Our very first visit but well impressed :0). Excellent ale for Jacqui and myself. Bottled Erdinger for Jacqui and two Inadequate pale ales to choose from for me :0) The sad part of this visit is we've got to go home.........

Been going to 'The Holy' since I was 18, for a long time it was the best pub in the area and it wasn't even close, but then for a few years as the brewery was being set up it lost its way for quite a bit for me. But I've started going back quite regularly again in recent months, the cask selection (the amount was never an issue, always plenty of choice, but the quality of them were questionable for me personally) has got better, the choice on keg has gotten much better, the can/bottle selection too. Proper pub, the bar staff in all of them years have been wonderful & the owner is a good guy. Grab yourself a pork pie with mustard & pickle too!

This is quite possibly the best pub I've ever visited, and as an experienced booze-hound, I've visited *loads* of pubs. The setup here is perfect for the individual drinker or large groups to get along without excess noise or bother and to enjoy conversation fuelled by very inexpensive perfectly kept beer.

Traditional "Back Street Pub" with links to the industrial Heritage of the City. It has it's own " Micro Brewery" on site, and serves a vast range of beautifully kept hand pulled Ales. One of my favourite all time Pubs, which has won CAMRA awards for "best Pub in Staffordshire" many years running. It also has a nice Clientele. Give it a try, You won't be disappointed.

Amazing staff, friendly and knowledgeable of the ales available. Fantastic beers, stouts and ciders on tap. They brew their own drinks too and I recommend their milk stout, it's amazing. Great pork pies with mustard and/or pickle too.

A lovely little friendly and clean public house. Tucked away in Etruia but certainly worth a visit. If you like your real ales and ciders then it's a must. With all thats gone on over thenpast 18 months we have been for obvious reasons. But five of us went last Friday night for the first time in ages and we weren't disappointed. Lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Together with some real good beers on we couldn't fault the place. We will definitely be revisiting in the near future.

My all time favourite pub in the world, Paul and his staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and during the covid induced table service they are more attentive than any other pub I've visited, you won't have an empty glass for long put it that way! And as for the range of ales and lagers, you probably won't find better, and the top shelf is stacked too. Always clean and fresh inside plus new toilets now too, and a decent sized beer garden to top it all off. Don't delay, be inadequate today!!

Great beer. Great atmosphere. With range of origins beers and guest beers it's a great place to sample done of the UK's best beers. Combined with s long list of continental bottled beer and cider. During the winter there is always a warm open fire to welcome you. The local pork pies with a side of mustard or pickle always goes down well. Three pub is dog friendly for well behaved dogs.

Possibly the best pub I have ever been to. The bartender Mark was exceptional with his demeanor, knowledge of his craft and of course the epic beard. The owner Paul is seriously a very cool guy. Absolutely enjoyed every time I went there and plan on going back every time I travel to Stoke.

Great traditional pub with a large selection of real ales and friendly. I have been travelling around the country for the last month (different town every night) this is a welcome relief from the usual plastic pub chains. This is a pub for people who appreciate beer.

A traditional no frills pub with a vast selection of beers and ciders, don't expect to eat here unless crisps or pork pies will satisfy you. Bar staff are friendly, the only slight problem is the lack of seating, still well worth a visit.!

Great pub with good range of beers, ales and ciders. Pork pies available with mustard and pickle, the pub is always clean and the toilets are spotless, only negative is the bearded barman who can be quite obnoxious and rude and doesn't seem to like giving beer samples, people are always going to want to sample unknown expensive beers! Maybe the barman would be more suited to a career as a Troll under the bridge opposite the pub.
