too big. The food was ok. We went to the Horseshoe Inn for a family get together and it was a good venue for that as kids could run around outside and there was scope for our big party to sot together inside. I wouldn't travel here for the food alone but we had a lovely time on our visit.

Wonderful location, fabulous service and mouth-watering food! Stopped off for Sunday lunch with the other half and was blown away by the quality of food and service - 100% recommend!
