Great pub. So welcoming. Great with kids my two kids love it. Staff are amazing.. Even land lord is brilliant. Could not sing the Gardeners Retreat with more praise.not a bad thing could be said. Have great entertainment.

An absolutely fantastic venue with an awesome atmosphere and great staff and MOST customers alike. Ed and the team do a great job of making everybody feel welcome and that they enjoy their time there and hopefully return again. When the suns out its always my go to pub. Great beer garden area and always a friendly atmosphere. Pre or post match days can be busy, but always a good feel and worth the extra wait

Nipped in to have a crazy half as needed the toilet and ended up staying for an hour cracking atmosphere and staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back in when passing. Well worth a visit 👍

I go in for a couple of pints before every Stoke home game. Staff are very friendly and will have a chat. Even if the bar is very busy, you are never waiting long to be served.

Nice place for a party . Catering was very nice food was hot and well presented.Wine Spirits and beer well stocked and a good choice. Enjoyed the D.J. also karaoke 🎤 was soo much fun . When looking for a place for a party then I'd recommend you take a look .

Had my wedding reception here in there function room which was decorated fantastically by Helen who looked after us from start to finish she also did the food for the buffet which was lovely I would recommend this place to anybody who is holding a party, 5 stars all the way ...and not to forget Ed who also did a fantastic job , cheers for a great night ..... .

Was there for about 8 hours yesterday and can honestly it was lovely. Staff were friendly and i can't fault anything about the place. Beers were lovely. Bot too expensive either

Always made feel welcome. Great range of Ales & spirits. Comfortable chilled out evening with my pals & tunes from the Duke box out in front bar. All the while a function took place in the large lounge area. All served immediately by great friendly staff 👌

Use to love going here..... until a few months ago when they started charging on match days to take your car on the car park. You don't even get a voucher for a bar discount. Oh, and they have striped the place bare inside. Not a picture or a TV can be found. Poor really. Edit.. Changed owners now. Parking free again thankfully. But still a little bare inside and no sport showed on the telly (in fact I don't think there is a telly). Be nice to see a little more Stoke memorabilia on the walks mind. Edit.. Apparently they don't charge to park now.

70th birthday party in the function room, had a great night the room is the perfect size for such an event, the DJ and catering was organised by chris the new owner for us and both where great and reasonably priced. The bar staff where always friendly and nothing too much trouble fantastic night.
