Great local pub that serves quality food and drink and features good live entertainment on some Saturdays. Friendly and helpful bar staff. Good for business meetings and functions with a good space in the adjacent room. The recent refurbishment has enhanced this great historic pub, with a fabulous beer garden, sheltered smoking area and children's play area. Good parking facilities too. Looks inviting and atmospheric at night with the lanterns on. Either passing through, having something to eat or in for the night I'm sure you will enjoy this place and want to come back.

Amazing food and great prices. 2 course Sunday Lunch for £9.45 We had lamb and it was amazing. You can upgrade from a medium to a large for £1 and its well worth th £1 upgrade Lamb, roast potatoes, mash or new potatoes, 2 yorkshire pudding, stuffing, carrots, peas,cabbage and gravy. Toffee sponge and custard for pud. It was lovely . Worth a visit

It's a lovely pub . Also the meals are lovely especially the Salmon with Carrots and Salad potatoes. Also the brie bites are lovely too. Bailey's cheesecake is lovely too . Awesome Gin and tonic and lovely Rosé.

Would recommend this pub for its food,the chips are an absolute delight. Fantastic for taking children to for family time,something to amuse the kids whilst waiting for the meals to be made fresh. My son can't eat certain things for medical reasons but the staff are always willing to help with his problems. I have never had a bad meal from here,my kids always want to go for the family birthday meal or for their reward treat Thank you to the owners and staff, they are all so polite and helpful xx

Lovely clean pub, attentive but not overbearing staff. We had meals off the £6.95 for two courses menu and a child meal, our chips, sausage, eggs and beans were freshly prepared lovely homemade chunky chips, served hotter than sun, eggs cooked lovely so still some dippage but no horrid snotty film over it nice sausages and beans. The only complaint was the childrens pizza was microwaved. Will definitely come here again. Also very close to the Royal stoke hospital and lots of shops.
