Dogs allowed so a great start. Very warm welcome from the staff and also some of the locals. Food was great and the chips were amazing. The specials sounded amazing but we chose off the menu. We felt like we stepped into someone’s home, lovely. Will be coming back.

Lovely friendly service from the cheerful staff who were perfectly happy to accommodate me for a few hours. The Hoisin Crispy Beef Salad was recommended and rightly so - nicely presented but above all very tasty and nicely dressed salad.

We've been meaning to come here for a bite to eat for a long while and we're glad we did! The pub has a lovely ambience about it and the food was absolutely perfect, we went in for lunch and there was an offer for 2 courses for £10, we both had this and didn't regret it, starter and main were presented impeccably and tasted amazing. The beer was good and the staff were friendly. We will definitely come back on an evening and try something off the main menu which looks excellent. Overall an absolutely faultless meal, really enjoyed it and will 100% be back!!

The barman was courteous and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure our visit was a good experience. The only annoying problem seemed to be flies that we had to swat away. I don't know if it was just that day but they went to another table when their meals were delivered.

Been here before and again proved to be excellent. Ordered our beef Sunday lunch but unfortunately after about half an hour the waitress returned and explained the an error had been made on the cooking time for the beef it would not be ready on time for us. Luckily for us all they gave us a chicken lunch free of charge customer satisfaction at the Jinnie for sure will continue to use whenever possible.

Building was lovely, staff were welcoming and attentive. Unfortunately the food was a massive let down. My wife ordered some pasta off the specials board, the pasta was undercooked, dry and bland. I ordered a steak which came over cooked, it might be petty but it came with peas which it doesn't say on the menu and I really hate peas and would have asked for without had I known. Was supposed to come with garlic butter mushrooms, came with 5 tiny bits of mushroom. Peppercorn sauce was watery. The only good thing was the chips. I'll give them their due, they took my wife's meal off the bill and I have no bad word to say about any of the staff. We went because the reviews were really good and we may have just been unlucky but we won't be going back. Much better other places near by.

After a visit to family we decided to have a meal and the Jinnie looked to fit the bill. We were able to book a table no problem. The food and staff were nothing short of amazing. The party had a mix of ages and all were catered for. Sunday roast was one of the best I have ever had tasted. We also had kids in the group and the staff were really patient and kind which was really nice. Ok you have read the review why are you not booking a table? Do it you will not regret it

Lovely pub, nice staff, great quiz nights on a Monday which are fun. Lovely in the evening with the lights on and a nice location. Downside locals don't seem to like outsiders but we will be returning nonetheless. We need to try their home made pizzas!

A nice setting but disappointing having to wait over an hour for food service. The staff were friendly enough but not very organised, we had to ask more than once just for a menu. When the food came, the pizza was fantastic. My partner had a chicken burger which was very average, certainly didn't warrant such a long wait.

We really love dropping into the pub with friends, the food is nice and the atmosphere is really nice even with all the covid stafty stuff going on. The outdoor space is nice when the weathers good and the wood fired pizza is well worth a try. The staff are nice and really helpful. A pub worth visiting if your passing by and fancy a drink and something to eat.

Me and my partner have been to the Jinnie a couple of times over the past few weeks and we have to say the staff, service and food have all been excellent. We went this eve and to our amazement one of the bar/waiting staff remembered my partner was gluten intolerant from our last visit 2 weeks ago! The staff also went out of their way to make sure he didnt miss out with only being able to have the GF options which was lovely of them. Even with covid meaures in place the Jinnie is still making dining out a really enjoyable and stress free experience and the staff clearly go above and beyond which really is appreciated 😊

13/06/2018. Called in for lunch,first time been here. Very pleased, lovely pint of Marston pedigree, wife choice was g&t off the many on offer which were explained by the young lady behind the bar. Sat outside in the garden at the front of the pub, had beautiful meal, all fresh no ready meals or microwaved meals here! Reasonably priced and we'll presented. Would definitely recommend.

Staff were friendly, however, food was poor quality. Pie had very little meat, and could have done with something else to fill it out a bit - it was a typical meat + gravy with pastry on top of the pot. Chips were salty, not oven baked, and mediocre tasting. Only veg was peas or salad. Quite disappointed. Approach to social distancing was very lax compared to other restaurants we have been to. PPE is apparently not mandatory but gloves might be an idea. Signage once inside was not really adhered to or easy to follow if you needed to go anywhere apart from your table. Overall, atmosphere was nice but there are areas for improvement.

We had Sunday lunch at the Jinnie earlier in the year which was excellent so decided to book for Xmas Day lunch. Booking was easy and preordered from a great selection of starters, mains and desserts. Excellent communication with the Jinnie team and they helped when I needed to make some last minute changes accommodating us kindly. We arrived early on Christmas Day to a busy pub with a fantastic atmosphere. We had a few pre drinks and found a cosy table to sit at. We were then shown to lovely table in window for our Christmas Day feast on the 2nd sitting. A huge thank for a great Christmas Day with Simon Sally and the team. The Xmas lunch was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and not too fast or too slow. Just right. We all had such a fabulous time. We highly recommend The Jinnie and without doubt would eat again any day or Xmas Day. Please pass on our thanks to everyone.
